Admiral Ackbar looks up from his seat and abruptly says, "You just saved my life and possibly the Rebellion and I dont know anything but your names. Tell me your stories. Why are you part of the Rebellion? Do you all know my story?"
Feel free to tell everyone who you are and what drives you while we are working on character updates.
DM Xyro
Ackbar begins with a rub of the head, ”I was born on Dac and became excited about science and the sea and later pushed for the Mon Calamari people to begin their space exploration. I gained prominence as the Captain of the Mon Calamari guard and as chief military advisor to King Kolina and his son the prince.”
He pauses and continues starting to stare blankly, ”The civil war on Dac was a sad time in my life and I lost my king. After being imprisoned we were able to free ourselves and right the war and instill Kolina’s son as the new king of Dac.”
Ackbar shakes off the blankness and turns to look Kara in the eyes, ”That is when the New Order came and the Empire. At first it seemed a grand idea, the re-establishment of law and justice, but shortly after the Imperial warships arrived to suppress us.”
With a nod to Kara and a glance around at the other non-humans, he continues, ” I am sure you are fully aware of the human centrism of the Empire. Well the Mon Cal’s scientific and cultural achievements did not fit this narrative. Fight though we did Dac was taken and my people, all people on Dac, were forced into slavery. I myself had it easier than others, serving as Grand Moff Tarkin’s valet. But that was their mistake; they assumed my compliance was my surrender. The alliance almost captured Tarkin at Eriadu but freed me instead. After divulging all the secrets I had learned during my bondage, I was given the rank of Commander. That is why I am here, to fight the evil that has taken over.”
”The rest you know, the battle of Turkana, the Calamarian Revolt, bombing and near capture of Takin at Heurkea, the Shantipole project, the battle of Yavin.”
Turing again to Kara, ”A lot of imperials have left the empire to join us, what drove you from them? ”
Lt. Kara Savyn
Oh. Well...I..." Kara stammers, looking more than a bit uncomfortable. "It's personal...sir." She says, finally, her face a mask of frustration and anger.
Arannis Crane
"You certainly seem to have led an interesting life so far, Admiral" Arannis remarks conversationally, changing the subject a little after noticing Kara's discomfort. The fact that he is impressed does show through his casual tone. "I do not believe I have ever been on Dac myself, though the way you speak of how things are on your homeworld, I am not sure I would like to." Knowing how that must sound, he quickly adds with an apologetic sort of half-smile, "Slavery does not agree with me."
Juviest Vood
Juviest blinks swiftly twice, apparently dozed off. "So you're kind of a big deal, Admiral. And you've earned it. It's going to be good chat, I'm guessing." As soon as the silence falls on the ship once more, he decides it'd be a good idea to share his story. Which, apparent by his age, is quite the long one.
"Now, you see, I was born nearly six decades ago on Sullust. If you haven't been there, you should go and visit. It's not too bad a place. My old man was a foreman at a warehouse, working for the SoroSuub Corporation, before they became sellouts to the Empire." He looks at Kara as if to say something, then he continues talking in a quick, raspy voice. "So, me and my two brothers, both older, we were working in a warehouse ever since we were 15. Veem, the older one, was the lucky one who got to do the accounting and the mental work. Me and Joosem were just laborers. Now, I don't know how familiar you all are with good honest labour those days, but things stood like this. Work for about 10 years, and you get a promotion, a thousand credits more a year, and a hell of a lot more responsibilities. Until you die. So, one day, when I got paid, and I didn't get paid much, I went, bought a pistol, the cheapest one I could get, and applied for a bounty hunter's licence. Took me my entire wage, both of them together. Best part is, I didn't even touch the damn thing for months.", he mutters, clearly in memory lane. "But one day, I decided to finally go and do something about it. Picked up a bounty, Reem Daas, still remember the name, some guy who didn't pay his dues to one of the banks, and went to his house. He opens the door, and sees me sitting there, nervous as hell. I thought he was going to shoot me at any time. Best part is, there was no problem with that job. The guy realized it was getting serious and went straight in court, to get the whole thing sorted. I got paid maybe a third of the money I'd have gotten in the warehouse, but I got the taste of it. The adrenaline, excitement, all." The story being anti-climactic, he then taps his pistol and keeps going.
"I didn't get to shoot my pistol until about half a year later and 20-odd bounties. It was this guy, tax evasion, Nius something. He thought that he'd be fine, because he was somewhat high in the corporation. Didn't have that much pull those days. So I go to this really high class place, he's sitting there with two twi'leks and having a drink. Obviously, he wouldn't want to embarrass himself in front of the whole place, so he pulls out a small holdout pistol, the really s!%* things. Thing is, he's obviously bad at it, and drunk as well, and he lets go of the thing and it hits me on the head, as I'm pulling mine out. I shot him in the thigh, forget to turn on the stun mode, and the guy lets out this high-pitched scream. So I'm obviously panicking as well, trying to hide it badly... Anyway, I'm boring you right now..." Juviest sighs again and looks at the distance.
"Well, as good things come to those who wait, I started getting better and better. Thing is, I didn't want to take no kill orders, since those are just... dirty most of the time. And, turns out, when I'm not panicking, I'm actually quite decent a shot. It's all the experience. I got me a ship about a year later, and then the warrants kept coming and coming. Nobody expects a Sullustan to pull out a pistol the size of a cannon and try to take you in. I began specializing in taking in large targets, Trandoshans, Wookies, Aqualish, even this crazy Hutt once." He smiles at his memories, and then his face dims down, clearly reaching an unpleasant area on memory lane.
"I was just going on that Twi'lek planet, Ryloth. Someone killed their employer, and ran there to hide. So what happens is, I find the place the bastard was hiding, small village, no more than several hundred people. And, one morning I'm waking up, having my kafa, and this massive explosion happens outside my window, blowing up the comm array. This horde of bastards appear, taking in people alive, for the slave trade.", he grunts unhappily. "You see, I am all for an open market. The Empire and their embargos ruin the lives of lots of people on backward planets. Nothing to do, nobody supplies them. Seen towns run dry, people offering me their remaining savings, which can barely get me drunk at a place on Coruscant, to get on my ship, and I cram it up completely, and try to send someone back to pick up the rest. A$~+%%&s." He looks again at the audience, probably eager to hear about the slave ship, and not about the market strategies of the Empire. "Right, the slave ship. I would've simply cut my losses and ran, inform the Republic, and let somebody else handle it, but I was short on credits, and these bastards decided to land just outside the place my target was, and stole him." He grins.
"So, what happens is, I begin walking slowly on the streets, trying to be quiet, but a Sullustan on Ryloth sticks out like a sore scarn. What happens is, rather than asking me what my business was, one of the greedy bastards calls his buddies over, and attempts to bully me into unlocking my ship for him so that he can take it. Obviously, that's just bad business, so I ventilate his head, and shoot down his three pals before they can draw their guns. But problem is, it was a big frigate, had about 40-odd folk on it. What happens is, they try to first find me and kill me, which doesn't bode well for them. I've cased the place for the two days I've been there, they haven't. Two good ambushes after, I've halved their number, and I thought they'll simply give up, taking so many casualties, but I hear this voice on one of the dead guys' radio, this screeching witch shouting for them to find me. Well, they tried once more, seven or eight, got me good, but they didn't get to toast it. I'm sitting there, juiced up to the maximum on stimpacs, and I hear her calling me that there's captives, and she's going to kill them if I don't surrender. Thought I was a defender of town or whatnot." Juviest continues looking, clearly enjoying the fact that everyone's listening to his story of how things were done back in the day.
"So, I clearly didn't want her to start killing the hostages, as much as I didn't really care. So I show up, hiding behind a wall and tell her to surrender. She thinks I'm bluffing, so I shoot her two bodyguards. Heavy armored guys, but dumb enough not to wear a helmet. And then I see, she's holding my bounty, the one that's a dead or alive one, with a gun to his head. Oh, the irony. I shout out, see if I care, and she's confused again, lets me pop out three more guys before they're done thinking. All she has now is a guy that's probably a pilot or something and half a dozen guys that smell like s@#@ from where I am, 50 odd meters away, behind a barrel. What she does is, takes her damn gun, shoots my bounty in the head and begins shouting orders for the others to focus on the captives. You see, the guys weren't really keen on paying attention to shooting the twi-leks, when I'm shooting them, so they start shooting towards me. There sure was a lot of shooting. What happened was, they simply fired a couple of bolts, and then made run for the ship. I was quite pissed off at the time, as I'm sure you can understand, so I decided to try and drop the boss lady." He taps his pistols once more. "I was packing them two at the time, still haven't failed me. They can drop a charging rancor, if you're a decent shot. So I fire one at the Zabrak as she's closing the doors and taking off, and she tries to block it with her forearm. Blew the whole arm off, from right above the elbow." He grins at the thought and begins tapping his vest for cigars, disappointed he has none, and probably wouldn't be allowed to smoke inside anyway. "So, I go and pick up my bounty, and head to the ship, left the others to help themselves. Called the authorities as well, which probably was a mistake at this point. Turns out, the slaver had connections and all, and the bounty hunter community ain't exactly thriving with Sullustans, so she apparently connected two and two. About half a year later, I'm taking a wookiee down on Coruscant. It was my last bounty ever. Alive only, as usual. Never did take any Kill ones, and I always tried to delived the DoA ones alive.", he says, his mood darkening. "The poor sob killed someone for declining his duel offer. Which, if you know a wookiee, there are damn good reasons on both sides. Leads me on a merry chase, all across the lower markets, and I manage to catch him in the back. Stop for a smoke, and I see how he's shot in the back. Then turns out, someone began an investigation in the target, saying someone set up the wookiee to assassinate him, and I covered the tracks. Whole lot of dewback. They took my license, nobody gave me the chance to appeal. What a glorious end to a four decade career, right." He nods again, clearly seeing the others getting rather impatient.
After the long, long story, Juviest looks at the Admiral.
"How I joined the Rebellion? Hah! I don't even know if I did, but who knows these days. I had no clue what to do. Sold my ship, went to see my folks. They were literally doing the same thing they were doing 40 years ago. Crazy. Sold my ship, drank the money. Had a bit left for a small holiday. After I'm back, I'm sitting in my bar on Coruscant, and I see this guy approaching me. I was about to shoot him if he moved any closer. Turns out, he was part of the Rebellion. Some old pal at the bounty hunter's office gave him a tip I'd be looking for some work. Pays to know people, eh. Arranged for some old debts to be paid. Left me just enough to pay for a crate of whiskey and a box of cigars. Which are all gone by now. So, I guess I'm stuck with you younglings, looking after you.", he finishes, grinning at the rest, Arannis and Djebelle in particular.
I did get a bit carried away with the story, but I'm guessing you all know how it feels when you get in the mood. I can TL:DR for you if you want.
Thrask the Trandoshan
Thrask listens as he pulls odds and ends out of the box looking a bit confused by most of the parts before tossing it onto the floor for the others to look through.
Chance there is parts for a balanced hilt: 1d100 ⇒ 45
He didn't see the kind of parts he needed for his gear. He looked at the others "I'll be kind and share these parts. Considering I'll need you all in top shape to help keep me alive. As far as there being a story to my past. I suppose that depends on how much you know about my race. For one, we believe in the Goddess the Scorekeeper. She is the one who guides our blades as we quest for points to earn our place in the afterlife." he started as he leaned back and closed his eyes.
"You could call me a Zealous believer and I search for my place in this galaxy to die but as I do so I test myself against bigger and more dangerous things as the trials she blesses me with comes along. I have faced many foes through my life from the more savory foes like the Wookie I put down unarmed against his bowcaster and Rykk blade. I won the day and that's where my first blade came from, the other was a trophy I took off of a fellow bounty hunter who ruined my hunt of a Nexu. I was in the middle of facing it down one on one, two arrows had taken care of one of his eyes and he had made the mistake of biting my leg instead of my arms. I was about to get my blade around his throat by sacrificing my leg when the bastard shot him with a sniper rifle expecting me to bleed out from my wound. I hunted him for a week growing back the shreds of muscle that were torn as the week went by, I finally got the drop on him from a tree and my blade found his neck like it should have found the neck of the Nexu. His blade became mine as well as the points he stole from me." he said as ran his finger over the blade recalling the tale.
"It was then that I discovered just how much more challenging and...delicious it was to hunt others, I applied for my license to hunt sentient life and as I grew in experience I got wind of a bounty that seemed to tempting to let go, I hunted the poor little bastard for days. He barely knew I was there but lucky for him, he was squirrely enough to manage to evade my blades long enough to offer me a more enticing deal. He turned out to be a Republic Operative who had been found out and he said that the money would be more, the challenge would be greater, and the work would earn me a reputation that would earn me favoritism in the cantinas with the local..." he said the pause elongating the last word's temptation to him "flavors." he said licking his lips.
He looked at the others "It has been far more interesting and enjoyable working for the Rebellion. Do not worry that I will turn on you and take your heads in for the bounties. There is no points to be earned by using such tasteless tactics."
Djebelle Torr
Djebelle sighs, before grinning irrepressibly. "Well, I could say it just kinda happened - ending up on the wrong side of the Empire wasn't part of my big plan - but truthfully? It was the Force that led me here. Myself, I'd prefer riches and fame and comfort, but seems I didn't get asked, you know? I was happy minding my own business, but the Empire seems to just get in the way of that. Maybe it's time I did something about it."
She sighs again, more genuinely. "Besides, I have to do something about it. You've no idea what an upset the destruction of Alderaan caused. Can't let that happen again." She shudders convulsively, her eyes clouded with bad memories. "Couldn't use my powers for days afterward - believe me, it's worse than missing an arm..."
She bites her lip, aware she's said more than she intended - but then grins again. "What the hell - you guys knew already, right?" She draws a lock of her purple hair in between her fingers and nibbles on it, thoughtfully, watching the others to see how they respond.
Arannis Crane
"Well, I had my suspicions," Rann simply says with a shrug, "but your conversation with Salin left little room for doubt. You were very convincing indeed. Perhaps a little too convincing, yes?"
He then turns to the Chiss soldier. "Kara, did you know?" The ex-Imperial has known Djebelle the longest out of those present, or so he believes. He is curious to see if the young woman trusted Kara enough to tell her her secret.
Djebelle, you may want to change your experience to 255/255 in your character profile so as to avoid any confusion the next time we gain XP. :-)
Lt. Kara Savyn
Kara leans back against the bulkhead of the life boat, arms folded in front of her, legs crossed at the ankles, head down on her chest. She listens to each person in turn, but says nothing. When Rann asks his question, she looks up.
"Nope."
Then she puts her head down again.
Juviest Vood
Juviest lifts his gaze back towards the group, stopping his reminiscence. A Jedi? Here? The bounties have reached over half a million. Call Salkie, he'll be into it, split half and half... Come on, Vood, she's just a girl. And you don't need half a million. Everyone knows what happens after you give a jedi in. Kill on sight would be more merciful... Well, here's hoping you can't read my mind, kid. Purple dewbacks.
The Sullustan looks on Djebelle with interest, saying, "Powers? Can you read minds? Toss lightning around? Choke people from a distance?", sounding more interested than scared.
Djebelle Torr
Djebelle shivers, drawing her arms around herself. "Don't read minds. Too much in there... too much. Found that out the hard way - and ended up being chased out of a star system!" She gives a small smile. "Let's just say I'm good with people. I've always known how to be persuasive, figured it was just a gift."
Her mood darkens, slightly, and she drops her face forward, hiding her expression behind a curtain of purple hair. "Then I met someone else. Benjamon. He could do the same things - but he didn't want to know about it. Turned me on, then turned me in - or tried to. I ran. Went looking for information, to find out what I was. Spent 3 years. Found out, too. Then they destroyed Alderaan, and I realised it was time to stop looking. Do something. Not sure what, though."
She shivers again, before looking at Juviest - and Kara. "Can't help what I am. Didn't ask for it." Her voice is small, like her form, curled up hugging her knees.
Arannis Crane
"Lightning and using the Force to kill from afar," Arannis interjects, "are... tricks no Jedi would use, much less a young woman who discovered what she can do more or less on her own."
"The Jedi are gone, Juviest," he continues, stressing the words. "But Force-users are still being born, quite possibly every day. It is just that many never find out, I supppose. While others... Well, bounty hunters and their ilk get to them."
Moving a little closer to Djebelle, he adds with a shrug, "Although some times such a course of action proves to be unwise. For the bounty hunter. Or so I have heard."
"Nothing to be ashamed of, Djebelle," he says to the girl, putting a hand on her shoulder. "It is, after all, quite the ability, quite the gift."
Lt. Kara Savyn
Kara looks up, giving Juviest a dark look. "You talk too much." She throws a quick glance at Djebelle, to see Rann caring for her.
"This would be a good time to stop." she warns the Sullustan.
Juviest Vood
Juviest raises his hands defensively in the air at the rest of the group. "Alright, alright. I was just curious, that's all. Those are the only Jedi powers I've heard of colleagues talking about. Sorry if it's hard for you to talk about it, kid. Not going to ask, if it makes you uncomfortable." The Sullustan then turns to Arannis and puts on a rare smile. "To be fair, it's only about 90% of bounty hunters that give the rest of us a bad name. Bloodthirsty people like Bossk and Fett. I used to bring in criminals and fugitives. And only in alive. Never took a Jedi bounty.", he says, defending the profession. "Though, I do agree, it's quite the gift. Don't have to worry about me."
Force, the imperial has a chip on her shoulder the size of a star destroyer..., giving the LT an indifferent stare. After a small period of uneasy silence, he scratches his stubble, letting out a strange sound, then says, "Well. That's uncomfortable." Pulling out a deck of cards from his coat pocket, he draws attention to it, and says, "We don't know how long we're going to be here. Anyone wants to play pazaak? No gambling, though.", looking at volunteers.
DM Xyro
Looking around the cabin, Pollard has a grin on his face from watching the proceeding conversations.
Ackbar gives him and unhappy look and begins to speak, "There are many different people who make up the Rebellion and they all have as many reasons why they are involved. If I have learned one thing it is ..."
As you await to Ackbar's wisdom, the life boat shudders and becomes caught fast, as though caught in the jaws of some great power vise. Ominous sounds echo through the craft. Then the sounds stop.
"... always be prepared for the unexpected."
DM Xyro
[Dice=Chance there is parts for a balanced hilt]1d100
bummer, for clarity on the next rolls we will say the roll needs to 1-50 for 50%, 1-25 for 25% and 1-10 for 10%.
Juviest Vood
Juviest quickly shoves the cards back in his pocket, and stands up. "Someone know what the hell that was?", he says, putting his hands on his holsters. "CorSec, pass me that bag while you're at it."
Overcharge Valve, 10%: 1d100 ⇒ 94
Set Trigger, 50%: 1d100 ⇒ 6 Yoink.
Immediatelly locating a suitable tools to play around with his blasters' trigger mechanisms, Juviest grins. "Lucky me. Alright, back to back, everyone cover a 90 degree angle.", he says, pointing towards Pollard, Kara and Jospi. He draws his blasters, sets them to stun and holsters them back in. Better than blasting a hole in this place.
Djebelle Torr
Djebelle nods at Rann's kindness, but moves away - politely - from his touch on her shoulder.
Djebelle's knowledge of her Force powers was triggered - in part - by contact with a fellow Force-sensitive; to some extent, her memories are transmitted still by touch, which is why she avoids it. Rann would certainly get a strong sense of love, loss and anger; the extent to which the door swings the other way and gives Djebelle insight into his memories is up to you.
She gives Juviest a warm smile "It's OK to be curious, more than OK - I was, when I found out no one else could do what I can! But don't call me a Jedi, they were buncha losers far as I'm concerned!" She looks severe as she says this, and would say more - but the shuddering of the life boat cuts her off mid-speech.
"I have a bad feeling about this..." She watches nervously as Kara springs to her feet. "Let me try and talk us through anything before you open fire on the whole universe, hmm, please, hon?"
DM Xyro
[dice=Overcharge Valve, 10%]1d100
[dice=Set Trigger, 50%]1d100 Yoink.Immediately locating a suitable tools to play around with his blasters' trigger mechanisms,
As I mentioned several times, there are no suitable tools on this life boat. Also your character page has your weapon damage at 12 now instead of 11, how did this go up? Even if set trigger was applied it would only add 1 damage for the first combat check per encounter. Also as I mentioned several times, to install the mod would still require a hard mechanics check. You did however find the parts to do the mod for free when the time comes.
Juviest Vood
Perhaps I wasn't clear. He notices the tools, but doesn't apply it, because of the lack of, well, workbench. I noticed that I had failed to apply the damage from the second mod. It's 8 base, 1 from Actuating Module, 2 from the two +1 damage mods and 1 from Jury Rigged.
Arannis Crane
It may be a bit much, but Rann was unprepared for that and, truth be told, may be a bit out of practice at concealing his feelings from another Force-user. :-)
Arannis' eyes widen for a brief moment as the young woman pulls away, but he quickly composes himself, his other reaction being a mere "Hmm..." And then the life boat starts shaking and it appears he does not have the luxury to dwell on it further, at least at this particular moment.
Following Kara's example, his light blaster pistol is out of its holster and in his grasp quickly enough. "Now what? You know, next time I want to leave a planet, I will avoid doing so by finding a seat on a random ship through gambling."
DM Xyro

Pollard gets up and moves toward the door, hand on his blaster. The noises which had stopped start again as it sounds as if something or someone is attempting to open the hatch to the life boat.
since we started a new session the destiny pool has changed (see above in my profile bar). You may really want to use this in the upcoming session.
DM Xyro
??? Last I checked the Destiny Pool was 6 light/1 dark - what happened?!
every session it is re-rolled. The stop between the escape and whatever is starting now is a new session.
DM Xyro
With a click the hatch slowly begins to open, the light from outside the door making everyone on board squint. As the door becomes fully open you see an enormous docking bay.
As your eyes become accustomed to the light, 2 other life boats which look just like the one you are in become apparent in the bay. Verpine are skittering around at a hurried pace. That is when you see the distinctive architecture of a Verpine ship all throughout the bay. It appears you have been rescued.
Lt. Kara Savyn
...appears???
Kara slowly holsters her heavy blaster pistol, never really taking her hand from the butt of the weapon. She looks back at Admiral Ackbar.
"Sir?"
Djebelle Torr
Getting up quickly (she's not good with enclosed spaces), Djebelle almost runs to the opening and looks out. "Oh, well that's a relief, looks like we've found safety, right guys?" She smiles happily at the prospect.
Juviest Vood
Our Verpine wasn't worried. Could be because of that. Or something worse. Hell.
Juviest continues keeping his hands, staring the forward most Verpine in the eyes. Pull a blaster and you're dead. "So. Did I miss somebody mentioning that we're going to be rescued by this ship? Don't want to say that I'm hard of hearing, but I miss things every now and again...", he says to the group, small wrinkle appearing at the side of his mouth.
Thrask the Trandoshan
Thrask snarled when he saw the Verpines. "Of all the ships I have to land on...I land on the one that tempts me the most. This is like putting salt in front of an Arconan." he said looking quite annoyed. He shook his head and stepped out slowly onto the deck to see how the situation would play out. If there was a trap better him get hit by it then his contract.
DM Xyro
From across the bay a Verpine strides over to meet your group. "Please follow me," he says in halting Basic. He leads your group through several crowded corridors to the bridge. The command chair spins around and another, older, Verpine considers you and your companions.
Ackbar steps forward and says, "It is good to see you again, Speaker Jurfel."
The Verpine nods, "Mine is the pleasure Commander Ackbar. But danger threatens the hive and we must act quickly."
"What is the danger old friend?" replies Ackbar.
Jurfel continues, "One hour ago, the Empire broadcast a sub-space message on all frequencies, ordering the Verpine to submit or die. The hive has rejected the Empire's ultimatum and has decided to actively join the Alliance. The situation is grim, however. Imperial stormtroopers have captured Research Station Shantipole and, with it, the two prototype two-man B-wings. Our remote sensors reveal that a large number of capital ships have moved into position around our asteroid field. TIE fighters are sweeping the area in regular patterns. We are massing our own fleet in an attempt to gather the hive for escape."
Jurfel calls up a holo-image showing the positions of the Empire's capital ships and the entire asteroid field and Ackbar studies the image intently.
Juviest Vood
Juviest sighs. "I'm guessing you need people to go and get the two prototype B-Wings? That's what we were here for, correct?", he looks at the two high-ranking officers. "We'd need a ship to get there, I'm guessing, and I can volunteer to get them. I think CorSec here can fly the other one, being a Corellian and all, and we got a decent team." He looks at the others, "That is, if they're willing to do this. Don't mean to boss anyone around."
Lt. Kara Savyn
'...no sweat. sneak through a naval cordon, infiltrate a base crammed with stormtroopers, fly out two top secret rebel fighter. no worries...'
Kara says nothing, but looks to Admiral Ackbar.
Thrask the Trandoshan
Thrask listens in on the situation at hand. It didn't sound like things would be easy. There was almost no way they were gonna be able to sneak into this research station. Only two of their ranks were even human, let almost whether they had gear to infiltrate with. He pondered about this for a bit.
Thinking certainly wasn't his strong suit, he was far better at living in the now then thinking ahead. His claws scratched at his scales as he tried to think of how they might be able to manage this.
He looked at the Verpine "What's the situation at the Research station...what's the personnel of the station like, do we have uniforms for the station or possibly stormtrooper armor from any downed enemies?" he asked trying to see if there might be a way to do this.
DM Xyro
Ackbar looks around after studying the holo-image, "Those capital ships have formed a blockade, effectively cutting off our avenue of escape. The TIEs are engaged in a systematic search that will not end
until they find what they are looking for — namely, the computer files I have stored within this data pad and all members of the Alliance engineering team.
The Verpine fleet consists of unarmed ships which stand no chance against the powerful Imperial vessels. But my analysis shows a flaw in the blockade. Here, at this point, is the weak link. A single escort frigate is the only obstacle in sector G147, where the asteroid trajectories form a natural corridor through the field. An armed vessel could provide cover fire and a distraction that would allow us to move the fleet out of the field and into open space before the rest of the blockade could respond.
With your ship missing, the only combat-ready craft in the immediate vicinity is my transport. Unfortunately, it is docked in the Shantipole's hangar bay. A small strike team could sneak into the research station, recover the ship, and eliminate any remaining evidence of our secret project."
He looks to Juviest, "Unfortunately the prototypes are not ready for flight."
He continues, "Here is my plan, you will of course need to adjust as situations dictate." He calls up the holo-image of the asteroid field. The Verpine transport, you are in, and the research station are highlighted to show their relative positions. The image changes, zooming in to show the research station.
He says, "You must fly through the asteroid field to Research Station Shantipole, get inside undetected, and set the main generator to explode. I'll provide you with the detonite and timers myself. A 30-minute fuse should give you a reasonable safety margin. When the generator explodes it should destroy the entire station, and the prototype starfighters along with it. That explosion will be our signal to move the fleet into corridor G147. If you have not secured a combat vessel and begun your distraction maneuvers on the frigate, we shall try to escape anyway, but we'll be easy targets for the Imperial ship. Good luck, and may the Force be with you."

"You will need to travel to the station scout out the options and decide the best way in." He replies. "Jurfel will supply you with Verpine skimmers."
DM Xyro
Jurfel speaks, "If there is nothing else you need to do, I will lead you to the skimmers."
DM Xyro
Jurfel leads you to a small docking bay in another part of the transport. Waiting are six cubes of detonite, three timers, space suits , and four asteroid hoppers. The hoppers have 4 seats each and are small unarmed Verpine shuttles.
Jurfel explains, "I know the look small but these short-range repulsorlift craft are ideal for traveling through asteroid fields, but cannot operate in deep space. They have been covered with a sensor-reflective material that should confuse Imperial scanning equipment. Is there anything else I can supply before you set out?"

Djebelle laughs slightly nervously, both at Rann's comment to her and at Jurfel's question. "Dunno, can you supply courage? I could do with some courage right now." She trails off. This is not how she envisaged doing things. She shrugs. The Force is with her, and all will ultimately be well. She hopes.
A slight gleam enters her eye "OK, so who's hopping with who?"

Hah. Juviest draws a flask from his hip, turning it upside down. A single sad drops falls from the neck of the flask on the ground. "Seems like I'm all out of courage." Putting the flask back, he then rambles on. "Well, from what I understood, me and CorSec are the best pilots around here. I suggest I take one of them, and he takes the other." Putting on the space suit, Juviest makes way, standing next to the shuttle, and begins inspection, waiting for the others to get in.

sorry for the delay, just waiting on who is in what ship and both pilots should make an easy piloting space roll.
