The Avalon Chronicles

Game Master lynora

This is a high level rules light game set in a school for magical kids, kinda a mash-up of Soul Eater, Harry Potter, and X-Men. :)

Until I decided to look for fanart, I never made the connection that Chiwu(the guy in robes) looked just like how I imagined Vis looking. It's amazing, and Chiwu is one of my favorites to borrow when I'm trying to take down swarms of monsters. He's just great.

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

what inspired me to make Vis what Vis is.

Female Kobold with a mushroom hat |Dragonrider 3// undecided

Technically, it doesn't just remove pain.

Retrograde replaces all damage with healing, and vice-versa...

Witch might actually be worse, considring chara's condition.

Not that she knows that. Heh.

Male Firebird

On an unrelated note, where are grim and chara, anyway?

male human monk 16

they are outside in the garden near a big weeping willow tree, where Lang and Sun are as well and now apparently Ephebe and Professor Reading are there also.

I think Ignace and her new friend are also there but not sure on that.

Male Human-Reaper/obitu Death Mage 11/oracle 1/grim reaper 10

How would that be worse?

I think we're on our way to lunch but I'm not actually sure
Edit: or what Lang said

If i remember correctly, magical healing does horrible things to chara.

Might be wrong.

Considring having Vis show up, but I'm not sure if that's disruptive.

Just figure Vis could stand to try being social for once.

how old is Vis? we are a younger sort.

but go for it, Lang tries to be friends with almost everyone.

Female awww, but that would be telling unknown

I thought you guys were in the hall on the way to the cafeteria. As far as I was aware that's where you ran into Ignace and Phaedra, who are present in that scene, yes. You were all on your way to dinner before playtime.

Female awww, but that would be telling unknown

Vis is younger than Lang is.

Uh, no, I don't think so. It's just that Fire is more effective. Unless I've forgotten my own character's history....which does occasionally happen I'm afraid....

I think things got a little skewed with Grim at the cafeteria, I probably moved us out side after getting our meal to go eat.

I got a little lost myself actually so I went with ephebe's post but I think I mistook outside for actually being outside..

I think I am getting to the point I need one of those Dr. Who memory implant things so all these things can be downloaded directly to my brain so I will never forget.

Thought there was something to do with a desease she has causing immense amounts of pain when it was attempted to be cured?

I've got an awful memory, though, that inserts things when it feels like it.

There's a reason I put "might be wrong" on a lot of things.

3 people marked this as a favorite.

Yaaaay everything in moved into the new plaaaace.

Shadow Lodge

Woohoo! In related news, my friends that I live with have decided to sell their house and move too! It's in the same city, sure, but still nice. :)

I'm a little bummed as I made plans for Saturday (can't cancel them either), then found out that Comic-con is this weekend in Philadelphia (like 30 min from my house)

Saturday guests include:
Chris Hemsworth: Thor
Chris Evans: Captain America
Tom Hiddleston: Loki
Hayley Atwell: Agent Carter
Michael J. Fox: Back to the Future
Christopher Lloyd: Back to the Future
John Cena®: WWE (don't know why?)

@Edward

When do you feel you will update your SIM Mel scene?

Tryko'Sam's got nothing more to contribute at this point -- after my brief aside for character reveals.

So if you're waiting on me, be advised, I'm waiting on you. :)

Female [Classified] Bard 16 / [classified] 16

hopefully today.

i may be waiting on Arthur, will have to check

What's Ephebe doing right now?

Talking to Lang.

That's right. Saving this idea for later then.

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

That all the takers?

Shadow Lodge

Male. Vaguely humanoid Ninja 3/Bard 1/Ranger 2/Scholar 1

Were it not for time constraints I would have grabbed one

Shadow Lodge

Hey, Ice, can the Stone do partial transformations? And only chromatics?

I guess you never realize how much crap you have until you carry it all down the street. Hah.

Anyway, move went well. Cats are slowly being introduced to a new cat, so that's fun.

Expect posts from me this weekend!

Female awww, but that would be telling unknown

This about sums it up.

After a back injury earlier in the week, today I not only aggravated my back, but also seriously injured both ankles and have bruises all across my stomach from karate class. So fracking over this jujitsu crap. I did not sign up for this. It's supposed to be a tae kwan do school. I do not have a high enough con score to be doing all this wrestling nonsense. >.<

Hope you are all having a much better start to your weekend than I am! :)

FCD, that is exactly why I go on a throwing things away binge if anyone so much as mentions the possibility of moving. Yet there's still always so much stuff... I think it breeds in the closets when I'm not looking. ;P
Glad to hear that the move went well. :)

Dragonborn3 wrote:

The stone lets a charecte customize dragon shaman, prevents draconic features from being magically hidden and gives the dragon type- nothing more.

The extent of the transformation depends on the levels taken, and how the class is modified- it can be accelerated at the cost of effective levels in other class features, or lowered to benift other class features.

Any type of dragon- it's just that the majority of the band is Chomatic- but there's also two primals, two mattalics, and a drake.

Shadow Lodge

Considering a heretic/dammned idea and wanted to make sure the option was possible. Probably not going to do it in any case.

Alright? Not quite sure what you mean.

Shadow Lodge

Religions have heretics that twist things in terrible ways. Since the Dragonstone is a religion, it makes sense someone might pervert the meaning of things.

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

Ah.

That's what you mean.

That's very easy to do- given the drake, the guy with a draconic soul but no pysical changes, and Serra.

Of course, thing is, Havel has kept his religion really, really vauge, in order to allow these alternate interpretations- he wants people to get what they want out of the religion.

Female Timelady Nerd 3/Geek 2/Whovian 13/Writer 2

Sorry guys, I think I'm going to have to bow out. The pace alternates between blisteringly fast and ploddingly slow, there are so many characters and plotlines, both grand and small, to keep up with, the game shifts all over the place tonally so I can never tell if I should be funny or serious, and I'm planning on joining a few more campaigns online and offline, so I can't really keep up. Keep on having fun!

Female awww, but that would be telling unknown

Sorry to see you go, Doomkitten. :(
Wishing you good gaming, and you are welcome back at any time.

Female awww, but that would be telling unknown

Sorry for my continued silence. It's really hard to focus right now. And still no word from the doctor about my X-rays, so it's probably just a bad sprain and not a broken ankle. But it hurt bad enough from all the prodding and such that I couldn't really sleep last night. >.<

Shadow Lodge

Male. Vaguely humanoid Ninja 3/Bard 1/Ranger 2/Scholar 1

I am surprised that someone with such a low con would take improved unarmed strike, but I'm glad you didn't break anything
Also yes dalesman, have fun gaming elsewhere

Male Weremonkey Rogue/Ranger/Trickster

Doomkitten is the one who is leaving, not Dalesman.

I'm not sure it's possible for The Dalesman to ever just up and quit this game.

Derp,
Sorry I typed that while half asleep and late for work.

ADDENDUM: I may come back after the reboot, since at that point I'll actually be there when the half-decade-long plotlines start.

Male Tauric Halfling/Sword Spider

What do you guys think of a element bender level of control over something like electricity rather than the customary elements?

Shadow Lodge

Male. Vaguely humanoid Ninja 3/Bard 1/Ranger 2/Scholar 1

Like a kinetist?

Male Tauric Halfling/Sword Spider

I haven't looked at them, but maybe...

Shadow Lodge

Well Firebenders could already throw lightning, so further development of the talent isn't implausible.

Shadow Lodge

Male. Vaguely humanoid Ninja 3/Bard 1/Ranger 2/Scholar 1

Given that we're gestalt you could do both ideas
Take firebender on one side with kinetist on the other
Take the waterbender training feat that lets you redirect lightning
Take the conductive spell touched feat
Take all lightning options you want with kinetist
I think lightning is an element for them, I'll have to check
Edit: yes, it's under air, it also includes things like magnetism and the wlectricity in your nerves

Shadow Lodge

Kineticist has only been allowed once so far though because we have benders already.

Male Firebird

You don't really even need to be a blender. Heheh.

Male Change-Djinn Wishcraft Sorcerer/ Aerokineticist

Kineticist was allowed for Jasper because he's a djinn (mostly) and his wind control is natural as opposed to learned, so it works differently.
