Telemne: A highly civilized and advanced people that used magic to attune their bodies with elemental power, becoming the first true elementalists. They were not one race, but many, as the rituals for attunement could be taken by any with the knowledge and power to perform them. Once attuned, a Telemne often passed on this trait to their children. What the Telemne did not know was that Tharizdun’s elemental aspects had corrupted their connection to the elements, and his influence towards chaos and destruction grew stronger as a Telemne mage tapped into their elemental magic. Some elements, such as Fire, were more prone to this corruption then others, and since the Telemne were a mostly agnostic people, few discovered the source of this corruption. A millenium ago the Fire Lords started a conflict that would become known as the War of Fire. It nearly consumed the world, and most of the Telemne abandoned the prime material plane to seek safety in planes beyond. A hundred years ago Fae’ra’el, the captial city of the Telemne Empire, returned to the prime, but found the land they once ruled fallen to wastelands or risen as new nations by humanoids that survived the War of Fire.
Air Lord: (archaic – Aer Lord) A humanoid descended from the Telemne with strong magical ties to the element of air. At one time the Air Lords were one of four factions that ruled the Telemne Empire.
Kragis’Aer: A flying citadel currently ruled by Talteslos. In the War of Fire, the Air Lords of Kragis'Aer escaped Dirith, but the magic partially failed and cast the citadel adrift in the Elemental Plane of Air. A thousand years later their descendants were found and returned to the Prime with the help of the Archmage Air Lord Talteslos. Current residents are a mix of humans, elves, half-elves, gnomes, cloud giants, and sylphs.
The Kor Empire
Once a great nation that stretched all the way to he ocean, the Kor Empire lost it's founder, the Eternal Emperor Adrimus Kor, in the same events surrounding the destruction of Tharizdun. The Godslayer Nilu became the next Emperor and has withdrawn the influence of his nation to rebuild and recover from corruption that plagued the Empire in the final years of the Eternal Emperor's reign.
OOC Notes: Kor is a mix between ancient Rome and China. Adrimus Kor was a Buddha like person who created a religion based on a philosophy of Law, Order, and Knowledge rather than belief in gods and fostered the training of an order called the Monks of Kor. His nation was run more like a roman Republic, protected by a military broken down like the Roman Legions.
