If somebody is doing the creating, fear would be around at the same time as the creation of patrons occurred.
This is important to remember, since Lysander has explained that a Patron is created by the 'microorganisms' they look down upon. They aren't as powerful or necessary as they believe they are.

I disagree with a number of things but will leave it at that.
Edit-Seems everyone overstated Creations action, he did not encase him in rock, he basically put a very thin layer of rock on him. It serves no more purpose then to annoy and is harmless. Touchy mortals ;)

My whole take is, as soon as things came into being, Creation, Death and Time followed immediately after. They do not require living things to support them. Time just is. If things exists, Creation just is. If those things have an end, Death just is. Things like hope, fear, love, wrath, etc. could not have come into existence until things were capable of those emotions, and identifying them. Suns wink into existence, decay over time, then die in a supernova without any emotion at all. This may have happened for EONS before sentient life existed anywhere...
I'm not commenting on overall power level here, just the age of the patrons.

Well, we've got my take, Kryzbyn's tkae, and we know Solivala has one, so we can all probably agree that we're thinking about it differently.
Anyway, Lyn and Dev, you've got an email that has nothing to do with plot or a character.
Er....no, I don't. I think you sent it to the comcast address. Which isn't synced with my ipad cause it's pretty much a junkmail account.

So, I'm looking into getting Avatar: The Last Airbender at the library. I should go for the TV show, right?
Definitely. The TV show is totally awesome, while the movie is full of fail. Basically take the TV show and strip it of all logic and humor...and that pretty much sums up the movie. :/

I'd also the concept of light and darkness are also "elder" concepts darkness being around before there was anything :)
I would argue against that but I wont ;)
Is anyone a expert on Monks or know a good deal about them. I would like to ask some help on the subject.

Argue away cause if you can tell me what is there before nothing I'd be glad to hear it. I'd say time and death are the only ones that could have been there at the same time. Even biblically all there was was darkness :) and then there was light.

Havoc has some point here: Darkness is merely the absence of light. So nothing would contain darkness.
Also, I'm a bit confused here. So if something like balance becomes popular, a Patron is formed. If the Patron vanishes, balance vanishes? That's what Omni says, but Lynora seems to have said about the reverse. Are they both somehow right?
It's starting to seem like I'm just 'picking on' Omni because he 'picked on' me, so I'ma bow out with that question and concurrence. :)

Who came first and how they were created is more of a philosophical question. It doesn't really have any practical bearing on the story. Basically all of the patrons are roughly equal in power, although some of them are more dependant on mortals for their power than others. Because they destroyed balance they are all responsible for trying to maintain it, but it's a constantly fluctuating dance. True balance would destroy them all since it could have done everything that each of them did rendering them all redundant. And to be honest it would have been a pretty boring universe then too.
The conflict between the patrons is a constant jockeying for power and position usually carried out by means of the Champions. They can't actually destroy each other without risking destroying the whole universe. Even Madness has his place. They just want to rein him in before he does destroy everything. But they do love to taunt each other. And the powers based on emotion (Fear, Love, Wrath, Courage) tend to take the brunt of that taunting because of their dependance on mortal creatures to maintain their power.Since Truth is most likely curled up in a corner weeping somewhere we'll likely never know for sure which of them is older or younger. :)

I have another question. Is it alright at the end of a story arc to have treasure? Yes I know normally you would but here since it school and stuff thought I would ask first.
We don't normally do treasure. Then again, this isn't really like a standard adventure much at all. Why do you ask?

Solivala |

My guys tend to be naked magic gear wise. Also having a guy who can truely craft anything is just asking for trouble. Unless I suddenly find one or more of my guys suffering a major weakness or redundent problem I tend to stay away from magic gear for them. I may have stolen an adamantium golem but I dont use him, unless I need to tear down a castle but really how often does that need to be done.
Truth be told some of my guys dont even have all their feats. I rely more on their spells or abilities. Or maybe I am just lazy. ;)
P.S. Anyone willing to help on my little monk questions please give me your email.

Was gonna have Krays go talk to Death, but I dunno how productive taht would actually be...did Ephebe pull off the time shift so krays can change back?
Up to you if you want him to have the conversation or not...or just say he went to have the conversation and have it happen off screen. And yes, Ephebe just handed him a vial of distilled time that will give him the extra hours he needs to get to where he can transform again. Without all of them having to wait around any more. :)

lynora |

Well, you run Death, so...
Krays would just ask about the Chronos deal, and see if he had any insight that's all, we dont have to RP it out...
Basically Death will admit to having worked with Kronos on this like so many other things, that it wasn't exactly their proudest moment, and so on.

It's weird that the only patron I can imagine Umbral working with is aa small little mouse. As people are afraid of the dark and thus fear and darkness work together slightly.
Of course I'm open to other alliances as well. I just see darkness as slightly neutral in the power struggles.
