Fan Favor:

You know that there is a live audience, and part of keeping Zo! happy is keeping the audience engaged. They are rating you and your performance as you go. You have a few ways to gain favor with them.
Persona: developing an easy one or two word "image" that the audience can quickly relate to "the tough one" or "the smart one" "the leader" etc. And then play up to it.

The Booth you will be pulled into The Booth at least once, possibly twice, during the filming, when you will be questioned. When you're in there, you can make a CHA based skill check (releveant to your 'persona') to gain fan favor.

Risks: By taking an extreme risk for the cameras (like Fuskee's dive past the spiny creature) and normally with a penalty associated with it! you can entrench yourselves in the hearts of the audience.

Drama: Make the show good. Especially durinig hte "boring" times for the audience, quick one liners, practical jokes, or erudite observations - all help with keeping the audience engaged - and focused on You.

Infamy.. Every show needs a villian. If you want to play the bad guy.. that will certainly get the audience going, but might have some far reaching consequences for you...

Several crewmembers fire grapplers and adeptly hoist themselves and their equipment up to join your team.

The region beyond is a large cavern that sparkles with phosphorescent fungi represented by the trees on the map whose caps span as much as 10 feet in diameter.

The goblins’ explosion from below has buckled the cavern floor here, leaving a concentric impression in the ground where there appears to have just been unaffected stone before. These buckled rings are about 1 foot high. stepping across one costs 1 extra square of

As you look around there is a small shudder, not as an explosion, but more like (for thost of you have spent time planetside) a small earthquake.

Three dwarves appear on the other side of the cavern. They look at your oddly and then one steps forward to speak.

Saryn looks to see if any of the others understood the dwarf. He looks to the ghast and her crew, but realizes how futile that is. If no one understands them, he calls back in common. "I'm sorry, but we don't understand." He makes a show of shrugging his shoulders and raising his hands. "Do you speak common?"

Fuskee stays at the back of the group and just shrugs as he sips at his flask. "I don't know... System Reboot?" he tries some computer lingo since he's good with computers to see if that gets them to do anything.

Now that he knows they share a language if not an understanding of that language, Saryn will attempt to use his Telepathy. "Hello. I am Saryn, we are here to explore."

I'm not even going to pretend to be savvy enough with computers and machinery to actually do this, but if the telepathy doesn't work, Saryn will use computer and engineering jargon to at least be able to impart some rudimentary ideas to her. Anyone is welcome to to give their input.

Kato looks over at the undead crew "Any of you understand these guys? Could we get a translator down here?" How did I forget to pack a translator. This is the exact same thing that happened on Tooineta with the Raiders of the sand. Kato, sometimes you can be a real idiot.

That we are

Showing signs of frustration, the dwarf points to you, to her and her two companions, and a passageway. She then starts to move toward it, gesturing for you to follow her.

Lets have a social encounter with first level characters and specifically have them not speak common, and then not really provide a way around it.

Following? She doesn't seem very happy with you, so a pantomimed diplomacy check might be helpful here. If you do so, it will be at -4

As you move along, Wazasha pulls Chaiyek aside into The Booth.

Chaiyek:

"Wow, not often you can't make mental contact with folk...how do you feel about that?"

Then, "A bit odd they don't speak Standard... do you think you can trust them?"

The dwarf nods, seemingly happy at Saryn's meek following. She points to herself "Ylga"

With Ylga's help, it only takes about half an hour to navigate down into the tunnels. However, you arrive at her Camp to see that the settlement is in distress! You can clearly see that that there are bursting pipes (strangely built to resemble rocky outcroppings) and a fissure split down the middle of the settlement’s cavern, dropping a massive chunk of stone to crash into a Temple facade. Numerous dwarven corpses line the cavern, and a few dozen survivors are struggling to break through the boulder or one of the reinforced walls to get inside the temple, where you gather one of the dwarves is trapped inside.

Ylga quickly introduces you all to her clan and coordinates the dwarves in their rescue effort. After some examination, she determines that there are two likely ways to get in and help the trapped dwarf remove the boulder or send in a small group through the fissure. Several dwarves determine that the fissure’s trajectory should lead to its intersecting with the temple’s rear rooms, but the trench has partly filled with an unknown, viscous fluid.

Once it’s clear to Zo! that there are multiple ways that the you might enter the temple and launch a rescue, he booms over the feed: "How will our heroes rescue whomever is inside? Let's have you help decide!""

Wazasha lets you know that the audience is voting on what you should do next, and the pulls up a holographic display from her wrist computer to show the votes as they’re cast. Every time the dwarves identify one option’s difficulty, painfulness, or uncomfortable circumstances, the voting for that option surges. Ultimately, though, the audience votes for you all to clamber through the strange fluid-choked fissure to sneak into the temple from behind.

The ghast shrugs and adds, "Of course, this vote is non-binding, but defying the fans can anger them..."

You look and scan the fissure. The camera team directs lights and telephoto lenses down there too. It cuts through the cavern wall and curves around as it finds seams of stronger stone. The fissure itself is only about five foot tall, and unfortunately mostly filled with an oily liquid.

Saryn quickly identifies it as a synthetic lubricant - similar to what you mind find in a mechanical engine or a hydraulic system. Apart from being very slippery it has to immediately harmful properties.

If you wanted you could brace against the walls and try to stay clear of it... that would look good for the cameras..especially if you took a bit of risk for them..

At seeing the scene Kato feels sympathy for this community and excitement at meeting a new society. He tries to remember if he ever met another society of dwarves before.

Jed seeing that the people want them to go through this fluid filled crater will try his best to stay along the wall and not touch the fluid.

With that he slips down onto any ledge that he can find to try and stay out of the liquid.

not sure what checks I would need for this. I intend to take the risk and try not to end up in the fluid.

Fuskee quickly falls into the oil. While very slippery it doesn't appear particularly harmful. A nearby camera armed micro-drone captures the moment and the ghast gives Fuskee the thumbs up from the audience.

A slippery team of starfinders works their way down the fissure. You emerge, wet and slippery in the entrance to what appears to be a temple. A dwarf lies trapped under a large rock. Nearby a patch of oily liquid seems to be seeping toward him with intent. Further back there are some other area of unusually moving liquids...
