1 person marked this as a favorite.

A combination of bandages, potion soaked poultices, and desperate inspiration seem to allow Mead to stabilize the two militiamen, though they remain on the cusp of death. Meanwhile, Darius boxes the mutant spidergobber in the corner as Crow wails on its master, Sebastian with his enormous magic hammer. Sebastian takes a crushing blow to his chest, and the froth of blood on his lips gives light to his deep injury. In retaliation, Sebastian swings his baton while chanting mystic words under his breath. Crow is hit a glancing blow, but is shocked when electricity flows from the baton into his arm, leaving behind a scorch mark and a tingling sensation. Sebastian rolls up onto the bar while releasing his spell, surrounding him with seemingly real identical images, masking his true position. "Everything was going so well until you meddling kids showed up! Khorne take you, now the rest of the Mill will suffer as well!"

The dwarf Gristle, face grim steps in and swings his warhammer at the spidergobber, but its many arms easily fend off the blows. In retaliation, the spidergobber opens its maw wide and the horrid face within cries out in despair! The terrible wailing makes everyone wince, shattering a few bottle behind the bar, and the creature flails about with its claws and teeth.

Crow hits Sebatsian once (critical) for 9 wounds.

Considering that my defense is apparently 13+5, 18, the chances I can get my result from 7 up to even that minimal amount are so low that I pass. I take the hit.

Juniper, her focus still on the two almost dead men, her voice sharp, dismissive, "Will you please just shut up, I'm trying to clean up your mess."

Without really looking, she loosens the chakram from her belt and throws it at the screaming man.

Combat:
If she can do so without losing the twin (if she can't, she'll continue to work on them instead) pull the chakram (half-action, move) and throw (half-action, attack).

Crow snarls back, "The Mill will still be here as your Master is using your guts fer garters you doddering, decrepit, senile old fool. Your black magic has corrupted your soul an eatin holes in your brain."

combat2:

Crow swings across his multiple opponents knees, then follows up with a crushing blow (hopefully) down into one of them (with the assumption that if he misses, his blow will do damage to the structure that Sebastian is standing on, making footing suspect).

Mead throws a chakram at Shaw offhand and misses, the weapon shearing clean through a glass bottle of spirits on the shelf and thunking into the wooden wall behind. Darius attacks the Spider Gobber eliciting a scream of rage. Crow follows up with a glancing blow to the horror, following through barely missing Shaw, the force hammer slamming into the bar. Shaw fights to keep his balance and his incantation, neatly salvaging his spell. Gristle and Marco flail at the Spider Gobber in vain, and when they pause for breath, the beast erupts into a burst of fang and claw. A bite from the huge maw clamps onto Darius, and then the Spider Gobber shakes him like a piece of carrion until the guardsman breaks free. From behind the teeth Darius can hear the little twisted face cursing him in a wet, gurgling voice. One of its claws digs into Crows armor spinning him about and taking the wind out of him, while the other claw hits Gristle squarely in the chest. The grizzled dwarf looks down at the gaping hole in his chest with a surprised look, falling down with a clatter of armor and weapons, lifes blood gushing out of a wound so deep and broad his very organs are laid bare. Shaw grins with approval, hopping down behind the bar and releasing his spell with a flourish. With a sound like a huge door slamming shut, an enormous striped wolf crashes into reality with wisps of eldritch energy leaking off its fur. Its basso growl is chilling as it shakes its head, orienting itself on the party. Shaw calls out a few words of power and gestures with his baton and mace, firing rays of fire at the group, luckily hitting only one. Mead is raked by the fire, scorching a smoking line across her clothing.
