A second chance for everyone, and now with a map of Branderscar

18 - As soon as we start taking people out we are on a clock. That said these guys won't be back for a while. If we capture and question them we could learn some valuable info and we might even be able to disguise ourselves as them to get into the fort. I think it's worth the risk of ambushing them.
20 - might as well look for but without anyone to detect traps we need to be very careful
13 - agreed but not too early leave it to next week and time our attack for that night. na dine can you cook something up? big OM which day of the week is it now?
12 - sure
19 - Good idea, might be hard to get to him, is the rookery in the fort? Who would like to do this?
4 - Maybe or maybe we could make up a reason and spread it. Maybe he's sleeping with captain Mott's wife. Doesn't matter if it's true if we can plant evidence and start a rumour.
Additionally
10 - someone must know what the father did, we might be able the leverage that.
11 - Big OM who is Bellamy Barhold?
9 - The dwarves might be another good way in. They are probably staying in town and the locals won't know them well. We could take them, disguise ourselves as them and have free access to the fort. (Claim the other dwarves have gone for some supplies of something)
Also there likely the be soldiers or servants that live in the town that we can question or even impersonate.

Remember: we have a bit of time to play with.
I am confident we can turn up evidence (or fabricate it) if needed to discredit people, not to mention the standard rumor-mongering and word of mouth.
We do not want to stand out, though, and newcomers who start spewing lies and inquiring as to the management of town will do just that.
Poison and the slow play are our allies, here.
Hobgoblin; Oracle 6 (Ancestor)
thought this might go better in character if I'm wrong let me know.
In the afternoon between lunch and dinner and the others get back Vank will follow them up stairs to do some planning. After checking no one is watching or listening he'll say "Can any of you put some sort of guard outside the door to warn us if anyone comes? once a guard is posted if posible he continues. "We need to do some planning. Stanislav, I mean Andres and I learnt much as I'm sure you did." After relaying the rumours he continues "I think we need to be careful not to strike too early, so need prioritize actions that don't show our hand. Then in a 7-10 day start taking out people more seriously, maybe next week's stew can be the trigger."
Big Om a quick question: what day of the week is it currently
Female Human Gravewalker Witch 4 (HP: 28/21 | F+1, R+2, W+4 | AC 10/10/10 | Init: +2; Per: +1, SM: +1)
Nadine nods at the various rumors they're hearing. "We should explore these. Especially if there is a hidden tunnel to the tower. But we need to learn more about these men. Father Donnagin, Lord Havelyn, Captain Zack Eddarly, Tacitus, Bellam Barhold, Kaitlyn Mott and her husband, Captain Franz Mott, and Captain Varning."
"I agree that poisoning the stew would be the greatest effect, but we would need to be ready to act quickly. Vank is probably right that whatever we do, poisoning the stew can be the final blow before the bugbears arrive."
Nadine wants to do some gather info on the people. I'm almost certain there's something up with the Motts that we can use to our advantage.
Nadine doesn't have the Poison Steep hex and I doubt we'll level before this concludes. We're going to need to find some poison, I think.
Female Human Gravewalker Witch 4 (HP: 28/21 | F+1, R+2, W+4 | AC 10/10/10 | Init: +2; Per: +1, SM: +1)
In fact, that's where Nadine will begin....Kaitlyn Mott.
"Tomorrow, I'm going to see what I can find out about dear Kaitlyn. It's likely she's a bored, simpering airhead. If I can befriend her, then we can learn about the entire tower. If she's prone to straying, perhaps we can steer her towards someone useful. If she's got fire, then she might be willing to kill her own husband for us." Nadine giggles at the thought.
I might need Robert with me. For all Nadine's talk, she has a Diplomacy bonus of only +3. If she finds something, though, she can intimidate the hell out of the girl.
Hobgoblin; Oracle 6 (Ancestor)
Vank nods "Be careful not to seem too keen, don't want to raise suspicions yet. We probably should identify a few people we can take out and replace should the need for us to disappear arises. I suggest looking for loners, new people to town and isolated families and then make friends with them. Additionally Lady Diane should order something complicated from one of the local trades people to give us an excuse to stick around for a week or two."
Male Human AC 19, T 13, FF 16 | Fort +1, Ref +4, Will +4 | Init +3 | HP 26/26 | Perception +2 Darkvision 60 Oracle (Dark Tapestry) 4
"A solid plan, Nadine. I would be happy to escort you and speak with this young woman with you. No time like the present, right?"
Hobgoblin; Oracle 6 (Ancestor)
"We should have some sort of plan before we go rushing off. That plan could be hang out at the bar and talk to any of the people of interest that Nadine outlined, but we should plan this or we will stuff this up."
Vank, Bellam Barhold is the owner of the Lord's Dalliance, where you are staying. I have no prefrences on the day on the number of days, so it can be what day you need it to.
Just to be sure, now it is more information on the people Nadine mentioned, starting with finding Kaitlyn Mott and perhaps some loners you can impersonate? Finding Kaitlyn Mott is no problem, but a few words on how you want to approach her. Furthermore a few words on how you go about finding the people yuo want to replace if needed.
Female Human Gravewalker Witch 4 (HP: 28/21 | F+1, R+2, W+4 | AC 10/10/10 | Init: +2; Per: +1, SM: +1)
Nadine and Robert will spend half a day learning what she can about Kaitlyn. Then she'll try to plan to just run into the young lady. She'll admit to knowing who Kaitlyn is, flattering her by saying that the wife of a Captain of the Watchtower is nearly nobility in a small town like Aldencross. She'll invite Kaitlyn to lunch with her the following day, hoping that either the young woman is too bored to have much other excitement or too gracious to refuse the invitation. Specifics of the approach will be modified as we learn more about her personality.
Nadine also wants to purchase supplies to brew some potions in the evenings.
Most if not all of the poeple you speak with have only praises for the beautiful Kaitlyn Mott. SOme wonders why she is married to captain Mott, but most assumes it is for practical reasons. She often walks among the stands of the marketplace picking out what food and clothes she needs to tend to the captain's needs. A few remarks that she seems sad as of lately.
Most surely you find her picking out a new cloak for her husband. You soon strike up a conversation and she seems pleased to speak to someone, you get the impression that few dare speak with her. She gladly accepts your lunch invitation, suggesting a rather public place, where many soldiers will be nearby, a wise precaution you summarise.
Hobgoblin; Oracle 6 (Ancestor)
Vank will go down to the bar, if there is anyone drinking alone there he will strike up a conversation, otherwise he'll head out in to town to have a look around looking for people not talking to the people around them.
Female Human Gravewalker Witch 4 (HP: 28/21 | F+1, R+2, W+4 | AC 10/10/10 | Init: +2; Per: +1, SM: +1)
Did we get any sense of personality on her? Ditz? Charming? Bored? Sharp-tongued? Lusty? I just want a hint of what makes her tick. Also, is she alone or does she have a maid/manservant?
Nadine returns to the inn in good spirits. She spots Stanslav and joins him. "Well, I found the young beauty. It seems few even have the audacity to talk to her. She wants to have lunch at one of the places in the square. I'm sure she doesn't completely trust me, but we'll get there. For now, I'm just hoping for any inside news of what's going on with her husband or in the Tower."
Interesting! Let's see how this goes. May Asmodeus guide my fate.
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Lol that's what I forgot - to pray to Asmodeus before rolling stats :)
I'm working on a cleric of Asmodeus, I should have her finished up tomorrow.
The basics: Jezebel Avenar despises that the hard work of the ambitious is wasted on the lesser people of the world. Her money is squandered by those too poor, weak, and stupid to make their own way in life. With Asmodeus' guidance, she will purify the unworthy with fire, burning away these parasites so that the strong and ambitious may rule in their stead.
I'm thinking of playing a Half-Orc Druid, but let's see what my rolls look like.
STR: 8 (Foible)
DEX: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
CON: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12 +2 (racial) = 14
INT: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
WIS: 18 (Focus)
CHA: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
I'll resubmit with my submission from your other thread, Om - Bili the Shiv.
Bili the Shiv - NE Halfling Rogue
S 9 D 20 C 9 I 14 W 8 Ch 16
crime: Murder
STR 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
DEX 18
CON 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
INT 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
WIS 8
CHA 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
And here's the actual character sheet for Bili
Here's the character sheet for Orgoth Crooktusk.
Here's a monk (flowing monk) that I've put together. Fluffy coming soon.
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Focus: Wis
Foible: Cha
Here is the crunch for my "bitten" Fighter. Still not sure about the archetype. I will work up his background before this time tomorrow.
interested. possibly anti-paladin. thinking he'd eventually head towards the path to lichdom. A lich-king! He'd just have to get assistants to help him in the necessary rituals.
would you allow a sword saint samurai?
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
going to bow out, those rolls are utterly average.
Sorry for the delay. Between internet troubles and the fact I'm GMing in a PFS gaming convention this weekend (Lissalapalooza in Sydney) I've been stretched for free time. Will be officially finished tonight.
@Thomas Glint: Thanks! I appreciate the link.
And yep, Drow-Descended racial subtype would be what was considering.
Incidentally, I was considering the Hidden Priest (Inner Sea Magic) archetype in addition to the Infernal Apostle:
link. Would that be acceptable?
Okay, Zarid Ralnor, half-drow Hidden Priest of Asmodeus, ready for perusal.
I've finished the crunch for Vank Stormfist now.
For some reason this thread doesn't appear on the recruitment message boards for me. Is something wrong with my account or should it be like this?

Submissions closes at midnight to night.
@Fnord72 - Vysin Blynde - Which class are you submitting?
@Neil Mansell - You can use both archetypes, but since you only have one domain, you would loose all domain powers.
Stanislav's background is complete and ready for review. I would happily incorporate any comments you might have. Let me know what you think.
Jal is finished and ready to go.
Made some changes, switch ancestral weapon for weapon professionacy greatsword (I think this replicates what I want for the character better). And minor changes to skills.
Yep, no problem with losing the domain powers. Also did some last minute corrections of Zarid's character sheet.
I think I'm all good to go, except for my familiar (which I know I won't have access to while in prison anyway). In case it matters, it will be a thrush (Ultimate Magic p. 120)

Ive decided that instead of Archibald hearing the voice of some Rakshasa related ancestor, the voice is an actual Rakshasa spirit who tried to inhabit his body (the way they reincarnate) but for whatever, it failed, instead becoming trapped in his mind, merged with him. Fearing that it might itself be destroyed it it simply got him killed, its since guided his thoughts towards gaining power (like Rakshasa do), in the hopes of finding some way to make Archibald immortal. So Archibald is an aspiring Lich.
His crime of high treason was earned when he tried to set himself up for rulership by changing papers found in the royal record to make himself eligble as an heir, 9th in line for the throne. The plan then involved a series of "accidents" over several years untill he himself would be on the throne. However his plot was found out by the Kings head advisor (Court Wizard?).
He blames himself for being caught, for not thinking far enough ahead, for not being more careful. Even so he wants vengeance on the advisor who landed him in this situation, ideally through becoming king as planned and then sending him to this place to suffer the punishment he is now meant to recieve.
Let me begin by saying two things. First of all thank you all for your submissions, they were of great quality, which leads me to the second thing. It has been difficult to select a few submissions among so many great ones. Many of you were tied with the ones selected. It really bugs me that I can not run another game but three would be to much with the other games I run.
The selected are in no particulate order:
Enchanter Tim - Nadine Laveau - Witch (Gravewalker)
Skorn - Stanislav Greymist - Fighter (Lore Warden)
Tim Woodhams - Vank Stormfist - Oracle (Ancestor)
Psionichamster - Robert Findlay - Oracle (Dark Tapestry)
Fallen Mage - Thomas Glint - Rogue
Please head to the discussion thread. To the rest of you best of luck getting accepted in another WotW game, I will apply along side of you.
Woot! Thanks, GM.
Gratz to my fellow villains!
Thank you GM for picking tow oracles, I was a little worried with all the Oracles and the other were so well written.

Congratulations to those picked. Looks like a great group. Wish I could be there.
Congrats guys! Melt some faces for the rest of us.
Good luck all, Anthony I quite liked your application but there was a thread a while back that I found quite useful and you might as well. Link. Good luck with your 4th application.
yeah up to 8 (9 if you count the double rejection.)
I think I'll start a new thread or something...
I'm up to 3 or 4 now too... They're very hotly contested, these WotW spots!
Good luck and have fun folks.
I think the worse one was when I got PM to join a game when someone wsa dropping out. then after I accepted they got back a few days later syaing they picked a different replacement. that was just rude...
