An uncertainty of unknown force takes over Deleos for a few moments as he struggle to decide which way to take. Stay with the last machanicus survivors? Sprint back to the team in the hope to swing the tide? He quickly takes a look at the chrono of his armor. No chance to head back in time. If they still stand when I come back, they will hold on their own for longer... So stay here.
Despite his decision to stay on the taken route, he gets more frustrated with every passing moment until he cannot stay on the place any longer without phasing into a rage.
To counter the curse of his blood, he walks around the place of the carnage, trying to find any clue of what happened at this place despite the superficial.
Awareness/Scrutiny/Tracking 60-20=40: 1d100 ⇒ 94 Bah, bloody hell, here definitely is sorcery at work - I can feel it!^^

After walking around the place for a few time the machine spirit of his armor emits a loud and nerve wrecking screeching sound that totally matches the feelings of the chaplain. Damn this place. I should plant a few bombs at the core of it and blow it to hell!

The necron somehow remains pinned to the ground, it's upright and facing the marines, but it struggles to move and is no longer hovering.

DELEOS:

Just so we're clear OOC, the time passing here with you and with the others isn't the same. You getting here and being here is longer than the actual time they are fighting.

As you pace in rage, unable to see clearly, you wonder where all the battle servitors went. You can't find any remains of them now, but you swear you remember seeing some before. At some point you think you hear some humming noise, but you can't place it, perhaps its a malfunction in your helmet's auspex. Maybe the tech-priest could have a look.

Ultramarine Devastator (Rank 7), Deathwatch Keeper

A thin film of frost spreads across Lucian's armour, seemingly cold despite the fire still licking across him. A prickling at his mind agitates the primal, violent urges that all Astartes normally keep in check and Lucian lets out an almost bestial roar as he strides towards the pinned xeno-mech. He feels an uncontrollable rage inside him as he lifts one enormous ceramite boot and tries to crush the xeno horror underfoot.

Half Action to move into melee with the xeno, Half Action to attack it in melee. Haven't really got any melee weapons so it's essentially just an unarmed attack.

Jup, that's clear, but IC he cannot know when the fight started ...
After some moments Deleos get a grasp of his white hot temper again and he strides back to the magos'.
"As we wait ... Describe me what exactly happens here, Magos. Every detail may be of utter importance! By the way ... what happened to those combat servitors? I cannot find see them - or parts of them in the mess here. Dante, could you check the autosenses of my suit if there is some time. I seem to be unable to track the enemies."
Command or Interrogation test? ... No forceful questioning of course, just trying to get a good report, asking in-depth questions about what happened and about the servitors. Maybe I get more info that way, beside: They came and attacked us.^^ Otherwise I am a bit out of ideas what to do.

Pyros feels a surge of white hot lava through his veins, like a volcano his core of hatred for the xenos pours forth, all his wrath from the hurt caused him fuels the fire and he strikes forward at the pinned creature with all his force. Shortly after the explosion the lifeless machine fades out of existence, leaving only its large bladed weapon.

Combat ends.

Elijah tries his best to explain, but it's slow, he seems to be meditating and your interruptions don't help on his self repair.

Machines unlike any I have ever encountered appeared in flashes of red light, they immediately began to slaughter and attempted to focus 8n me. I did not make it easy and as the servitors fell they dragged anything living away, dead or alive. They didn't bother with the servitors remains, they should be here... Then, as quickly as they came, they vanished. Taking their own... Even the fallen machines seemed to regenerate and rise again, I was sure this would be my end... I can walk now, we should rendezvous with your team... As for your auspex, now is not the time and I fear I can not perform the necessary rituals and rights with my injuries and damaged mechandrites... Thank you Astartes, had you not returned for me, I fear I too would have perished. As he rises he views the area and comments on the lack of evidence..

I do not understand, where have the remains and equipment gone? They showed no interest in it before fleeing, perhaps they returned while I was unconscious, but that does not explain why I was not taken too... We must regroup, come, let us leave.

As you leave you barely see any signs of a fight, it's as if a vacuum cleaner had been run across the area, it looked much like it did when you first entered the section, even the make shift barriers that were built are reduced in size.

You may roll scrutiny. Or take another action before leaving, otherwise, the Skittari make for the rest of the squad. You will arrive shortly after the battle, the doors opening for you to enter. The doors do not open for the kill team though, it's as if someone or something wants you to remain in the Throne room.

After the team deals with the mysterious flames they have some time to gather themselves and heal. If you try to exit through the door you entered then it won't open, only when Deleos and the Skitarri warriors approach does it open. When they near your helmet auspex indicates each others position and physical health. You may now communicate with each other again.

Before everyone is together again you receive another message by text on an open frequency:

Threat eliminated, infection risk zero. Deactivating stasis protocols, stand by to be received at current location. The Dynasty thanks you for your assistance. My master will be pleased.

The message comes before you are together, right after the fight, while Deleos is in route back to you. Feel free to RolePlay after dealing with the attack and after/before the message, once we're all together and some time passes, I'll move things forward. Feel free to do whatever you like until then. After long and quiet walk back towards the large room the team fought the waves of enemies. Just as the systems of his armor finally receives the life signs and status info of the team, another text message comes through. What thread? Infection? Stasis protocol?! Master? Who will come to receive us? No answers just more questions.
Turning his mind to the problem at hand, Deleos voxes the team. "Deleos and Skitarii approaching your location. Good job team. Glad I do not have to deliver the last rites to anyone today. ETA 3 minutes. All other Adeptus Mechanicus assets lost and displaced to unknown location by unknown enemy forces. What thread does the message reference to?"

Deleos

As you're leaving you think it's odd how the barriers had been reduced in size, they weren't broken down, it's as if they were eaten and broken down on chunks, from the edges inwards. Not likely possible by the description given by Elijah regarding the enemy, which you know to match what the squad has already encountered. Sorry if I didn't make it clear, forgot to describe details of the enemies, so you'd recognize them as the flayed ones you've encountered. ALSO, it's Threat, not thread, you spelled it that way twice, so not sure if you've misunderstood.

Xing helps put out the flames of Vartas who has been on fire since combat began.

Ultramarine Devastator (Rank 7), Deathwatch Keeper

The pinned form of the xenomech washes fire over Lucian one last time before fading from sight like the ruins of the skin-covered ones had before. Still on fire, Lucian turns to see Xing working to quench the flames. "My thanks Brother," he says with gratitude.

Another mysterious text message appears on the display inside Lucian's helmet. "The Dynasty? What is going on? This message makes it seem as if we have been manipulated into destroying these creatures, as if we were pawns to be moved around and sacrificed at a whim." A note of anger creeps into his voice at the last statement.

That creeps me out .. Something crawled from the inside out and it was not those murder machines ... o.O
Obviously just mistyped + my phone auto-corrected it into a fred instead but also en is not my native language so invalid wording might happen - understanding is never the problem or I would ask.
I'm posting mostly on phone from trains or university so that may happen sometimes ;-).

Not from inside out, looks like something ate it from the outside edges of the barrier and started working into it instead of taking it apart. Creepy yes, but ooc not beyond the realm of necrons. No worries on language, I noticed you're not native, bc I'm an ESL teacher, but barely, your English is great.

Space Wolves Grey Hunter (Tactical Marine 7)

So I will just count those shots as not happening?

Ulrich works to calm Lori after the battle ends, then reloads his plasma gun and returns to the floor of the Throne room. When the door will not open he turns and studies the other passages into the room, "Brothers, it seems that we have once again been used by others for their own gains. I tire of this."

The other 3 passage doors are open still.

Ulrich, yes, those last shots of yours never happened.

After about 10 minutes three necrons appear in flashes of emerald light,to those with the knowledge, for others, three humanoid machines appear about 50m from the team. In the middle is a smaller necron wielding a staff and covered in blue robes. It's flanked by two larger necrons carrying swords and shields. Behind them is a long metal box that is horizontal and floating.

Greetings Astartes, I have waited a long time for this encounter.

just a little warmup for active folks to continue with. Feel free to RolePlay the time before this encounter begins.

Ultramarine Devastator (Rank 7), Deathwatch Keeper

Sorry, didn't see the thing about the open passages.

Seeing further corridors stretching away from the chamber, Lucian suggests investigating them.

"These xeno abominations seem to be able to appear from nothingness, but that does not mean we should be less diligent. We should determine where these passageways lead, and block them if possible. I do not want to risk us being cut off a second time."

Space Wolves Grey Hunter (Tactical Marine 7)

When the creatures appear, Ulrich drops into an immediate battle stance and brings his weapons to bear on the trio. He drifts a few meters to the left as a subtle clicking can be heard from the storm bolter changing magazines, and the plasma chamber on his plasma gun begins to glow more brightly. Lori keeps pace beside him, snarling at the new threats. His voice is hard, "Pyros, orders? Shall we put this creature on its back?" The only thing keeping his weapons from firing is the as yet nonthreatening posture of the newcomers.

Before the Necrons Arrive:

Still need to figure out the fire damage and dodges etc from the end of the last fight, rolling that damage now for anyone it applies to. Armor does not reduce the damage taken, and its got Felling (1) so bypasses Unnat. Tough, meaning only reduce damage TB. Also, if you're on fire, each round you gain 1 level of Fatigue, which gives you -10 to all actions.

Vartas during the fight: looks low enough to where you won't take any damage during the fight for being on fire, but you'll get the Fatigue.
1d10 ⇒ 4 Felling (1), +1 Fatigue

For anyone who caught fire while in the Frenzy melee at the end.
1d10 ⇒ 8 Felling (1), +1 Fatigue

If you decide to talk first and shoot later:

The 3 machines move slowly forward in a non threatening manor, which suggest they wish to talk. Though you don't see anything you would call a mouth, you none the less hear their words. The smaller necron in the center strides forward ahead of the two shielded warriors, as the metal case behind them hovers inaudibly. His look of royalty and majestic presence cant be over looked. A singular eye, spine protruding past the hips into a tail like appendage. Glowing robes of shiny metal glisten from the blue light of its staff. All hulking size

The station A.I. has informed me of your actions. Our Dynasty wishes to thank you for your assistance in ridding this facility of the infected warriors you destroyed. Our stasis protocols would not allow risking exposure and corrupting our warriors, for this we offer you a gift... pausing while the floating metal box comes to his side and hovers towards the marines, while the three necrons wait. As it approaches, with the Necrons about 25m away from the marines, the box of metal floats towards you and begins to reveal something inside. The metal rescinds, as though it were living and liquid to reveal a clear glass, and a Space Marine inside, fully armored. When it pauses in front of the team, the clear glass parts in the middle and a hissing sound is made as the marine's eyes open for the first time in a long while. Simple awareness test reveals its a Deathwatch Champion of the Red Scorpions chapter, from the marks on its armor. Should you choose this option, there will be more.

If you want to shoot first and talk later:

His look of royalty and majestic presence cant be over looked. A singular eye, spine protruding past the hips into a tail like appendage. Glowing robes of shiny metal glisten from the blue light of its staff. All hulking size

Do not be foolish, you will not escape alive or be reunited with your precious Pearl. Cease fire, and you may yet leave this planet alive and continue a far greater mission than you could possibly fathom. Chaos is uniting against mankind, they tried to stop you from coming here...Why do you think that is Astartes? Contain your Xenophobia or you will surely die this day.
Depending on how you react and/or what you do, there will be more.

Regardless of Choice, you may roll Necron FB Lore to understand more of these Necrons.

Before the arrival of the necrons:
With the typical screeching sound and heavy footfall of the Chaplain, Deleos and the two Skitarii return to the throne room. As the door opens, he quickly recovers the placed but unarmed explosive - noting that he will have to refresh his teachings of the explosives after the mission.
After a quick look over the scorched armors and the heavily damaged room, it is obvious that he missed a heavy fight. His servo armor emits another loud noise - like the sound of an enraged feral beast - and the skull helmeted Marine hefts his weapons.
"Seems like you had a hard fight while I was gone. More murder abominations? Some of them wield flamers now? Did you saw some of them coming through the walls? I saw some strange marks at the ambush place back at the entrance point. Those looked like something clawed its way through the barrier inside this base. It also seems strange that those senseless murder machines had spared our helpless ally of the Mechanicus after he put up a good fight and instead stole all bodies and equipment of the base to some unknown location."
After a quick fresh-up with the team, he cheks the internal chrono of his armor. How long have they already been here? It seems like months to him.

Holding back with after-Necron-action until the others have post - especially Pyros

After helping Vartas put out the flames he offers help to anyone else on fire. Not badly wounded, he does accept any medical attention offered. He lifts the sword that remains after inspection, sure the Deathwatch could study it, but insure if he could easily heft it around.

When the necrons appear he takes a defensive stance, readying his arm mounted Bolter and selecting his powerful psy ammunition. Over Vox he says There are certainly more of them awakening, if they want a fight we are at a disadvantage, our only way out is a transport that will not arrive for more than half a day.... We should hear the xenos out... What are your orders Pyros?

As the creatures appear, Pyros adopts a defensive stance and speaks on the squad channel.
"Hold your fire for now. We have the chance to learn a little more about this threat, possibly a weakness or two, for I know nothing of these. "

"Xenos, we do not like being manipulated, speak plainly and quickly, before we end you."

As the obvious leader steps forward and speaks, Pyros tries to pull himself together, but he is completely taken aback when the space marine brother is revealed to them.

"I am not best pleased to hear that you used us to deal with a problem of your own, without even warning us. However, returning one of our brothers to us, goes a long way to making things right. Brother Deleos, please check his condition. Xenos, how come you have one of our brothers in your possession?"

The necron waits to reply as the red scorpion awakens and gathers some senses.

There was an author on Terra at the dawn of humankind that posed a question "Do you believe in free will?"... To which he replied, "Of course, what choice do I have?"... No one made you enter this facility, in fact, Chaos and Daemons have tried to prevent you from doing so... Mankind's xenophobia prevents you from uniting against a greater threat while the Eldar cower in the darkness, fanning the flames of conflict and prevent man from reaching its true potential... While we are not allies, yet, ... We do have common goals... You will be allowed to leave this facility alive and carry on a greater mission, if you choose to do so.

Gonna give more time for people to respond and post.

"Glad to found you all alive, leader. I am sorry but my medicae skills are completely rudimentary and will most likely worsen your state. I can only take over the front row in the next fights and cover the wounded with my body - and so I will, Battle Brothers."

As the machines reveal themselves, Deleos two melee weapons seem to fly into his hand and the bzzzr of two charging energy fields disrupts the momentary silence upon the arrival of a new Xeno. The wings of his jump pack flex and short bursts erupts from the engines as if they already know what will come. Surprised at the words of the leader he comes back up from his half-crouch he uses to get in just before firing his powerful thruster. Slowly he walks towards the metal box, never letting his eyes wander of the Xeno warriors, the activation rune of is jump pack already highlighted in his HUD, ready to be blink-activated. The sudden emergence of more metallic xenos causes Lucian to raise his multi-melta, a shimmering haze of heat rising from the weapon. He is about to open fire when he hear Pyros speak. Obeying orders he holds his fire, but keeps his weapons ready.

As Pyros converses with the robed creature, who reveals himself as a member of the manipulative Dynasty, a floating casket glides forward and opens to reveal the recumbent form of an Astartes in the black armour of the Deathwatch. Just visible on his right pauldron is the yellow, white, and red insignia of the Red Scorpions. Can't fail the Awareness test

Opening the squad encrypted vox, Lucian informs his Brothers. "This Deathwatch Brother is one of the Red Scorpions. They follow the tenets of the Codex to the letter - even more so that my fellow sons of Ultramar. He would never have allowed himself to be captured by these creatures. Nor would he have formed an alliance with them. Something is going on here, and I am very uncomfortable with the whole situation."

The order to hold fire does not cause Ulrich to relax his posture at all, and the barrels of his weapons track the smaller xenos unerringly. The appearance of what seems to be a hostage Astartes only heightens his desire to make holes in this creature with holy bolter and plasma fire. But orders are clear, and he restrains himself, though both Ulrich and Lori are growling softly.

Without further information, he seeks more in order to select a course of action.

Awareness TN 90 (sight): 1d100 ⇒ 54

Activating his suits external address mode, he says: "The date... what is the date?"

As your internal sensors come online and sync vital information with the squad you notice a lapse of about a century.

How we happened upon him is of little importance, perhaps your Dead Cabal can provide you more insight into our race, but know that there are many Dynasties among the Necron and not all see eye to eye, as your species would put it.

"What do you know of the cabal?!" shouts Tyreon, trying to hide his interest at the particularly juicy information the necrons are just handing out. They have factions, he mused, then they can be turned upon one another. Tyreon activates his suit's recorder to capture all the information the necrons are handing out for future study.

Tyreon also has the suit scan the area for his wargear.

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

Sorry Deleos, was tired and got you mixed up with the only other blood angel I have played alongside!

Awareness: 1d100 ⇒ 84

His eyes focused on the alien, watching for any signs of treachery, Pyros pays little attention to the details of the space marine, and is glad to here Brother Vartas' description. Opening a voice link on a general Astartes frequency, Pyros hopes to contact the recovered brother and keep the squad in the loop.
"Welcome brother, I am brother Pyros of the Salamanders. This meeting is fortuitous for we face a grave threat here. This base is likely to overwhelm us although we would take many with us. I suggest we play nice, long enough to contact the cabal and we can make decisions from there. At least then the warning will get out. If we all fight there is a chance, however small that the message will not get out. What say the rest of you?"

Whilst awaiting a response from the brothers around him, Pyros pushes the Necron further.

"I am afraid I must ask for more information about how you came about one of our brothers. The nature of how you took him may affect whether I can trust you. Also I would second my regained brother's question."

Ultramarine Devastator (Rank 7), Deathwatch Keeper

Lucian sees the Red Scorpion rise from his sarcophagus and question the leader of the xenos about some sort of cabal, the existence of which Pyros seems to be familiar. At Pryos' questions Lucian opens the squad frequency with anger in his voice.

"What is this cabal? Another shadow organisation using brave Astartes as it's puppets?! Tell me what is going on here!

My race was once flesh and bone and there are many among us who wish to return to a life like before... To relinquish such a prize is a gift of the highest degree, but one fitting the favor and risk you took this day. In response to the Ultramarine the necron laughs and says, Your brothers and superiors have secrets that are not mine, the question of your Dead Cabal is better addressed to them.

One final gift, for it serves our goals as well as your own. I shall reunite you with your ship, for your true mission has yet to begin. I will open a portal and aid you, for remaining here would be certain doom. I do this not without risk to my own dynasty, but I have seen the possible futures and we must be allies, even if only temporarily.

ignore the response to Vartas, that was on squad chat, my bad.

Tyreons sensors show no signs of any of his wargear, additionally you are fatigued (1).

Pyros detected no signs of treachery, but reading an unfamiliar xenos isn't easy.

Xing tries to assist the Red Scorpion up if he'll allow. Listening to both sides he can't help but wonder what is truly going on. Even his own secrets could not compare in scale to what is being suggested. What common goals could we possibly share? Enemies are enemies, but you speak of alliance, yet offer no reason why... I have had enough games and manipulation, I will squeeze the answer out of machine and man to seek answers and retribution. Then, dismounting his Bolter from his arm he offers it to Tyreon once he's on his feet. Just in case things get ugly. secretly hoping they did. Better to die a marine than live as a pawn.

Can I use Prosanguine to eliminate that condition?

Tyreon accepts the bolter and stands on his feet. "Thank you, brother. Know that you have helped, Tyreon of the Red Scorpions."

Tyreon then sets his suit to identifying the weak points in the necrons' metal hide.

Varryl stands sentinel over the fallen machine as it fades. The unpredicted bloodlust leaving him to query his diagnostic algorithm to find fault within his memory coils.

Arrival-
Varryl levels his weapon on the new arrivals, studying each in turn as one might a work of art. These are not the frantic gore encrusted monstrosities with whom the squad shared battle. These are far more refined. Far more dangerous. More familiar.

Xing swaps out the psy ammunition for regular rounds, inserting his two remaining clips into the custom fire selector. He hands it over, Consider it a loan. Do you want to take your chances with this xenos weapon? offering the large sword left by the latest foe of the team.

exotic weapon without trainin, - 20 WS, think only our Forge master could wield without penalty.

Where has our ship been taken and how do you know where?

"Negative, brother. Let us heed the Codex and rely solely on things that have proven reliable."

I have but one favor to ask in return for my knowledge and help, pausing and slowly raising a hand and pointing to the necron sword... Promise you will destroy that weapon once out of this facility. In exchange I will tell you more of what I know. Breaking such an oath to a member of the royal court is an offense punishable by death. Do I have your word Pyros V'estrian. looking clearly towards him etching closer, but nothing overtly threatening I'm his

Knowing the future is dangerous knowledge, for you focus on everything and risk failing at all, focusing on the present is much simpler for mankind, for there are to many possibilitiesis. The way forward is the right path and will hold even greater risk.

We do not call it the Tyrant star, promise what I want and I will tell you more.
