Star Wars: Chronicles is a Star Wars RPG campaign using the Edge of the Empire/Age of Rebellion/Force and Destiny rules from Fantasy Flight Games (https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/products/#/universe/star-wars).

The concept of this campaign is episodic (taking place after the Battle of Yavin, during the time of the Episode 4-6 movies), similar to the style of the Star Wars: Rebels television series. The characters will be making a living for themselves any way they can as well as taking the odd job from the Rebel Alliance to further the aims of the Rebellion.

"Huh.", he harumphs dryly as he sets up the last charge.

Thrask leans against the wall towards their exit, his blades out and ready as when the timer is set he assumes they all plan on booking it. He checks his straps and the like while he keeps his ears open for the sound of boots.

Juviest stands up from the bombs, nodding towards the others. "No sense sticking around here, unless we want to become one with the force. LT, which way to the hangar bay?", he says, standing up from the console. "I suggest someone else take point. Doubt the SO act would work twice. And someone quiet could warn us what's around the corners.", he says, nodding towards Arannis. "Or, we could just run for it, and have the big boy show us how tough he is.", sending a dry grin to Thrask.

Thrask grins "I got the hide if you lot think you can keep up. Though I suppose I could always carry one of you squishy ones." he said with a grin but waited for the others to weigh in before he would set himself to go charging down the hall. He slipped the vibrosword back in it's sheath and set the Rykk blade up on his forearm. It was a perfect blade for a charge.

"We need to hurry. Any delay now gets us spread all over this sector, know what I mean?"

I believe we need to get to room 19. So we should go 14, 15, 16, 17, 19 to the freighter. 16 and 17 give us some maneuver options should we need them.

"Lead the way, Thrask, the time for subtly is over." She grins, thumbing the safety off of the big blaster rifle.

Djebelle blinks. "Lead the way." She hopes she doesn't sound as nervous as she thinks she does. Her small fist closes round the butt of her blaster pistol.

Thrask looks as happy as a Trandoshan face can manage as he starts the charge, his claws scraping on the floor aggressively as he thunders down the hall Rykk blade trained out front to slam into the neck of the first victim who gets in his way.

Juviest twirls out his blasters from his side and follows down the corridor. "Been waiting on you to say that.", he mentions to Kara. "I'll take the right ones, you take the left ones. Thrask can rend the ones in the middle. How'd you military folk call it? Slicing the quiche?"


"Is that even an expression?" Despite the seriousness of the situation, Rann seems to retain his usual laid back demeanor as he follows the others, blaster pistol in hand and ready to be used at a moment's notice.

Kara pulls her helmet and pops it on her head. Underneath, she grins. "Real soldiers don't eat quiche, Juviest." she quips.

Juviest continues down on Thrask's left side. "Don't really know. There was something about entering a room and clocking down targets from the left and right. Soldiers like metaphors.", he says, shrugging. As Kara replies, he rolls his eyes theatrically. "Right, LT. Forgot that the usual diet is grit and bravado. Your loss, real soldiers. Quiches are tasty."

you dart from cover to cover from the main generator room through the power converter room. Through the winding halls and into the Life support room (16). Pipes and pressure cylinders line the room as well as large water recycling systems. A large computer sits in the center of the room. You get the strange feeling that you are being watched as well as being too quiet.


Once again, Arannis reaches into the Force to try and sense whether they are bing watched by persons hidden close by, but once again it is the Dark Side that answers his plea. And once again he chooses not to use it, though there is a hint of frustration in his expression, albeit brief.

"I do not like this."

Kara drops into a crouch and brings up the heavy blaster rifle. Cautiously, she looks around.

Juviest grunts quietly. "I'm guessing more unlikeable than running through an enemy infested station about to blow up? Want to elaborate?", he retorts to Arannis, a broody smile on his face as he moves behind Kara, covering her sides.

Kara nods to Juviest, then moves out to find the freighter and their ticket off this rock.


"It felt a bit...," Rann begins to answer Juviest, "...well, a bit too quiet. But nothing seems to be amiss." He winks at the Sullustan. "'Seems' being an important word."

He shrugs then and moves to follow Kara to the freighter. He does not holster his pistol though; quiet or not, they are still inside an enemy base after all.

The last room before the hangar houses the atmosphere generator. From here you can peer into the hangar bay.

The hangar bay is immense and bustling with activity. The tunnel you are standing in enters the room from the side. A metal catwalk forms an awning some 10 meters above the floor. Three other tunnels exit from the bay. To your right, the hangar control tower juts out from the stone wall. Two officers stand inside, directing the activity below. Across the bay, on the catwalk, three stormtroopers stand by a tripod mounted repeating blaster. Near them, four TIE fighters hang suspended from a temporary TIE docking rack. Twenty-five stormtroopers move about the hangar's floor as well as two officers and two sergeants. Three of these guard a group of Verpine off to one side. A familiar squid-faced Quarren directs four technicians as they load boxes onto an over-sized Imperial shuttle. A Mon Cal freighter is parked on the far side of the bay.

Juviest grunts. "Pudu.", he swear quietly. "About six each? Drop a good grenade salvo, stick to cover and get Thrask there to get the captives, and we've skinned the bantha." He says, scanning the room. "Got a better plan, now'd be a good time to share." His eyes stop on Kara for a bit longer, waiting for a reply. "Do we actually have enough nades, though...", he murmurs.

"Grenades are no good against that armor, Juviest. That laminate doesn't stop much else, but it'll stop grenade fragments."

Thrask looked at the situation and licked his lips. "Even I would be hard pressed to put myself in harms way given the situation. One tie bolt to the chest and I doubt even I would survive. As much as it pains me....our quarry may survive, but if we are to survive we must hurry and get that freighter or shuttle in the air with us on it." he said without his usual air of confidence and bravado.


"So, basically," Rann speaks up, "keep to the shadows and behind cover and make for the freighter?" He looks at his blaster and then at the men and vehicles in the hangar. "Sounds about right."

Djebelle nods. She can be no help here - there are just too many people around, and she can't trick them with that damned Quarren knowing all about her.

A quiet scratching sound is heard from Juviest as he scratches his stubble. "Well... I guess the options are blasting our way straight in and try to survive, enter the ship, and fight the TIEs, or blast our way and kill everything, then grab the ship. Partial to the first one.", he mutters. He pats himself for cigars, and finds none. "Well, I guess I'm not dying today then.", he says as he fails to find one.

Let's get this going.

Kara slumps back against the wall, still in her crouch. "Ok. This isn't going to be easy, but this is all I've got. Thrask. You and Djeb make your way around to the right, take out that squad in the hall. Djeb stay under cover. Juviest, Rann. See if you can sneak up to the control center and eliminate the officers." She takes a peak around the corner, then ducks back. Standing up, she sighs.

"All of this needs to wait for my signal. I'm going to sneak along the catwalk and take over the gun up there. We're going to need it." Kara takes a look around at each person.

"Go in fast and hot. No mercy."

The former commando drops into her crouch and starts towards the bay. Stopping just before the entrance she says one more thing. "My signal will either be a com call...or they'll start shooting at me. Either way, you'll know."

With that Kara moves around towards the ladder, easing her way up onto the catwalk.

Stealth

Juviest nods. "Works for me. Trandoshan, want me to give you a good luck kiss?", he asks Thrask as he sheathes his blasters.

Thrask grunts his acknowledgement towards the human as he unsheathes both blades and prepares himself for combat. He wasn't sure what the jabbering one could offer for combat but maybe the spoon bending might be helpful.

He gave the Sullustan a look and snarled "I am pretty sure you are not the female of your species, such practices are not needed for Trandoshans. We don't need luck, Dosha taught us all well how to survive a fight." he said before licking hsi lips and waiting for the signal.


"Shall we then, Juviest? And no, I do not want a good luck kiss either," Arannis quips. "Just in case you were about to offer one to me as well."

Stealth [5 Successes, 3 Threats, 1 Triumph]

Hmm... Any suggestions on how to use that Triumph?

I did this OOC so you can write it into your narratives. Also use 2 purple dice for stealth checks in the future, makes it easier on me.

The Catwalk:
Kara makes it up the ladder and all the way to the intersection in the crosswalk. (3 adv reduces the time)

The control tower:
Juviest moves smartly up the ladder an enters to see the officers looking at a video terminal of what appears to a box that Rann bumped on the way to the ladder.
Rann moves up the ladder but bumps a cargo crate as Juviest moves past him. the box lingers and looks like it will fall to the floor with a crash but never does. Rann is half way up the stairs when Juviest opens the door (the threat is supposed to lsow you down so also used it to use our triumph the way you wanted)

The Hall:
I assume Thrask and Djebelle are waiting for the signal, if not roll some stealth

Indeed, Thrask is on standby right outside the room basically ready to come in swords a whirling.

Feeling that the smaller female is practically pressing up against him, he looks over his shoulder, the reptilian eye scanning before resting on her. "Are you worried, would you prefer to be inside my pack hiding?" he asked curiously.

Djebelle tucks a strand of her purple hair behind one ear and looks up at Thrask. "I don't like fighting, OK? At least, not on this scale - my powers aren't up to it. Still perfectly capable of melting your brain, though; shouldn't take me long..."

you make it to the intersection above the shuttle, but the squad near the ship elevator seem to be looking in your direction. You will have to take a move action waiting unless you are ready to break out of stealth. (you had 4 sets of possible eyes on you and even though you still ended up with success the threat slowed you down.)

Juv and Rann, unfortunately you may not be able to wait for the signal to deal with the officers

Kara ducks lower, trying to crawl into her helmet. She whispers into her comm: "Juviest, I may have been spotted, don't wait. Thrask, when the shooting starts, you know what to do."

One hand on her blaster rifle, she slips a smoke grenade from her harness.

Not breaking out of Stealth just yet.

My knees aren't really agreeing with this whole stealthing business..., thinks the old Sullustan as he sneaks behind the crates. "Got it, LT. Alright, kid, I'll get the one on the right, you got the left. On my mark.", he whispers in the comms, drawing his twin pistols and opening fire on the right officer.

Waiting until Rann is ready, then firing at a nod.

1 success, 1 advantage.
I forgot the setback die, no change
12 Damage and 9 damage to the right officer.

Juviest stands up, drawing his two massive blasters, two massive blaster wounds appearing on the officer's torso. "Shoulda worn armor, kid.", he says, before turning his eyes to the ones on the left.


Unlike Juviest, Arannis is unwilling to use lethal force, even though he is fairly certain the officer would have no such qualms if their roles were reversed. Unfortunately, it appears his compassion proves to be a mistake, his hesitation allowing his foe to turn and see the incoming attack and thus avoid it.

Mind if I grab that Advantage to add a Boost die?

Action: Attack officer - Brawl [1 Advantage]

Damn.

Whoever is after, you can use the Advantage to get a Boost die.

Thrask grins at the message and looks over his shoulder at Djebelle "Fighting is a part of life, there is no life without death...now stay close and use me as cover" he said, perhaps a small amount of compassion seeping through with his speech.

The sound of blaster bolts going off and the Trandoshan is up and running towards his target.

I'm fairly sure I can't reach my target this round, but if needed and possible I will take the two strain to get there and slice and dice

When Juviest fires, Kara explodes into action. Leaping out of her crouch, she sprints forward on the catwalk, counting on the metal structure to protect her from the squad to her left. A quick assessment shows the shuttle blocks that squad from seeing Thrask and Djebelle, but the next squad can see them, so...

While running, she drops the grenade over the catwalk to land in front of the squad in the open part of the bay. The one to the left of the shuttle picture. The one to the right of the shuttle should be blocked for this turn at least.

Stealing Rann's Boost die.

Grenade! =2 Successe, 5 Advantages!

In one smooth move she rips around the corner and drops the grenade over the side of the rail. She barely notices that the grenade hit right in front of the squad below. That's where she aimed, after all...

'...eat that...' she grimaces, then raises her blaster rifle at the squad on the gun.

Took one Strain for the extra move action to draw her rifle, cancelled it with 1A. That leaves two extra Boost dice (from remaining 4A) for someone to use on their rolls. Anyone firing through the smoke on the ground floor should get at least +1Bk die to their pool.

Ready for next round.

Firstly it has been so long I forgot how to do combat!
Juv: you are in short range so you only need 2 diff dice, also since you have surprise you get a boost die. I removed one of your rolled diff dies and add a boost (1S,1A) giving you a total of 3S,2A. I assume you are using the second weapon also since you have the adv. So I see 11+3 and 8+3 damage for a whopping 25 damage. you still have a spare adv.

As Rann enters the room Juviest lets his pistols do all the talking completely obliterating one of the officers. As the second turns toward you in shock.

Rann: we also need to add another boost to your roll due to surprise (also 1S,1A, you guys are getting good rolls from me today) giving you a total of 1S,2A. this would do 4 damage which is taken up by his soak. Now with your 2 adv you can do several things, 1. activate stun on shock gloves (3 damage), 2. activate disorient from fists, which would add a blk die to the officer for one round. 3. activate knockdown and make the officer prone. 4. give the boost to Kara, who did not really need it. Let me know which you want to do

Kara: assuming Rann goes with 1-3. then you would end with the same roll due to surprise. based on my reading it looks like the extra maneuver causes 2 stain or can be gained by spending 2 advantage. either way you are left with 3 adv. you could use them or give the next active player a boost (1A) and any other player a boost (2A). since we dont have smoke grenade rules lets go with: affects all players engaged with the target and any fire entering or exiting the area. Dissipates in 6 rounds. adds +3 concealment.

With a pop smoke shoots from the grenade engulfing the squad (SQ3) near the elevator.

Thrask and Djeb can act first in the next round, I am assuming you are standing in front of Squad 1 . Initiative slots are as follows: PC,PC,PC,Empire,PC,PC,Remaining Imperials.

Oh, cool! I think I will go with Knockdown. Stun will not do that much damage, but making him prone should help with keeping him away from the controls.

Oops, totally forgot that the smoke/concealment type grenade was something we have in our home campaign. Because it's techy-type grenade it even works as 'smoke' against thermal, UV, etc. enhanced vision. I'm good with your rules as posted, thanks! So smoke=round one.

Going to let Thrask and Djeb take the first 2 slots.
