Agreal |
Agreal hides his holy symbol, and walks out of the Crimson Coin holding his head.
"By the mother's left hand what just happened? Who are you? Why are you holding torches? Are you all here for the ale? Don't, it tastes horrible, and the wenches cast spells on you."
Agreal |
Agreal begins to kick the door, and then runs over to a window. If he has his falchion he attempts to break said window. If he doesn't he punches the window.
sunder attempt: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
damage if falchion: 2d4 + 1 ⇒ (2, 4) + 1 = 7
damage if unarmed: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Maldrek Zorn |
Maldrek awoke to the sounds of something he hated above all else, the ravings of a self righteous preacher... Time for some payback.
Agreal my friend now is not the time to attack...just yet. Let us examine the battlefield and our enemies, I can assure you that soon you will put your falchion through the belly of the self righteous lunatics outside but first we must ensure that we can inflict maximum causalities.
perception to figure out battlefield layout1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13 using guidance
Noro Kas |
Noro open her eyes checking her lips and nose for blood.
her jaw seems a bit busted but not too bad, she had worse. at least she got a few good shots in on that SOB before he put her down.
What the hell ish going on? what are you rambling about? what preacher?
her speech sounds like she is talking with a mouth full of cottonballs. her hand goes to her jaw as she winces a bit in pain.
she checks to see if anything they had is still with them. and if they, or at least if she is, bound up in anyway.
Corvus SKA |
Corvus immediately scans the room. 'Doors and windows will be covered - even a mad mob isn't that stupid. So...exits up or down are preferable.'
So Corvus looks for trap-doors, 'An establishment like this must have another way out - and down is always easier than up.' And then she looks up - in case a means of escape presents itself.
Finally she calls to Gerrick, "If you're awake, check for alternative exits." She lifts the corner of a rug to show what she has in mind.
Perception for hidden exits: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
Question - are the buildings close together here i.e. if we get on the roof, can we easily jump to the next building?
Nimon |
There is a known exit, the roofs are fairly close together in this area and jumping to an adjacent roof in the Foreign District is a DC 12 acrobatics. You are not bound and have all of your gear.
Outside Maldrek and Agreal see a group of religious zealots and towns people. A woman dressed in full plate stands behind them goading them on and keeps referring to the Age of Glory. In the distance you can see the Absalom guard are coming. The mob throws torches and cast minor flame spells at the coin, but for some reason they are ineffective.
Corvus SKA |
Corvus makes the motion of lifting a rug theatrical for Gerrick's benefit - and when she straightens, she notices what was to her an obvious secret door behind the bar. 'Obvious if you're looking for it I guess.'
She quickly moves behind the bar and waves Gerrick across before checking if the door's locked and then listens for sounds on the other side.
Perception for listening: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
GM - I'll wait for your response before I do anything else
Gerrik Lovejoy |
Gerrik finally awakens from his slumber with a sore neck and back due to slumbering in the uncomfortable bar chair. Hearing Corvus call for him he straightens up and stands, trying to figure out exactly what is going on. Exits? What's wrong with the one we came in? Once he discovers the scene outside he begins to understand the statement and will aid Corvus with the task at hand.
When the secret door is found, Gerrik will go over the Corvus with bow at the ready. When your ready, open it up, I'll cover for you.
Sarvin of House Morilla |
The devil's brood wakes up, his eyes squinting tight before opening them back up. Finding his body sprawled on the floor, he stands quickly back up. "This is...disconcerting." Sarvin exclaims, although it seems this is a familiar experience for the budding alchemist.
He straightens his clothes after a moment and then looks to his colleagues, seeing two crowd around the bar. "I would assume someone found an exit? Because otherwise...we'll be experiencing an odd situation here once these folks get in. My suggestion might be to....abandon ship, I think the phrase is?"
Noro Kas |
you want me to go firsht? or would you rather I go out front and bonk shome heads out there, I'm good either way she says with a crack of her knuckles itching for a good brawl.
Corvus SKA |
"OK, listen up. There is another way out," and she indicates the door she's standing alongside. "There is one small fact that you need to know though. Someone or something is behind this door and sounds like it's coming closer."
Turning to Noro, "Happy for you to take point. Can any of us see in the dark or do we need light?"
Noro Kas |
Noro glancing out the window
they got light...
turning back to the group, anyway, yeah, I could ushe a little light if you want me to go firsht.
she goes to the secret panel and opens it. taking a look in to see what she is getting into.
Nimon |
1d20 + 15 ⇒ (17) + 15 = 32
2d10 ⇒ (9, 2) = 11 Fire Damage to Noro. Reflex Save for half.
Noro enthusiastically goes to open the secret door, and soon realizes her mistake as she is engulfed in flames. on the plus side you now have light as well
Agreal attempts to break through the window, but finds the stained glass to be a lot harder than it appears. The Mob outside throws another torch at Agreal and it bounces off. yes, you have all weapons and gear still see above
Noro Kas |
Dwarven trap finder
reflex save for half: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
Noro stands there holding the door her face balckened smoke billowing from her hair.
careful, I think itsh trapped
Corvus SKA |
1d20+15
2d10 Fire Damage to Noro. Reflex Save for half.Noro enthusiastically goes to open the secret door, and soon realizes her mistake as she is engulfed in flames. on the plus side you now have light as well
GM - is it a trap or has someone set fire on the other side of the secret entrance/exit?
Trap-finding: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Noro Kas |
guess its time to take the... Secret Tunnel
Noro Kas |
After she recovers from the fire blast she drops what is left of the handle.
found a way out, I think and Noro will head in using the residual burning from the fire trap as a minor light source
Sarvin of House Morilla |
Sarvin wastes no time with anything quite so silly as torches. I mean, truly, what failed excuse of breeding does this team think they are. We really must discuss this further when next I see the boss.
And with not a word, Sarvin heads for the secret exit with the rest of his colleagues.
Agreal |
Agreal follows.
Secret Tunnel away!, but wait my dear Nor is hurt! Must help her!
Agreal walks up to Noro.
"Let me heal you."
Using CLW on Noro
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
"So after we get out I call killing Szinroc."
Aeadon of House Ormuz |
Aeadon had woken and risen without much effort, his home was far from spacious so he had slept in worse positions in his life. He lets the more combat talented ones take the lead. A wise choice when he saw the flames engulf Noro. He had no need of light to see himself but he kept that bit of information close to the vest for now. He was worried about Rook, Bishop, and Lorac. He doubted a mob would be interested in killing animals, but if they attempted to steal them then his pets would no doubt draw blood.
He followed the others outside, clicking his tongue. The sound was to low for anyone to overhear but animals had keener sense, if they could they would come.
