Warforged Fighter 2 / Incarnate 4 / Ironsoul Forgemaster 3

Damn the new-site bug...

Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9

Daurros looks for a rock or piece of rubble, casts light on it, and tosses it through the hole in the iron wall, then peers through.

perception 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16

GM

Sorry guys been having an odd few days, sorry for the update lag

Daurros readies a light spell tossing it though the hole as Guards counts down what he thinks might be a impending trap. Toxim and Finn however move into the room and explore a bit

Finn

Spoiler:

You do notice the pyramid looks like the top foot or so is not made onto the bottom. A lid perhaps?

Female Shifter Rogue 9

Karkalla also heads into the room to have a look around

Perception (+1 for traps)

1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25

GM

Karkalla

Spoiler:

You do notice the pyramid looks like the top foot or so is not made onto the bottom. Maybe it slides off.

Female Shifter Rogue 9

Karkalla jogs over to the pyramid "Hey over here I think we have something" She yells to the others and gives the pyramid top a small nudge

GM

Karkalla

Spoiler:
To try and open it I'll need a str check. Remember ya can have the others aid another and help open the top. Or do it yourself, or have someone else do it. Either or is fine

Female Shifter Rogue 9

"Think I'm going ta need some help with this." She yells over to the others

Str check

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Warforged Fighter 2 / Incarnate 4 / Ironsoul Forgemaster 3

"Hmm... Good thing I didn't bet on a second trap here... Don't mean there isn't one in here still." Guard comments, then moving in to help Karkalla:
STR: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16

Ranger 2/ Magus 7

What do I see in the area to the south?

GM

Without going into it, you can see a wall above the step and an archway leading deeper. But can make out nothing more without going closer or inside the archway

Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1

Finn helps with the pyramid lid (which he also noticed).

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

"Unggh...this is heavier than it looks!"

GM

Karkalla and Finn have little luck with the "lid" until Guards comes over and gives it a good heave. A great cloud of dust and foul air raises from the pyramid covering Guard , Finn Karkalla and even Toxim in dust.Need a fort save form you four

Inside lays what may have once been an elf. It's body wrapped in rotten linen and crumbling headdress and lays in the fetal position bound by brittle leather cords. A gold chain with a large blue pearl hangs from it's neck resting on the dead elves chest.

Also as I forgot earlier
DC 30 HISTORY CHECK

Spoiler:

The city depicted here is a potion of ancient city of Tomamoachan, the necropolis of the dead

Ranger 2/ Magus 7

Fort save 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22

Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1

<cough, hack, cough>

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24

Female Shifter Rogue 9

Fort save

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19

Using another action point

1d6 ⇒ 6

Warforged Fighter 2 / Incarnate 4 / Ironsoul Forgemaster 3

"What's that now?" Guard speaks looking at the dust and dead elf inside the pyramid.

Fort: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19

Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1

"I think it's a mummified elf. It has something around its neck, though."

Finn tries to detect any magical auras within the pyramid-coffin.

GM

Finn

Spoiler:
The item radiates strong transmutation magic

Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1

"Whoever he was, he has some kind of magical necklace. I guess he won't be needing it now," Finn comments as he reaches in to grab it.

Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9

knowledge (history) 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13

Daurros comes up to peer in the pyramid once the dust settles. "My, that necklace certainly looks inviting. Does it radiate magic, Finn?

"Everyone does understand, of course, that touching or removing it will, more than likely, cause some sort of 'bad' thing to happen, yes? The question being do we do it anyway? Perhaps we should at least let Toxim and Karkalla investigate for any physical traps."

Daurros studies the elf and accutrements (without touching), to see if there's any additional information he can gather.

knowledge (religion) 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (1) + 13 = 14
knowledge (arcana) 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (16) + 13 = 29
knowledge (history) 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24

EDIT: ninja'd. Consider my comments as before Finn's.

Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1

Finn stops before actually touching the necklace.

"Well, it can't hurt to double-check."

He carefully searches for any booby traps.

Take 20 on Perception for a total of 40.

Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9

"Good. In fact, When we're ready to grab it, allow me to use my mage hand cantrip from a ways over here. We can then adequately prepare and ready ourselves, as opposed to standard Millenium Falcon procedure."

Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1

"Whatever you say....mother."

GM

Finn

Spoiler:
You do not see anything that would be a trap as far as you can tell

Daurros

Spoiler:
Pearls are often used in magic items that enhance spells

Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1

"Seems safe enough to me. Daurros, go ahead and pick it up. We'll all step back a few paces."

Female Shifter Rogue 9

Karkalla heads for cover "Yeah go for it Daurros" She yells as encouragement

Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9

Daurros backs up a bit and uses mage hand to lift the necklace off of the mummified corpse.

GM

The necklace floats from the mummified elf a bit but takes a little work for Daurros to work it over the head with mage hand, damaging the headdress in the process. The necklace brakes free and floats into Daurros hand

Ranger 2/ Magus 7

cough, cough, hack, hack.
After clearing his throat, Toxim moves into the next area.

Perception 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1

Finn will follow, also checking for traps.

Take 10 on Perception => 30

GM

Toxim and Finn move into the next room with Guard,Karkalla and Daurros close behind. The floor of the room before you is covered by a huge circular disk it's face carved with dozens of concentric ring and hieroglyphs and shapes

At the far end is an opening to another chamber , flanked by two statures of elves in odd armor and headdress of snakes and bat wings. Standing between the statues is a desiccated elf in rotten linen wrappings and Golden snake headdress, . His eye sockets are empty but glow with an eerie pale light a golden necklace of bats and snakes hands across his chest. He lifts the Golden scepter in his left hand and speaks in a raspy, hollow voice. "Ladrões, poluidores dos saqueadores. Você FUJIRÁ ou você morrerá."

Toxim, Finn, guard and Karkalla are filled with dead as the dead elf speaks

Need will saves from you 4, actions? flee , fight or what? Also you guys saw no traps that you could tell

Just in case ancient elvish

Spoiler:

Ranger 2/ Magus 7

Ohh! A chance for an actual Linguistics check. I have never tried one of those.
Linguistics 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31
Will save 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20

Use the Arcane Bond to cast Protection from Evil

GM

Toxim

Spoiler:
I am guessing your using that on the floor. As you speak elvish and most likely have a small knowledge of the culture I gave ya no neg mods for the roll so

The hieroglyphs on the floor seem to follow a style that is close to modern elven astrological signs. It seem to be some kind of calender to track eberron's moons or maybe the plans themselves.

Female Shifter Rogue 9

Will save

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19

Karkalla speaks elven would she understand anything being said?

GM

It would sound a bit archaic but yes ya would.

Warforged Fighter 2 / Incarnate 4 / Ironsoul Forgemaster 3

Guard Will-save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13,
Snem Will-save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19,
waiting for the others and results of the save.

Edit: Guess I'll be running.

Fighter Level 9

Sorry for lack of posting, I have been checking in, but not had time to stay and post.

Ardanto watches everything with growing amusement from the rear of the party, conversing with Cecil the whole time, He has a real difficult time to stop him self pretending to be Godzilla and going on a rampage through the miniature city scape.

He dutifully follows along as they leave the model city behind and head onwards, "Urol is going to be so annoyed that he missed this," he comments to no one in particular.

"That is a fancy mill stone," he murmurs to Cecil at about the same time the ancient tattered mummy is illuminated by the groups light source, hearing the sharp intake of breath from the others, he pushes forward into any spaces that appear from fleeing adventurers.

Here is my save for when I can see it.

Will: +1(class) +0(wis) +2 (Iron Will) = +3* 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
*+1 on Will saves vs Fear

That is a 15, or a 16 if it is fear. I hope that is a save, as that Iron Will feat cost me proficiency in Bastard Swords.

GM

It only effected the first 4 in the room, as at the start of this round you are not in the room you would not be effected.

Fighter Level 9

I didn't notice the wall on the map, so I was busy editing my post when you put yours up.

Female Shifter Rogue 9

"Uh he is kinda annoyed that we looted the place and that we either Flee or die." Karkalla says getting her crossbow ready waiting to see what the others decide to do.

Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1

good thing Finn turned off the mercifulness of his spear...despite the GM's "no undead" comment

Will save: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29, +4 vs. enchantment

Finn thrusts his chin out defiantly at the dead elf's attempt to intimidate them.

In Elvish:

Spoiler:
"Who are you? Do you know that your civilization is long dead? There is nothing for you to guard any more."

GM

The dead elves eyes flash, or what passes for it's eyes at Finns words "A morte é um ladrão, mas porta. Você é um tolo, digno apenas morrer e estava esquecido!" It yells in it's hollow voice

Elvish

Spoiler:
Death is but a doorway thief. You are a fool , worthy only to die and lay forgotten.

Female Shifter Rogue 9

Elvish

Spoiler:

"Uh I don't suppose saying were sorry would help much would it?"

Diplomacy check

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21

Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1

Elvish:

Spoiler:
"Unless you can identify your heirs, I believe that we have as much right to this property as anyone else; once you're dead, your right of ownership ends. Certainly you'll agree that it's not being put to good use just lying on your chest," Finn reasons.

To the others, in Common:
"I'm pointing out that dead people don't have the right to own property, and unless he can identify a proper heir he can go get stuffed."

Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9

Daurros curses to himself. "All of the languages I speak, and I neglected Elven. Figures."

Looking keenly at the creature, he tries to identify it.

knowledge (religion) 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (5) + 13 = 18

To the others, he notes, "Interesting that he didn't attack immediately, as most guardians do. Either he's more merciful than you would expect an undead creature to be, or he's not what he seems."

Will save (in case it's needed as Daurros enters) 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25

Male Human Cleric 5th

Thoven does his best to peek into the room where it appears diplomacy is failing. He sturdies himself in preparation in case this turned into a battle.

GM

Daurros

Spoiler:

The elves of Aerenal, the oldest known elven culture are known for there obsession with death. You do recall that many of there heroes and rulers live on and are still part of elven culture as a type of undead creature called a deathless. From what you recall the deathless are widely respected in Aerenal culture and many elves inspire their whole lives to become one

Guard seems confused , and starts to run from the room, pushing the party out of his why as he flees. It is clear to the party the warforged is not gonna stop and they move from his path.

The elf seems to pause for a moment at Karkalla words but once Finn speaks nothing but anger is left in it's hollow voice as it shouts "Poluidores! Você colocará esquecido como a poeira!" Raising it's hand. You see a faint ripple of the air as the area around you explodes in a brilliant and hot white lightEveryone but Guard Karkalla and Thoven make a will save DC 19. If you pass you take 6 hp of damage, if you fail you take 12

Guard

Spoiler:

The only though in your head is to flee, to run and not stop, you see nothing in front you you as anything but obstetrical to be overcome as you run from the chamberYou may make a new save every round till you pass or the spell is done

Elvish

Spoiler:
Defilers! You will lay forgotten as dust!

New round everyone is in the same place except guard who is now 40' away from where he was

Ranger 2/ Magus 7

Will save 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20 Note: if he's evil, my save is 2 better due to [i]Protection from Evil[/i[

Toxim shoots an arrow at the undead elf 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15 Damage1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Female Shifter Rogue 9

"Guard where in the world are you going?" Karkalla's doesn't have time for an answer as the elf/s spell hits them. Expecting the worse she is more than mildly surprised when she emerges completely unharmed.
