A woman that Noro hasn't seen before sits down at the table opposite her. Her features are rather severe and her hair is cut short. A large two handed sword is strapped to her back.
She slams down five gold coins and holds up her arm to wrestle.
Perception Check
"Name is Mierra" Her Chelish accent is quite thick.

Gilly
Gilly grins at the tiefling, looking him over before seeming to approve. A person would be hard-pressed to be worthy of her disapproval really. "Oh, this place, its for Desna," She says proudly. "Well, it will be once they dedicate it today."
Then she pauses to scratch at her head and offers her hand to the stranger, too. Still up, but not quite so far as Sir Treetops.
"I'm Gilly! Of Gilly." This is her new way of introducing herself, apparently, "Welcome to Sandpoint!"
GM Tierce
Lucanus looks to Shalluk, having overcome the long hatred between his race and the fiendish ones many years earlier, he nodded in greeting to the man. "I am sorry friend Tiefling, but the Cathedral will be opened to the public after the lunch festivities are over. Father Zantus will not be holding a sermon until tomorrow morning, but it will certainly be open to prayers."

Shalluk
Shalluk paused, shocked for a moment. Friend Tiefling? No one had ever called him that before. Instead he turned to look at the halfling. "For Desna? My mistake." Shalluk bowed his head, glad that his red skin would not show the blush he could feel. It was a stupid mistake to make. "I am...very new to town, I am afraid, and I am finding it quite...overwhelming. My thanks, Gilly of Gilly, for the correction." It would certainly not be one Shalluk forgot for a while.
Turning to the Paladin, Shalluk nodded his thanks. "I shall be certain to attend and to give thanks when the service begins. I have many travels ahead and behind me." It was both warming and alarming that the Paladin knew what he was and accepted it. He couldn't help but wonder what the giant would think if he knew of the other part of his life, the Yla and there frustrating ways. He was half afraid that the Paladin could feel the Aura of Misfortune he gave off. "Thank you for the information."
Zelladania
"Sir Treetops? Surely that isn't your actual name?"
Zella pauses before her next comment as the Tiefling comes over to inquire about the cathedral. As Gilly introduces herself, Zella remembers that she has yet to offer her name.
"I'm sorry, I seem to have forgotten to introduce myself earlier. My name is Zelladania." After a moment of thought she adds: "Of the Long Road."
Gilly
Gilly twists up her face at Shalluk, obviously considering something. Obviously, this guy needs more Fun (captial F) in his life. Luckily, Gilly is here.
"Desna doesn't mind mistakes, s'long as you learn from them." Then the halfling leans up to get as close to Shalluk's ear as she can conceivably get. (Around his elbow, actually. Gilly finds herself face to face with elbows quite a lot.)
"I'll tell you a secret. Desna's a Goddess of travelling and luck an' the stars. She's best worshiped on the road, in the open where you can see the stars, feel the night, and dream of your destination in the morning. The temples really for us folk on the ground. I don't think she'll mind if you borrow it."
GM Tierce
Lucanus clears his throat slightly, "I am Lucanus Drek, Paladin of Iomedae. The Cathedral of Sandpoint is open to all worship of like minded individuals and is open to all faiths that keep in the light. Father Zantus is a priest of Desna, but offers blessings to those of Abadar, Sarenrae, Shelyn, Gozreh, Erastil and Iomedae."
Zelladania
"Nothing wrong with wandering about. Been doing that most of my life with my family's caravans. It's really great fun, always something new to see."
Zella will give a little curtsey of her own to Sir Lucanus. "Well, it was nice to see you again, but I should be heading over to the performance competition before it's closed. Perhaps I'll see you again during the dedication ceremony?"
"Come on Gilly, you can try your singing again once we get there."
Shalluk
"Thank you for the wisdom, Gilly of Gilly," Shalluk replied formally. Still, he was pleased to hear he hadn't been totally wrong. It certainly explained why a Paladin of Iomadae was standing guard before the temple. "I am usually on the road when I pray. It would be nice to do so in a more...formal setting."
Shalluk bowed respectfully to Zelladania. "A pleasure to meet you, Zelladania of the Lonely Road. I am Shalluk." He was curious to know what the lonely road meant, but was worried about asking. It might be common knowledge around here, and he felt out of place as it was. He felt a need to fit in as much as he could, so for once he stifled his curiosity.
He wondered if it would be appropriate to watch the pair perform at the contests? It would be intriguing, especially after the dancing last night.
Shalluk
After a moment, Shalluk did as he was bid. Why not? His Aura didn't seem to interfere in these particular contests, so he would not be of any hindrance. Maybe it would be...fun, something he didn't have nearly enough of. He smiled slightly at the thought.
Besides, he would likely need to eat again soon, and apparently Gilly would be getting the Paladin food so he would have a chance to get some for himself. And maybe he should try a game himself? His strength would suit him to arm wrestling, and he was decent at riddles...
GM Tierce
The trio turns around to find Tierce, the Pathfinder smiling at them "Good Morning!" He proclaims as he takes off his hat in a flourish of a bow. He then turns and offers Zelladania or Gilly his arm.
"Two lovely ladies like you need an escort, allow me to offer my arm to one of you and for the gentleman with you to escort the other"
Tierce winks at Zelladania
Gilly
Gilly laughs and says, "Good morning. I think Noro liked your dance." Since there was no punching, she's just assuming.
She looks up-up at Tierce too, "Alas, I'm pretty sure anyone escorting me will end up being awkward." She is cheerful about this fact, as she is cheerful about most things.
Zelladania
Shalluk, if you're reading on your phone, I think you misread Long Road as Lonely road. Easy to do with small text.
"Good morning to you Tierce. You are looking quite well this morning, glad to see there was no bruising from last night."
Zella winks back at Tierce after teasing him a bit.
As Gilly climbs up on Tierce's back for her piggy-back ride, Zella eyes Shalluk for a moment and decides against asking for a piggy-back ride of her own since she is unsure of his ability to carry her. So instead, she'll take his arm and start walking off in the direction of the performance contests.
"Of course we are going to hit some of the contests. Starting with the performance ones."
Shalluk
I did indeed misread it, although I'm using a laptop so no excuses - sometimes I just read stuff wrong, I'm afraid.
Shalluk looked vaguely astonished at the idea of someone taking his arm, but it filled him with a warm feeling of acceptance at the idea that someone would do such a thing. It was proving to be an interesting day, although the nagging voice at the back of his mind reminded him that it would not and could not last. Some people could accept Tieflings, but he'd never met anyone who could accept a Malefactor.
He would simply have to enjoy it while it lasted. [b]"It will be a pleasure to see you perform again."
Zelladania
Zella waves as Tierce leaves them. "We will catch up with you again later. It's time for me to do some more dancing."
With a smile, Zella moves over to where the contestants are lining up and waits her turn to show what she can do while showing a decent bit of skin amidst the swirls of her violet scarves.

Noro makes some quick victories with some of the locals from the docks not much challenge making 1d10 ⇒ 9 silver coins
Noro notices Tierce heading to the Horseshoe toss.
she quickly lets a nice local farm boy beat her, and she gets up, good job she says patting him on the back as she heads over to Tierce.
You know "T", I think I have a shecret admirer, he left a gift on my dooeshtep thish morning, any ideash who it might be? Caushe if you do and aren't telling me. she makes a fist and holds it to his nose.
Noro knows it was him but decides to play the game a bit longer.
Tierce intial response
anyway, have you ever heard of... The Order of the Nail? she changes the subject to something more serious.
GM Tierce
Tierce chuckles slightly, "I'm glad you like the gloves, just make sure to keep your promise and to not use them on me."
Tierce gets closer pretending to be talking intimately with Noro, "They're an order of Hellknights, stationed outside Korvosa. I was recently at their Citadel a few weeks back to rescue a Pathfinder friend. They can be very nasty, why do you ask?"
Noro_Kas
Noro plays along with the ruse (though deep down she wished it wasn't)
Just met one here today at the arm wrestling tables, I beat her but she looked tough had a rather large blade short hair, she said her name was Mierra and had a Chelish accent, mean anything?
Zoruk Magnu
Zoruk planned on taking a look around and getting a feel for the festival before going back to comb the ruins he had come from last night. As such his attire was more practical then festive. Still he saw no harm in trying his hand at a few games before the trip. He noticed the paladin and pathfinder, yet again the pathfinder was surrounded by unwanted attention. In Zoruk's eyes at least, he would try again later. Until then he would busy himself with games, if luck held a few prizes. He had some faith in his tossing and riddle solving skills, while as a sage, if a very minor one, it was a matter of professionalism and course to take the trivia contest.
Horse Shoe Tossing: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Trivia Contest: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Riddle Contest: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Surprise me with the challengers, I can name a few if you blank. ;)
Darius Valinargus
Darius browsed the booths and found a couple of shirts and another pair of breeches quite fast. He quickly went back to his room and placed them in his pack, then headed back to the festival.
While carousing the festival, he came across the Halfling from last night, stuffing a pie in her face. When the oppurtunity presented its self, the Half-Elf greeted her, "Well hello there little one, you wouldn't by chance happen to know where that lovely dancer Zelladania is, would you?"
GM Tierce
Tierce shakes his head thinking, "I don't know the name and we left the citadel on good terms, so I don't think it has anything to do with me or the Society. She may be here for another reason. We shall see if we can keep an eye on her."
Finally Tierce throws up his charming smile, "Want to go to the pie eating contest? I think I see the wee halfling trying to shove an entire pie in her mouth." Tierce offers his arm to her. "Allow me to escort you, my lady"
Zoruk
Jargie Quinn attempts to out toss you in the Horse Shoes
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
And manages to barely beat you, he tells you to come by the Hagfish for a celebratory drink later.
Aldern Foxglove hears the answer to your first trivia question and doesn't even attempt to compete, shacking your hand in victory.
And the Mayor of Sandpoint, Kendra Deverin steps up to try and beat you at the riddle contest
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
But your able to deftly fool her with a simple riddle that she slaps her head about after, to the laughter of the crowd
Zoruk Magnu
Zoruk started off with a bit of bad luck, once he won the trivia contest as suspected, and by some twist of fate bested the mayor he was in high spirits. Thinking he may just push off his exploration until tomorrow in order to fully enjoy all the festival had to offer. By mistake, or fickle fate yet again, he comes across the pathfinder with some hang on's directly before him.
Your move ;)
GM Tierce
As the day heads towards mid day, you all notice as Father Zantus and his acolytes wheel in a rather large covered wagon into the center of the town square. They lift up the top on the wagon and thousands of Swallowtail Butterflies fly into the air. Children begin chasing after them.
The release of the Swallowtails is also the signal for lunch to begin and large tables are brought out. Lunch is of course provided free from all the various inns and taverns of Sandpoint. Hagfish has of course brought amble servings of his Lobster Chowder. The White Deer Inn is featuring their peppercorn venison, but you notice a rather large line beside the Rusty Dragon table as Ameiko serves up her famous curry spice salmon and winterdrop mead. You can see that the other tavern owners are quite envious.
Gilly
Yep. There is Gilly. Stuffing her face. Its questionable whether she even knows this is a pie eating contest, or if she just likes pie, really.
Pie Eating!: 1d20 ⇒ 19
Either way, she's certainly putting it away, and making a royal mess as she does so.
When Darius approaches, she looks up at him with a bit of whipped cream on her nose and crumbs on her chin, and answers in 'face stuffed common'.
"'Ello 'm 'Iwwy. O' 'Iwwy. 'Ice oo eet oo. 'Ell 'ent oo 'an."
She waves a pie-smeared finger towards the performance competition.
Darius Valinargus
"Thank you, little one." The Half-Drow said while tipping his hat. He turned to start that direction when the butterflies were released and food started to be brought out. Guess I'd better eat first. Besides, I need to think of what to say, the young warrior thought to himself.
Noro_Kas
Tierce shakes his head thinking, "I don't know the name and we left the citadel on good terms, so I don't think it has anything to do with me or the Society. She may be here for another reason. We shall see if we can keep an eye on her."
Finally Tierce throws up his charming smile, "Want to go to the pie eating contest? I think I see the wee halfling trying to shove an entire pie in her mouth." Tierce offers his arm to her. "Allow me to escort you, my lady"
curse need to watch anime
Noro takes tirerce's arm and goes with him to watch. Noro gives intimidating glares to any that seem to be stareing at them. It has always been common knowledge that the only man Noro would ever have, had to survive three rounds in the ring first.
when they get to the pie contest Noro takes a seat to watch Gilly gobble her heart out (not literally).
Noro tries to feign disinterest.
bluff: 1d20 ⇒ 10
Gilly
Gilly finishes two whole pies! The front of her dress and armor is quite a sight, but she doesn't care. She washes off her hands and then goes to find Ameiko, dodging underfoot and under trays and boxes and whatever people are carrying as she goes.
Then she pops up mysteriously at the front of the line at Ameiko's - "I need two plates and two meads please!" She says happily. She is almost distracted by a butterfly that goes past her ear, eyes following it as if she might chase it. But she remembers her promise.
Noro_Kas
Noro looks to tierce, There ish shomething I need to do, I'll shee you around ok?
Noro gets up and heads off to see Gilly. a butterfly crosses her face. she just shoo's it away girly stuff she mutters.
Grabbing some food she tries to stop Gilly.
Gilly, Got a shec?
Shalluk
Following Zelladania proves to be an education in movement and style. Shalluk knows his own, thick boned body could never move like that. It was impressive and vaguely alluring, even to the Tiefling. Once her dance was complete he nodded to her. "I am afraid my stomach demands my attention. Would you care to come with me to find food?"
Smiling slightly, he nodded at Gilly glimpsed as she headed by. "Although it appears food has already found your Halfling friend..." By the state of her dress, maybe she should have the title Hungerssed rather than he. A gurgle in his guts reminded him, however, that he had not eaten much breakfast. "Excuse me," he murmured, "My stomach is not subtle."
Noro_Kas
Gilly nods a bit, "Sure! I'm going to bring this to Sir Treetops, you can come." She says, juggling her plates of food and jugs of mead.
Noro follows along catching a mug of mead just before it falls as Gilly and her walk.
I jusht wanted to shay...ahh..Thanksh, for helping me lasht night.
Noro pauses a moment, Who ish Mr. treetopsh?
Zoruk Magnu
He studies the pathfinder (Never got his name if I recall correctly) for a moment before responding.
"Oh I am well aware of it. That was not the reason I asked you if you knew of it. I take it your enjoying yourself?"
He glances for a moment at those with him. Not taking much of an interest.
Darius Valinargus
As Darius samples some of the local cuisine, he can't help but think to himself, I wonder how she did at the contest? Hope she didn't lose cause of last night, I'd feel terrible to dash the dreams of such a beautiful woman. Well, when I'm done here I'll go see her. He takes a swig of Winterdrop mead to help wash down some chicken.
