"is ananda? Your daughter at this school?"
"Yes. Aananda used to teach, but she spent so much time handling crises that she gave up teaching and is now head of security. Her children are here as well. You've met Ephebe of course. And James has several factories just outside of Kuros. Taron...recently returned. Vai is still a student. And, of course, since Aananda decided to adopt Ryo as a brother many years ago, I consider his three children to be my grandchildren as well, even if they aren't dragons. It....is rather a large family when you take into account mates and their families."
Dom laughs as he watches Renkai screw up his song just to show off. Turning back he walks to Tamina. "Amateurs. I still don't see what my sister sees in that guy." Dom looks around to see if Ty or Johnny has came or not. With what all happened he doubt any of them wanted to be on stage anymore.Dom could feel the cold stare from melody at that comment. it couldn't colder if he made the ice himself.
His name was Travis Bink
and he knew he was good,
A-PE was been a blast, He had used fore arms all his life, Gun-suits where something thing he new, well,. Back home his world was a smith world, where weapons where MADE for the Dragon empire. three shots three gun suits down, the Shrapnel shells into the Clerics and Mages, ok most of his class had been taken out and a large group of locals by they where getting in his way. The foot troops next, HE rounds into the ground around them and then Fire.
By the time he had done, the whole half detachment was nothing but streaming meat. He felt happy, he felt good, and wished there had been more.
Some ruble moved and from under it the big PE teacher robot came out.
Shaking it looked around.
"Mr Bink, I can see only two of your fellow class mates till here, the rest it seems are in the Medical wing. Most put there by you what do you have to say about that."
He popped the Gun-Suit cover.
"Nothing, they where slow and got in the way, seems none of them had used guns before, shame that, shows them not to get in my way next time. Never get in the way of the best, thats what they say"
And to make his point in one move he pulls out his gun and shoot in the head a last living Dragon Trooper who falls down at Rosa's feet.
"I see Mr Bink, The best you say, do you think you could take me on?"
His pride now was getting the better of him , but this relic from the past new nothing of the weapons they where making to day, a 1000 years old and out of date.
"Any time"
he said with bravado.
"Good then after Dinner would be fine, Here in SIMROOM one Mr Bink if you please, we shall fight a nice duel, you and I, Bring one gun and one type of round 2 shots maximum. If that is ok with you"
he looked at her,
Stupid robot, she had no idea what he could do with two rounds.
"Ya sound good"
And with that he left, Rosa went back to work.
Dinner came and went, She noted Mr Bink enter simroom one, she made her way there some time after.
Entering the large city the SIM was running, she had this set up before Mr Bink came.
He was there, In a full battle Suit, armored and shielded with Dragon special forces equipment, state of the art stuff and with a very powerful looking gun. She had nothing but a small handheld laser.
"So you ready for this robot, I thought you would have come in a suit."
Rosa looked at him, that thing could crush her with its bar hands.
"I am Mr Bink, you know the rules, two shots each is all we get, lets begin."
Me moved, the suit was good but it slowed his speed, she moved, fast Jumping up and to left, moving past trees that would counter the tracking systems in his suit. Then down and behind a building,
"You know Robot this suit can detect you even hidden like that"
She know that it was why she was still loving, speed was the key here, keep him from getting a lock.
"You know on my home world we have target practice on Robots like you. they are fun to shoot but nothing like real flesh, nothing like dragons or bigger things, Me an my dad would to worlds you know, ones marked has hunting you know, where big things where made to be killed.
Great fun. Thats where we came up with this little thing."

Ardiente was skirting the boundries of his oath, but it wasn't a direct lie, merely a misdirection. He intended to leave tonight to tell his family. He didn't trust the mirror-masked man enough to leave his family in danger.
Ardiente is definitely leaving tonight. He doesn't want to be any more of a burden to the del Sol family - he feels he's been enough of one already. He'll solve his own problems.
It sounds.... Nice, to be surrounded by family...." sheess says slightly wistful....

She nods, and notes that no one is getting up on stage to follow Melody... "I guess it's my turn then. Wish me luck!" she says to Belyu, before trotting up onto the stage, going back into the instrument room to retrieve her harp and a stool so she could sit while playing.
The room has quieted down considerably, everyone wanting to pay attention to the tryouts. Vai sets the harp down, the stool in front of it. She looks at the butterfly with a smile, and then places her hands at the ready, taking a moment to make sure she had the tempo right..
Midori looks down curiously when Hew-kun takes her hand, but she doesn't break the contact, instead gripping it slightly for comfort. She was lucky to have such caring friends. Friends she had helped to save. Her eyes glass up ever so slightly, barely noticeable, and even then, could simply be tiredness from the day. She reaches over and takes Grim-kun's hand with her free one, smiling at both of them, somewhat overcome with emotion, and not really sure what to say.
melody listens to Vai's playing and smiles she quietly slips on stage behind her and takes a seat she had grabed another harp from backstage on the way.
malody plays a soft accompaniment to vai's playing. sh eis very carful to give vai the center stage and hopes that melody on stage gives her strength
Melody does have a soft side as well.
As Vai was about to start, she sees Fieri's beaming, proud face from the sea of people, and then it's easy. She's back in the classroom with her sister, having fun and learning. There's not a whole bunch of people watching, just her sister. And so she plays.
Her fingers fly across the strings, plucking them nearly perfectly, only losing the tempo once, but she recovers so quickly it was barely noticeable. She plays an upbeat song, a song that invokes a playful - but also peaceful - afternoon at the beach, or the excitement felt at the beginning of an adventure. Once Melody joins in with her, the confidence that she gets from having someone else performing with her - just in case, to cover her mistakes - seems to overflow, and she makes no more mistakes, playing every note perfectly, the music is beautiful and moving.
Hew stands from his seat. "Come on! You two lets celebrate Midori health with something fun."
Midori seems surprised and almost resistant at first... but then fiercely hugs back, tilting her head so that her horn doesn't poke into sensei. She nods in response to Blackscales-sensei's suggestion and the pair open their eyes, once again in the Headmistress' office.
Midori looks at her two friends - close friends now, despite they've only known each other a day at most. It was a busy day, but the companionship between her and the other two is easy to see. They've been through alot together after all. "Thank you again, both of you. You're very good friends."
grim smiles and says "it was nothing, you needed help and I.. We helped you, it's what frends do.. Right?" He gently squeezes her hand.
as the mention of celbrating begins there is a knock at the door and it slowly opens.

Since I already plan on spending some time researching that, let me help your brother too, or at least make the attempt"

It's why we took so long to react to the attacks by the Hunters. And by then it was too late."

Fieri hadn't been planning to attend the try-outs, but then someone told her that her sister was warming up on the harp, so she had to come and cheer her on.
As soon as Vai was done playing she clapped loudly.
"WHOOOOOOO! Go Vai!"
"Celebrate?! What do you want to do, Hew-kun?" she returns Grim's squeeze, looking back and forth between them. "It is what friends do!" she smiles broadly, unrestrained for the moment by any sense of propriety. "Lang-kun! It's safe, come in!" Midori beams at him as well, despite the fact that she didn't know him very well.

I came to see if everyone is alright. sorun is in bed he fell asepp in the hallway so I took him to his room at the bottom of the lake.

Umm I here parties are fun I haven't been to any since before I became a squire, but it might be a little late for that. Hmm. What do you guys like to do?" Hew scratches his chin trying to think of stuff to do as a group.

I've just been going through these club applications. Some are plain ridiculous, and some are too dangerous. Anything that involves planar binding of any kind isn't allowed - the Headmaster doesn't want a repeat of the incident with the Summoning Club. Some clubs don't have a supervisor yet, or the requisite members... they go into this pile here to be told that they need to re-apply once they have the requisite things..." Tyrrin rattles off a couple more details of her filing system, before standing up, swaying slightly. "You're sure you're okay with this?"
Her performance finished, the cheers and clapping starts - Vai spots again her sister's encouraging face in the crowd, and smiles back. She delivers a proper stage bow, before picking up her harp and the stool, hurrying backstage.
As soon as she's off the stage, she slumps against the backstage wall, nerves finally catching up with her.
Dom watched as Melody's friend played the harp. As she finished He said to Tamina. "She's not to bad. I can tell she has practiced a lot or is it all just natural talent?" Dom applauded Vai's performance. He could tell she way pretty shy by looking at her. So he was happy to encourage her.

"Don't worry, we'll take care of the paperwork, promise. Go see your brother, and do yourself a favor: Try and remember that just because you see one thing, does not mean it isn't an all together completely different thing."
As hew charges past Lang dragging Midori along as if he isn't there lang makes his way out the door.

Dave nods and focuses again, suddenly there is a rumbling and one of the mountains ringing the vast area begins to shake, slowly the mountian is lifted into the air, Dave is visably straining, the mountian slowly comes closer to them he spits out "we should probably move" he then places it down directly on top of the hole, barely avoiding getting squashed himself, he looks to her panting "do you... Dom still scanning the rehearsal room for Ty and Johnny saids a little disappointed. "Well.. I guess they really aren't going to come. After all that's happened I can't blame them. Do you mind if we get out of here. I don't want to end up ruining my sister and her friends night giving her boyfriend cold stares." He asks Tamina. As he stands up. "Perhaps we could go for a swim now that the lake isn't as crowded." He offers his hand to her.
