er, because you are in a fight with a thug and we are waiting for you to call us. I do not think there have been any posts in 2 days. Also, there are some new video games which have been sucking people's time starting yesterday.

Sap Attack; Damage Subdual:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 201d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
No I mean im not seeing other peoples posts, like Voodoos. I know you are waiting on me its why I am aggrevated. ; )
Sheik Voodoo |
I had that happen to me with one campaign thread I was playing on as well. It eventually self-corrected after a week, but it was annoying. If you don't start seeing updates, maybe drop a note to a paizo IT guy or just check the thread each day.
Amir gets a second strike which grazes on the thug's head causing him to blink several times before he regains his wits. It has become quite evident to the others that some sort of scuffle is occurring inside.
Round 2.
Kzrira
Faelar
Thug
Amir
Karethas
Kzrira Maiwith |
Hearing the scuffle inside, I go in with my crossbow still loaded. As soon as I see Amir fighting someone, I will fire.
Attack-Crossbow: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Karethas ibn Faradin |
I know it's not my turn, but I am well on my way to drunk so I'm going to post to not hold us up.
Karethas summons another pool of acid into his hand, walks into the room and throws it at the thug.
ACID DART (5 of 7/day) 30ft Ranged Touch Attack:1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (15) + 2 - 4 = 13 Damage:1d6 ⇒ 3 Acid Damage (-4 for shooting into melee).
Sheik Voodoo |
Kzira follows the sound of battle in to the foyer and spots two figures struggling in the study on her right. There is dim light from teh far end of the room. She fires her crossbow and it whizzes between the combatants narrowly missing the tug. Faelar steps beside Kzrira and begins an inspiring tune.
Distracted by the humming the thug swings wide and Karthas moves behind Amir to cast a spell.
back at Amir, but here's a map:

Round 2
HP 7/12
I am more dangerous with my crossbow.
I reload - move action.
Attack-crossbow: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Kzrira Maiwith |
Sooner or later you would think that these fools would realize that the little girl has a painful crossbow.
I search the thug.
Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 8
Amir Awad Hajjir |
Wil Save (Uh oh!) 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
And this is where the low Wisdom party will get its ass KICKED!
Amir lets out a a yell as his vision leaves him. In a moment of uncharacteristic anger Amir yells above him. You better use your petty tricks to escape or strike me dead or I will come for you!
Amir will spend his initiative attempting to dive for cover as best he can, aware that his condition makes him much easier to attack. (Hopefully he can remember where the desk is)
Acrobatics Need DC 10 to move at normal speed wile blind1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
Kzrira Maiwith |
Will Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21
As luck would have it, I was blinking at the amazing ugliness of the thug when the spell was cast.
I look toward where the voice came from while loading my crossbow. I then fire at the mage if the shot is there
Attack-Crossbow: 1d20 + 3 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 3 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 16 --> +3 Dex, +1 BAB, +1 Point Blank, +1 Bard
Damage:1d8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 --> +1 Point Blank, +1 Bard
Karethas ibn Faradin |
Will Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Karethas looks up just as the spell goes off, taking a full blast of dust into his eyes. He bends over with his palms in his eyes. He shouts out blindly, Quite a spell, impressive.
Sheik Voodoo |
Kzrira is unaffected by the clinging golden dust and looking up spots a robed figure that she is certain wasn't there a moment ago. He is standing in the tower loft that forms the corner of the mansion. She quickly fires, hitting the man. Faeler continues his inspiring performance as Amir and Karethas get their bearings. Amir dives under the desk and the wizard pops something into his mouth and runs up the wall.
Round 4.

Amir Awad Hajjir |
Do we have any sense how long we will be blind?
Free action Kzrira, I heard you fire. Can you see? Is our attacker coming or going?
Faelar Braegen |
'...umm...what would walking up the wall count as?'
On my turn I shall continue my performance. Or if you think that the speaking will interrupt the humming, I will stop the performance, say the above and then re-start the performance.
Bardic Performance Uses : 4/7
Total Defence if you are allowing the speaking to not interrupt the performance, AC : 19
Kzrira Maiwith |
Faelar, you realize that you can maintain the bardic performance as a free action. Almost nothing can disrupt it other that being killed or paralyzed or knocked unconscious or something of that sort.
Heh - he is going up the wall, some type of spell I think.
Where is he going? Up the inside of the tower?
Move Action - reload crossbow
Standard Action - Attack
Attack-Crossboe: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22 <-- Subtract 1 if > 30'
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10 <-- Subtract 1 if > 30'
Karethas ibn Faradin |
Will Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18 Woohoo!
Karethas blinks the dust from his eyes and looks around quizzically. He sees the man walking up the wall and chuckles. Hmmm, classic denial of access as a defense. He twists the ring on his finger for a moment before making several arcane gestures. Lets see if we can't turn this around a bit. The now familiar circles of arcane markings circle his hands as a layer of grease appears on the wall under the cloaked figure's feet. Coming down now?
Standard Action: Cast Grease (Ref Save DC 16) Move Action: Move to a position that would give him some cover from the figure
Sheik Voodoo |
The wizard gasps as another crossbow bolt hits him in the back. Then he suddenly stops, his body rigid as he strains to hold on to the suddenly slick wall. You clearly hear him grunt as he slowly slides back down the wall. Dropping back to the floor of the loft, he spins and blasts the Kzrira with two glowing red missiles. Kzrira-9 hp force damage.
still need Amir (are you seeing new posts now?) and on to Rnd 5
Amir Awad Hajjir |
No, not consistently and what I meant before was that I don't see them -in- thread sometimes. I havea thread posted in website feedback where a lot of other folks tend to mention things. We'll see if I get a bite otherwise I'll email the Postmonster. Sorry of I slow things down while I try to figure this weirdness out.
Round 4:
Wil Save, DC 16 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15
My eyes still fail me! Curse the Blackfingers and this pawn of his!
Amir huddles near the desk ineffectually attempting to rub the light from his eyes.
Round 5:
Wil Save, DC 16 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Hearing the fighter collapse and her crossbow clatter on the ground the older thief can only assume the worst as he looks about with light still blinding him.
Kzrira, no! We cannot die in this place
Amir pushes from the desk in the direction of his fallen comrade attempting to meet her on the ground and find the potion that he knows she just stashed on her person. Basically roll from my square to hers then paw at her until I can find the potion and make her take it.
Acrobatics, DC 10 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
Perception 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10 Unless taking 10 would get me where I want to go in which case I would rather stay with the safe 15 ;-)
Faelar Braegen |
'Karethas; my friend, looks like it is up to the 2 of us to take care of this mage.'
I just wish that I could be more help right now, but if I run in there and fall myself we will be in big trouble. We don't want 2 of us unconscious, or dying. So the best thing for my friends and I would be to carry on cheering Karethas and hope that he is able to subdue this mage.
I continue my performance, Bardic Performance Used : 5/7
Karethas ibn Faradin |
Karethas looks down at Kzrira and sighs. That is a shame, Faelar, because I am essentially out of spells. He winds up and throws an Acid Dart at the man on the balcony.
ACID DART (4 of 7/day) 30ft Ranged Touch Attack:1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 2 + 1 = 8 Damage:1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 Acid Damage.
Sheik Voodoo |
Karethas' acid smokes as it dissolves a section of paint off the wall. The mage decides he needs to make his escape while the getting is good. While Amir digs out Kzrira's potion, the wizard runs down the wall past the fallen thug and into the foyer past Faelar and out the back door.
Round 6.

Kzrira Maiwith |
Faelar - pull out your bow and shoot this idiot. You do not need to do anything to maintain the bardic performance. It will keep going unless you intentionally stop or get knocked out. See my earlier post.
Sheik Voodoo |
Faelar runs out the door and around the fountain after the retreating wizard only to lose him as he runs up and over the wall and into the night.
I was thinking Faelar would get an AoO until I realized Total Defense doesn't allow it. Honestly, even if the bad guy couldn't run up walls, there's a fountain in the way of a charge. Not all is lost though, you've got a chance to loot (possibly enough for a wand of clw) and there should be enough info to be of some value to Djal. It's always nice to have a reoccurring enemy as well :)
Karethas ibn Faradin |
After following the mage far enough to see him disappear over the wall, Karethas makes his way back to Kzrira and Amir to check on their condition. He hands Amir a water skin and reaches for the potion the older man has produced from her belongings. "The filth has fled. Here, take this water and wash out your eyes. I will give her the potion."
Kzrira Maiwith |
Any chance we could retcon and not have Faelar in full defense since he did not know that he could take other actions while maintaining his Bardic Performance?
I continue to nap until someone gets me healed.
Amir Awad Hajjir |
Wil Save 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
Okay so I can see this round but there are a flurry of requests coming in so I will wait to see what happens before I post IC.
Sheik Voodoo |
Faelar- technicality, but ok, ok, if you guys are soooo set against any ambiguity or interesting plot twists- fine ;P. Faelar's hit leaves the wiz at 0 hp.
Karethas' acid sputters as it dissolves a section of paint off the wall. The mage decides he needs to make his escape while the getting is good. While Amir digs for Kzrira's healing potion, the wizard runs down the wall past the fallen thug and into the foyer past Faelar who slashes at the robed figure as he runs past leaving a ragged gash in his side. The wizard cries out, staggers through the door, and begins climbing up the outside wall leaving a trail of blood behind.
I'll put him at 10 feet up, you can always pitch a dagger.
Round 6.
Kzrira (stable)
Faelar
Amir
Karethas
Mantlus
Faelar Braegen |
I rush outside, where I see the mage start to climb the wall and I begin to sing out loud. I am using the "Fascinate" ability of the performance. Will save, DC : 14 or he stays where he is and listens to my performance. Any threat to him will break the effect though, hopefully someone can get him before he flees.
Bardic Performance Uses : 6 / 7
Karethas ibn Faradin |
Karethas glances at the door as Faelar runs outside and begins to sing, but he continues with pouring the healing potion down Kzrira's throat.
Healing Potion 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 Horrible, no good potion!
I'm ok with a reoccurring enemy :-)
Amir Awad Hajjir |
Its ALWAYS time to enjoy art! And besides, we are mostly would be assaulters NOT murderers! Well at least that is how it started...
As Amir's eyes clears he bolts from Kzrira after the wizard, waving Karethas on to deal with the fallen warrior. Dodging and tumbling over the terrain Amir release his knife and lets fly at the wizard trying to escape.
Acrobatics (In case terrain is an issue) 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
