The crowd gets larger as Rickety Hake joins you, with two burly workers holding axes at his side. "No lass, you're not in any trouble." He reassures Selissa.
"should have seen this coming." He says to Marnir. "We have an agreement with the colony of Naga's upriver. They don't bother us, we don't bother'em. In this weather it must be like trying to breath soup for'em."
Turning back to the nervous Naga "Once yer healed up girl, why not go fer a swim out deeper where it's cooler for you?"
Things calm down and the crowd gets back to working, leaving you with Rickety and Selissa. Rickety speaks with Ghilda. "It was fast work by your lot. I'm grateful for you stopping this gettin' nasty. Lets say 500gp off the cost o' squibbing yer ship."

Marnir turns to Rickety and acknowledges him with a nod. "Hopefully this drought won't last much longer, seems like these nagas could do some real damage to your operation if things got worse. Have you had trouble like this before?"

Markizio then listens to Rickety to gain some understanding of the area and the heat. Why is ti so hot?

Kung looks at Markizio with a bit more confusion on his face. "Ummm. Yes? Go to foe, swing blade." He mimes an attacking motion; his tone is that of an adult explaining something simple to a child. "This battle nice, had good swim too. Didn't know she was friendly; she attacked man and steal beer. How you battle?"

Rickety shakes his head in response to Marnir. "No, they like it further up river where the waters are cooler. Sometimes one will come to trade for something, but mostly they keep to themselves."
He looks at Selissa. "They're powerful magic users too, luckily she was too crazy to start throwing spells around, coulda done some real damage."
Slapping you on the back he heads off to start working again.

"Sounds like we got away lightly then. Hopefully we won't have any more trouble with them," Marnir replies before Rickety returns to his work.

Next day.
Once healed Selissa takes Rickety's advice and tries to cool off in the deeper waters of the small cove. She does seem to have taken an interest in you though and often pops out of the water when you're close and asks naive questions of you. Much like a child with a new and exotic toy.
As work continues on the Man’s Promise on another uncomfortably hot day, you see a cloud of birds rise from the jungle beyond the construction and fly over the dry dock.
The workers there suddenly begin to run for cover, some risking serious injury as they leap to the ground below.
The cloud of “birds” is in fact a colony of giant wasps, driven from their nests deeper in the jungle by the relentless drought. The sounds of construction attracted their attention, and now they descend upon Rickety’s Squibs by the dozens.
Everywhere, the settlement’s residents run for cover as the horse-sized insects dart among them, stinging and dragging those paralyzed away
for food.
You decide the locals know what to do and follow them to the nearest shelter, three of the wasps, attracted by your movement swarm in to attack you.

Ok, on an init that bad I'm simply going to say the party goes first. 3 Wasps hovering and trying to sting you before you can get inside. Everyone give me their actions for the first round.
Jane, these Wasps have a space of 10 feet each, you can only hit one at a time.

While rushing for cover with the others, Kung realizes they're not all going to get through the door on time. He quickly turns, trying to catch the wasp following him unawares. Apparently, the strategy works, as he's able to get a good swing in before the wasp can attack.

The half-orc howls in pain as the wasp drives its stinger into his thigh just above the wooden peg. The venom spreads deep into the muscle, awakening decade-old sensations. For a brief moment, the warrior can feel the old limb as if it were a ghostly appendage, still attached. He knows he has no time to process this strange sensation, though, and begins to press his own attack when the wasp falls to the ground, its flesh strangely frozen where Markizio’s cutlass opened its carapace.
Kung nods at his new crewmate (he can dress like Chelaxian prince if he keeps striking like that), and takes the opportunity to move over to the wasp still attacking his captain, positioning himself opposite Marnir so they can work together to take this last flying beast down.

He looks around in their shelter for Rickety. When he finds the man, he hollers out. "This heat too? They angry cause it so hot? You need better base!"

The magus does not sheathe his cutlass but is glad that they found shelter.
He waits for the wasps to go away. A tense wait as he looks out to see if anyone else needs help.

He looks at Kung, "How are you doing big guy? Their sting was like the size of a shortsword."
He quickly adds, "I have a healing potion that you're welcome to. Just let me know and it's yours."

After a minute there is a gasp at the door, you can see a woman who had been stealthily making her way to the building and shelter has been detected, coming under attack from two more Giant Wasps.
This is within 30 feet of the door, and we'll stay on the same initiatives.

"This place is some kind of sweaty nightmare," Marnir agrees with Ghilda as they usher everyone inside. He goes over to check on Kung. "That looks nasty, mate," he remarks, "bet you've had worse though."
A scream from outside draws his attention as two more wasps converge on a hapless woman who hadn't yet made it inside. "S@*$," Marnir mutters under his breath as he hefts his axe again. He moves out towards the poor woman, strapping his shield to his arm as he goes, then swings his axe at the nearest wasp.
Move Action to move up to the wasp drawing my shield as I go as a Free Action, Standard Action to attack the wasp.

The half-orc brushes off most concern. ”Oh yes, had worse. No big deal; nothing simple healing won’t fix.” He seems grateful when Ghilda grants some of Besmara’s healing. ”Besmara best, you know I always say.” He waves away Markizio’s potion. ”Save for you. Stick with us and you’ll need it!” Kung grins with this remark, feeling proud of his wit.
(Assuming Ghilda will take advantage of the 10 rds to heal Kung somewhat. If not, or if the healing rolls aren’t great, Kung will drink a potion of his own.)

When the additional wasps appear, harassing another woman just seeking shelter, Kung moves with the others to fight them off. ”Go to your home! We’re not your food!!!” Kung charges at the other wasp (the one not being attacked by Marnir).

As he resets for another attack, Marnir cannot get his shield around in time to block the wasp's huge stinger from jabbing into his leg. He howls in pain and feels a slight numbness around the wound.

The numbness spreads down Marnir's leg and he has to brace his other leg to hold himself up. He brings his axe around again, trying to get revenge on the one that stung him.
