Male Elf Purist Druid 4, Heirophant 2 {HP 33/34, AC 16, Perception +13}

Responding to Flavia, Savendir says, "A wolf attack like that is highly unusual. Experiencing two of them would be like lightning striking the same place twice."

"Although I've been known to make that happen," he adds with a grin.

"The firewood should be sufficient for the night, but lanterns serve a useful purpose for those of you with limited eyesight. For me, I'm quite comfortable under the stars with the ground beneath me."

He will take any watch. If he is not first, he will settle in for his trance.

Rokuro once more whispers a few words and Flavia has a nice comfy bed of leaves to sleep on. He then goes about doing the same for anyone else who is interested.

Female Human Rogue 3 {-2/24 HP, Init +6, Perception +6}

"Wake me when you're ready for a break," Flavia tells Enard before trying to catch some sleep.

Male Human (Ulfen) Invunlerable Rager Barbarian 3

Urzur simply sleeps on the ground, still wearing his chain shirt as well. "Wake me when there's some wrecking to do, or when it's my turn. Either-or."

Those on watch, please give me a perception roll and which watch you are on. I will resolve the rolls tonight when I am home from work.

Male Elf Purist Druid 4, Heirophant 2 {HP 33/34, AC 16, Perception +13}

How about Enard and Matsumoto, then Flavia and Urzur, then Mason and Savendir? Perception 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31

Female Human Rogue 3 {-2/24 HP, Init +6, Perception +6}

Works for me. Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16 You work today? Sucks. And your new look is pretty spiffy as well. :)

Lantern Lodge

Male Human (Tien) Sorcerer of Battle 3

Sounds like a plan. :)
Perception Check: 1d20 ⇒ 4

Rokuro is too busy making sure that Akari is honed to razor sharp perfection to notice anything out of the ordinary...

Male Human Bladebound Magus 3

perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

Enard also spends a good deal of the first watch gazing at the naked blade.of his black sword, but oddly it appears to make him more aware of his surroundings rather than the inverse.

It is a very dark night. Enard and Matsumoto take the first watch. Matsumoto's attention seems to be focused on Akari but Enard keeps a sharp look out. Aside from the chirp of crickets and the flickering of the light from the fire, Enard does not see anything suspicious. At the end of the their watch, Matsumoto and Enard wake Flavia and Urzur for their watch.

Urzur please make a perception check. I already have Flavia's check. I'll take a perception rolls from Savendir and Mason if you wish also for your watch.

Male Elf Purist Druid 4, Heirophant 2 {HP 33/34, AC 16, Perception +13}

I already rolled.

Male Human Bladebound Magus 3

After waking the second pair, Enard settles into his bedroll.

He falls asleep quickly, his sword within armreach - in fact he hold the scabbard in his left hand as he sleeps. His eyes flicker beneath the lids and he occasionally mutturs fragments of words in his sleep, although it otherwise appears he sleeps quite soundly.

Ooops - I see your roll now Savendir. Sorry. Sleep well in the meantime.

As Flavia and Urzur keep watch, the flames of the campfire continue to flicker. Flavia hears some rustling in the grass that suddenly stops. The abruptness of the silence seems very odd. The sound appears to be coming from the east of the camp.

Urzur, you may still make a perception roll

Below is a link to the campsite. Go ahead place yourselves on the map. the Shaded area defines the lighted area around the campfire.

Map of campsite

Female Human Rogue 3 {-2/24 HP, Init +6, Perception +6}

Flavia sits as indicated with her back to the fire, looking nervously into the darkness. Waiting for Urzur or are you making his rolls until Trinam shows up?

Urzur Perception Check: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25 Also, I went ahead and placed Urzur in the light looking in the other direction.

Urzur's keen senses hears another sound to the northeast.

Female Human Rogue 3 {-2/24 HP, Init +6, Perception +6}

Flavia rises and steps past Enard to stand next to Rokuru, drawing her rapier as she moves and looking out into the dimness, straining to see what caused the noise. "Do you hear that?" she asks Urzur.

Male Human Cleric 2 / Rogue 1 {-14/16 HP, Init -20, Perception -40}

Perception Check: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21

Mason spent some time seeing if there was anything he can do to fix the shrine up a bit, considering it's been unattended. For how long approximately?

Mason inspects the condition of the shrine. He estimates that it has been a month or two since someone has attended to the shrine. Nature seems to be taking back the area.

As Flavia, hears a sound directly to the east, Urzur hears something to the Northeast. Somethings or some people are coming from multiple directions.

Initiative rolls please

End of 1st round

Flavia, you are up first. I am starting this round right after you asked Urzur your question.

Male Human (Ulfen) Invunlerable Rager Barbarian 3

"Sure as heck hear something..." Urzur responds quickly, looking over to the northeast. "Think we should wake th'others?"

Female Human Rogue 3 {-2/24 HP, Init +6, Perception +6}

Mason needs a position on the map.

"Probably gophers," Flavia says loudly, nudging Rokuro urgently with one foot while making ready to attack anything nasty-looking that comes into the campfire's light.

Ready rapier attack against anything hostile that enters her threatened squares. She essentially yells her comment, so Perception DC should be quite low.

Perception rolls of sleeping PC's to see if they hear Flavia's comment - DC 10

Mason Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17

Mason and Savendir are awaken by Flavia's warning about gophers. Enard continues to sleep soundly.

Male Human Cleric 2 / Rogue 1 {-14/16 HP, Init -20, Perception -40}

"Huh, what, gophers?"

Mason, gets up out of his bedroll to look for what are, hopefully, just gophers.

Male Elf Purist Druid 4, Heirophant 2 {HP 33/34, AC 16, Perception +13}

Savendir snaps awake from his trance and looks about, sizing up the situation.

Male Human (Tien) Sorcerer of Battle 3

Rokuro starts awake at Flavia's nudge and looks up groggily. When he sees her ready stance however, he shakes his head to clear his focus. Grabbing Akari from beside him he draws the blade and stands, a spell ready on his lips.

"mumble mumble, no, it's mine, mumble mumble ... "

A flurry of arrows fly toward the camp out of the darkness. They come from east and south east but the darkness obscures their exact location.

Arrow 1 - Urzur: Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7, Damage 1d8 ⇒ 1
Arrow 2 - Flavia: Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6, Damage 1d8 ⇒ 2

"Curse this darkness!" Flavia grabs a sunrod from her pack and strikes the end on the ground, igniting the tip and stepping toward the arrows.

Move to retrieve, standard to ignite, 5' step. Sunrod is 30' radius normal light - should I mark the map with it?

Male Human (Ulfen) Invunlerable Rager Barbarian 3

Remember, Urzur has an Ioun Torch on as well, he exudes a 20' light radius.

"Sure."

Skald:
It's best not to repeat what he just said here, but it's very disparaging things about the darkness's mother.

As for actions, Urzur moves east to find the mystery assailants... where exactly will depend on what Flavia's sunrod ends up revealing.

Male Elf Purist Druid 4, Heirophant 2 {HP 33/34, AC 16, Perception +13}

Savendir whispers to the East Wind, calling it to come to the party's aid. A barrier of swirling winds materializes in between the party's campsite and the source of the arrows.

Wind Wall cutting off, roughly, the direction the arrows came from. Probably O9-O14, unless Savendir is able to get a more accurate sense of where they are coming from, with his Darkvision.

Those who want to walk through it can do so, but I don't feel like letting us all be pincushions.

I also draw my scimitar.

The arrows fly past Urzur and Flavia, but Mason and Matsumoto are not so lucky as each feels an arrow pierce their bodies. Flavia opens a sunrod to try to illuminate the area better, but she can see no assailants in the light of her sunrod.

Savendir:

Savendir, with your low-light vision, you on the other hand can make out five bandits with longbows out to the east and southeast. To the Northeast of Urzur, you see a more heavily armed woman with a dagger drawn, trying to sneak toward Urzur.

After you read this spoiler, please go to the map and select Columns P - Z, then select text color, and select black as the text color. This will reveal the locations of the bandits and the ringleader. Then click on undo to rehide them for the others. For now, you will have to verbally try to describe the locations if you don't mind. At least until someone gets a light source near enough to illuminate the villains for the human members of your party. Also, feel free to move the wind wall as you see fit once you see the bandit locations. Thanks

Urzur, the light from your Ioun Torch does not reveal any asailants.

Updated the location of the wind wall.

Male Human Cleric 2 / Rogue 1 {-14/16 HP, Init -20, Perception -40}

Mason readies his crossbow in the hopes that the villains will be revealed by Flavia's sunrod.

Enard perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

The escalated sound of shouts as arrows come flying into the camp are finally enough to rouse the soundly sleeping Enard from his slumber.

Seeing Urzur's Ioun Torch, Rokuro digs around in his pouch for a second and pulls forth his own. Tossing it up, it sets to spinning around his own head as he moves south along the line of the Wind Wall trying to see as much as he can and also preparing for an enemy to come around the southern edge of the wall.

Move Action to pull out Ioun Torch and set it spinning.
Standard Action to move to L20.

Enard, it's your turn. You just woke up. I made the dc 0 for your second perception check. Savendir will summon his wind wall after you take your action.

Male Human Bladebound Magus 3

Thanks Tordek, sorry again for the delay.

“Wha ...?” Enard’s eye’s open, then blink shut again against the unexpected light. By instinct he grabs the scabbard beside his bedroll and draws forth his sword, the jet black blade not glinting at all in the light. Then he murmurs the words to a spell of protection.

Move action, draw sword. Standard action, cast shield. Normally if camping in the wild Enard will leave his armour on if wearing light armour, but as I haven’t stated as such before now I will assume he is sleeping unarmoured tonight.
He remains prone for now.

almost time to board. I will have to wait to post the unseen attackers action tomorrow when I have pc access again.

Savendir:

You can post any info you see with your low light vision now

Male Elf Purist Druid 4, Heirophant 2 {HP 33/34, AC 16, Perception +13}

Savendir whispers, "There's five of them, about fifty feet southeast of the camp. They are arranged in a row."

GM only:
What is RL?

Savendir:

She appears to be the leader. She has a dagger out and two axes at her side.

Male Elf Purist Druid 4, Heirophant 2 {HP 33/34, AC 16, Perception +13}

"And one to the Northeast," Savendir adds. "Might be the leader."
