Rolling for Leo - hope you're OK hopeless?
Struggling with the sticky mess of spider web impairs Leo's aim considerably. Calling on Kelemvor to divinely challenge the chittering ettercap, he swings his longsword and misses. Flurried by his own failure, he somehow cannot muster the strength to break free of his bonds.
Leo v Divinely challenged E2 (1d20 8=13, 1d8 5=7)
Leo save v immobilisation (1d20=2)
Ahem. Apologies, Leo...
The webspinner raises its mandibles once more and lets fly with a gout of sticky web, aiming at Brujo. The stuff wraps itself around the hapless swordmage, restraining him. The clicking and chittering rise in pitch as the ettercaps converge on the party, screeching horribly in humanoid ears as the echoes bounce around the basement.
Sure of a comfortable meal, the webspinner moves towards Brujo, fangs dropping into its mouth as it prepares to bite.
Web Net (Ref) v Brujo (1d20 9=20). That hits, so Brujo is restrained, which grants combat advantage to foes.
Spider Bite (AC). On hit, Webspinner makes a secondary attack (v Fort) to deliver 5 ongoing poison damage (save ends). (1d20 10=30, 1d6 3=4). Crit. Brujo takes 9hp damage and Webspinner takes a secondary attack.
Spider Bite Secondary attack (Fort). On hit 5 ongoing poison (1d20 8=16). That also hits. 5 ongoing poison damage to Brujo (save ends)
The spiders move in to the attack. The two already in view are abruptly joined by two more, leaping from the ceiling in response to the Webspinner's clicks.
S1 attacks Snaggletooth, sinking long fangs easily past the kobold's defenses.
Bite (AC). On hit 5 ongoing poison and slowed (save ends both) (1d20 6=18, 2d6 3=10). 10 hp damage to Snaggletooth, 5 ongoing poison and he is slowed. Save ends both.
S2 tries to take advantage of Brujo's temporary restraint, but its own wounds are too distracting and it misses.
S3 lands next to Fairwind and before she can do anything sensible about it, the ranger is knocked flat and injected with spider venom.
Death from Above (AC). On hit does an extra 1d6 damage and target is knocked prone, along with 5 ongoing poison and slowed (save ends both) v Fairwind (1d20 6=26, 3d6 3=12). Crit. Fairwind takes 18 damage and is prone. She is also slowed and taking 5 ongoing poison damage. (Save ends both).
S4 drops beside Cronin, startling the cleric and allowing the arachnid to push him over.
Death from Above (AC). On hit does an extra 1d6 damage and target is knocked prone, along with 5 ongoing poison and slowed (save ends both) v Cronin (1d20 6=21, 3d6 3=16). 16hp damage to Cronin, prone, slowed, 5 onging poison. (Save ends both).
My boys done good. Damage summary for this turn so far I think.
Brujo - took 9 damage and is restrained, granting combat advantage, but not in difficult terrain.
Caine - slowed and taking 5 ongoing poison, in difficult terrain
Cronin - took 16 damage, is prone, immobilised, slowed and taking 5 ongoing poison. In difficult terrain.
Fairwind - took 18 damage, is prone, slowed and taking 5 ongoing poison. In difficult terrain.
Leo - In difficult terrain, immbolised.
Perigia - unharmed, not in difficult terrain.
Snaggletooth - took 10hp damage, immobilised, is slowed and taking 5 ongoing poison, in difficult terrain.
Snaggletooth is up - immoblised, slowed and taking 5 ongoing poison

Rolled a 16 for the save so Leo isn't immobilised any longer so he'll employ a valiant strike against spider#2 so rolled a 4 adding +8 from skill with longsword and a further +3 thanks to valiant strike granting +1 per adjacent foe for a total of 15 vs their AC which if it hits does 1d8+4 dmg so rolled 5pts of damage IF it hits can you confirm if I have an available action pt since the last time we rested we faced the shar's creatures, then Barthus and then that crypt of his and now this so does that qualify?
Leo breaks free of the webbing and strikes at the bloodied spider.
Reread valiant strike's description got it mixed up with piercing smite if that action is available will employ it now with a valiant strike on spider#3 for a total of 18 to hit doing 7pts of damage to it and divine challenge it to draw it off of Fairwind of course thats if I haven't miscounted

Do I get my interrupt? For riposte strike? If that thing bit me, I should hope so. d20+8 vs. AC, 13, miss, I think, if hit, 4hp
Snaggletooth desparately stabs at the spider as it approachs and misses. He snarls as the poison seeps thru his body. "Not good enough, eightlegs, I am stronger than you!"
riposte strike (d20+8 vs AC, 24, d6+3, 8hp damage and setup interrupt
Without being able to move effectively, Snaggle still focuses on the spider in front of him. He lashes out and draws blood and again waits for a response.
save vs poison and slow, 12
Rev DM
You certainly do get your interrupt. It missed, but you'll get another next round if the thing attacks you again.
Snaggletooth stays calm and stabs efficiently at the spider looming over him. He forces himself to throw off the effects of the poison and prepares himself to stab again if the spider shows the least sign of attacking.
Fairwind is up. Prone, immoblised, slowed, 5 ongoing poison, difficult terrain. I'm not gloating - I just need to try and remember all this myself.

"Gorram Spiders!" Fairwind curses, before slashing her way through the webs to slice up the arachnid foe.
How many saves must I roll, please?
Rev DM
One. I made a mistake anyway - you saved against the immobilisation on your last turn, so you're only saving against the new set of ongoing poison and slowing. Apologies.
Fairwind's second attack deals some satisfying damage to S3.

Leo, you're quite right. You all have an AP - which may be of some relevance to you all.
Neither 15 nor 18 hits the spider AC. However, unlike the rest of the party, you can move. Could you confirm your position for me?
Sorry forgot to mention after the attacks Leo would move so he's standing outside of the webbed zone allowing Brujo a flanking bonus against spider#2. Did consider moving so he was standing between spiders#2 & 3 but the area as difficult terrain would make shifting impossible I think

With a might effort of will, Brujo forces the effects of the poison from his body, even as his blade flames and sears into the flesh of S2. Surely the hideous creature cannot survive much longer.
OK. Brujo is still restrained, but no longer poisoned or slowed.
Fairwind still needs to make a save v ongoing poison and slowing. Just one save against both of those.

I'm slowly getting a feeling that we need to re-group. Clovis, I posted way ahead of you in the IC thread here. :D

You might need to plan a little here. The bad guys are rolling well and while they're not particularly tough, they can give you a lot of trouble with their ongoing effects. As you're finding out.
Fairwind, you're no longer immobilised, slowed or taking poison damage. You are still on difficult terrain.
Rev DM
The ettercap clicking rises again as E1 stands up and hacks wildly at Brujo, slicing easily into the restrained swordmage.
Greataxe v Brujo (1d20 11=27, 1d12 7=12). 12hp damage to Brujo. Manually amended damage. Ettercaps roll at +2 with +2 damage versus a restrained or immobilised opponent.
E2 attacks Leo in the same way, taking advantage of the paladin's momentary distraction.
Greataxe v Leo (1d20 11=24, 1d12 5=11). 11hp damage to Leo.
E3 shifts and opens its jaws again, delivering a vicious bite. Its attempt to inject the open wound with poison is mercifully a failure.
Spider bite v Brujo (Ref) - on hit allows secondary attack v Fort (1d20 11=20, 1d6 6=10). 10hp damage to Brujo and gets to make a secondary attack - which failed. Total damage to Brujo 22hp. Status?
To his horror, Snaggletooth's heightened senses alert him to the arrival of yet another ettercap.
Caine is up - slowed, ongoing 5 poison, diff terr.
Leo - no ongoing effects

Cronin, I hate to rain on your parade, but you can't do that. Immobilised means you can't move. In addition you are slowed, and on difficult terrain, so you wouldn't be able to shift either. You can stand up and cast Sanctuary however.
Sorry, lack of clarity my fault. "Shift" as in razorclaw shifting, not as in move.

"And as for you, consider yourself challenged!" Leo taunts one of the remaining ettercaps surrounding Brujo.

Leo flails wildly with his sword, missing the Webspinner, but successfully challenging E4.
The Webspinner moves in to attack the courageous paladin, long fangs seeking to inflict further wounds and inject poison into them. The initial bite is only small, but Leo flinches as cold poison slides down the fangs and into his bloodstream.
Spider Bite. On hit makes secondary attack v Fort to inflict ongoing 5 poison and slowing to target. (1d20 10=23, 1d6 3=4). 4hp damage to Leo and Webspinner gets a secondary attack.Secondary attack (Fort). (1d20 10=23). Secondary attack also hits. Leo is slowed and takes 5 ongoing poison damage. Save ends both.
The spiders are urged on by the high pitched clicking of the ettercaps, undeterred by the fall of their packmate. Bounding like strange puppets off the walls, they reposition themselves, dropping down on the companions in an eerie parody of a child's playground toy.
S1, slowed by Perigia's timely ray of frost, lunges at Snaggletooth once more, but misses the kobold. S3 jumps towards him, joining its kin and has better fortune.
Death from Above. On hit target takes 5 ongoing poison and is slowed and knocked prone. (1d20 6=26, 2d6 3=9, 1d6=2). Crit. 17hp damage to Snaggletooth, who is now prone, slowed and taking 5 ongoing poison.
S4 attempts to take Commander Caine by surprise, but the warlord is too old a hand to be fooled by mere arachnids and the attack misses.
The spiders used their Death from Above ability, allowing them to shift up to 6 squares and make a bite attack, which on a hit does extra damage and knocks the target prone.

picking on the kobold, eh? well, I was hoping for an opportunity on S1 when he moved, but it sounds like S1 did the jump-bite move which is a shift and just missed the bite. I do however get a riposte strike on S1 before his buddy nearly bites my head off! (d20+8, 27, (almost a CRIT!) d6+3, 8hp) then I get bit and poisoned. Stupid spiders! On Snaggle's turn, he stands up (move), attacks S1 again, (riposte strike, d20+8, 10, Crap!) Miss, but wait.... nasty backswing on S1 (d20+10, 27, d6+6 +2d8+3, 5+6+13+3=27 hp) I hope he's dead or bloodied. Finally, action point- second wind +4hp (thanks, Caine) and saving throw +3 (thanks Caine again). at start of turn, 24-17=7, very bloodied, (bloodied is 21) do I take an additional 5 poison this turn or only if I don't save? Crap! I looked it up. So I am at 2hp when I start my turn. After my second wind action point, I am at 16hp and bloodied. my save is 8+3=11, so I am not poisoned or slow and I have +2 to all my defenses, AC 19, F 17, R 19, W 16. Phew!
I'll let you describe that round, Rev. :)
While pulling himself together after that terrible attack, Snaggletooth shouts to others, "One eightlegs I can handle, two is too many! Someone help me!"
oh, and if by some chance I killed S1 with my riposte attack, the miss, nasty backswing are all directed at S3 and omit the part about two spiders.
Rev DM
There is a sudden eruption of movement from the corner where Snaggletooth is trapped with two spiders. Almost before you can register what happens, S1 falls in a pile of furry legs, unable to withstand the kobold's vicious attacks. For all his words about not being able to deal with eightlegs, it looks as if Snaggletooth just found a few vulnerable spots.
S1 is dead. You took him to 0 exactly. There is no point in keeping one for questioning.

Not sure I'll up when my turn comes around. So I'm gonna post my action early. So feel free to change by the time Fairwind and Perigia post
Looking around at the ettercaps and the webspinner, Brujo weighs his actions and wonders the best way for the others to escape. A smile appears on his face and he turn his head toward Caine. "If this doesn't work make sure to get the others out of here."
Brujo takes his sword and drops it blade first infront of him. He turns back toward the ettercaps, "This may hurt a bit"
The sword impacts the ground and erupts into a roaring inferno
Incendiary Blade on my square (F14); Attack on E1, E2, W, Caine and myself 1d20+6-2=24, 1d20+6-2=17, 1d20+6-2=12, 1d20+6-2=6 and 1d20+6-2=7 all vs. Will; Damage 2d6+6=15 fire damage, and the targets takes 5 fire damage if it makes an attack that does not include me on its next turn.
Brujo stands singed, the blade now reforming in his hand. With all his stregnth takes another swing the ettercap.
Spend an action point; Greenflame blade on E1 1d20+8=18 vs. AC; Damage 1d8+5=8 cold/fire damage, plus E2 and W both take 2 fire damage.
Save vs. restrained 1d20=7
*Gah just noticed I rolled a crit for E1 on the incendiary blade, he should take 18 points of fire damage, plus another +1d8=7 damage

Did Brujo remember to restore 4 hp when he used that action point? Or add +3 to his save? Caine took that feat for just such a reason. I think we have been forgetting that Caine's mere presence grants us bonuses when we use APs. Just asking. I would like us to survive this fight.

Perigia's magic missile blasts into S3, and an eye swivels to look at the mage, possibly sizing up her as its next target.
Brujo - do you mean E2 or E3? E2 is over by Leo, so I'm guessing your targets were E1, E3 and W.
Brujo's attack, meanwhile is a veritable explosion as his sword takes on a life of its own and blasts arcane fury at the surrounding foes. E1 and E3 take solid hits, but the Webspinner ducks easily away from the force of the blast. His follow up attempt is also successful, the blade finding an unexpected opening in the chitinous covering of E1. The creature has clearly sustained severe damage.

Holy Symbol of Hope daily effect grants an immediate reaction allowing Leo to make a save now against an ongoing effect and grants him a +5 power bonus against it, rolled a 7+5 for 12 meaning both the poison and slowed effects have been cancelled by the symbol I believe

Seeing his small companion besieged by the arachnids, Cronin stands and growls through his elongated "muzzle," "This shall not be." A silver glow expands out from him, engulfing Snaggletooth and Perigia, as well as E4 and S3. Cronin looks physically more powerful as well, as the power of his goddess heals him and purges his body of the poison.
Take 5 ongoing, down to 10. Standard: Divine Glow -- crit on E4 for 14hp; 20 vs S3 ref for 11hp. Snaggletooth and Perigia get +2 to hit through my next turn. Healing word, back up to 27hp (not bloodied). Save vs poison/slow successfully, thought I still needed to save vs immobile -- if so, I failed.
Divine Glow vs Ref, E4, S3 (1d20+6=26, 1d20+6=20, 1d8+5=11)
Crit damage; Healing Word; Save vs poison/slow; Save vs Immobil (1d6=3, 1d6+4=8, 1d20=18, 1d20=1)

Correct. Cronin needed to save v immobilisation as well.
A fierce glow streams from Cronin's holy symbol, casting strange shadows on the walls and bringing outraged clicks from E4 and a visible wince from S3. Both Snaggletooth and Perigia realise that the power of Selune has strengthened them and the shifter cleric stands taller, suffused with the power of his goddess. For all that he cannot yet seem to leave this spot, Cronin remains formidable.
S3 is bloodied.
With a renewed frenzy of clicking, the ettercaps attack, focussing their attention on the swordmage for the most part. Enraged, they make no attempt at subtlety, but just try to hack him apart with their greataxes.
E1 v Brujo (1d20 9=26, 1d12 5=8). 8hp damage to Brujo
E3 v Brujo (1d20 9=23, 1d12 5=17). 17hp damage to Brujo. Bloodied again, I fear. Total 25 damage from the ettercaps.
E2 takes a leaf from the same book and hacks eagerly at Leo, but misses completely, almost overbalancing in the process.
E4 advancing clicking wildly on Snaggletooth, and swings hard at the kobold. The blow is assured and Snaggletooth slumps under the impact. Even as it strikes, the ettercap clicks in agony as the power of Leo's divine challenge hits it. 6hp collateral damage to E4 for not attacking Leo.
E4 v Snaggletooth (1d20 9=23, 1d12 5=12). I have you on 4hp after that attack.
As the painfully high clicking reaches a crescendo, a fifth ettercap emerges from behind the boxes where it has been lurking since the start of the battle. It heads purposefully towards Fairwind.
