Sorry

"Well, there is the promise of the member of our squad best suited to destroying the blade, if it helps I will add the promise to aid him in whatever way is necessary."

You think yourself clever with your word games in Gothic. The weapon must be destroyed immediately once you've left, I will not betray my entire race, you can stay here and take your chances in the heart of the Necron empire, or you can destroy it as soon as possible...Before you spend time trying to understand that which would be an affront to more than your Ommnissiah.

Scrutiny -40:

He does not want to be near the weapon and does not want it to remain. Maybe he is bluffing about something.

INT -30:

If the machines you banished were part of an infection, then the sword is the remaining evidence and could possibly be infectious to them. Hence their desire for it to be out of the facility and destroyed.

We do not have much longer, soon this world will vanish and the Hollow Sun with it. You may stay or leave. It is up to you.

If someone promises to immediately destroy it once free from this facilty.:

The Hollow Sun has risen. It will call forth many Tomb Worlds before it sets. Our long sleep is ending, and we will awaken to reclaim that which was once ours. The method and extent will depend largely on many factors, it is too soon for even me to tell which way the pendulum will swing between Light and Chaos. The timing is no coincidence. Malice, a forgotten Chaos God, weaves his web with the servants of the old, what his end game is, is beyond my sight. You must discover it's plans and prevent them. Humanity will not be able to stand alone against the Necron or Chaos. But united, you have a chance. Do not make enemies that could be allies in a conflict, on a scale, which has never been witnessed or recorded by mankind. Your race is far too young and strong to fade from existence. Not all Necron are mindless machines. Not all want the same as they once did. You will find many allies and enemies among my race, tread carefully, for while we are honorable, we are haunted by a past and reminded daily of the deceit and price of our "victory" over flesh and mortality.

Trying to give some hints, often feels like interest in the informational role play parts take a backseat to combat...Basically giving an open book into Necrons here, first encounter for many of you, an unknown race to most in the Galaxy. Plenty of combat to come, gonna be stepping it up another notch, the added Apothecary means you can heal up from whatever punishment I throw at you more quickly. It's not gonna get easier, but I advise trying to gather some crumbs to piece together the story, this encounter being the largest reveal so far for what is in store and what you're actually doing on a macro scale. Surely the newest brother might be lost in the conversation, but you all can fill him in later with what you've recalled and listened to/seen.

Tyreons sensors show no signs of any of his wargear, additionally you are fatigued (1).

Pyros detected no signs of treachery, but reading an unfamiliar xenos isn't easy.

Can I use Prosanguine to eliminate that condition?

Thought I replied earlier somewhere, but I think i didn't. No, Prosanguine can't be used to remeove the fatigue, only damage. And it takes 10 minutes I think, which is the same amount of time you would need to recover from 1 level of fatigue by doing nothing strenuous. Basically as long as you're standing still or walking and not fighting or running laps, you'll be 100% in no time.

Answering brother Vartas on the squad channel.
"Brother Vartas, the Cabal is related to my previous service, this is unfortunately part of our Oath of Ignorance. I will tell you more later if I can, but not here."

Sorry, seem to be having some Paizo problems this morning. Will try and post a response a later today.

I will hold you to your Oath Astartes. says the Necron.

Lucian stands impassively as Pyros and Vestian converse with the xeno leader. The sword seems an object of contention between the two parties. He weighs in with his opinion.

"I have no qualms about the sword being destroyed. I do not know why you wish it destroyed, but it is xeno technology, the use of which is forbidden. Even should the Mechanicus desire it, they should not be meddling with prohibited technologies."

"I look forward to hearing you explain what you can, Brother," Lucian replies to Pyros, a tense edge to his voice that suggests he remains displeased with the secrets being kept from the Kill-Team.

The words of the Xeno is the epitome of Untruth.
For they seek no more than the destruction of the whole of mankind.
Steel the mind of yourself from their talk.

The sound of Deleos armor increases as the machine spirit in it feels his temper rising again. The gauntlets flex around the handles of his weapons. To those knowing him for some time it is obvious that he is boiling with suppressed fury and anger.
This is proved two moments later as a voice filled with anger and hatred comes over the secure team channel which is hard to identify as Deleos'.

Beware Brothers, he is bluffing about the sword. I have the feeling he fears the weapon and does not want it to be near him. Maybe it is a way to keep the machines from regenerate, or it is able to harm their abilities in another way. If it is possible to use it as a weapon against them, we should probably not easily give it up."

Over the vox to the others, Tyreon communicates using Deathwatch cipher: "We shall be keeping the sword."

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

"There is no need to threaten me Necron, I have given my word. So this hollow sun, it will awaken more of your kind? Is that in this area or across the universe? What connection do you have to Chaos? And are you really suggesting we should ally with your race?"

As he waits for the necron to reply, he hears Brother Deleos' and Tyreon's comments.

[b]"Brothers I disagree. I have given my word, and if I break it then I am no better than the filthy xenos and our traitorous former brethren. Yes, this sword may be a potent weapon against them, the Necron has even suggested as much, but that does not make it a pure weapon like the bolter or the chainsword. My concern with that sword would be that it is infected by Chaos, after all did the foul xenos we fought and killed not drape themselves in the bodies of those they had killed, did they not fight with the savage frenzy that we associate with the World Eaters and their followers. The enemy of our enemy is not always our friend.
Brother Varryl may examine it until we reach a facility that can destroy it, but it is not our primary mission. Remember that our mission is to find out about and stop that star or 'Hollow Sun'.

The Hollow Sun will summon more of my kind from across your known universe. Not all will rise at once, but a large enough force will be summoned to exterminate anything in its path. My race has no accord with Chaos. Chaos ultimately seeks to end the existence of all life, it could never do so while at odds with each other. Malice however has hid for too long, he is taking the strongest of Chaos and uniting them under one god. While his final goals are unknown to me, it will not be good for the inhabitants of this universe. The Necron can not allow it, though how we decide to act has been under heavy debate. Some Dynasties would see us rest longer and deal with what is left, while others believe we should stand against them. I have yet to choose a side, but my opinion carries great weight in our courts. While I can no more formally ally our races more than you, we can begin to plant the seeds necessary for cooperation....Now if you have nothing further, we are almost out of time, you must decide to seek out Malice and his allies or wait to be exterminated. There is more I will reveal in time, I promise you this will not be our last encounter. Remember your promise.

Then the Necron turns away from you and raises his arm and staff, making a circular motion, as if painting a circle with his staff that grows brighter. A portal opens, pitch black and large enough for the marines to step through.

The Necron turns once more. You must hurry, within minutes the Hollow Sun will carry this place far far away. Step through to your ship or stay here. Free will. Then he turns and walks back towards his escorts.

"I do not trust the word of the xeno," Lucian says over the squad vox to his Brothers, "but if it speaks the truth then we have little choice but to co-operate. The forces of the warp are strong, and a hidden power uniting the strongest of them threatens the whole of humankind." He pauses, thinking.

"If we are the only ones who know of this threat it is our duty to carry word of it to the Inquisition, and potentially then to the Throneworld itself. If it turns out that this creature speaks lies like all other xenos, then we will have failed. We cannot allow ourselves to be destroyed here, or else we risk greater failure if it does not lie. We should step through the portal," he finishes, offering his opinion.

"You are most likely right, Ultramarine. If that portal really brings us back to our ship or the mechanics base, we should step through quickly - before my instincts finally breaks lose and makes me ripping those filthy Xeno to shreds.
I
simply hate the thought of laying my life in the hands of a Xeno which has already lied to us and threatens us. Lets hope this portal does not lead us into the core of a star. Would be a quick and easy way for them to get rid of the weapon and us in a blink of an eye."

Seems we are left with only one choice, let us step through and see where it takes us. says Xing, walking towards the portal, ready to step through first if Pyros concurs.

"Necron, what is your name? If we are likely to meet again and if my masters would want to find you, then I can't keep calling you by the name of your race. I will keep my promise, but if this does not lead where you say, I will hunt you."

On the separate squad channel, Pyros contemplates.
"Hmm, tactically it would probably make sense to split the sqauad, half to step into the unknown and half to stay and head back via our planned exit route. Better chance that one will make it home that way. But I will not split us up. We gamble our full strength on one shot, rather than chancing our arm on two and being weaker for both. Let us step through and pray to the Emperor that he is guiding us."

1 person marked this as a favorite.

You will not find me, I will find you. 30 seconds and this facility will be gone with the hollow sun. Then the necron and his escorts back away from the portal giving you all space to enter.

I'm assuming everyone steps through, it's late here, so I'll update tomorrow afternoon with more details.

You step through and emerge on your ship in the special Astartes command center. You are alone.

Mission over. 750xp. Renown to be awarded later as I explained before. 250 bonus xp for returning with a Necron weapon.

The squad emerges from the portal whole and without further incident. However, upon checking the time in their suits they see that 3 days have passed from when they first entered the necron facility.

Alarms are immediately raised on the ship as the ship Vox directs security personnel to your location, warning of intruders.

Immediately Elijah speaks, Where are we Astartes? Is this your ship? Dante takes up s defensive position near an entrance, ready to defend himself and his wounded brother.

Unless you requisitioned a pic recorder you have no other physical evidence beyond the sword. Sorry Tyreon, you were not equipped with one when you awoke. But, both you and Pyros have your own obligations and oaths to suppress information about the necron, so careful what you say and what you allow others to speak of.

"Yes, this is our ship. It has been a while ... Lower your weapons, no one will harm you here, in fact we should have all necessary facilities on board to help your friend to recover quickly."
He quickly walks over to the entrance, stowing his weapons and ready himself to calm every over-eager defender entering the room.
Without turning to their leader, he continues of the encrypted vox link: "Brother Pyrus ... We have shared an oath with you to remain what we saw a secret, but those ... Necrons could become a real danger to humankind. So, what will we tell the captain about what happened? And what will we tell the Inquisition in out next report? What shall we do with these two mechanicus warriors?"

Ultramarine Devastator (Rank 7), Deathwatch Keeper

The journey through the xeno portal is unsettling and unpleasant, far more so than teleportation. The scream of claxons greets Lucian as the Kill-Team arrives, the security alert registering their arrival. Before the armsmen arrive, Lucian weighs into the discussion.

"We have precious little evidence to support what happened. We must relay our story to the Inquisition, and the Inquisition alone. Only the Ordos will have the knowledge and ability to recognise the threats we have uncovered."

I think I requisitioned a pict recorder, which was integrated with the Terminator armour by the Mechanicus when I was putting it on. Also, does that mean all the equipment we left behind at the Mechanicus facility is gone?

if you requisitioned one and actually said you were recording, you have some additional proof. As for the other facility, we will RolePlay to see what became of it, I could answer you now, but I'd rather play it out as I've got planned. If any equipment is lost it'll be replaced. If you lose anything signature based, then I'll refund xp or replace it. Chapter relics aren't replaceable and there are consequences to losing such things. Sorry if that's troubling, it's not the standard mission structure you're used to, but it's quite realistic in my opinion.

On arriving back at their ship, Pyros, scans for xenos tricks before securing his weapons and removing his heavily damaged helmet, his face stoic even as the congealed blood of his wound sticks the helmet to his head.
"Well it would seem that they did at least speak the truth this time, Hmm. Right Brother Ulrich, you were our leader when we left here, get on the internal vox and make contact. They will still come to investigate, but at least we may avoid the waste of human life. Also see if you can raise the Inquisitor, we should talk to them and more specifically Inquisitor Ramseus if possible. Brother Varryl, of course you are right, please arrange for quarantine measures for all of us. However take this immediate time to run any tests you can over the sword. Once decontamination is complete, I will fulfil my promise and take that sword to the nearest forge to destroy it. Elijah, you and your brother are safe here, as Brother Deleos says, this is our ship. Please however hold your tongue for now. What you saw is a highly classified secret and we must speak with the relevant authorities, before we can arrange passage back to your mechanicus brethren. Brothers, as we have returned, the time we have set for me to lead you comes to an end and we will soon pick someone to lead us on. For now, please bear with me until we can have a little longer to talk alone, to decide our next steps and for me to talk to brother Tyreon, for I surmise we may have a shared link. I wish to state that I am proud to have fought beside you and that includes our mechanicus colleagues."

Space Wolves Grey Hunter (Tactical Marine 7)

Ulrich salutes Pyros, then activates his vox unit. He first transmits the Deathwatch ciphers, the speaks with all the authority of an Astartes, <<Black Pearl, this is Brother Ulrich Hammern of the Deathwatch Guard. We have returned to the Astartes command center aboard via teleportation. There is no intrusion. Stand down the alarm.>>

I cannot remember the name Ulrich was operating under in his guise as a black shield. I will use that name in my transmission rather than Ulrich Hammern."

Inquisitor Samson responds to the team by private Vox:

Remain in the command center, quarantine measures are in effect. You have been missing for days, the planet you were on vanished. We were chased out of the system by an Eldar fleet, when we returned for you, the Black Sun and the planet you were on had vanished. That was 3 days ago, where have you been? How can you explain teleporting here while we are in the warp? Additionally, who are the Skitarri who accompany you? Forge master Cyberius and a medical team will be reporting to you shortly. We are enroute back to the watch fortress...Welcome back Astartes, I will amend my reports and inform Inquisitor Zerbe at once of your arrival. I will update once I have additional information. Standby.

Three days? In the warp? The planet and the sun have disappeared? Eldar?!
Deleos checks his suit's chronometer and is taken aback.
He curses under his breath as he opens the encrypted team vox again.
"Foul Xeno trickery - as expected. Anyone able to see a connection between necrons and eldar? It is obvious that our contact has set something big in motion. Brother Pyrus, you should consider to let our Forgemaster and our Librarian have a closer look at the sword before destroying it - maybe they can get a grasp at the powers and weaknesses of their technology - helping us in further encounters - which will surely come... A lot of lives may depend on it.
We all know you as a man of honor, and I shall see your promise fulfilled. Trust me: I was there and noted your promise.
But do not let your word make you become the pawn of a foul Xeno and his selfish plans."

Space Wolves Grey Hunter (Tactical Marine 7)

Ulrich snarls a curse under his breath, then responds to the Inquisitor, <<Inquisitor Samson, we will remain quarantined. It would be best to answer your questions in person. We are standing by.>>

Ultramarine Devastator (Rank 7), Deathwatch Keeper

Lucian listens to the Inquisitor's information with concern. The disappearance of the Black Sun and the planet, coinciding with the appearance of more foul xenos, suggest that there is something of great significance occurring.

"How much information will we share with the Inquisitor?" he asks across the squad's private vox channel. "We are likely to be viewed with great suspicion, and we must ensure that we can evidence anything we tell him."

Blood Angels Assault Marine (6), Chaplain (1) [Wounds 23/23, TB 10, Armor 11/9/8, FP 5/5, Movement:7| 14| 21 | 42 (x2), WS:75| BS:35| ST:60+20(14)| TO:60(12)| AG:60| INT:40| PER:40+20| WP:50| FEL:42]

"For now I would keep the report superficially until we have time to discuss the issue with the watch captain or some really high ranking Inquisitor, for our knowledge can be dangerous: for those unprepared and also for us. My suggestion:

We entered the facility, encountered a squad of Traitor Marines, including a sorcerer which summoned a greater demon. The Inquisitor was killed in the battle due to warp sorcery. After dispatching all foes, we discovered a secret Mechanicus base - therefore our company - and Xenotech ruins underneath their facility. Some unknown xeno device teleported us back here as we tried to push deeper into those ruins Time difference and comm-disconnection were caused by that same device.

No lies for that would be a shame on our honor, just keeping it simple and keeping some aspects a secret until further discussion with our superiors."

Techmarine/Forgemaster Rank 7

"There is much we still do not know. The Elder are known to aid us through their hidden agenda. Much like the Necrons. Perhaps there is a correlation."

Comm to Cyberius:

"Master Cyberius, we have recovered a Xenos weapon for catalog and destruction. The weapon appears to possess some form of nanotech bring the appropriate scanning equipment."

Male Salamander Astartes Tactical marine 4, Dead Station Vigilant 1, 1st Company vet 1

"I can not explain the loss of time, unless it is to cover the distance nor can I explain the xenos' ability to teleport into the Warp. This is troubling and as such we must be on our guard. Between us, the star disappearing seems to fit the xenos' prophecy, it would seem it is a herald bringing all the necron worlds together. Brother Deleos seems to have a good idea, let us go with that for now. The Inquisitor I mentioned, was who I have worked with, he can be trusted and will be able to advise us more. I suggest we push Inquisitor Samson to arrange a meeting with Inquisitor Ramseus. Then we can relay our information to a trusted source and they can decide whether or not to involve or warn anyone else. As for the weapon, if there are brief checks that Brother Varryl or the Forgemaster here can do, then I will allow it, but they must be done by the time we finish quarantine and I can walk to a forge. The sword may indeed be powerful, but when we fought it's previous owner he failed to kill even one of us, as such I do not think it will provide an easy destruction of the enemy and I will not let my honour and the honour of the Salamanders and the Deathwatch be tarnished over something minor. Does that seem fair?"

Pyros motions Brother Tyreon over to one side and opens a private channel.
"Much though it troubles me to admit, my head wound could do with some attention. I think the sensible thing to do, would be to have a VIGILANT brother like yourself take a look at it"
After checking that Brother Tyreon notes the emphasis, Pyros makes a series of gestures with his hands, the dead planet, the lone watcher and the dark pattern.

I couldn't find anything in 'The Outer Reach'. I liked this idea better than a funny handshake if that is ok?

To his brother's words he concurs: We should keep the details to ourselves and let our highest superiors decide whom to share the information with. If you have contacts knowledgeable of these factions, then you should attempt to contact them. I plan to spend more time with the book recovered from Father Zyas. It had mention of this new Chaos God. Before I paid it little mind, but now I see it deserves more attention. I shall forgo all else during our return trip. Hopefully I can discover something of importance that can aid in our next course of action. As for the weapon, even though that mindless machine was not able to fell a single brother, he was only one, and he critically wounded some of us. The Necron we communicated with seemed intelligent and his escorts unfrenzied. I am sure they would prove more formidable in battle. None the less, that weapon is the only proof we have of their existence and its an example of their weaponry that we can not hastily discard. I must insist that we retain it for study and analysis. Should that Necron "find" you brother Pyros, you do not stand alone. You said what you must for the good of man kind and the Xenos are honorless. Do not let them manipulate you into doing their bidding once more. We must decide for ourselves, free of xenos influence. Your DUTY supersedes any Oath you made under duress.

Deleos nods to the Salamander and turns towards the killteam. He unlocks his skull helmet, showing his angelic face to the astartes and the mechanicus agents. As he already was about to start his prayer, Xings transmission comes through.
Deleos face - you all know its features from countless depictions of Sanguinius - seems to get clouded as he speaks up.
"Pyrus V'estian, he might be right. I do not request that you forgoe your word - despite the fact that it was given to a treasonous Xeno and thus will never leave a dark spot on your honor even if broken. But I heard your promise and did not speak up against it, so you also spoke that promise for me - thus you gave your word before my office. And such a promise is binding by death.
But what is our primary duty, Son of Vulkan? To defend humankind. This duty requests anything from us - ultimately our lives!"

His voice is swelling, becoming the tone of absolute dedication you all associate with Chaplains - or what gets close to that in your chapters.
"Bow your heads in reference of those that vanished together with the planet in a blink of an eye for they are now with the Emperor - awaiting the end times upon which they will return at his side.
Captain Lysander, Flight Sargent Usamba, Private Ekzel - Crew of Thunderhawk Storming Lighting.
Magos Klute, Lady Xhenek, Magis Biologis Terek which last work is just now beating in my chest, and all those souls doing the work of the Omnissiah and the Emperor at that facility.
They all gave their lives in order to achieve a hopeful future for mankind. We survivors are responsible that their sacrifice was not given in vain.
Thus, Brother Pyrus, you should think long about when to fulfill your promise. I expect you to fulfill your promise and I even will ensure it is fulfilled if you fall before fulfilling it, you have my word on it. But Brother Xing is also right. Studying its secrets might save thousands of soldiers lives or might even affect the whole of mankind if those Xenos are really about to awaken and finally turns out to be an enemy of mankind."

Forgemaster Cyberius and a team of medical servitors enter the command center, followed up shortly by Inquisitor Samson. The forgemaster and Inquisitor are wearing what appear to be void suits, part of quarantine protocol.

We must remove your armor and initiate full medical exams of every member of your squad, including the Skitarri. says Samson as a flurry of Servo skulls and servitors begin to scan and assist members in removing their armor. Forgemaster Cyberius takes great care in the rituals and rights in removing armor and securing weapons. He doesn't pay much attention to the necron sword peculiarly. He does however seem excited by the Ancient Suit of armor worn by Vartas, and spends additional time caring for it and burning incense. He is clearly a man more concerned with his brothers than xenos tech.

Samson continues to address the squad. All surveillence and security measure have been disabled, you may speak freely here. Cyberius can be trusted, he knows how you came to be aboard my ship and his service to the Deathwatch is longer than any of yours by a century... What happened on that planet? Where did it go? Did you learn more of the anomaly?

After waiting for replies and in response to anyone who might asked what happened to the Black Pearl in Orbit, Samson explains:

We were ambushed by a small Eldar Fleet, the anomaly interfering with our sensors. We had no choice but to try and lead them away from you and try to return when we could. We fought them off and eventually were able to make our way back, but when we were within range, the Black Sun and the planet had vanished. As did the Eldar. With no sign of you we began our journey to Watch Fortress Erioch. The data we collected needs to be analyzed. Unfortunately our engines were damaged in the conflict, but we are working to repair them to full capacity.

Currently we are in warp transit and will arrive in 3 weeks according to my Navigators. We are trying to rendezvous with our reinforcements as escort, hopefully we will not encounter the Eldar again until then.

After everyone has removed armor and Cyberius is satisfied the machine spirits are pacified, he turns his attention to the Xenos sword.

I do not recognize this weapons origin, it is most intriguing. Before he can more closely inspect it though, the weapon powers up and a faint emerald green glow lightens in places. Whatever caused it to shut down has faded and as Cyberius is inspecting it, he presses the edges to closely, it slides through his armor like butter and servers a few fingers. He growls in anger as servitors rush to attend to him. He swats them away, the cut not drawing blood, merely severing mechanical flesh. It cut through my Artificer armor like it was not even there...What Foul Xenos did you recover this from?

At some point Samson turns his attention to the Tyreon. Welcome aboard the Black Pearl, I am Inquisitor Samson. Who might you be and where did you come from?

Ultramarine Devastator (Rank 7), Deathwatch Keeper

Lucian submits to the examination by the Inquisitor and the Forgemaster. As Cyberius begins his examination of the armour Lucian wears, he speaks up. "Forgemaster, please take the utmost care of this precious relic. I do not wish to tell you your duty, but this armour is more than just plates and servos to me and my Chapter. I would like it returned to Macragge if at all possible, that those more worthy of it than I could wear it."

In response to Vartas the Forge master replies: That is not for you and I to decide, though I will pass along your request. Such matters are up to the Watch Commander, though as you know it could be sometime before it could be returned to Macragge. There are few men worthy of such a relic, but I believe you shall be in time. I shall restore it to its pristine condition for I have no suitable replacement for you currently. Should the need arise during our return, know it will be ready for you. These fine weapons are magnificent, where did you come across such ancient relics on that planet? A shame it was lost to whatever foul xenos sorcery that befell it.

We located the entrance to a secret Mechanicus facility where we were ambushed and tricked by Chaos forces. Inquisitor Ahzammi was lost in the battle. Thousand Sons sorceres summoned a Daemon Prince and we dealt with them and the soul-less Rubric Marines aiding them. After entering the Mechanicus Facility, a Magos Klute aided us and revealed a secret Xenos facility that we explored. We recovered this artifact and brother Tyreon who was in stasis. Shortly after some unknown device teleported us here, though how we lost 3 days is beyond my knowledge.

GM, I had a FB Lore roll that you missed.

Not much in the mood for talking Xing answers the questions as straight forward as possible and submits to any exams. Not critically wounded he reluctantly gives up his armor for the time being, not wanting to rouse suspicions further. He had work and reading to do, none of which could be accomplished here, amongst so many people.

Deleos stays quiet as the Inquisitor, the Forge Master and his helpers enter the room. If he is asked if he was wounded he waves off and replies: "Not even a scratch. See to Pyrus."
He stayed at the side of the Salamander - knowing that he the decisions will cause him great moral trouble and he might need his Chaplain to talk things over again.

Upon Xing's explanations he nods several times.

"I am Apothecary-Sergeant Tyreon of the Red Scorpions, standing vigil under the Apocryphon Oath sworn before my Chapter Master and the representatives of the Ordo Xenos. The purity of my gene-flesh, blessed gift from the Emperor, is all the testimony required to validate my words."

"Here. Take a sample." Tyreon offers his left arm.

"My thanks Forgemaster. I will pay the appropriate penance for the loss of my equipment before we can return to the Watch Fortress and be reequipped by the armourium there," Lucian replies to Cyberius. "As for the weapons, the heavy bolter is mine - it was integrated with the suit by the Mechanicus. The melta is one of the suit's original weapons, and is likely a relic in it's own right."

Tyreon looks at this Samson intently.

Brother Xing knows time and space are twisted and nonlinear on the warp, a number of possible explanations exist, but you can't put your finger on a particular. While known teleportation technology could not have placed you aboard a ship at warp, the Necron are far more advanced and you have only seen but a hint of their true capabilities.

Brothers Pyros is torn between his Path and duties, as is the squad, divided in their opinion. Regardless the kill team stands ready together to deal with any possible consequences.

The Inquisitor is a beacon of pureness and light, his motives and devotion are to mankind and the mission at hand, and the kill team knows the extent of his power and discretion since being brought aboard his ship. After some small talk and further exams the kill team is cleared of any contamination and given leave to spend the remainder of the trip as they wish. The Inquisitor is not your superior and knows he was more an escort and less an authority over you. He respects the chain of command and expects you to as well.

Forge master Cyberius and his servitors retreat to the armory and suggest that the critically wounded rest and recover. Things returned as they were while you were on route to the station with previous orders and cover identities remaining.

You have a few weeks to spend as you like doing whatever you need spiritually or physically. Any messages you need to send or test you want to make can be made. You are enroute back to the watch fortress. Everyone please post something so we can move forward feel free to RolePlay anything before you were dismissed if you missed something. After everyone replies and I deal with your rolls, if necessary, then I'll update and we'll move forward.
