Bloodless |
Odd, last post apparently didn't...!
"No fierce Krona. I would have held back for fear of marring your flesh. Never before has a woman caused such desire in me. If you would have me Krona I would be yours." proclaims a breatless Bloodless...
"urgh..."
Bejis Krupt |
Krona's eyes hold their anger for a moment longer, then Krona leaps up in front of Drovalid.
The things we do for the success...
Krona leans in for the dramatic kiss, concentrating hard on putting on a show and not thinking about the reality.
Holding Drovalid close, Krona proclaims to the council, "Then let this final trial shake the foundations of the world! And let our love making shatter the ceilings of hell!"
And now for the "easy" part (in comparison).
Asmodia Crispin |
Knowing Asmodia's luck, we're about to be surrounded by orphans in demon costumes...
Tybain has been comically detached at all but the last moment when Krona and Drovalid kiss, and at that moment, the actress and her character meet and do a full body cringe. She has avoided Bloodless's apartment and his company since she went to Thesing's bed, but it still rankled her that his lips had polluted her darling Bejis's before her own. Or not, she thought and smothered a faint smirk. Bejis played far too tight to his chest in Asmodia's estimation. And while she was not looking forward to meeting Bloodless on the field with anything other than her full spell allotment, she had to admire his passion.
TarkXT |
As the final lines are said the audience shares a full body cringe with Tybain as the two lovers finally part.
You each turn towards the back of the stage where you clearly heard the movement of something large being guided by many small things. As a second curtain rises you see a dire and terrible swamp revealed a terrible land inhospitable to any kind of civilized life and bound to carry innumerable terrors for Larazod and his ilk. As you gird yourselves for battle two enormous skeletons baring wicked claws and terrible dagger like teeth clatter towards you from the swamp with murder and mayhem clearly on the agenda.
Bad Guys:
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
Average: 26:5
Goodguys:
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 Levash
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16 Aerieth
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17 Bloodless
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 Bejis
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9 Asmodia
BADGUYS GO BY A WIDE MARGIN!
Driven by infernal command the skeletons move with uncanny speed for their size and make a beeline straight for the tiefling truth sayer.
Oh you lucky sob. Blew the good rolls going first.
They miss as the druid's thick hide armor barely spares him from the full brunt as one has difficulty getting its fangs to purchase. The other has much better luck and scores a terrible wound on him.10 damage. Thesing laughs maniacally from the side of the stage while the bearded devil looks nonchalant and seems to be rolling a cigarette in his left claw.
Calseinica's already fair skin goes ghostly white as all the blood runs from it at the sheer shock of the monstrosities bearing down on you.
VICTI-I MEAN GOOD GUYS ARE UP!
Aerieth Deventis |
Round 1
Unsure of the reach of the skeletons, Aerieth 5-foot steps to B/-18.
She then draws another small roll of parchment from her pouch and reads the scroll.
Cast Enlarge Person on Begis - will take effect next round.
Asmodia Crispin |
of course it would have to be skeletons when I CANNOT CHANNEL!!
Asmodia casts Bless, bestowing upon her allies the bubbly feeling of effervescent ale tickling their noses as their attacks are strengthened.
"Missed your afternoon tea, Princess?" she says as an aside to Calseinica pale form. "Move you turbid cow!"
Oh crap, stupid cleric!
Monster Lore Kn. Religion 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8 *HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! Oh... what is this symbol? Is that puppy dog my god? Durp!
Bloodless |
R1
Equally testing, Bloodless steps in and tries to get the measure of the creatures with his length of Cold Iron...
Move to E-19.
Attack 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 6 + 1 = 15
Damage2d6 + 4 ⇒ (5, 6) + 4 = 15
Bejis Krupt |
Round 1
Bejis steps between his skeleton and the group D-16.
Bejis eyes focus, becoming deceptively calm, as he settles in to the familiar routine of battle. Start raging. 5 rounds left, plus 1 from the chew.
Silently, he thinks to himself, "Gorum, guide my hands," as he starts his opening swing.
Greatsword PA: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 8 + 1 = 12 (+1 Bless) for 2d6 + 10 ⇒ (1, 3) + 10 = 14
LeVash |
Grunting in pain, LeVash steps back (to B,-19). As his cloak swirls he snaps his left arm to trigger the complicated set of straps underneath, bringing his shield to bear (Ready Quickdraw Shield - free action) and drawing and throwing a flask of Alchemist's fire at the skeleton to his right (E/F,-21/-20).
Alchemist's Fire: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 3 + 1 = 20 vs Touch AC. Dmg: 1d6 ⇒ 5 - with an additional 1d6 ⇒ 5 next round.
TarkXT |
The first skeleton rumbles forward intent on making Larazod its the crowd gasps at the horror of the fiery skeleton ripping flesh and casting the hero of the play to the ground bleeding out his life!
Skeleton full attacks puts 15 on LeVash which should drop him to negatves and puts the last attack on Bloodless who takes 10
With the hero fallen the skeletons turn their baleful attention upon Larazods companions! As Drovalids costume is shredded instantly under a terrible claw Krona finds herself the victim of the other skeletons wrather as it rips away her breasts! (while revealing another breastplate and a lot of blood underneath). Bejis takes 22 damage
Haanderthesing cackles maniacally as the heroes fall clearly feeling his victory is at hand! For without the pompous tiefling how could his companions survive?!?!?!?!
Ilsandra cries out in terror as she sees her beloved fall. Rushing over to him she crams something in his mout that she has been holding the entire time.
Larazod now chokes on a goodberry. Heal 1. Stabilize roll for asphyxiation damage. I kid. I kid. Moved asmodia back a square as her original position meant eating an AoO and I assumed that's not what you want to do.
GOOD GUYS ARE UP!
Bejis Krupt |
Bejis wanted to occupy C/D,-17/-16. He should have stepped to D/-16 last round already.
Bejis grunts under the blows, and takes a retaliatory strike of his own.

Bloodless |
HP 19/29
AC 20
Bloodless takes a defensive stance now that he has been hit so heavily and apparently did nothing to it last round in reply...!
Defensive as a full round action, trying to hold this one until Bejis can get here.
Aerieth Deventis |
Aerieth completes reading her scroll with a flourish and a series of sparkles appears around Bejis, a moment later the monstrous ogress once again appears.
I then draw another Enlarge Person scroll and begin to read this as well.
Not sure about the mechanics of this. Casting Enlarge Person is a 1 round casting time. Can I start this and then move into a flanking postion D/-22 for Bloodless? I know I will need an acrobatics roll, just not sure about full round casting time versus standard/move actions.
Acrobatics(avoid AoO): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26 <-- for this round or next, whenever I can move.
Bejis Krupt |
Full round actions says no. In normal rules, you could take a move action, then a standard action to do half of the full round action, followed by another standard action next round to complete it. However, as Tark is using a simplified initiative setup which has variable order, he would have to figure out how that would be implemented.
Bejis Krupt |
Most spells have a casting time of 1 standard action. Others take 1 round or more, while a few require only a swift action.
A spell that takes 1 round to cast is a full-round action. It comes into effect just before the beginning of your turn in the round after you began casting the spell. You then act normally after the spell is completed.

AC 20Bloodless takes a defensive stance now that he has been hit so heavily and apparently did nothing to it last round in reply...!
Defensive as a full round action, trying to hold this one until Bejis can get here.
Sorry you both hit and did significant if reduced damage to the skeletons. They just ignored you seeing as they are engines of malice and destruction directed at LeVash. And now you.
Bloodless |
Seeing that things are a bit desperate, Bloodless launches his assault instead.
Attack 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 6 + 1 = 17
Damage 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (5, 6) + 4 = 15
What I'd give for a Native Outsider...:(
Aerieth Deventis |
Whisper: LeVash, until you are strong enough to take another beating, stay on the ground. They are clearly programmed to go after you, if you are just able to stand, there is a good chance their next hit will make it so you can never stand again.
TarkXT |
Bejis is correct it's still a full round action that ends at the start of your turn.
Bloodless manages to rip apart his foe as the things structure weakens and turns to ash under Larazod's legacy of fire. Bejis swings in and takes a large chunk of ribbing off of the troll as it bears down on him and lands a flaying claw on his throat causing him to gag and sputter blood 13 damage
Calseinica fusses over LeVash with genuine concern as Aerieth prepares to further stack the odds in the party's favor. The crowd vibrates with titillating excitement as the battle rages between orcess and legions of demons.
Good guys up!
Aerieth Deventis |
Did LeVash disappear? I don't see him unless he is hiding under the troll skeleton.
I finish my scroll causing Bloodless to also grow rather large.
Move: Move to D/-14 to provide flanking. --> Acrobatics rolled last round - 26.
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
With style and flair, Dentris dances around the flailing skeleton and then manages to make exactly the type of attack the audience expects from an old man - a completely useless one.
Asmodia Crispin |
At the risk of appearing crass - wait, who the heck do I think I'm playing here? - all men disappear when Asmodia stands over them. ZING!!
Triage Asmodia muses as she surveyed the scene. The Shade betwixt her thighs is in his sweet dreamland while her darling Bejis and Bloodless are attacking their foes. Discerning Bejis is at the clearest disadvantage at this moment, she steps forward to D-19 and casts Shield of Faith granting him a +2 deflection bonus to his AC.
Bejis Krupt |
Greatsword PA 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23 for 3d6 + 12 ⇒ (5, 3, 5) + 12 = 25
Bejis spits out a mouthfull of blood to take a deep breath. With a deep inner fury guiding him, Bejis slashes across the skeleton.
Does that end the combat?

With a shattering of bone the massive Bejis casts down his foe. As the curtain closes once more the fat lady goes out to sing once again with a troubled look on her face. Thesing himself seems despondent and LeVash seems to have seen much better days.
"Is he dead?" Millech calls from the rafters up top.
Aerieth Deventis |
Aerieth lets out a sigh seeing the last skeleton fall to the ground.
Whisper - Well, I am out of spells to make you all bigger. I hope we do not need any more. The last scene has no lines, but who knows what will happen - I am hoping that Thesing has a good time though.
I think it is time for the wand of CLW. Make how ever many rolls you need to get to full health all.
Asmodia Crispin |
"Mostly dead," Asmodia does not even bother to really check. As long as Shade is breathing she supposes he has survived. Ah, what a compassionate priestess she makes.
Asmodia makes liberal use of the wand when the curtain comes down to restore her companions.
I'll let ya'll roll what you need from the wand, because if I did we'd be here all day with the ones and other b*%**#$# the dice roller would give me
LeVash |
CLW Wand: [ooc]1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
CLW Wand: [ooc]1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
CLW Wand: [ooc]1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
CLW Wand: [ooc]1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
After the fourth use of the wand, LeVash/Lazarod holds up up his hand, "Enough. I'll be OK for now."
He'll then lean against a pillar, lost in thought...
