Star Wars: Chronicles is a Star Wars RPG campaign using the Edge of the Empire/Age of Rebellion/Force and Destiny rules from Fantasy Flight Games (https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/products/#/universe/star-wars).

The concept of this campaign is episodic (taking place after the Battle of Yavin, during the time of the Episode 4-6 movies), similar to the style of the Star Wars: Rebels television series. The characters will be making a living for themselves any way they can as well as taking the odd job from the Rebel Alliance to further the aims of the Rebellion.

Jospi does a quick dump of as much information as he can before setting the computers to drop all of the force fields and open all of the blast doors if someone accesses these same computers.

She shivers at Jospi's words. "Shouldn't matter - the decompression of the station will blast them into space. Hermetically sealed just means they'll last a bit longer." Not a fate she would wish on anyone.

She sighs.

Kara takes aim and fires again, the big Czerka Arms blaster earning it's rep. Still, she can't pin down more than one stormtrooper, and the numbers are starting pile up...

I just realized that there is a mechanic with minions that means that you have actually killed 3 of the first five with your first volley even though you only hit 2. see the discussion thread.

Juviest I re-rolled your attack for two reasons, 1 to remove the extra house rule difficulty dice base don the ongoing discussion and 2 I cannot figure out where the boost dice came from as you did not specifically aim this time. If it comes from somewhere else let me know. The result was 1s 3adv. You do 11 damage on two hits and kill off the last two members of the first group. Assuming you use one adv to remove strain and one to activate the second hit that leaves you with one remaining.

Juviest grits his teeth as the blaster shot, grunting as he hunkers down into cover. "Bastards.", he mutters as he fires two shots at the incoming imperials, destroying the two targets in front of him.

Kara takes aim and fires again, the big Czerka Arms blaster earning it's rep. Still, she can't pin down more than one stormtrooper, and the numbers are starting pile up...

Thrask you are up. 6 troopers are down and 4 are still up. Juviest and Kara are in cover and have setback dice added to attacks against them.

Thrask looks over watching them take down waves of them he growls as it seems his original plan was folly. He blasts through the blast doors blood boiling as he bears down on the soldiers eager to join in and help his comrades.

Juviest re-checks his clip, If these blasters used more power, I'd seriously think they need a core. Or a backpack mount. Seeing Thrask going into the stormtroopers like a repeating blaster through Ewoks, he shouts out, "Trandoshan! You remind me of my glory days!", as he begins drawing a bead on the next group.

Not aiming yet, just fluff. Also, that is serious murder.

"Don't get cocky!" Kara snarls at Juviest. The Chiss commando is angry. How many times has she seen this? How many times has some overconfident fool gotten himself killed because he gunned down a few stormtroopers? Now that damn Transdoshan is out in the middle of them where he can't be easily extracted.

They need to know, they need to see...

Stormtroopers Never. Ever. Stop coming at you.

Kara sublimates over the comm channel. "Pollard. Any more assault boats inbound? Any other breaches? Talk to me dammit!" To Thrask she yells: "Get out of there, Thrask! Fall back to the barrier!'

Thrask runs into the 4 remaining troopers all hurdled behind a cargo crate, His blades easily cut through the armor to find the meat inside. Like a skilled butcher he begins to hack away at the stormtroopers hitting their soft spots with care. When all is done not one trooper remains standing.

Pollard replies on the comm, "I dont see any other shuttles but it appears that on is full of troopers, the life scan is off the chart. Dont stick around there too long we can buy time by locking them off with the blast doors."

Another squad comes down the ramp with a sergeant following close behind. The seargent sees the situation and shouts back to the shuttle to bring out the heavy weapon and fires on the crates where Kara and Juviest are hiding, striking the crate and leaving a burnt smell to the air. The squad of three troopers see the blood soaked trandoshan, and haphazardly fire their blaster, hitting him in the chest.

10 damage to thrask - 7 soak= 3. Also thrask how do you get to 16 with the vibrosword? I got 15 (5+2+1(feral)+7). No that it mattered as you slaughtered them. Just trying to figure out everyone's abilities

meanwhile back in the command center...

Juviest ducks down as the heavy weapon fires on the crate and says in a calm, loud voice to the Lt. "Chiss. I've been in more tough situations than you'd had cold dinners.", giving a small puff. Taking his cigar in one hand, he holsters his left blaster and takes an aimed shot at the sergeant.

3 Success, 2 Triumph, for 16 damage. Yep. Using the two Triumph to blow up the HR Blaster.

Juviest draws a bead at the weak neck-joint of the sergeant's armor, then smirks slightly and aims lower. Firing his shot, it appears that he missed and hit the frontal shield of the blaster, he hunkers down and mutters to Kara. "I'd keep my head down if I were you." Just as he's finished with the sentence, the galaxy-spanning sound of, "Oh, son of a...", is heard from the sergeant, followed by a corridor-trembling explosion. The barrel of the HR Blaster jams straight into a crate, centimeters higher than Juviest's head. The bounty hunter grins, takes a draw from his cigar, putting it back in his mouth and twirls out his other blaster. "We'll accept your surrender now!", he shouts, as he begins aiming at the stormtroopers once again.

Good, one, Juviest, except for two things. It's not our turn, and the hvy blaster isn't out yet. You might not get a chance to shoot at it.

Ackbar continues to transfer data and says with a chortle, " the data transfer rate just jumped, this will go quicker than I thought!". Jospi continues to set the trap.
Rann, Djbelle and Pollard watch the security feeds for any sign of additional inbound attackers.

Back in the hangar bay another squad of thee troopers comes down the ramp and fires on the menacing blood soaked trandoshan, blaster bolts hitting the crate behind him but also striking him in the chest. 10 damage again (pre-soak). Starting now I will just list the pre soak damage.

I don't know what Juviest's shot did, and I'm assuming we don't even see the heavy weapon yet, so...

Kara, ducked down behind the crates as blaster fire shreds them, snorts at Juviest. "First off, I have name. Second, you don't know the meaning of 'tough situation', and neither does your scale-brained friend out there." She stands up and snaps off a burst at the emerging stormtroopers.

Autofire at Med 13 damage + 2S = autofire for 13 more to a second target.

The Czerka Arms heavy blaster stitches a line across two of the trooper's white laminate armor, downing them both in with burning holes in their chests.

She drops back into a crouch and gives the Sullustan 'the look'. "Savyn. Kara Savyn. Lieutenant, 3rd Imperial Commando...'retired'. Now fall back and get your friend out of there too." With that she sprints to the next intersection and takes up a firing position.

1 action to fire, 1 maneuver to move back. All the ducking and crouching is more RP than anything, although I still have cover. Xyro, maybe drop the map into the campaign tab so we can reference it easier? Kara is going back to the next intersection. Let me know where I am, plz.

Thrask listens in as he takes a bolt to the back. He growls "A few bolts aren't gonna break me. Get back into cover you old womp rat, I'll fall back then." he said before turning around slowly putting away his weapons.

Move action to put away the weapons, gonna take two strain to move again

He began to walk calmly towards the poor weaponless Sergeant. His clawed hands came up and clamped them down on either head picking him up as he applied pressure.
This might hurt him just a bit

Brawl is a base 8, 5 for Brawn, 1 for Species, 2 for Feral Strength. So 11 damage minus soak. This is in a manner a setup for a coercion check next round, unless you feel this might be enough to warrant a freebie ^^ or any boost for the stunt or such.

sorry for the pause, had a long weekend.
thrask began to walk calmly towards the poor weapon less Sergeant. His clawed hands came up and clamped them down on either head picking him up as he applied pressure nearly crushing him to a pulp. His helmet falls to the floor in 2 pieces.

the SGT pulls his vibro knife out and slips it quietly into Thrask's rib cage between the armor causing him to drop to knees and then to his stomach from the stabbing pain. With his last breath he shouts to the new squad of troopers coming down the ramp directing them to race to the command center. "For the empire!" he mutters as drops to his knees unconscious and bleeding out.
wow, very cool RP. the SGT actually rolled a Triumph and did 6 points of damage with Pierce 2 and vicious 1 so he lands one point of damage to thrask and activated a crit. The roll showed bowled over..

The new trooper squad move out at rapid pace and exits the hangar through the broken blast doors from which Thrask entered. this squad is out of sight to juviest and kara. they are at medium to thrask and have cover due to the door (1 black)


Having worked out his 'surprise', Renning keeps an eye on the admiral's work. "Pollard, where does that door lead?" He asks, pointing to the as yet unused door.

Pollard responds, "That leads to the atmosphere generator room. It looks like a squad of storm troopers are working their way around your delaying force and heading this way via the barracks (room 4). We should set up to ambush them as the cross the open room from the blast door and protect the commander."

jospi, djbelle and rann are up. bottom of the 5th round. If no response then they will move to the door from room 2 into room 4 and prepare for the incoming squad.

in the hangar bay..
The remaining squad having witnessed their sergeant's last heroic action take cover behind a crate and fire on the prone trandoshan. The inspiration of their fallen comrade sets in causing the troopers to strike Thrask in the head with a blaster shot stunning the brute. another triumph roll. 11 damage pre-soak and a second crit causing the stunned injury (cannot perform an action next round).

A group of two troopers appears at the head of the boarding ramp. the first one sets a tripod on the floor and powers up a portable generator while the second places an E-web heavy repeating blaster on the tripod and connects it the generator. The pair then begin to scan for targets.

Kara and Juviest are at Med range. both squads, Juviest and Kara have cover. Thrask is prone and in short range from the troopers in the hangar but medium from the heavy weapon team.

round 6 starting: Juviest. Kara, and Thrask are up.


"Sounds like a plan," Arannis concurs, his blaster already in his hand. "With our more combat-oriented friends not here, I am sure the element of surprise that an ambush provides is definitely needed. Along with a lot of luck."

"Dammit, Jospi! How much longer?" Kara barks into her communicator. "I lost visual on a squad of troopers, 'prolly heading through the barracks!"

'damn lizard. always the big ones think they are invincible.'

"Run, damn it Thrask! Run! Kara holds her spot at the corner of the intersection and takes aim at the troopers closest to the Transdoshan. Aim, autofire, troopers behind cover.

The heavy blaster barks, and two of the troopers nearest Thrask go down. 11 damage, trigger autofire for a second 11 damage. What's more, Kara manages to hit a power conduit on the assault ramp, throwing sparks and filling the area with smoke, obscuring the vision of the troopers shooting Thrask.

"Juviest, keep their heads down so he can get out!"

Thrask groans a bit as he starts to get back up. He wasn't used to people getting through his scales with a knife and the shock had sent him to the floor.

As he gets to a knee he catches a blaster burn to the face stunning him as he gets the rest of the way up. He stumbles back a few steps before shaking it off and running towards the blade still sticking out of his chest.

Move action to stand, take two strain to move towards cover.

What is it with people and big guns..., thinks Juviest, hunkering down into cover. Popping out for a split second, his coat waving around him as he turns, he lets out a shot at the gunner just as the stormtrooper notices him move. You can't quickdraw a heavy blaster, pal. The blaster fires at the white helmet, all that's seen.

Bang, bang. 2 Success, 1 Adv, 1 Triumph 14 and 11 damage respectively. Triumph given to Thrask for a boost die to his next roll.

Before the gunner goes down with a smoking hole in the forehead, the Sullustan then aims another shot at the ducking loader, the bolt of Tibanna gas flying straight through the cover of the E-webber and nailing him in the chest. The corpses haven't even hit the ground before Juviest repositions behind another crate. "Don't become a flatcake, lizard, I can't stand the damn things!", Juviest shouts, firing several shots above the lying down Trandoshan to suppress the seemingly endless Imperials. "Chiss! You never did tell me how many does that tub fit!", he mutters, ducking a barrage of incoming fire, and using the time to let out a massive cloud of smoke.


Um, Thrask, GM stated you are stunned and have no actions.

"Right, dead end. Good to know." Jospi rises, drawing his dueling pistols as he moves to the doors he entered through only moments ago. "Pollard, release these blast doors. Keep your finger on the close button though, because we're likely to need them closed very quickly."

I have absolutely no idea how many actions it takes to stand, move and draw two guns. N00b!

swapping you action for a maneuver is free, getting a second maneuver in addition to an action, or in Thrask's case due to having no actions, costs 2 strain. Pg 200 and 2003 of the EotE core rule book. I am a noob too so don't be afraid to ask

Kara's heavy blaster barks, and two of the troopers nearest Thrask go down. What's more, Kara manages to hit a power conduit on the assault ramp, throwing sparks and filling the area with smoke, obscuring the vision of the troopers manning the heavy blaster.
Thrask moves toward the door Kara exited and Juviest is near, I assume
Juviest puts down the gunner manning the heavy weapon but is unable to hit the other due to the sparks and thick smoke and moves back toward Kara's postion. Couple of things, the damage is reduced by one per weapon as you already noted. You took three actions, draw,aim and move. This time the aim die was blank so it worked out and did not count. You do suffer 2 stain though for the other 2 manuevers. You missed having another setback die (black) as the troopers all had cover. I also added 2 setback for the concealment of the smoke. I rolled them for you and it came up with 1 failure and one threat so damage was reduced again and the second weapon did not hit, 12 damage and the gunner has a hole in his head.

The second trooper manning the heavy blaster looks over to see his mate nearly decapitated but dead none the less. He slips over behind the controls of the large weapon nearly getting hit himself. Firing blindly through the smoke, bolts fly everywhere missing everyone and everything in the bay, though the flashes of light allow the new gunner to see effectively thought the smoke now. no successes but 3 advantage allow him to ignore concealment until end of next turn.
Two more squads emerge from the smoke and take cover as they scan for targets.
there are now 3 squads (1 trooper, 3 troopers, and 3 troopers) and a heavy weapon with gunner in the bay. All the squads have cover (black die) and the gunner has concealment (2 black die). all are at med range. Kara has cover, thrask and Juviest are near cover but not in it, unless you want to use the triumph for both of you to have cover. Kara and juviest are in the hall at the intersection of rooms 4,5 and 6. Kara is behind a cargo container. thrask is still in the bay just inside of the blast doors.

Meanwhile back in the command center...
Rann, Djbelle and Jospi are hidden in cover near the entry as a squad of troopers appear at the far side of the living quarters room 4. The troopers make there way across the room. they are at long range when they enter and will make it to medium range at the end of their movement. If you want to spring your attack now that is fine or ready for them to get closer?


Methinks letting them get a bit closer would be a good idea.

Would be quite alright with the Triumph providing cover. That's a lot of enemies with shots at my backside heading for that blast door to have the first closed and locked.

Juviest leans by a crate with slightly less holes than the next and contacts the rest. "How's it going? How much more time do you need? Are you going to handle the squad heading towa..." Just as he's finished, a blaster bolt smashes into the crate, sending the Sullustan ducking. "Don't interrupt me when I'm talking!", he shouts at the gunner, pointing his gun at him and firing a blast towards the gunnery position.

1 Fail, 5 Adv. Actions are Aim and shoot.

The shot flies towards the heavy blaster, impacting the shielding. The force of the blast knocks down the blaster, leaving the gunner open. "Take him down, LT!", he shouts, pointing towards the unarmed gunner.

Thrask grunted as he moved to where the stim packs are and grabbed on stabbing it into his neck while he threw the others into his pack for now. He growled "I'll go check on Pollard and the others. Ranged...isn't my thing" he said looking at the others for conformation.

He didn't even seem to notice the blade that was sticking out of his chest, those stormtroopers though. He shook his head, it seemed that the rumors of their prowess with a blaster were true.

As Juviest and Thrask clear the doors heavy blaster fire begins to streak through the opening as they come slamming shut. Meanwhile back out side the command center the squad of storm troopers blatantly approach the stacks of crates arrayed outside the door.

I increased the difficulty by one as stated in the book for using two of the same weapon, but I didn't know if we had any advantages/disadvantages or boost/setback dice for the ambush, so I didn't add anything, please feel free to add anything you think may be appropriate to the roll.

How two weapon combat is done is that you make only one roll using the worst of the two weapons skill rank and ability rank, when using two of the same type of weapon this of course is advantageous as you get to use your normal roll. Then you add the extra difficulty. If you have at least 1 success and you at least have two advantages (only need one if the two weapons were modified with the paired mod) then you get off a hit with each weapon. If you don't have enough advantages you only hit with the primary weapon. So there is no need to roll twice, and successes increase both weapons equally. But if you want to crit with each weapon you must spend advantages for each weapon unlike successes

Djebelle's instincts are to hide; and so she does. Drawing on her powers, she uses her mind to shield herself and the two others from view, at least for a moment.

Unfortunately the circumstances are such that she is drawing from a position of fear and anxiety, not calm or hope. Still, it works: the three of them are shielded from view, at least temporarily.

As the storm troopers get ever closer, Arannis takes the time he has to carefully aim at one of them. Even so, he misses, the anxiety of the situation probably getting to him. Still, his blaster shot manages to at least distract the troopers, perhaps making it easier for one of his companions to have better luck at hitting them.

Maneuver: Aim the HL-27 light blaster pistol at storm trooper

Action: Fire at storm trooper - Ranged (Light) [0 Successes, 1 Advantage]

Advantage is spent to add 1 Boost Die to next ally's skill check.
