His crossbow assembled, Orendel looses a bolt at the sentinel Dougal's rapier is harassing.

Heavy Crossbow: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 21d10 ⇒ 1

"I bloody HATE attacking from a distance!" he cries as the bolt sails off into the dark.

Orendel's first crossbow bolt flies well off into the darkness.

Meghan calls forth positive energy healing her allies, and trying to keep Orendel in the fight.

The sentinel discharges another arc of electricity, this time aimed at Silvio.

Blue Sentinel shocking arc ranged touch: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13

In case it wasn't clear, Cherry, Silvio, and Dougal are up now.

Silvio retrieves and re-tosses his dagger, once again hitting the sentinel. This time the damage is enough to kill the unusual monster, ending the fight.

"Well that was odd," says Cherry as she stows her bow. "Probably more stuff like this the deeper you go underground, I guess, huh."

With the electrically charged rock creatures out of commission, it is clear that their warning flashes were noticed by something. The slap of footfalls and the growing stench leads you to believe that these may be the notorious troglodytes that you have noticed before.

You have a few seconds to react or recover before the trogs are upon you.

One full round of actions before we will back in combat. Feel free to react as needed during that time.

As the last syllables of Silvio's spell resonante in the damp cavern, the first troglodyte warriors can be seen at the far end of the cavern, coming from the western fork ahead. They are a scaly dull green-grey with mottled spots and a spiny crest running up their backs and heads. They hold primitive weapons like clubs and javelins, but as they grow near, the stench of them becomes even more over-powering than before.

Each troglodyte emits an aura of stench for 30'. Each character within the aura must make a DC 13 Fort save or be sickened for 10 rounds. Thing is, you'll need to save against each creature within 30' of you. Once saved (or sickened) you won't be subject to the effect from that creature anymore. Right now, Silvio, Dougal, and Orendel are within the aura of at least one trog. Please save.

Draconic:

I suppose it's fitting that Orendel's dice rolls have been so crummy. NOTHING has ever gone right in this poor guy's life! :P

Orendel steps forward to close the gap and strike back at the trogs.

Poke!: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 81d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Bash!: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 231d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

EDIT: Critical Bash?!: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16

"Ouch," says Silvio, feeling a bit sorry for the troglodyte that Cherry effortlessly stabs.

"Guess I'm sticking with cruder combat methods here."
Silvio swings his book yet again.
Book, Sickened, Bless: 1d20 + 6 - 2 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 6 - 2 + 1 = 16; Nonlethal Damage, Sickened: 1d6 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (1) + 3 - 2 = 2
Intimidate on hit: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14

Trogs - Round 3 - concluded

Orendel moves forward as the trogs back away, maintaining contact. He stabs and misses then lunges his shield up under the chin of Blue Trog, satisfied at the bony crunch that comes from there.

Silvio clubs the same troglodyte on the head with his holy book, but somehow the foe is still standing, if only barely.

Yellow Trog swings at Orendel backs away from the figth and throws its javelin at Meghan. The spear hits her, but only with a grazing blow that does minimal damage.

End of Round 3

Orendel crit dmg with shield bash: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Trog Javelin: 1d20 ⇒ 19
Dmg to Meghan: 1d6 ⇒ 1
