Troxell Lanathar |

Assuming Myhm kills the last spider...
Troxell's remaining eagle flies after the spider-man aberration thing and attacks!
This probably provokes AoO
Talon: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
As for Troxell himself, he moves to stay at least 5 ft away from the humanoid and pulls his Pearl of Power of out his haversack. He then uses the Pearl to recall Liberating Command.

Troxell Lanathar |

The only change will be that the eagle will full attack the spider. I'll keep the first talon attack and just roll the other two if there's no objections.
Talon 2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Myhm |

Myhm remains on the spot, guarding with his axe until either creepers come into range.
(full def)

DM Rah |

Mikmik, who had been hiding (cowering) near the back of the passage, jumps out and shoots at the spider-man, but both his stealth and archery skills are lacking.
The spider kills the last of Troxell's eagles.
The spider-man throws a web down and snatches Troxell with it. "Hee hee!" It giggles and hunches its back, tearing a strange webbing there. It bursts and a swarm of spiders drops onto Teena, Troxell, and Mikmik, crawling all over them with stinging bites! "Get them my children!"
2 points of damage to all three plus make a DC 12 Fort Save vs Poison and another DC 12 Fort Save or suffer distraction (see spoiler).
Mikmik screams in terror and flails about, trying to get the spiders off.

Myhm |

Myhm drops his axe, grabs the cavern walls and tries to climb to reach the creeper.
1d20 + 12 ⇒ (9) + 12 = 21
Once within grasp he tries to wring the thing's neck.
1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31

Troxell Lanathar |

Fort Save Poison: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Fort Save Distraction: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
With a stony look of annoyance, Troxell attempts to cast Liberating Command to free himself despite the spiders and the web.
Concentration Check: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25
Escape Artist: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32
Having escaped his bonds, Elemental Troxell Earth Glides in the wall.

Reflex 19 for half

DM Rah |

Myhm, climbing speed is one quarter movement. Climbing is part of movement, so it's generally part of a move action (and may be combined with other types of movement in a move action). Each move action that includes any climbing requires a separate Climb check. Catching yourself or another falling character doesn't take an action. The climb DC in this passage is 20. You will be able to climb 20 feet this round (if you make another check). The spider-man is 30' up. You can attempt Accelerated Climbing: You try to climb more quickly than normal. By accepting a –5 penalty, you can move half your speed (instead of one-quarter your speed), but that still won't get you to him and allow an attack this round.
Xerexis, what's your target - spider or spider-man?

DM Rah |

Myhm climbs the wall, at first carefully, but then in leaping bounds as he grabs cracks and kicks off ledges, quickly nearing the spider-man above.
Troxell escapes the webbing and slids into the wall.
Xerexis fires at the spider, putting a hole in it, but not killing it.
Teena hurls a lightning bolt at the spider-man, but it leaps across the passage, evading it entirely!
The spider-man leaps on Myhm's back, clawing and biting the big man while he's clinging to the wall. 38 damage + a Fort Save vs DC 17. FYI - climbers are considered flat-footed unless they have a climb speed (like the spider and spider-man).
The giant spider scrambles down and bites at Xerexis, but the elf blocks its mandibles with his musket, stopping them inches from his face.

Myhm, you can use your declared grapple if you like, but it will cause both of you to fall to the ground 30 feet below.

Troxell Lanathar |

I hate to ask, but is the spider swarm still around?

Troxell Lanathar |

Troxell earth glides around the swarm and tries to hit the spider with an Acid Dart.
Acid Dart (Ranged Touch): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Myhm |

Yes, Mhym will take the grapple and falling damage. His original idea was to drag it to the ground.

DM Rah |

Xerexis changes weapons with lightning quick movements and slashes half the head off the giant spider facing him. It falls back, twitching in death.
Above, the spider-man screeches in surprise and fear as Myhm releases the wall and wraps him up in a bear hug. Both fall heavily to the floor of the cave.
Falling Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 1) = 10
Troxell, you can redirect your acid bolt to the spider-man or change actions if desired. Teena, any action from you?

DM Rah |

Going to assume Troxell redirected to the spider-man.
Troxell's acid dart burns the spider-man, but Teena's scorching ray misses due in part to Myhm grappling with it in such close proximity.
The spiders swarm over Mikmik and Teena. Mikmik screams and panics, flailing about in a futile attempt to get the spiders off. 1 damage to Teena, plus make a DC 12 Fort vs Poison and DC 12 Fort save vs Distraction.

Troxell Lanathar |

Yeah, the redirect was completely cool with me.
Troxell morphs back into human form and pulls free his Cold Iron Scythe.
"Mikmik, get away from the swarm so Teena can destroy it with a spell."

Myhm |

Assuming that Mhym still has the grapple.
Myhm wrestles against the creature like two feral beasts.

Mikmik's screams continue as he stumbles further down the passage in an attempt to escape the spiders.
Even if Myhm fails the distraction he'll move, so let's see how the swarm handles the burning hands spell.
Reflex Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19 Holy cow, it made it.
Teena's spell sets the swarm alight, but the creatures keep coming!
Xerexis and Myhm have yet to act.

Myhm does the reactive thing to little biting crawlers all over him - smear them onto his skin as he moves away. "Haghh! It biting!"

DM Rah |

The swarm turns back, flowing over Myhm and Troxell! They quickly flee the area and Teena throws another burst of fire that consumes enough of the vermin to send the rest scurrying away into cracks and away into other small cave passages.

Troxell doesn't look very well, those spiders must have really got to him.

Strength Damage to Troxell from Poison: 1d2 ⇒ 2 And you need to roll another save.
Mikmik Fort Save vs Poison: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Mikmik stands shaking near the edge of the chasm leading further into the caves. You have the feeling he was just about desperate enough to attempt leaping across. Shaking the last of the spiders away, and cringing at all the crushed corpses left behind, he sits down heavily.
"Mikmik feel like.. bad."

Teena Akaash |

"We all do, Mikmik. Those things were a nightmare. It might be best for us to find a safe place, heal all we can, and see if we feel better tomorrow. We are all beaten half to death, it seems."
