Ffortissimo stirs from his possessed state, his ape-like features fading to reveal the bard's natural form. He opens his eyes, only to find himself staring at Anima and a pair of animals fighting off some undead. An arrow whizzes above his prone form. "What in the Nine Hells is going on here?" He is about to get up and get fighting, but realizes that his skull is still ringing from the echo of a fierce blow. Any exertion would probably knock him unconscious again, so for now, he waits.
By the way, I totally did not give proper credit to the Dead Guys Bad joke!

Is Ffortissimo still monkeyed up?
Milarandei can hit ten on Knowledge (History) taking 10, but that's all you get untrained.
"I don't think any among us know our history but Ffortissimo," says Milarandei, "but Fur-tissimo might not."
"I can't identify the significance of this weapon, but I can offer a little guidance," she continues.
Ffortissimo's got a +1 competence bonus to his skill check if he takes it.
"And I guess I can still try something before Ack shows me up."
Milarandei casts guidance on herself, casts detect magic towards the kukri, and, if it is magic, tries to identify, taking ten on the Spellcraft Check for 17. If it is magic, and she fails to identify, she casts Guidance on Akhenethys.
Regardless of whether she detects anything, she burns her prepared Protection from Evil to cast Cure Light Wounds on Ffortissimo. "Maybe the third time will be the charm," she hopes aloud.
Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Desna's a jerk. I've rolled 6 on healing versus an average of 12.5. Quick back-of-the envelop shows that as about 4th percentile for the series.

The singer finally gets himself off from the floor and retrieves his longspear. He looks askance at the cleric healing him. "Fur-tissimo? I assure you, my thick locks of hair are all natural." He brushes his hair back with his hand to emphasize the point. Then he sees the ranger - or rather the beast bearing some resemblance. "Wait -- what? Did that happen to me too?" He shakes his head, trying to remember what just happened. "Eh, we'd better track down the source of this magic. Don't worry about me, I can still fight from the back!"
Ffortissimo takes the offered stone from Milarandei. "What exactly does this stone do again?"

The door to the chamber was once a pane of expensive frosted glass, which now lies in broken shards on the floor within.
Several desks lie overturned, papers in disarray, and chairs smashed to kindling. A sturdy steel cabinet sits against the back wall, its doors much battered and dented.
The mist in the room rolls near the floor and ceiling, creating a strange patch of visibility stretching from knee-height to a few feet overhead.
The smoky tendrils flow up and down the walls unnaturally and savage visages swirl to life, fanged mouths agape, before dissolving into mist once more.
