Pangea installs a projectile weapon in your racer. That is going to make the contest a bit more fun! coltan meanwhile helps the lovely Velocity with her racer. She looks extremely grateful.

Conrad turns on the charm with Lemgem. She seems a little flustered by his attention, and somewhat flattered. "Sure I'll help. " she leans closer "I'll let you in on a secret. Ratracer... his car has an energy shield that takes energy shots and redirects the power to his engine. Don't fire your energy weapons at him, it just makes him faster!"

Glitch continues to work on the control systems, making the racer even easier to pilot. Mother is covered in oil as she overclocks the computer controlling the engine.

Everyone is up again. Sebrir, he can do two checks.

Conrad DEFINITELY lets his teammates know about that. He'll head over to the racer who seems to know that how look matters, "And I do say sir, that's a mighty fine looking racer you've got to go with that suit. I'll tell you what, you're accustomed to getting what you want methinks. Well, what I want is to beat that dirty Ratrod. How do you feel about buddying up to take him out. Gonna go ahead and still do the other two actions I had posted before. Let's see what the rolls end up as this time...

After hearing everything he can from Nyizin, Sebrir decides to attempt to rattle Ratrod by bringing up his confrontation with Laboni.
"My dear ysoki, it is so good to see you here at the race! I had heard that you'd dropped from the competition after Laboni's vicious public attack. I don't blame you for any fear you might have experienced, she is obviously a capable driver, but I'm sure you'll be fine, yes? Would you mind giving a short interview for my well-known vlog? Perhaps you can describe how you overcame your terror at facing Laboni?"
Intimidate: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9

And finally, Sebrir heads over to the beautiful and androgynous android Velocity.
"The great Velocity, how pleasing to see you it will be to my viewers of all proclivities! I would love to interview you for my worlds-famous vlog. Can you tell me about your unique and gorgeous appearance modifications?"

And as a complete aside, not that it is an optimal strategy, but during the race one person gets to pilot, and others can fire weapons. If you all want to do something (other than aid-anothers, which may be helpful) then adding a couple more weapons would give you all something to do during the race itself. OF course that might just slow things down a bit play wise.

Nyz fires at Lem: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

How we will work this:

Okay, so we'll do it like this, each "round" the racers move down the track. If the pilot makes their (DC16) check, they move a full speed. If they fail, they have a bit of difficulty with obstacles and move at half speed, if they fail by more than ten their vehicle gets stuck and doesn't move at all this round. Each vehicle can also fire all their weapons. A hit reduces the targets pilot check by 4. (or for your kinetic weapon, by 6). I'll let you work out who is your best pilot and gunners. The other two can do aid-anothers if they wish. To stop this dragging on, I'll take the suggestion that one player does the rolls for everyone. Make the aid-another rolls first though please. To keep things interesting for everyone, everyone nobody does the "everyone rolls" twice before at least three other people have contributed.

I'd not worry about range for this race. I imagine the race is in a circuit so you are probably never that far from anyone else.

Anyone watching Sebrir's capture in the future will look in amazement at the poor gunnery displayed by the pathfinder team. Luckily that is secondary to their awesome driving.

In fourth place we see Velocity - a solid drive with no mistakes but her car just doens't have the get up and go - probably all those guns!. Trailing behind with have Nyzin and at the back is RatRod! There is a surprise. But with the race half over it looks like Lemgem is the racer to beat!"

Ratrod targets pathfindres: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20

Energy weapons fire to the left, Slung throwers to the right, ion rifles to the rear. The gunnery battle starts to really heat up.

Lem cracks Osris's windscreen with a slug, while Nyzin shoots out one of Velocity's tyres. Velocity in turn manages to damage the engine housing on Osiris's racer, while Ratrod temporarily blinds the camera on the pathfinder's car. The pathfiners in turn send a beam of light into Osris's eyes.

I made a small mistake with Velocity, she was actually behind you, so I assume the shots against her you would rather put against the car directly ahead of you.

The crowd is loving it.

Welcome, new Starfinders! And congratulations!” the shirren’s voice telepathically projects.

When you are ready, I have two assignments I could use assistance with. The first is to help me secure a new headquarters on Absalom Station. I’ve been in talks with our station’s protectors, the Stewards, and they were kind enough to give us ownership of a warehouse here in Downlow for that purpose! The current owners no longer want it because a vicious alien took it over and kills anyone who goes inside. Once the alien is gone and the warehouse cargo has been returned to its owners, we can start installing desks and computers, so please go in and incinerate the creature!"

My second assignment...” Zigvigix twitches their tooth barbs for a moment and then holds out a credstick.

After the interminable wait, the doors open and the crowd surges forward! They must have seen Sebhir and decided to open the doors for him.

Starfinders to the left, crowds to the right, here you are, stuck in the middle again.

Finally you fight your way to the front and acquire a copy of the album. For the rediculious price of 50cr, you may each also acquire a copy for your self.

The crowd gets restless as it appears the release copies are about to sell out. They press forward.

And a reflex save for each of you as you exit the shop to try and avoid being crushed by the crowd.

Finally getting away you make your way to the warehouse..

Once you are ready, station security allows you through the force barrier set up around the perimeter of the warehouse. They give you a curious look, wondering what kind of person voluntarily would WANT to go in.

The doors to the warehouse were forced open and no longer lock, allowing you to simply walk in. The warehouse ceiling is 30 feet high, and a catwalk runs 15 feet above the floor. The crates and vehicle are approximately 5 feet tall, while the cylindrical containers and the crate-filled scaffolding are 10 feet tall. Climbing the crates and scaffolding wouldn't be too hard in a pinch. There's a pit in the warehouse floor.

The scattered junk on the floor creates an area of difficult terrain. The lights on the catwalk are not bright enough to illuminate the area, leaving the warehouse in dim light
