Daurros:

Wow, those things are nasty. All that damage, especially after that one took 12 points of strength penalty! Also, with 6 folks who need it, can we provide three endure elements per day? Or does that eat up all of Toxim's spell slots?

I can only give up two slots, one for me and one for another. That leaves me two slots to play with, one transmutation slot and one other.

Warforged Fighter 2 / Incarnate 4 / Ironsoul Forgemaster 3

While Snem keeps blasting at the large cat 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18 Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6, Guard steps up to the creature, swinging his hammer from the other direction, taking in the movement into the swing: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24 Damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11

Fighter Level 9

Seeker and Daurros:

Spoiler:
Rules lawyer hat on.
From the rule book.
Spells and Critical Hits: A spell that requires an attack roll can score a critical hit. A spell attack that requires no attack roll cannot score a critical hit. If a spell causes ability damage or drain (see Special Abilities), the damage or drain is doubled on a critical hit.

So in this case ray of enfeeblement can score a critical. I only know because it came up in my game last night and I ruled wrong on the fly, as this is a change from 3.5.
Removes rules lawyer hat.

Ardanto starts whirling his weapons around like an angry buzz saw, trying to rend the cat into chunks, "Raarrrrrggghhh!" he yells, attempting to get it to face him.

Longsword +8 (1d8+8 19-20) 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 271d8 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
Longsword +8 (1d8+8 19-20) 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 111d8 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11

Critical confirmation:
Longsword +8 (1d8+8 19-20) 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 141d8 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13

GM

Snem blasts at the tiger that has Thoven as Daurros launch three arcane bolts into the same animal. Karkalla runs forward striking the tiger with her bow's blade as Guard brings his hammer down upon the beast.

At the front of the line The Finn's jab at the tiger with a series of blows landing two as Ardanto and Toxim working together drop the cat with a series of strikes

The last cat, seemly hurt drops Thoven as it withdrawals into the jungle.

Ok 1 cat down..not dead but down another one fleeing..anyone want to chase it? Anything else?

Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1

"Leave these animals be. They'll know enough to stay away from us for now on, I'll warrant."

Finn examines his wound and grimaces. "Father Thoven, can you bless our wounds?"

Female Shifter Rogue 9

Karkalla keeps her crossbow trained in the direction of the fleeing cat just to make sure it dosent change it's mind

GM

Urol goes over to examine the downed cat, who is unconscious but still breathing. "Oh look at this a live one! Do you think we could keep him? It be fascinating study a real live specimen!" The Gnoe says excitingly taking notes down on a scroll that he produced out of his many pockets

Warforged Fighter 2 / Incarnate 4 / Ironsoul Forgemaster 3

Guard looks after the fleeing cat, lowering his hammer. He won't be able to catch it anyway.
At Urols question he silently shakes his head, answering with a hard voice: "I doubt we are able to do that. For one, we don't have the space on the ship. Secondly, I don't think we have the means to contain that thing on the ship. The sailors will not want to have it aboard too. And lastly I think we can't feed the cat good enough."
The warforged glowers at the gnome shortly, continuing: "How long will that thing be unconscious, approximately?"

Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1

Finn shrugs. "It'll be unconscious for at least an hour, I suspect. I'm not a healer, though."

Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9

Daurros clears his throat, and looks to Urol. "Correct me if I am wrong, my naturalist friend, but wouldn't leaving it here unconscious be somewhat cruel? It is wounded and bleeding. The scent of blood will likely draw many scavengers, especially in an environment like this. It is quite doomed to die; should we not end it's suffering? Better a quick death than being eatne alive by other, nastier creatures."

Daurros thinks a moment longer, and adds, "And shouldn't we move the carcass off of our path? Whatever it attracts may well be here still when we return."

Female Shifter Rogue 9

"Well unless someone wants to convince it to be our friend." Karkall jokingly adds

Ranger 2/ Magus 7

"We should just leave it for now. Even if we heal it up, it probably won't be in a friendly mood."

Fighter Level 9

Ardanto shrugs his shoulders "It sure would make a handsome trophy rug, it would look super on my cabin floor." Despite his comments he makes no move to harm the beast. "I say heal it and let it go on its way, otherwise the super giant rodents might become a problem."

Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9

Daurros looks at his friend incredulously. "Heal it? Use up our resources on a beast that tried to kill us? You're madder than usual today, my friend! I am most assuredly against that. If no one else wishes to kill the beast, I will."

Daurros unsheathes his rapier, and moves toward the animal to dispatch it.

Warforged Fighter 2 / Incarnate 4 / Ironsoul Forgemaster 3

"I much rather have it dead than at our heels again in an hour." Guard supports Daurros.

Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1

"Just leave it. Live or die, it won't attack us again." Finn makes no move to stop Daurros, however.

Fighter Level 9

"It probably only wanted to kill one of us to eat, maybe we should of brought Avner along after all." Ardanto adds. He turns his back as Daurros approaches the helpless beast. "I told you killing the canaries would escalate," he mutters but also makes no effort to stop the slaughter.

GM

So killing the cat and moving on? Ok them

Urol sighs "Your right, be curl to leave him here and he could no longer hunt" He scribbles a few notes and starts back on the trail as Daurros moves to finish off the cat with his dagger.

Anything else before we move on? healing perhaps?

Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1

Finn asks Thoven for a little (non-sexual) healing again.

GM

Awww and Thoven was getting all hot and holy with anticipation

Male Human Cleric 5th

Thoven gathers those who are injured around him before delivering aforementioned (nonsexual) healing.

"Hmm. Perhaps so." Yet Daurros seems bothered not at all, and finishes off the creature.

Ranger 2/ Magus 7

"Wow,Thoven, you sure are nice to have around."

Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1

"Praise to the Silver Flame!" Finn solemnly declares, then he accompanies Urol forward into the jungle once again.

Female Shifter Rogue 9

Karkalla follows the Gnome although this time keeping a much closer eye on the surrounding jungle.

GM

Urol sighs as Daurros finished off the cat, Thoven calls upon the gift of the silver flame to heal the party and Guard, Finn and Ardanto drag the dead animal a bit ways off of the trail. The Gnome seems to be collecting plant samples and one the group gets back, Happily checks his map before leading off down the overgrown trail

Survival checks someone be useful here

Ranger 2/ Magus 7

It's nice to feel useful.

Survival 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19

Fighter Level 9

Ardanto shakes his head as he steps back from the dead cat, "I still maintain that this is a waste of a good rug."

He then walks back to the group and assumes his position in the roster.

GM

Your trek though the humid jungle goes without farther issue, and after almost another hour of fighting insects and the humidity the jungle parts to reveal the ruins of a large chamber, once held within the root of the ziggurat above but now open to the elements. Images of pouncing an d stalking cats grace what is left of the vine-strangled walls. Dozens of fungus covered jungle-cats statues lie scattered around the edge
of the exposed chamber. along with several strangely unweathered statues of men dressed in armor. Of the five passageways that once led further into the ziggurat's depths. only two remain uncollapsed.

Your map

If I have anyone in the wrong order let me know

Fighter Level 9

"Were they people?" Ardanto asks with a shudder, "puts a new light on the saying 'some days you are the pigeon and some days you are the statue'" He removes his helmet and starts to fasten the new contraption that Guard made.

Warforged Fighter 2 / Incarnate 4 / Ironsoul Forgemaster 3

Seeing the statues remends Guard of the threat of the creature that turns people to stone. He moves up foreward, in hopes of his previous thoughts to come true and, should they encounter that monster, him not being turned to stone.
Looking back at the others for them to be ready and have their preperations made, he starts walking towards the broader entry.

"Can anyone help them?" he asks over his shoulder, without looking back, but staring towards the passageways.

Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9

"Yes, I would guess these were once people, judging by their unweathered condition. Everyone be on your guard!" Daurros closes his eyes, and just tries to listen for anything.

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17 perception

Ranger 2/ Magus 7

Toxim slides over to Finn and whispers,
"Could you get hold of Urol to keep him from running in and getting himself stoned? I'll back up Guard."
Toxim then moves to provide cover fire for Guard, staying at least 15' back and off to a side.

Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1

"Master Urol, I hope you will stay close behind me. I would be fascinated to hear what you have to say about the local flora and fauna. For instance, this petrified cat -- what species would you say it is?"

While Urol responds, Finn carefully examines the ground in front of him; ruined temples are famous for their traps and snares for the uninvited...]

He also keeps his ears attuned to any sounds of life from within.

Perception: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (5) + 20 = 25

Magical beasts, I think. Need Knowledge arcana. Maybe Seeker can fill us in, since Daurros' last roll about them was pretty good ...

Fighter Level 9

Ardanto lifts his helm slightly so he can see Guard "Guard, can you lead me?" he heads over to the warforged hoping to place a hand on his shoulder so he can be led towards the danger while blinded.

GM

First off..woh everyone posted on a Saturday! All the info from Daurros roll was in the thread and yes it is a magical beast and Finn will have to renew his mage armor

Karkalla moves into the bushes as Ardanto and Guard move toward the tunnels, toxim stays close behind bow ready as Thoven Daurros and Finn stay back close to Urol who rambles on about the native plant life.

Karkalla, Duarros

Spoiler:
You can see something large in the right tunnel, it seems to pick it's head up as Urol talks

"The right tunnel, something large!" Daurros exclaims. "Don't hold back!"

A few arcane words, and a ball of fire streaks towards the beast, detonating right on top of it. Immediately after casting the spell, Daurros shuts his eyes.

Female Shifter Rogue 9

Does Karkalla have a clear shot and is she within 30 ft?

Fighter Level 9

Gulp, Mr Basilisk gets to go after Karkella, lets prey for a natural 20, King Harold, arrow through the eye!

Ardanto shivers nervously, terror grips his soul as he hears Daurros's shout his warning an a blast of heat washes over him, accompanied by the roar of the fireball spell. "What can you see Guard?" he asks, gripping his one sword tightly, his left hand holding the warforgeds shoulder.

I need to delay, until Guard moves and move with him.

Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1

Finn barks "Urol! Stay right here!" and moves towards the lizard, trying to keep his eyes averted.

Ranger 2/ Magus 7

Where the others seem to want to get close to the basilisk, Toxim keeps at a distance. He would prefer to be just close enough to make out the creatures form while peppering it with arrows.
"Keep back you fools! We should be executing a fighting withdrawal not a charge."

GM

Karkalla, by the map yes you have line of sight but it is 60' from you. Each square is 5'

Female Shifter Rogue 9

Karkalla will move to within 30ft and take a shot at the basalisk

"Keep your eyes on my feet! It's coming." Guard states with cold determination.

The basilisk is too far away for Snem to be able to attack, so the little blue ball hovers over the warforged's shoulder, readying a soul blast, should the monster get close enough.
