Shalluk
Shalluk paused, looking around. People were still screaming and panicking but that wasn't exactly surprising. Did that mean all the goblins were gone and people hadn't realized yet, or did it mean there were more of the creatures that Shalluk couldn't see? Best not to let his guard down yet. He shifted the grip on his over-sized sword. He was still slightly in awe as to what he'd done to the Goblin he'd actually hit, although his Curses seemed to be ineffective so far.
"I am unhurt," he replied. "Can anyone see any more of the creatures?"
GM Tierce
Just as things start to quieten down again, the cart full of fuel for the evening's bonfire suddenly goes up in flames. Four more vile goblins come racing around the cart. A fifth and slightly larger goblin comes barreling after them. The fifth goblin raises his voice in a shrill song, the one you had heard earlier. The song appears to have a direct affect on the others at it whips them into a frenzy as they run about, attacking townsfolk.
An arrow pierces one of the first four goblins through the next, and you notice Tierce standing atop a table with his bow out.
Player Turn, Round 1, Go
Noro_Kas
Noro looks up as the goblins appear, Why today Noro is definately winded from earlier but functional. Noro grabs a mug off a nearby table and chugs the last bit of mead left behind and she tosses the mug aside.
Gilly if you have a way to give me a second wind, now would be a good time.
does Gilly have a way to remove fatigue?
Noro spends the round staying near Gilly. she yells out to thse defending the town get the bigger one he might be a leader!
fatigued round 2/4
Zoruk Magnu
In a flash Zoruk has sent his own bolt at the bigger goblin.
Light Crossbow vs Bigger Goblin: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 191d8 ⇒ 7
Reloading he sends another bolt at a different goblin near him.
Light Crossbow vs Goblin: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 171d8 ⇒ 6
"The one day I choose to have a little fun over work and this happens."
He says to no one in particular.
That's what you get for popping up with in range of an attack paranoid mage. Well I guess the dice roller is a little nicer today, expected to miss at least one.
Darius Valinargus
Darius seeing four more little beasts running, went for one of the smaller ones. Got to keep them corraled."
Moving up next to the closest one, the Half-Elf took a swing.
Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Shalluk
Sighing, Shalluk readied his sword once more. Of course there are more Goblins. It was hardly a shocking revelation, really. Still, it might have been nice to only have a handful to deal with. But things weren't easy just because you wanted them to be - that Shalluk knew, intended to change.
Several of the others were focusing on the big goblin - the leader, most likely - and Shalluk couldn't see much point in moving to support them. There were four other Goblins, after all. With most of the focus on the larger one they could rampage unchecked. Shalluk decided he wouldn't let that happen.
Moving to attack the nearest of the small Goblins, Shalluk bunched his muscles and swung in a savage arc with a grunt of effort, sending the slap of steel to try and cut it's crude head from it's body.
To hit 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Damage 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (4, 6) + 7 = 17
Gilly
Of course as soon as Noro asks her questions, Gilly's ability to speak to her (or understand her) goes out the window again.
The confused Halfling just stares at Noro for a moment, then shakes her head, shrugging slightly, and casting again now that she's in range of everyone.
[ooc[Casting Bless on everyone[/ooc]
Her casting is in Celestial, and she waves her arms around.

Goblin Turn, Round 1
Noro, I will make sure to put some Potions of Lesser Restoration in the loot tables, that will get rid of your fatigue
One of the rampaging goblins is cut in half by Shalluk, and a second falls over, still breathing from a crossbow bolt to the chest. The larger goblin grunts as he is also hit with a crossbow bolt, seems to stagger a bit, but maintains his balance. He continues his song before trying to swipe at Zelladania with his dogslicer.
Attack on Zelladania 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
The attack goes wide, cursing, the goblin then realizes the crossbow bolt is just a bit too deep and falls over unconscious
The last goblin looks around, realizes that he is all alone, shrieks and runs away to the north.
Darius can make an AoO as the goblin was beside you
End of wave 2, you may coup de grace the ones still alive but unconscious.
Take a few rounds of a breather until I start the next event
Shalluk
Shalluk's heart jumped as h was splattered in Goblin blood. Horror? Revulsion? Joy? Delight? What was it that made his heart skip a beat for a moment? He didn't truly have time to work it out.
Still, he felt the strange magic settle on him from...somewhere. Gilly did keep talking in a strange tongue. An arcane spell casting language maybe? Whatever it was, he felt it add speed to his bunched muscles, already rippling beneath his bright red skin - he would strike faster, if not harder. The idea bolstered him, and gave him heart.
If the Goblin came back, or came back with reinforcements, it would not do to have there wounded allies lying around to help them. But Shalluk was unsure if that was the right thing. The easiest, certainly. The safest most likely, too. But killing the wounded, even Goblins, didn't sit entirely well. He decided to hold back and see what the others did, instead checking to see if there were any signs of yet more goblins.
Perception Check 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Zoruk Magnu
Zoruk reloaded and kept on alert yet again in case another batch of goblins popped up. He was really starting to miss the minor vermin from old ruins he normally dealt with, and with far less numbers then a mini goblin horde.
"Tie one up and keep it from dying. We will need information, I for one want to know how they got inside Sandpoint undetected. Even during a festival that seems very odd to me."
Readied action for goblins yet again. ;)
Noro_Kas
Noro just cocks an eyebrow at Gily as she babbles I take that ash a no
before Noro can react it would seem that the goblins have been delt with. good thing too since Noro doesn't want to take all the credit.
Noro takes a seat to finish catching her breath
fitgued for 1 more round.
Gilly
Done yelling in Celestial now, Gilly wraps both of her small hands around her quarterstaff. She doesn't look very threatening, as compared to Shalluk and Noro she really just looks like a child with a toothpick.
Still, she stays near Noro, looking at her breathing hard with some concern. She asks Noro something in Celestial, the questioning tone obvious, and her expression puzzled that she can't seem to understand anyone.
Noro_Kas
Noro looks to Gilly
bunga bunga bunga boomba she says to her. pointing toward the sound. figures since Gilly went all illiterate and all, maybe she can understand barabarian gibberish.
and the Noro heads off in that direction (delaying long enough to end her fatigued condition.)
Shalluk
"And explosion", Shalluk cried out in alarm, "Goblins have explosives now? Who thought that was a wise plan!?" But of course the answer was obvious - the Goblins did. Unfortunately, his new allies had all bolted straight for the gate. And no one had finished off the Goblin wounded here...could any of them get up and cause mischief again? Of course, dealing with them would be one excuse for staying here...and away from the explosives.
Shaking his head, Shalluk shouldered his sword and ran after the others. He was trying to make a difference with things now - killing wounded Goblins wasn't going to. Stopping whatever had blown up the gate. From what he had seen of Sandpoint the inly building big enough to hold most of the population would be the new cathedral, and he had no idea if that would work as a fall back location.
GM Tierce
As you get to the north gate, you realise the sound was a result of the wooden gate falling with a clatter to the groun. The sides are still burning, an obvious result of the goblins as you see three of them carrying torches.
However the most concerning thing you see is a larger goblin astride what appears to be a dog, only with little hair and a nasty look. The mounted goblin appears to be trying to run down a man in noble clothing and his dog. The nobleman is screaming for help.
Noro and Zoruk recognize the noble as Aldern Foxglove
Player Turn 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Goblin Turn 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
The mounted goblin takes a swipe at the nobleman's dog with his large horsechopper. The horsechopper hits and the dogs lets out a loud yelp before hitting the ground. The large goblin looks at the nobleman with murderous intent.
The other three goblins are still distracted by the burning of the gate, as they dance around the inferno in glee

extra damage if flanking 1d6 ⇒ 1
If possible, Zella waits until someone else moves up to attack the large goblin first and then tries to move into a flanking position and launches her own attack. If not, she will attack him on her own.
Darius Valinargus
Darius saw the dog the larger goblin is astride, his mind suddenly flashed back to the terrible night his mother was killed. In a fit of rage, the Half-Elf rushed forward and lashed out at the animal.
Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
I hate it when mechanics fall short of build-up.

I know what you mean Noro sees the grsly scene Hey! I liked that dog!
Noro charges and with a flying leap to grapple the larger goblin on the dog (possibly attempting to use her momentum to unseat him.)

Shalluk
Shalluk, lagging behind thanks to his armour, saw the others focusing on attacking a larger Goblin riding a...dog...thing? Shalluk wasn't sure what it was off the top of his head what it was, but it didn't matter much anyway. The others would have to deal with it - the three at the gate wouldn't be distracted by the pretty flames for very long.
Shalluk attacked the closest one. Hopefully he could destroy the spiteful little creature as fast as he'd finished off the some of the others, distracting the other two.
Attack roll 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Damage roll 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (5, 2) + 7 = 14

The Commando is now Shaken
Noro, your able to unseat the larger goblin. You notice he is rather banged up already for both Zelladania's attack and Zoruk's crossbow bolts. He is still thrashing against you with fervor though.
Noro, make a DC 12 Fort save
Goblin Turn, Round 2
The goblin commando, now grappled by Noro, attempts to break free of the grapple
Break Grapple Attempt 1d20 + 2 - 2 - 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 - 2 - 2 = 8
Thrashing, the goblin doesn't break free and he continues to swear in goblin at Noro.
The three goblins finally noticed that they are being attacked and begin by hurling their torches at the party.
Attack on Zoruk - flaming torch 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (20) - 1 = 19 Damage 1d4 ⇒ 1

The blow soars over the Goblins head, however, and so Shalluk decides to try again.
Attack of Opportunity 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Zelladania
Seeing little Gilly being attacked by one of the goblins, Zella will break off her attack of the large one, trusting Noro to keep a firm grip on it for a bit.
Zella will come up behind the goblin in an attempt to flank with Gilly and stab at it with her dagger.

Darius, Fort Save, DC 12
Zelladania buries her dagger into the goblin attacking Gilly and guts it quite clean. The goblin gurgles before falling down dead.
One of the goblins takes a magic missile in the chest before hearing Zoruk's words. The goblin seems to stop for a moment before screeching and running away. The last goblin seems to think the same thing before trying to flee from Shalluk.

Noro now winded again but ahe tries to maintain composure considering the mess she is in. Drink? Hell Yesh, How about now
Noro wipes her hands on her pants then grabs a piece of goblin brain (obviously not very big)off her shoulder and flings it.

Fortitude: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Darius raised his weapon to strike the dog again, when Noro kicked its head so hard he heard the neck snap. Separating the weapon into two parts and sheathing them, the Half-Elf warrior puts pressure on his wounded leg with both hands. Hearing Gilly's offer, he raised one hand and said, "I certainly wouldn't mind just a little over here, thank you."
