Let it go, gentlemen.
Look, its taken me a long time to get to this point. Its been boiling and building for a long time, but its never been anything that I couldn't control.
Until Ice was rude towards me regarding my birthday. I don't even know why he felt the need to post that, but its was seriously rude. Maybe not to you all, but I look forward to my birthday for months in advance. I usually take a week off from work to celebrate, and always try to do epic and exciting things. This year, not only am I having an awesome party at a local bar, complete with $70 in gift certificates due to winning trivia and happy hour, but I am also flying out to Los Angeles for my first time, to attend a Vampire the Masquerade party/convention aboard an old World War II ship that's been converted into a hotel.
So yea, while his perhaps his comment was nothing to anybody it was actually quite insulting to me. My birthday is a seriously big deal for me, truly and honestly up there with Halloween and Christmas as my favorite days of the year.
I know many people who see their birthday as just another day of the year, but to me, my birthday is a celebration of life, of the year that just past, and of the year to come.

I love this game, and have made some really good Paizo friends here. Lyn, DB3, FCD and to a lesser extend Dalesman and Kryzbyn are all great people, who have help me a lot, and whose conversations about gaming or just life I really enjoy.
I really do not want to end up banned from this game, since not only do I have both Ace and Sil in play, but I have so many other PCs who are either near and dear to me or just concepts I've been dying to play in the works.

Now for the not so good.
Everyone who isn't one of the two actual participants of this conflict, stay out of it. Extra contributions don't help. Especially you, Foul. You are on your last warning and you need to remember that when tempted to throw a hissy fit about anything. Since things were taken down before I could read them I am somewhat in the dark as to the exact nature of the conflict, but I will address the obvious things I already see with only partial info.
Icehawk, I'll address you first. You made a bad judgement call bringing this (whatever it was) to a public forum. You should have brought it to me. I'm the GM and mediating player conflicts is part of my job. I would like to also emphasize that you are not in trouble. I am telling you, in the future, if you ever run into a situation like this again, please bring it to me first. Then you're not trying to deal with it on your own and if it really is that serious I can help walk you through what needs to be done.
MG, WTF? Seriously? I don't know what you said exactly, but you're talking to a teenager. One who is emotionally younger than his chronological age and has publicly admitted to having psychological problems. Use some freaking common sense. Not to even mention compassion. I know empathy doesn't come easy to you, but this is ridiculous. If you have a problem with another player and it's building up and building up, TALK TO ME. Seriously. As I told icehawk, it's my job as the GM to mediate player conflicts. And like it or not, sometimes you guys need an interpreter to explain things. And it is never okay to attack another player, especially over things that are out of their control. Without knowing exactly what was said I can't comment further, but I can already tell from the reactions that this was way out of line.
I expect every single player in this game to treat the other players with respect and courtesy to the best of their ability. If a joke falls flat or the punchline sounds more like a dig, I expect all of you to assume the best of your fellow player. Ask for clarification if necessary rather than flying off the handle. I expect that if players have a conflict with each other that they will come to me and talk it over so that we can all work things out in a civil manner.
Okay, so someone was kind enough to send me a copy of the message. So I'm going to say a couple things that need to be said in light of new information.
MG, there is no excuse for speaking like that to another human being. None. I am extremely disappointed in your actions.
Icehawk, at the risk of sounding like an "It Gets Better" PSA, you need to know that whether you have everything together or not, whether you are good at communicating with other people or not, you are worthwhile as a person. There will be times in life when people tell you otherwise. They're wrong. You are still quite young. You will change and grow and become more the person you want to be over time. Don't listen to the people who doubt you or tell you that you're worthless. It isn't true. You are capable of much more than you realize yet. Life is hard sometimes. It isn't fair. But it is also full of joy and beauty. The trick is learning to enjoy and appreciate those parts in spite of the difficult times. I thought about sending this to you in a PM, but I think that while, in general, criticism should be private, affirmation and praise is best done in public. So I'm going to say it again. You are worthwhile as a person. Repeat that as many times as you need. :)
