PBP Details:

I will post on a daily basis, and check the thread far more than that. I hope that players can post at least once a day. If this is a problem, let me know. I don’t want to tie up your characters forever, so I like to keep the story moving.

If you are new to PBP, I have found this thread to be helpful.

Combat Details:

In the interest of time, when combat commences I will roll Initiative for everyone. This will help us all jump into the action a little quicker. You also don’t need to post you actions in initiative order. I will resolve them in that order, but you can post before your ‘turn’. This will help to speed things up. You can also post multiple action options if what action you take depends on someone else’s. That may sound confusing, but I think it will be clear once we get into it.

Map combat is a little difficult in a PBP. I currently don’t have an easy to use map tool for online gaming. My plan is to attempt to avoid using maps altogether, but if they become necessary then I will find a tool to use.

PFS Details:

I will need a copy of your most recent Chronicle Sheet so I can correctly give you credit for this scenario. If you have a scanner, feel free to send me a digital copy. If you don’t, let me know and I will give you my snail mail address. I may request other sheets if there is a particular boon I’m not familiar with, or item I want to verify.

I also do not have a scanner. I will attempt to find one to use for the chronicle sheets, but if that does not work I may have to mail them out.

Would you prefer I roll initiative for Freya separately, or have her act on your initiative? The RAW do not specify which is correct. It may be easier for posting if she just acts with you.

Whatever the GM wants is how I handle her initiative. Her going on my INIT is fine.

There will be times however when our INIT will split like if I delay my action. If that is OK with you.

Tanrov, I will assume your horse acts on your initiative unless there is a specific reason that he doesn’t, like you delay or something.

That's fine by me.

I don't like doing the battle-horse thing so if I dismount in combat for whatever reason, I'll likely have him move out of combat.

Checking in as well. This will be my first PBP, but I am very familiar with society. I have quite a few characters and have GMed a group from 1st level through Eyes of the Ten in my local area. I should be able to access a scanner on Sunday to get you my most recent chronicle. Thanks for allowing me to join up.

Having GM'd that much you of course know you can put a higher level chronicle down to a lower level one correct? You just have to adjust the amount of gold you receive.

Yea, the rule he is citing only applies to fresh first level characters. So you can't use them to level your rogue for instance. It's for people who have no characters in that tier.

But... there are guidelines for putting GM chronicles onto lower level characters. I've applied Tier 4-5 Chronicle sheets to characters to bump them from level 1 to 2. You get full XP and PP you just have to adjust the gold.

If you check under your message board settings there should be an option to receive or not receive PMs from board members. Default should be "ON".

Arkwright, It looks like "Arkwright Starborn" is your registered PFS character Alias. I would prefer if you used that one in the gameplay thread instead of your main Alias. Also, please update your character sheet under that alias. I need to see your character sheet completed before we start.

Sveden, as soon as you post as Petr, he will show up under players/characters. It’s nothing to worry about. Also, you can change your Alias name before you post 10 times with it, so you will want to do that for Petr now.

I will take a look into it and see if it works like the way you mention. As far as I know though you can only do that with modules that cover all tiers (For example "The Harrowing"). OR between "sub-tiers" (IF you DM tier 1-7 scenario you can apply as 1-2, 3-4, or 6-7, but if you DM 5-9, you can only apply as 5-6 or 8-9.) I will double check on that, but to restate what I am mentioned before, I am pretty sure that is still the way it works.

Here we go, from the society guidelines.

"If the GM with a low-level character runs any higher tier scenarios that don't include a subtier for her 1st level rogue, she takes the lowest subtier Chronicle sheet from that scenario and holds it for her PC. Then, once her PC achieves the appropriate level for that Chronicle sheet, it is immediately applied."

So, while I can hold those for my rogue, it will not matter until she hits 5th or 7th anyways. I appreciate the effort to help me get her leveled though.

We are off to a great start! I hate to say this, but I'm about to slow this scenario down. I'm leaving to GM right now as well as playing Dungeon Crawl Classics later in the day. It might not be until later today before I check back in.

No problems, don't feel rushed. I am more than happy to just RP through slow points. Also, my schedule sometimes gets hectic during the week so I may cause some slow points as well, but will make certain I at least get a post or two in a day. Enjoy your game day.

Oh quick note, would you count this building as Urban for purposes of my favored terrain? This matters since you are rolling initiative for everyone. Ranger Favored Terrain. If it does I get another +3 to init thanks to my trait.
