These games always start off fast and settle into a manageable pace after a bit. At least most of those 67 posts were only a few sentences in length and not paragraph after paragraph.

GM Sigma |

Sorry for posting a lot later than i had planned, it was apparently my girlfriend's dad's birthday and I didn't know (she forgot too because of all the chaos of the move). Good news is I don't work tomorrow so I should be good all morning. once everyone (or most everyone) oks their position on the map we'll start the encounter.

Feinmeir Azast |

Good

Ikkis Unmar |

Didn't realize that Sigma was waiting for our "OK." Marching order is fine. Also, I forgot that some people don't allow readied actions outside of combat. GM Sigma, what's your opinion?

Ikkis Unmar |

True, and to treat Connor's warning as reason to take a readied action would have the same effect as the Lookout Feat: being able to act in the surprise round if your Ally is. Since neither of us have Lookout or a similar feat, I probably should not be able to do this. In short: Ikkis is ready to attack, but can't/shouldn't gain the effects of a readied action.

At work so I'll be doing my best with placement via the descriptions of battle

Connor Brisbane |

I almost wanted to take a picture of my screen with the double ones and put a sticky note beside it with "I made my owner miss the zombie 5 feet in front of him, but I'm the only one he can use."

Feinmeir Azast |

Got my ACG downloaded, time to put Feinmeir under a microscope.

GM Sigma |

just so you guys know, my posting is going to slow drastically during the week. This week i'll only have the next two nights, friday night, and maybe, MAYBE thursday morning. maybe. Weekend I'll be good. Hopefully I'll know what my normal schedule will be in the next day or so.

As an addendum to the talk about combat above, Sigma, I'm going to advise something I've seen a couple of other GMs do in other games I'm playing in. For combat, it might be easier to let the enemies go on one initiative score (be it the highest, lowest, or average of their rolls amongst them). That way after the first round, or if nobody gets to act before them, you can have all the PCs go with their 1st round actions (or 2nd round actions if they got to act before the enemies in the first round). That way you only have to post once with updates on the success/failure of the PCs and actions of the enemies. This helps give combat less lag time from what I've seen.

Ikkis Unmar |

WOOT to the new initiative plan. Also, sorry for posting early. I knew I'd be at work for a lengthy amount of time today and I figured it'd be what I'd do no matter the actions of the fey.
Also I totally just got KO'ed by a creature that weighs less than a pound before I could do anything, so it's a moo point. And I thought dumping WIS wasn't going to be a bad decision...

Merisiel Stormwind |

Posting this to all My games:
I am heading off this afternoon to a 3 day music Festival. Expect very limited posting from my part.
If the game is in the middle of combat I WILL post once a day my combat actions.
Normal posting will resume on monday 25th

Demona Flint |

Lol.
To be fair to myself, except for the one time I played an evoker, my wizards are never like this. I play manipulator or controller wizards, when I play one at all.
Demona is just special, although she's also trying to capitalize on the winter fey's apparent fear of fire.
And yes, setting the arms on fire was also just a cheeky juvenile prank to help her vent frustrations at these fey, and neither she not I make any apologies for it! :)

"Do you want to burn a snowman?"

Connor Brisbane |

Da da, da doo, ah, bah, bah, bah, bah, bah, boo
The hot and the cold are both so intense
Put 'em together, it just makes sense
Ratdadat, dadadadoo
Winter's a good time to stay in and cuddle
But put me in summer and I'll be a happy snowman

Feinmeir Azast |

Still holding my axe didn't throw it yet.

Feinmeir Azast |

If I couldn't have gotten into melee off the bat I would've

Feinmeir Azast |

Nobody throws a dwarf except for Aragorn that one time

Feinmeir Azast |

"Don't tell the elf."
Darn you casters and your need for 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep.

Demona Flint |

Is that the core rule? The house rule I've always used is that if you get interrupted (by either a random encounter or a watch rotation), you figure out the percentage of 8 hours that have gone by and restore that percentage of spells of each level. If you then end up using one or more spells during the night (assuming you've recovered enough to have them available), you wake up the next morning with those spells gone.

Feinmeir Azast |

If I remember right thats the core rule I'll double check in a little bit.

Merisiel Stormwind |

Rest
To prepare his daily spells, a wizard must first sleep for 8 hours. The wizard does not have to slumber for every minute of the time, but he must refrain from movement, combat, spellcasting, skill use, conversation, or any other fairly demanding physical or mental task during the rest period. If his rest is interrupted, each interruption adds 1 hour to the total amount of time he has to rest in order to clear his mind, and he must have at least 1 hour of uninterrupted rest immediately prior to preparing his spells. If the character does not need to sleep for some reason, he still must have 8 hours of restful calm before preparing any spells.
Recent Casting Limit/Rest Interruptions
If a wizard has cast spells recently, the drain on his resources reduces his capacity to prepare new spells. When he prepares spells for the coming day, all the spells he has cast within the last 8 hours count against his daily limit.

Ikkis Unmar |

Hey guys,
Unfortunately I've come down with an extremely bad case of the stomach flu, so I'll be all but unconscious for the next few days. Just letting you know that my posting rate will be decreasing due to excess vomiting, not due to lack of interest... or choice in the matter.

GM Sigma |

Ok. Sorry everyone for not being so active in the past week, i really am. I had imagined my work load increasing with the new job, I just didn't realize it was going to be by as much as it has. When I get home I'm fairly to tired to do anything but have dinner and sleep. Plus with my hours and my girlfriend's new hours, we hardly see each other and when we do, I don't really feel like being on the computer.
that being said, I can still try to continue if you guys want me too. I'll do my best to get posts when I can. This will mostly be maybe friday, some saturdays, maybe sunday, monday nights, and tuesday nights, but even then I can't promise utmost activity. If you guys rather call it with my paltry schedule, I"ll completely understand.

Feinmeir Azast |

Ditto.
