Captain Kovack has an important announcement to make around midafternoon. "I have wonderful news for everyone! Because our celebratory dinner was interrupted yesterday, I have decided to host another formal meal tonight! Make sure to dress in your finest; I'll tell Chef Kroop to prepare the finest foods. Oh, yeah, in case you didn't know, we took on another passenger, so that's something, too, I guess. Anyway, I look forward to seeing you tonight!"

"That sounds remarkably splendid! Another occasion for food and drink. And to think, I heard these long voyages were drull affairs."

Gleus stops on his way to the hull to observe Amy and Keith making faces at each other as if they were having a silent coversation, "Strange people...strange people." Gleus goes a puts on his nicer blue tunic in anticipation for the party. The big man then just mopes around on deck until the festivities start.

Gleus looks about to make sure none of the crew overheard. "Dont get me wrong, the captain and his crew have done a splendid job. It's just..." Gleus scans the horizon, "These legs yearn stable ground again." Gleus gives Amy another smile, "Funny the things you start to miss."

Gleus ponders a little as the sun gets low in the sky. "Miss Eir, does your god live upon the sun? Why does she leave you each night?"

Lacking any extra set of clothes Silvio will attend the dinner as he is, which in Silvio's case is more than enough.

Gleus nods to Boram before turning back to Amy, "Apologies. Forget my rambling. Lets go eat, eh?" Before he goes to the dining table he takes a detour to the bunks and meets the halfling.

"So what has the 'scaliwag' managed to dig?" Gleus stumbles over the pirate term. "Is there really a secret stash on this ship? A forgotten barrel of fine dwarven ale that never made it to port?" Gleus crosses his arms and puts on a devious smile, fully expecting the halfling's claims to be meaningless hearsay.

I am unsure if it's only the captain that thinks his hair is on fire or if everyone can see the illusion.
If it is just the captain
"Silvio thinks that the captain has partaken to heavily in the wine. It is understandable. Once you see Silvio drinking with grace and sophistication it can be alluring to follow. But what you need to remember is that Silvio is a talented man, able to hold his liquor."

If it is everyone
"Be calm, be calm! Silvio shall fix this", Silvio urges and grabs hold of the table cloth. With a quick flick of his wrists he pulls the cloth of the table but amazingly leaves all the cuttlery untouched. With the cloth in hand he gracefully dashes over to the captain and engulfs his head in the cloth to snuff out the flames.

Keith snickers behind his wine, enjoying the chaos ensuing from his practical joke. The captain was an idiot, and now everyone knew it. He took a sip of his wine, smiling as the warm sweetness of the liquid reached his belly. At least the wine is good. And the food is fair as well. He looked toward Amy and gave her a subtle toast with his goblet.

Boram, meanwhile, notices the guard is missing from Jask's cell as he heads to his lookout position. If he investigates, there'll be nobody to warn Gleus is someone comes by.

Upstairs, the captain frantically sprints around the table and buries his head in the punch bowl. A few seconds later, he lifts his dripping head and smiles with relief. "That was almost a disaster!"

Gleus stops for a moment and stands up to the man. For a moment an awkward silence reigns and Gleus' presence is almost intimidating. However, the air quickly clears as he puts on a smile and pats the cook on the back. He leans in and whispers, "Well do I have a treat for you. I hear there is a crate of gnomish spirits down here. If you keep quiet I will be more than happy to share in the conquest..."

The captain mumbles something about getting too close to a candle and quickly excuses himself. He's clearly mortified by what happened.

Belowdecks, Gleus and Boram eventually locate a crate of Throatburn. This Gnomish whiskey is potent enough to rival Dwarvish Ale in regards to its powers of intoxication. Fishguts is ecstatic when you show him.

The next day, the captain almost seems like a different person. Quiet and moody, he actively avoids the other passengers and focuses exclusively on sailing the ship. There are no more fancy dinner parties, and the dining room candles are replaced with covered lanterns. His ill temper infects the crew, as well, and over the next couple weeks, many of them become less cheerful. Of course, the captain's sudden ban of alcohol may have something to do with this. Fortunately, Boram, Gleus, and Fishguts manage to keep their secret crate hidden.

One day, the captain approaches each of the passengers for the first time since the disastrous dinner party. "We arrive in Eledar tomorrow. Your presence is formally requested for one final dinner together. Please dress in formalwear. Jackets for the gentlemen, and gowns for the ladies. Thank you."

Boram is recruited to be one of the waiters.

"Yer' kiddin' me, a waiter?" Boram laments to Crimson while working the rigging. "It's 'cause I'm a halfling, right? I took up seafarin' to get away from this sorta' thing!"

The slight sailor grumbles to himself the rest of the day, resolving to make a profit out of this somehow.

Boram will reluctantly work the dinner, but he will do his best to pocket as much fine silverware and whatever else he can get his hands on in a stellar passive-aggressive retaliation.

So, do bonds work the same way in this as Apocalypse World? Did Gleus and Boram complete that one? And... can I swap out the one I had with Chaney?

Realizing that he’s lying in a compromisable position Silvio’s first order of business is straighten himself out. Which surprisingly does put some strain to his well toned muscles. Perculiar, he thinks to himself and sits up, his vision slowly returning to him. He feels the his trusty rapier missing from his belt and stiffens. But before panicking his hand continues down to his boot and feels his hidden stiletto inside. The sun once again reflects from his flawless teeth as he smiles. It is then he feels the nibbling on his ears and reaches back to grab the crab nipping at his ear. ”Everyone wants a piece of the Silvio”, he says and throws the crab over his shoulder. He starts to inspect his cloths and to his horror he finds that the most noticeable tears are beneath his armpits, over his knees and ankles. Nothing to expose his toned biceps, spectacular thighs or magnificent abs. What here is useful or valuable to me? What should I be on the lookout for? What here is not what it appears to be?

Gleus returns to consciousness with a cough and a grunt before pulling his face out of the wet sand. He winces as pounding pain resonates in his head. He touches his cheek and his fingers bring back blood, he must have taken a blow to the head at some point. The big man slumps to his back then props himself up. He glances at Fishgut's (assumed) corpse. Poor bastard. Gleus gets up and tries to get his barrings. He sees Amy, Silvio, and Keith in the distance. He then takes a better account of himself.

He pulls the small bottle of throatburn out of his pocket, crinkles his nose in disgust and then tosses the bottle aside. I sure hope it was gnomish spirits that accounts for this bloody headache... Gleus clasps his necklace, and it comforts him. Just could not let your son die huh? Thank you Mother, Father. Then he reaches for Strogi's axe and his hand finds nothing. No. Gleus scans the beach. "No. No."

Gleus will see if his uncle's axe is anywhere amongst the wreckage.

Keith grunts at Amy, obviously a bit ashamed of himself. "It is annoying..." With that, he goes off searching for others. Soon he comes across Gleus.

"Gleus? You okay?"

"No, no, no!" Gleus desperately gasps as he desperately throws wreckage around. Eventually the poor warrior admits defeat and slams his fist into the sand and slumps his shoulders. He turns to Keith, "My axe...my uncle's axe. It is lost to me. The warrior looks very sad. Keith would assume the axe had much sentimental value.

Not sure if this is how it works, but I'd like Gleus to get a new bond, "Find my uncle's axe."
