Just to mention, don't take it personally when Reijo is grumpy and gruff with you. It's just his personality... he's had a very hard life. :)
Though his Charisma is 10, I roleplay him more as an 8. I'd give him an 8, but he's scary effective at intimidation and I don't want to penalize him, at the least (hence the 10 and the Skill Focus feat).

@Shigeru: Mabuu did write to make either a Profession(cook) or Intelligence check, though your confusion is warranted since he did not yet specify whether the cook is drunk or not today. We shall see...
And good luck on those checks! The prospect of eating what comes from either a chef with a drinking problem or an untrained cook for the foreseeable future does not bode well for our characters' stomachs and health... I foresee Fort saves to be made not infrequently in the upcoming days aboard the Wormwood, lol!

I don't wanna step on Mabuu's toes here, but as I brought it up I feel I should explain the day/night actions. Reijo, they are not in the Player's Guide as I mistakenly had in my head when I brought it up, they are in the Adventure Path book itself. Basically, to streamline actions while aboard the ship, we use Daytime and Nightime actions. While your working during the day you take 1 such action, and at night you get another. "Work Dilligently" is a daytime action that allows you to put a +4 circumstance bonus on 1 check for your daily task, i.e. riggers doing rigging repair.

Ah, thanks Doc. That explains the extra +4 in your dice rolls I caught. I actually played a very brief run of S&S that was quickly cancelled around a year ago so I do have a vague recollection of this, now that you mention it. But I don't remember what the gamut of options were, or the details of their benefits and parameters.
Perhaps Mabuu is more interested in having us roleplay our actions without a multiple choice set of options. I'm fine with whatever he decides, but a fuller explanation would be desired if we are using the action choices you bring up.

Mabuu, if you want, check out my S&S campaign (The rest of you stay away because spoilers), to see how I'm handling ship actions over there. You can post the entire ship actions rules and job list spoiler-free in the campaign tab so that each day you can give us our jobs and we look at the list and make the rolls ourselves.
This way, each day you can give us our jobs for the day, we choose what we want to do for our ship action, which may or may not affect our job roll, we make any checks for the day time ship action, make our checks for our job, then choose our night time action and make any rolls necessary for that.

SHIP ACTIONS
These are the actions players can make on the Wormwood, during the day and night. PC’s can normally take 2 actions per day; one during the day and one at night. PC’s can attempt to take up to 2 extra ship actions in the middle watch (dead of night), but they must make a (DC 10 + 4 per extra action) Constitution check or be fatigued the next day. The “sleep” action to remove fatigue can only be used as the first nighttime action; after that it no longer removes fatigue automatically.

You know guys, after trying to DM my own Skull and Shackles campaign, I understand Mabuu all too well. This campaign is absolutely horrible to DM in a play-by-post, at least the first part of it is. Don't get me wrong, its a fun campaign, but I think with the day-by-day actions, its really better for a table-top group.
I ended up shelving my Pbp and we're planning on doing a homebrew pirate campaign set in an alternative history of the Shackles (Ruins of Pathfinder, for those who've heard of it).
Maybe if it goes well, I'll look into starting another for the public.. you guys included, of course ;)
