Brother Ikwa Sumantra
Having arrived among a group of other Deathwatch marines by way of Thunderhawk transport, you were given a brief introduction and then sent on your way to make arrangements for your equipment and attendees.
Afterwards you find the Watch-Captain, a Black Shield by the name of Enoch, in the meal area taking a short respite from his daily duties.

Round 3
One of the rebels has been cut down by the Marine Hammerns bolter fire. The other man looks like he has lost his stomach for this battle, his eyes trailing towards the elevators control panel.
Shield Rebel (10): 1d100 ⇒ 86The huge warrior tries to land another blow on Brother Arkhos with his axe but fails miserably in doing so.
Brother Arkhos (8):
Lasgun Rebels (6): The rebel scurries across the elevator and mashes a button on the Elevator and then hunkers down as he nervously waits for the sluggish doors to close.
Brother Hammern (?):

Brother Ulrich Hammern |

I rolled for initiative earlier, the roll was a 14.
Not one to allow those who spurn the Emperor to escape, Ulrich looses another burst at the man in the elevator as he is trying to reach the control panel.
Full Auto.
Attack 50+10+20=80: 1d100 ⇒ 80.
Damage: 2d10 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (10, 10) + 5 + 2 = 27.
Righteous Fury 50+10+20=80: 1d100 ⇒ 9.
Damage: 2d10 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (3, 8) + 5 + 2 = 18.
Does a Righteous Fury on a full auto attack get extra hits per DoS?

Brother Arkhos |

Arkhos will parry the axe in the chance of his power axe breaks the more mundane one used by the traitor which takes far more effort than he would have wanted.
Parry
WS 401d100 ⇒ 80
WS re-roll 1d100 ⇒ 24
Now Arkhos readies his axe and attempts to knock his target senseless by hitting him in the head with the flat side of the power axe.
Stun
WS 30 1d100 ⇒ 5
Strength Check 1d10 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17

GM JC Spooks |

No. Righteous Fury only counts for one additional hit.
1d100 ⇒ 10
Despite Brother Hammerns efforts the mans pathetic scurrying saves him from an otherwise unpleasant demise. Seconds later the elevator doors close and you lose sight of the rebel.
1d10 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11
Meanwhile the remaining rebel has had his weapon shattered by Brother Arkhos's power axe. The marine follows it with a mighty blow to the hulks noggin, causing him to stumble for a few moments before falling to his knees and gripping his helmet. "Augh..." he moans.
Combat Over

Brother Ikwa Sumantra |

Having had his attendants place his equipment within one of the unoccupied cells assigned to him, Ikwa took the time to get a feel for the layout of the tower, starting with the feasting hall. When he walked into the open hall, he saw his new Watch Captain seated within. Placing a fist over his left-most heart in salute, he bowed his head in respect to the elder marine before speaking up. "Good day Watch Captain. I must admit, this assignment is a bit different than what I thought I would receive in my future. I hope to do it honor nonetheless..." Admittedly, now that he was here, the Void Wyrm was at a bit of a loss for what he should say.

GM JC Spooks |

Brother Ikwa Sumantra
Captain Enoch looks up from the file he is reading, his face look tired. He returns your salute with the sign of the Aquila and says "It can seem strange at first, but you will grow used to it in time. Though I will say that it is easier if you keep yourself open to some of the traditions that your brothers may observe. You are of the Void Wyrms, aren't you Brother Sumantra? I must admit that I am not familiar with them as I could be."

Brother Ikwa Sumantra |

Ikwa nodded in response. "That is to be expected. Compared to many of the older Chapters out there, ours is not as draped in glory. Our efforts have been mostly isolated to our own subsectors, fraught as they are with their own problems." Taking a moment to seat himself across from the Watch Captain so as to not be looming over him, the Wyrm continued. "Some of our own practices may seem strange as well, yet are still as valid as any other I imagine. Cavarrus is a harsh and unforgiving world at its best, yet it thrives with its own life, necessitating a hardy people to survive it, which of course makes for good recruits. The Void Wyrms specialize in stealth and unconventional warfare, tunnel fighting and boarding operations for the most part. Living on a world with no sun lends itself to having to know how to operate in such cramped conditions and nonstandardized tactics... at least by the Codex's reckoning. What more would you like to know?"

GM JC Spooks |

Brother Ikwa Sumantra
"Just one thing...something that was to be a "special consideration" when I requested you: what are your chapters view on Psykers?" he pauses a moment to let the question sink in. "I apologize if I'm being forward but you must understand that some of our more zealous brethren can sometimes have difficulty serving alongside Librarians of the Deathwatch." His words hold a certain truth to them, certain chapters (such as the infamous Black Templars) have a distaste for Psykers so extreme that it may sometimes interfere with their ability to act in the field.

GM JC Spooks |

Brother Arkhos, Hammern, and Invictus
Brother Hammern: there is indeed a control panel on the outside but nothing that immediately strikes you as an override. Then again, you don't have much in the way of technical expertise.
Brother Arkhos: The rebel is currently unrestrained so whatever you want to do, do it quick. He won't be disabled forever.
Brother Invictus: You had just removed the Sarcophagus of Brother Faust from his Mars pattern body and had been transferring it carefully to the Contemptor when you heard the report of bolter fire from the area where the two marines had gone.

Brother Techmarine Invictus |

opening a vox channel to his brothers +++Brothers my work here is complete I heard a short period of gun fire and an explosion, I take it our guests on the elevator were not friendly. with this task complete we should help finish off the assault on the surface and report back to the watch captain, the vigilant never rest brothers+++
turning to faust "how does the body feel brother, it looks at good order but i lack a full team to go over it in detail, do you notice any issues or shall we bring the emperors fury to the rebels that our brothers still hunt?"

Brother Ikwa Sumantra |

Ikwa grimaced as he mulled over the Captain's question. "Psykers are known to be a requirement for interstellar communications and travel. You cannot speak to another across the stars without waiting years for vox traffic to travel, and navigating the warp without a psyker is virtually unheard of... Those who attempt it are either lost or worse," he said as he tapped a finger on the table. "That said, Psykers are a living nightmare. On Cavarrus, every fungus tree, every animal, every creature living within the warrens and mazes of the planet is at least partially sensitive to psychic phenomena. If a single psyker is born it causes the jungles to shudder and shake, creating earthquakes that bury entire villages and towns, and cause stampedes of voracious predators from the depths to charge blindly through the tunnels, tearing everything they come across apart. A single witch can create a catastrophe I've only ever seen mimicked by an orbital bombardment... All psykers are banned from the world, and what astropaths and navigators we do have are kept trapped on a station halfway across the system."
The Void Wyrm took a deep breath in. "This... is not Cavarrus. What happens there does not happen on every planet either. Psykers are dangerous mutants that MUST be controlled... but I do understand that there is a necessity for them in the greater Imperium. I will not let it affect my duties. I might not socialize much with them, but I will work with them if the mission needs to."

Elder Brother Eisen Faust |

Brother Invictus
"All systems operating within acceptable parameters, thank you tech-marine. It feels good to be rejoined with a relic of my Chapter." replies the Ancient in his hollow, metallic voice. He takes a few tentative steps forward, the Contemptor already noticeable more agile than the Mars pattern body. He begins checking over the dreadnoughts weapon systems, two chain-fists with integrated bolters.
"It would appear that this relic was not stored with ammunition. I will be limited to melee weaponry until we return to the fortress." Even though there is no tone or variation in his voice you sense the slightest hint of contentment in his words.
Brother Arkhos
It takes a bit before the rebel is coherent enough to reply. When he does he speaks with a deep, slow voice: "Ergh...boss?" he stops and thinks for a moment and then looks around. He slowly reaches inside of his armor and pulls out a medallion and holds it to you. The image is that of the Emperor, a common symbol of the Imperial Cult. "Big boss!" he says excitedly "He's in the sky!".
You are getting the sense that this rebel may not be the brightest of sorts, especially since he doesn't seem to realize that he is a rebel at all. Thicker than an Ogryn. In fact...given his size and apparent stupidity, that may not be too far from the truth.

Brother Ulrich Hammern |

Ulrich nods to Arkhos, "As you say, Brother." He moves quickly toward the container that held the Contemptor, reloading his bolter as he goes.
As he nears the container, he calls to the others, "Brother Invictus, Elder Faust, how much more time do you need?" Then he rounds the corner to see the majesty of a Contemptor dreadnought in motion. Silent and still for a moment, he makes the sign of the Aquila and bows to Elder Faust.

Brother Techmarine Invictus |

"Job complete brothers, the emperors will protects! i see our guests are delt with as well" Invictus calls back following just behind faust "With this great weapon let us continue the fight with our enemy, it seems we lack ammunition but the close combat weapons are in perfect working order so Faust has volunteered to anoint the Dreadnought in the blood of our foes. where too now brothers? to the surface once more?"

Brother Ulrich Hammern |

Ulrich glances at the body of the Skitarii, "Before we leave, Brother Invictus will you assist me by removing the storm bolter from that creatures arm? It will be simpler than my method, and I would like to claim the bolter as trophy." Ulrich pats the hilt of his power sword by way of illustrating what 'his method' would be.

Brother Techmarine Invictus |

tech-use:60:1d100 ⇒ 4 i remember seeing that check to get the gun off as a tech use but i cant find the DC for it on the slow internet im on at the moment, but i think that roll should succeed lol
looking down at the corpse Hammern points to Invictus takes notice of the fine weapon he references certainly worthy of a trophy "if you wish brother, this is certainly a fine weapon to posses, perhaps the forgemaster aboard our ship could even fit it to a gauntlet so you may wield it with a hand free... but i get to far ahead of myself let me remove it first" quickly removing plugs and unscrewing fasteners and generally disassembling the very arm of the man who was wearing the stormbolter Invictus in no time has the gun free and removed and hands the beautiful and deadly weapon to his brother holding on to it for perhaps just a moment longer than he should have as he still admires the glorious technology the empire posses to fight the enemy scum that face them.

Brother Ulrich Hammern |

With a grin Ulrich accepts the weapon, "Thank you, Brother Invictus. If it is decided that I am able to keep this, I will certainly see about putting it to use. It would be a shame for such as this to molder in the fortress."
Stowing the weapon, Ulrich checks his sword and bolter, mutters a small prayer to the spirits in them, and turns to Arkhos, "Ready when you are, Brother Arkhos."

GM JC Spooks |

The Watch Captain returns your vox after a delay, there's a bit of interference. Apparently the machine spirits are having difficulty communicating this far below ground:
+++We can't risk the Sisters discovering the Relic. Have Brother Invictus escort it back to the surface and we'll extract it alongside the Colonel's forces once the battle is over.+++

Brother Techmarine Invictus |

"understood brother, should your situation turn dire please dont hesitate to call me back to the facility, the serfice near the colonel is clear last i saw so Faust should be fine on his own but i will watch him to be sure"
turning to Faust Invicuts addresses concerns the he is sure Faust has had come into his mind at those orders "i know your not a child brother but that suit is untested s while initial reports are coming in clean having me nearby is a sound plan in case some of those diagnostics were wrong, let us make out way topside for extraction"

GM JC Spooks |

Brother Ikwa Sumatra
As he goes to speak you hear a soft chirping coming from the Watch-Captains pocket. He pulls out something akin to portable vox-caster and checks it saying: "Please excuse me for a moment brother" as he steps away from the table. A few minutes later he returns and apologizes.
"That was them just now. Currently the kill-team is deployed in Gun Metal City to assist with suppressing the uprising there. It's inexplicable really, seems like the whole sector has been going mad these last few months" he sighs.

Brother Techmarine Invictus |

"I'll see what i can do brothers, the facility is badly damaged but Emperor willing i should be able to point you in the correct direction"
Invictus access the console and while the systems are damaged with a little work and some luck he manages to find the information his brothers are looking for so he calls them over "Come look at the panel brothers, as you know we are here, according to these schematics the place you want to reach can be found taking this path, it seems fairly strait but there could be collapsed hallways or other roadblocks im unaware of, these are only blueprints i could not get a current status of the building due to damages"
dispte the difficulty i get success woot
Tech-use=60-20:1d100 ⇒ 29

Brother Ulrich Hammern |

Ulrich claps the techmarine on his shoulder, a gesture that is largely symbolic due to the heavy armored plates that protect him there, "Excellent work, Invictus, and thank you for speeding our progress."
He turns to the dreadnought standing nearby and salutes with the sign of the Aquila, "Good hunting Elder Brother, it was an honor to assist you. The Emperor Protects."

Sister Ciaran |

You eventually make your way to the command room, though it looks like you have missed the battle. Rebel bodies litter the hallway around you alongside piles of bolter shells. In the command room itself you find Sister Adele and her team. They have already rounded up and restrained several rebels, corralling them in the center of the room. As you enter the Sister Superior turns to you, and though you can't see her face in her helmet, you'd imagine she looks quite contented as she says "So good of you to join us Commander. Did you enjoy your detour?"

Brother Arkhos |

Arkhos smiles to himself "Glad to know we weren't missed, I trusted your skills and hope it wasn't so hard for you sister without us" as he answers the sister quip with one of his own as he admires her defiant and confident attitude "She is but a tool and my mission a success that is all" as he hopes there are some survivors from the leaders.

Sister Ciaran |

Brother Arkhos starts to search for whatever glory may still be had. Meanwhile Sister Adele continues to indulge in her team's success: "Indeed. The mighty Astartes may be well adapted to fighting the enemies of man, but perhaps not against the enemies within?"
Distracted by your conversations, the Sisters do not notice as one of the prisoners starts to shift suspiciously in his restrained position. With your attention drawn to him you catch a glimpse of something below his loose clothing as he squirms around. You can't quite tell, but it looks like it may be a...bomb?

Brother Techmarine Invictus |

"come brother lets get you to the surface, im sure that chassis could use some breaking in and there is still fighting to do on the surface so im told, what say you to a test drive?" Invictus asked faust, mostioning to the freight elivator
opening a vox channel to the other team +++this is brother invictus, faust has successfully been outfitted in a Contemptor dreadnought chassis and is ready for combat, are there any big targets on the surface that need removing?+++
