You can ask Irabeth to be the face of the commander of the army, and let her know what you would like the army to do.

Sverixalint |

Sounds like a good plan!

Sverixalint |

Oh, talking about selling things reminds me, there are a few things I'll probably be wanting gold values for here:
Gold ring from dead dwarf in shrine (early in the underground portion)
Chipped spear-thrower statuette (also from the underground portion)
Copper bat brooch (I think from very early in the underground portion)
Also, I have a note that Sverix gave Irabeth a 'Paladin Sword'--as I recall, it was found in the end of the underground portion, in the lair of the cultist leader of the evil mongrelfolk.

Sverixalint |

Doing all right? Just been busy?

GM_CariMac |

Been busy, and needed to do some research on your questions. Totally lost track of how long it's been since a post.

Sverixalint |

No problem. I know how life goes, and there's certainly been times I've lost track of the fact it's my turn to post in a game I'm GMing. :D

Sverixalint |

Losing track again? :D

GM_CariMac |

Gold ring from dead dwarf in shrine (early in the underground portion) 125 GP
Chipped spear-thrower statuette (also from the underground portion) 75 GP
Copper bat brooch (I think from very early in the underground portion) 200 GP
Also, I have a note that Sverix gave Irabeth a 'Paladin Sword'--as I recall, it was found in the end of the underground portion, in the lair of the cultist leader of the evil mongrelfolk. - It was Radiance, a powerful sword once wielded by Yaniel, one of the Worldwound’s most famous heroines.
Radiance was once a powerful weapon, yet since Yaniel’s death the blade has become inert. When handled by a paladin, however, the blade suddenly glows with golden light and functions as a +1 cold iron longsword that radiates light as a torch on command. The weapon shifts and changes its form to match the paladin’s deity’s favored weapon (in the hands of a paladin who doesn’t worship a deity, the weapon remains a +1 longsword). Certain events and tasks can awaken Radiance’s latent powers, eventually transforming it into a full-fledged holy avenger—these events are noted in the following adventures in Wrath of the Righteous as they occur.

Sverixalint |

Thank you!
Sverix will let Irabeth keep Radiance, since he's not a paladin.

Sverixalint |

*Poke*

Sverixalint |

All right! (And sorry, I was just realizing my poke could be considered rude.)

GM_CariMac |

It wasn't rude at all. I realized that I hadn't posted since March 4 in a lot of games. This one included. It was just super busy week. I had something every day after work, and work was super busy which didn't leave me time to get posts in.

GM_CariMac |

Still trying to review the mass combat rules. It's on my list for tomorrow.

Sverixalint |

All right!

Sverixalint |

Everything okay? Busy busy?

Sverixalint |

Look at the fun little Sverix picture I just got! :) I imagine this is how he'll look about three levels from now.

Sverixalint |

I love how Sverix can be adorable and then turn around and be a savage demon-killing machine. :D
Of course, once he starts getting house-sized he's going to stop being adorable, I have a feeling.
Side note--it's pretty subtle in that picture, but I'm planning on him taking Mythic Complex Essence at some point and starting to add a bit of gold dragon into his design on top of the silver and bronze. I'm kind of thinking that, as a Herald of Apsu, he'll increasingly become kind of a 'paragon of metallic dragons', hence getting features of all the Lawful Good metallics.

GM_CariMac |

I'll be away from good computer access May 23-May 27 (Paizo Con) and completely away from the computer May 30-June 3 (family visiting).

Sverixalint |

All right, have fun! :)

GM_CariMac |

I'm alive and kicking. I'll have a post up this weekend. I have to look up the NPC stat blocks, and get those in my notes.

Sverixalint |

Welcome back! How was everything?
I had a bit of an exciting time--I live in the Dayton area and was only a few miles away from those tornadoes on Memorial Day. I've been out to help with the cleanup once already.

GM_CariMac |

It was awesome. The kiddos loved their time out here. I had a 13 and an 11 year old. We went to Mt. Ranier, and found snow at about 5600 feet.
Paizo Con was awesome as usual. I got to play in some awesome games.
I'm glad you are all right. The weather has been so horrible this week.

GM_CariMac |

I'm sorry for the slow posting. I'll get caught up tomorrow. Life got super busy. I don't know why adults can't act like adults when things aren't going their way.

Sverixalint |

Ouch, sounds like you're really not having a fun time. Take all the time you need.

Sverixalint |

Things getting any better?

GM_CariMac |

They were, and then I'm down with something. My brain is barely functioning. I haven't forgotten you or flaked out.

Sverixalint |

That's fine! Just wanted to check in.

GM_CariMac |

Whelp I finally got the NPC's leveled up to the appropriate level, and now we're ready to jump back in for a couple of weeks.
I'm away from July 11 to July 22 without internet. Unless they suddenly got better cell service in the mountains.

Sverixalint |

Huzzah!
Seems like you're having a pretty busy summer. Hopefully it's fun trips and not all work trips?

GM_CariMac |

I'm here. I just ran out of steam to post. I'll get a post up tomorrow first thing in the morning.
Just a reminder I'll be away the 12 through 22. Start date of the holiday moved back a day.

Sverixalint |

No problem! Hope it ends up being a good holiday for you!

Sverixalint |

Welcome back! Hope your trip was good!

GM_CariMac |

It was great. Got to see the family, and some beautiful country in Colorado. I also got to game in person with one of my favorite people and GMs while in Salt Lake City. He's a third party publisher so we got to play in his world. It was a blast.

Sverixalint |

Nice! My wife and I will actually be flying out to Salt Lake City next month to see my sister and her husband and particularly their newborn son. :)

Sverixalint |

I like visiting, but wouldn't live there. I like my natural greenery outside of canyons. :D

Sverixalint |

Anything we're waiting on?
I'm still kicking myself over not replacing my wand of cure light. XD

Sverixalint |

Mythic power is nasty.

Sverixalint |

Yes. Clearly I needed to heal to full before this battle.
*Curses my forgetting about needing a replacement wand again*
How do we want to handle this?

Sverixalint |

A couple thoughts on how we could deal with this:
*Ret-con in me buying the wand of CLW I thought I had and using it to heal to full, giving me another 33 HP to work with for this battle. (The downside is I'm not sure Sverix will win this even with another 33 HP, since that looks like it'll only give him another round conscious)
*Shouldn't the cleric hit with my breath weapon have needed to make a Concentration check to keep casting his summoning spell? DC 24 isn't a terribly hard Concentration check, but a failure that resulted in one less Babau would have helped.
*We'd been keeping Sverix 1 level ahead of what was expected as part of the tweaks to make it possible for him to do a solo run like this. Looking at the expected level of the module, it looks like he's no longer ahead by one level. Was this a deliberate change or did I just not tell you we'd been doing that?
Honestly, a longer-term issue is that Sverix really needs to do something about his AC, but that's actually a deliberate balancing issue with Draconic Exemplars--they have rather poor armor to make up for their high melee damage and HP.

GM_CariMac |

You are right about the concentration check. Let's start with that.
DC24: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 7 + 2 = 21
Ok that's going to help.

Sverixalint |

Indeed it will. :D

GM_CariMac |

We're backing up to this point.
Initiative Jadiss Y: 19 14 DMG
Initiative Ilzek: 18
Babau Teal
Initiative Sverix: 16 8 DMG
Initiative Anevia: 14
Initiative Ghoul Green: 11
Initiative Arabash: 8 29 DMG
Initiative Ghoul 4 Yellow: 19
Initiative Ghoul 2 Blue: 18
Initiative Ghoul 6: 11
Initiative Ghoul Red: 8
Initiative Ghoul 5:
Green is still up but peach isn't there so your first attack would have taken down the green ghoul. What would you do after that?

Sverixalint |

He'd move up and get in the cleric's face for now. That also means he wouldn't have taken the 18 damage from the demon last round.

Sverixalint |

Oh, should I post that in Gameplay?
