This will be the Shackled City adventure path using the Pathfinder rule set. However, the existing deities (i.e. St. Cuthbert, Pelor, Wee Jas) will not be converted to similar Golarion gods.

We seem to have lost Glimmil for the moment so I'm going to go for him.

Glimmil stabs one of the goblins through the chest as it tries to close in on him. Glimmil then takes a 5' step back and stabs another in the gut. A single goblin now faces Glimmil.

Round 3

The goblin next to the Doctor tries to get revenge for his fallen comrade and slashes the doctor's thigh. The last of the three goblins moves in on Glimmil, but can't penetrate his armor despite a nice swing. The goblins on the ledge try to hit Glimmil, but have no success.

Round 2 so far

An enlarged Finneas easily slices open a goblin (Gob 6) on the ledge and leaves it in a pool of blood.

While afraid of the giant sword of death, the goblin is less impressed with the smoldering non-priest also known as Dryant. (Will save1d20 ⇒ 18)

Silfir slashes a goblin with his claws, but find them not nearly as effective as his sword. You hit Gob2. Gob 1 is already down.

At Toffitt, Gob3 went down in the 2nd round to Glimmil's AoO.

Round 4

Goblin 8 takes a shot at Finneas and takes a 5' step back squeezing on the ledge to allow Gob 7 to take a 5' step back and shoot at Finneas. All of it is pointles as their arrows bounce off the enlarged Finneas. The final goblin on the ground steps up to Glimmil, but is nowhere close to even scratching his armor.

Off in the darkness a goblin voice can be heard in the rhythmic tones of spellcasting. Given the distance, darkness, and the fact no one speaks goblin, you're unsure what spell it might be.

Spellcraft only requires line of sight to be able to be used. We can't ID the spell, but not because we don't speak goblin.


Okay. Straight perception check to see the goblin. 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13 + 1 for each 10 (currently 65' from Finneas' new position) + the ability to see the goblin in the darkness. He has no light illuminating him, but the party does.

Atol moves along the west wall until he gets a clear shot at Goblin 8 (I think about 15' or so) and then he takes it.

"I think we have them on the run! Find the one in the dark Glimmil - you carry the light!"

Glimmil hesitates, then nods - half to the others, half to himself, before gripping his lance and heading forward towards the sound of the spellcaster.

I'm sure Finneas and Silfr can finish off these pesky goblins without me...

Glimmil will move forward towards the sound - he can move 30ft with a double move (no grid on the map so not specifying the exact square)

Silfr puts away the wand of mage armor and gets out his bow.

Only gobo left ran down a hallway leading from that ledge up on the wall, is that right?


Round 4 recap

Finneas cuts down a goblin archer and a good chunk of the cliff edge along with him. Atol manages to take down the other archer.

Glimmil ignores the last goblin (#5) with good reason as it swings half-heartedly as Glimmil leaves. 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

With his low-light vision and light Glimmil can see the last goblin on the ledge about to complete his spell.

The goblin finishes and a brief light bursts catching Atol, Dyrant, Finneas, and Glimmil. (DC 13 Will save or sleep) The goblin then opens the door and stands there.

The goblin on the ground stabs at Finneas, but appears confused as to where he should even strike the huge half-orc. 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Dyrant makes a gesture like a man opening a coffin from within, then sitting up.

Perfect. There is no way he can misinterpret that, by Pholtus' hairy ass.

Dyrant will pull out his crossbow and load it.

"What's all this talk of slee..?" Glimmil yawns, almost dropping his lance and realizes what might be happening.

"Wait, the goblin's spell! He's here, on a ledge!"

If the ledge can be reached by lance, Glimmil will continue to advance towards it with a double move.

Otherwise, Glimmil will drop his lance and produce his sling immediately and attack.

Atol shrugs at the lack of targets and moves toward Glimmils poor beast of burden. He takes out the Wand of Cure Light Wounds I wonder, I should get a wrist sheath or some other device to place this firmly in my hands at a moments need.

He stands over the poor dog with his crossbow in one hand and wand in the other.

As the goblin disappears through the door, Glimmil frowns at his sling and secures it back to his side. Picking up his lance he observes as Dyrant and Finneas head down the main passage.

"Guys... there was a goblin wizard or something up on that ledge... he's gone now."

Move action to stow sling, and move action to pick up lance.


Not out of combat. Silfir still to go. Nothing new seen.

I'm going to take it out of combat rounds since the last goblin is not being pursued. The time underground I'd estimate at about 30 minutes.
