I got Pact Worlds installed into PCgen, but the archetype I'm using doesn't appear to be an option. I'm guessing that's because one of the archetype features would be very hard to implement (the one that lets you use more magic items than normally allowed)
edit: I dug around in the data files, and it looks like that archetype is coded, so I wonder why it's not an option.
Chivix |
I looked into it, and it appears that the archetype is commented out for some reason. Probably needed to test something and forgot to uncomment it. Open the spw_abilities.lst file in a text editor and remove the # symbol from the start of lines 247-253 and 301-305.
Also, if you have any more comments/questions, you can send me a private message so as not to clutter up Bigboom's thread :)

[Dice=boon]1d20 +10
Look I got a 19 wink,wink
Congrats! Can you now give me a d2 roll please?
GM bigboom |
Sorry, Bigboom, moved this to PM.
No worries! I actually find this interesting since I'm also a PCGEN user.

Two questions before slotting boons:
1. Is there starship combat?
2.
Once per scenario as a free action, you may recollect your dealing with the gangs of Absalom station to provide insight into dealing with other gangers. Doing do grants you a +1 insight bonus to Bluff, Diplomacy and Intimidate checks made when interacting with street gangs or other suitable gang-like groups at the GM’s discretion. You also gain a +1 morale bonus to attack and damage rolls against members of a street gang. Both bonuses increase to +2 if the gang members belong to a gang based on Absalom Station. These bonuses last for 1 minute.
GM bigboom |
1. Nope, there is no starship combat
As for #2:

Hey Guys, I'm going to give Wolfspirit a little bit more time to check in before moving on, especially as the site went down for a while. In the meantime, feel free to RP the gather information rolls a bit if you wish!
Chivix |
I seem to have misplaced my SFS folder after Origins., so I don't know what boons Chivix has available. Would it be possible to slot them later if I can find the folder?
I do have a SFS shirt, though. And a Paizo goblin if that helps.
GM bigboom |
Yup, that's no problem. If it helps you out, let me know which scenarios Chivix has completed and I can share blank chronicle sheets with you for those scenarios, assuming I own them. That way, you'll at least have an idea of what boons Chivix has earned...
Bakoyo "Flameclaw" |
Bigboom: Given the recent blog post, is it okay if I spend 2 Fame to buy the Second Seekers (Jadnura) boon and slot it for my Faction this game?
GM bigboom |
Bakoyo, that's absolutely fine. Just change the faction slotted value you currently have listed in slide #2.
Twich, will do, thanks!!!
GM bigboom |
Paizo site has been having a rough time staying up, eh?
I'm going to wrap up the boon rolls for TK423 and Wolfspirit while the site is up!
TK423 had previously already rolled a 19...
TK423 Boon selection roll: 1d2 ⇒ 1
Wolfspirit boon roll, 19 or 20: 1d20 ⇒ 19
Wolfspirit boon selection roll: 1d2 ⇒ 1
TK423 and Wolfspirit, congrats! You both win the Mining Laser starship boon!

Couple of questions on telepathy, since I've seen it run a few ways:
Can a non-telepath send a thought to Chivix, or does Chivix have to initiate the telepathic conversation?
Is it only 1-to-1 with Chivix, or can Chivix basically have a telepathic conversation with multiple people at the same time, essentially creating a group telepathic bond?
Chivix |
So, anyone with telepathy can initiate a telepathic conversation with anyone else, as long as they are in range and share a common language. I'd not allow a non-telepath to initiate the conversation, as any telepath would consciously be blocking out the rest of the world most of the time, lest the random thoughts drive them mad.
They way I read it for multiple telepathic conversations (and the way I've always played it with Chivix) is that the instigator of the conversation can talk to all others in the conversation, but the others can't hear each other. So, if you wanted to have a telepathic conversation with 2 other people, in order for them to talk to each other, they'd have to relay the conversation through you.
That's the way I play it as a GM, and how I RP it. YMMV
GM bigboom |
I'm in agreement with Chivix's approach.
And to Twich's point, if you want to retroactively agree on a signal, I'm fine with that.
Chivix |
Chivix is fascinated by the behaviors of mammal life forms, but not very attuned to them. Anything subtle would likely be missed. Anything un-subtle...well, what's the point? :)
Pointing repeatedly at your head would likely work :)

Your GM would sure love to see that...
However, Ceobarn probably won't be much impressed but hey, it's all in the delivery, right?

Sing a song about the fall of the Drow house not offering aid.
GM bigboom |
Twich's last post wraps this portion up so no more rolls needed. But feel free to RP a bit. I'm hopping onto a plane soon so will post the next portion later on!
GM bigboom |
Hey guys. Bad luck/news... I caught the stomach flu and am bedridden with stomach problems and a fever that won't go away. I'll probably be out of commission for at least a couple days. I'll start posting again as soon as possible. Sorry for the inconvenience!
GM bigboom |
Aye! That I did!! The timing of my illness and Paizo goin down is more than a little suspect... isn't it???
Anyways, I'm back guys! I'll get the next post up ASAP!
GM bigboom |
Alrighty guys, seeing as we're now moving around on a map with lots of doors, I'm happy to implement a door opening & room searching standard procedure if you guys want.
Also, just a reminder, I go by the rule of two, so once I see two people agree to do something, I'll assume the whole party goes with it.
For example, if at least two people decide to move to the next room, I assume everyone agrees. And if there is a standard operating procedure the group agrees to, I'll run that.
Just my suggestion for SOP:
This highest perception PC takes 20 on a door.
If there is a trap, the party's best engineer will take 10 with others skilled in engineering assisting. If preferred, I can roll for the engineer rather than do a take 10.
If the door is clear, group gets into formation and opens the door.
Chivix |
Happy to have a process. Chivix and Gravy have a +13 Engineering modifier, and a +10 to Computers. We would also suggest instantiating a telepathic link with whomever is opening the door, so Chivix can explain what he knows without sounds in a delicate situation.
Or explosives. Whichever.
Twich |
I'm not feeling well, so please bot me if I'm holding things up.
Twich also has +13 to engineering.
Please feel free to use limited resources like spells when botting if needed.
TK423 |
I have: Perception +9 and Engineering +10. So I will be assisting it looks like.
Captain Brobdingnagian |
Looks like we're back in the swing of things... just in time for me to head off to DragonCon. I'll try and make a post a day, but if needed, feel free to bot me.
GM bigboom |
Note to self regarding SOP:
TK423 takes 20 perception on doors for 29
If there is a trap/lock, Chivix takes 10 engineering for 23. Brob, Chivix, Twich, and TK423 take 10 assist for a total of 31 (impressive!)
If the door is clear, group gets into formation and opens the door.
GM bigboom |
Woops, I just realized I fail at math! I double counted Chivix so in reality with the take 10s, the group would have a total of 29, not 31.
This means the team was actually not able to take 10 their way through the couple of previous locked doors but that's okay, we'll leave what already happened as-is!
The corrected SOP numbers are:
TK423 takes 20 perception on doors for 29.
If there is a trap/lock, Chivix takes 10 engineering for 23. Brob, Twich, and TK423 take 10 assist for a total of 29.
If the door is clear, group gets into formation and opens the door.

It rhymes with "now" or "cow", according to an old Forgotten Realms text (2nd ed, I think). Of course, if you look at the etymology and assume it came from old scots-norse mangled mythology then most likely it should be pronounced "duh" with the silent r and the mushy mouthed ö.
GM bigboom |
Awesome, great to have you back, Brob!!
I too have always heard drow as rhyming with cow. But to me, I think it sounds better pronounced as rhyming with crow - just a personal preference tho.

The plush toy found in Villyth's office give you the option to download Abysshead's music album for free. I'll need to know if anyone decides to download it? Twich has already decided not to download it, which I've noted in slide 5.
Does anyone want to download it?
