Another flight of arrows flies toward the camp.
Arrow 1 - Urzur: Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17, Damage 1d8 ⇒ 3
Arrow 2 - Flavia: Attack: Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5, Damage 1d8 ⇒ 1
Arrow 3 - Matsumoto: Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21, Damage 1d8 ⇒ 3
Arrow 4 - Mason: Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19, Damage 1d8 ⇒ 6
Arrow 5 - Flavia: Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5, Damage 1d8 ⇒ 6
The first arrow finds its mark as it pierces into Urzur dealing 3 points of damage. Arrows 2, 4 and 5 abruptly are pushed straight into the air as they hit Savendir's wind wall. Matsumoto is not so lucky as arrow 3 hits him for 3 points of damage. Your attackers are still hidden by the dark.
Savendir, you watch as the leader sees Urzur's ioun torch light up and move swiftly back into the dark. She reappears at H9 trying to get behind you unaware that your low light vision allows you to still see her.

Flavia Sparacino |

Flavia moves to N22 and attempts to throw the sunrod through the windwall to T23, hoping to illuminate the attackers.
Ranged attack vs DC5 to target square? The square actually has concealment from the darkness, but the sunrod has to land somewhere out there. Attack roll: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23 I'll let our doughty GM apply modifiers.

Savendir Inaris |

"The leader is trying to approach our flank," Savendir says. "I'll keep her at bay."
He focuses on the surrounding vegetation and entreats it to do his bidding, grabbing at the leader and preventing her approach.
Entangle centered on H6. Reflex save DC 14, although the effects are useful even if she saves.

GM Tordek |

Throwing through the wind wall, 30% Miss Chance: >30 = success: 1d100 ⇒ 76
Flavia's sunrod goes through the wind wall and hits exactly where she intended. It falls at the feet of one of the bandits that has been shooting arrows at you. The light from the sunrod illuminates four bandits with Longbows busily loading another round of arrows to fire at you.
Map has been updated with the light from Flavia's sunrod shown in tan.

Mason sees the bandits suddenly become illuminated in the light of Flavia's sunrod. He aims at the closest bandit (B1) and fires. Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6, Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 1. However, the suddenness of 4 bandits popping out of the darkness startles Mason and his shot goes very wide of its mark.
Enard takes a defensive posture almost daring the bandits to attack him in his unarmored state.
Savendir causes the grass to rise and attempt to grab the ringleader as she makes her way toward him. Ringleader reflex save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15. She barely slips free of the swirling grasses. Entangled area shown in green.

Moving on...
Seeing the bandits illuminated by Flavia's sunrod, Urzur charges the nearest bandit to him (B3). He strikes hard at the bandit with his greatsword, Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19, Damage: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 5) + 6 = 12 slicing a large wound in the bandit's gut. The bandit cries out in pain and falls dying onto the ground. The light from Urzur's Ioun stone circling his head reveals a fifth bandit still hiding in the dark just outside the light of Flavia's sunrod.

GM - Entangle has a 40-ft radius. The green area should be much bigger. Don't forget it is difficult terrain, and if she does not leave the effected area on her turn, she has to make another save vs entanglement.
Ooops, I keep having to do 20 foot radius areas for the light and I got carried away. Thanks, it's fixed now.

![]() |

Don't forget the Rokuro also activated his own Ioun Torch last round. I've updated his Radius. It overlaps with Urzur's. :)
While the arrow that grazed his thigh is but mere annoyance, the one protruding from his abdomen is causing him a bit of pain. Nevertheless, the need to dispatch their foes outweigh his need for medical aid at this juncture and he races forward towards the closest Bandit, bringing Akari down in a diagonal arc aimed at his torso.
Move to Q29
Attack B1 with Akari: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Damage: 1d10 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10

GM Tordek |

Matsumoto's blow strikes true and the bandit falls as Akari rips open a large gash in the bandit's chest.
The bandits overcome their initial shock as two of the comrades fall with one blow. Bandits 2 and 4 drop their long bows, draw their short swords and move to flank Urzur.
B2 Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17, Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
B4 Attack: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 + 2 = 7, Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Bandit 2's short sword draws blood as it cuts into Urzur's arm. Meanwhile Urzur deftly dodges the 4th bandit's feeble strike.
Bandit 5 aims an arrow at Matsumoto. Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21, Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 3 Another arrow plunges into Matsumoto's leg.
The ringleader double moves to E17 to escape the entangled area. She is still only visible to you.

Savendir Inaris |

Savendir blasts the leader with a flash of lightning before positioning himself a bit further away.
Lightning Arc 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12 ranged touch. 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7 electricity damage on a hit. Move to L22.
"She's just beyond the light of the fire."

Enard Darkblade |

"Behind us?" Enard confirms softly. "What weapons does she carry?"
The warrior-mage edges forward, his body tensed to spring, the black sword seeming to hum slightly in his hand.
(5 foot step to I 23 and ready an action to charge the leader as soon as she moves into his field of vision.)

Flush from his success, Rokuro moves forward to assist Flavia and Urzur with their foes. Passing around Flavia, he brings Akari across the stomach of the Bandit Flavia just wounded. Unfortunately he mistimes the strike and it goes wide.
Move to S25 (updated Ioun Torch light radius)
Attack B2 with Akari: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

As Enard edges forward preparing to attack the leader when she moves into the light, Savendir hits her with a powerful Lightning Arc. The bandit leader tries unsuccessfully to muffle an outburst as the electricity courses through her body.

Urzur Allsmasher |

Being a fan of murdering the heck out of anyone who is in his path, Urzur will be simply attacking B4 with his sword, trusting his allies to deal with the other one behind him.
Raging Reckless Assault Power Attack. RAR.1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26
Damage2d6 + 12 ⇒ (5, 1) + 12 = 18
I've taken... 2 damage this combat, right? That was before or after my DR 1/-? Also, my apologies for not posting yesterday. I needed the day badly. AC is currently 13.

GM Tordek |

Urzur, I did not subtract the damage reduction so take 1 off your damage.
Urzur takes a wild swing at the bandit in front of him severing the man's jugular with his powerful blow. The bandit falls backwards his life swiftly pouring onto the ground beneath him. The remaining two bandits watching their comrades fall to single blows realize that this group is much too powerful for them. They quickly try to turn and flee back into the dark.
Flavia, Urzur and Matsumoto get AoOs on B2. If not killed in their retreat, both bandits run away.
Savendir you see that the ring leader changes course as she watches her gang of bandits fall or abandon the fight. She takes off into the darkness toward the west.
Matsumoto is off camping. His AoO: Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18, Damage: 1d10 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
Matsumoto swings rapidly at the bandit's leg as he turns to flee and severs an achilles tendon. The bandit falls to his attack unconcious from the pain.
Are you going to pursue?

Flavia Sparacino |

Flavia picks up her sunrod and shakes it at the fleeing bandits. "And stay away!" she yells into the darkness.
She tucks her rapier under one arm, puts the sunrod in that hand, and grabs the collar of the nearest bandit. "Let's get back to the campfire with these guys. I don't like us being split up like this. If we leave them here, their friends will doubtless loot them before we can. Urzur, you can drag that mess you made. Ick."
Readying to drag B2 back to the campfire, but will wait until Matsumoto and Urzur decide on their actions before moving the light back. Not pursuing.

Urzur Allsmasher |

"Yeah, yeah..."
Urzur will take a moment to finish off the other unconscious bandit next to him via CDG before dragging them both back towards the campfire. The one who got away was a problem, but Urzur didn't have it in him to go chasing a bowman at night without a clue which direction he ran off in.

Flavia Sparacino |

Flava drags bandit B2 into the light around the campfire. "Loot, Mason. Besides, these guys defiled a shrine of Desna. Shouldn't you, I dunno, curse them or something?"
"And if you keep getting me sprayed with other people's blood, you're cleaning my armor," she huffs at Urzur.

Flavia Sparacino |

Flavia looks over the gear and hefts a shortsword. "Might not be a bad idea for me to have a backup weapon, and I can handle this. Anyone else want one? Too bad those bows are too damned long. The rest can go in the packs until we can sell it, for all I care."

GM Tordek |

After the bandit attack, the rest of the night goes quietly. Dawn breaks at the camp.
Which way are you going to go? Continue on the road toward Harse or go off the beaten path cross country? If you go cross country, there is no trail so you will need your survival skills to keep on track. Heading straight north from your location should lead you to Janderhoff and then on to Sirathu.

Flavia Sparacino |

"Let's be off, then."
Flavia helps clean up the mess as best she can and leaves a few silvers at Desna's shrine with a whispered prayer of apology. She looks ruefully at the remnant of her sunrod. "That came in handy, but I didn't expect to use it so quickly, and that was my only one. Did anybody else bring a sunrod or three? We should probably leave one with the people on watch, just in case. Say, what will we do with the guts there?" She points to the stack of corpses.

AT the conclusion of the battle, Rokuro heads over to Mason and bows his head politely.
"Honoured Priest. I have taken a most grievous wound and would be grateful if you would be able to remove this arrow and perform your healing abilities upon me." He bows again and indicates the arrow protruding from his abdomen.
At the conculsion of the exchange, he returns to his simple bed and falls asleep, waking in the morning to perform some simple exercises.
"If the honoured Savendir says that he can lead us upon the shortcut, then I am happy to trust in his abilities to get us to our destination."

GM Tordek |

Between Mason and Savendir's healing, Matsumoto fully recovers from his arrow wounds. The rest of you feel your wounds fade away as Savendir's positive healing energy flows through you. The rest of the night passes quietly.

Night gives way to day and reveals a gray overcast sky. The bodies of the deceased bandits begin to foul the air around the shrine. It is too early to see any traffic on this portion of the road to Harse. The journey beckons, which direction will you go?
