"I suppose that is fair. Set-up camp fellows, we'll set on come morning." George smiles for the first time in hours and begins to set-up his tent and bedroll on the outside of camp.

Yup, after the third identical encounter, I guess we have to admit the GM's trying to tell us something. :P

Male Elf Ranger Lvl 2 HP: 18/18, - AC: 18/T: 15/FF: 13 - Spot/Listen +6 _ Initiative: +5 - F: +4 / R: +8/ W: +2 (+4 vs. enchant) - Grapple +6, Speed: 30

1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11 Sense Motive check. He just wants to be sure! Kirren stays in the back of the group watching and listening. He will take first watch, "I will take first watch, who wants second and third?"

Later in response to Kirren, "I will take third watch."

On his watch he talks with those who are awake and tries to get more information from them about their quarry and anything else that might be pertinent. 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8Diplomacy Check 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22 Gather Info Check.

"Then Second watch is mine. Can I count on you to keep me company, Vajra, or shall you make a fourth watch so we may all sleep more?" George finishes setting up his tent and asks shortly before going to rest.

third identical maybe, but this one George can trust

Of course George has always been too trusting, Daellin will also Sense motive before setting up to rest

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14

"You all take watches like sweets from your parents. These are dangerous lands however, so I suppose it is good for someone to watch my back." Daellin groans before beginning his preparations for the night and eating one of his goodberries.

Kirren and Aramil snd Daellin:
both of sense that tension and extreme dislike from the knights and the justicar, but the justicar look at the knights is hatered. Burch the shifter doesnt trust the knights and you

Aramil you learn from the youngest knight that happens to more talkative, that the Lady of the Flame sent them to seek and return the young elf girl with the mark of death for conversion. But the Blood of Vol wants to exploit the girls mark in some way. The Dragoned marked houses do not know that the mark of death has returned either and they Silver Flame wants to keep it that way.Kandler refuses to let the knights take to Thnrane and to stop looking for her.

George give me a spot check on your watch.

DM and anyone else awake for third watch and Perception DC 7:
"Wow, that doesn't sound good at all, so we just walked in on a powder keg. Well from what I know of our 'group' we would likely be with the knights on this one, but time will tell." Aramil says to the young impressionable female knight. "Why one so young as yourself is on this quest, it seems more for elder members? Hmmm?"

Laine pipes up, "Actually, I'll double up on second watch. I usually get up then anyway."

George and Laine George you dont see anything while on watch, Laine you notice shadows move 80 ft away then disappear during the watch

Aramil and Vajra Varjra you see creatures slowly approaching the camp and they are not stopping

Intiative please

I assume sleeping parties will roll initiative as we are awoken, unless you want it out of the way

"Identify yourself!" Vajra shouts at the top of his lungs. Better to be safe than sorry, and this would wake EVERYONE up assuming no on silenced them.

If nobody wakes from the yelling, Vajra will move and awaken George by hand.

need Laine's intiative roll

bad guy rolls....1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14

So is the surprise round over?
If so Kirren quickly grabs up his bow and stands in a quick fluid action. 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24 Swift action, to see what he can see, Spot check.

Kirren surprise round ended when Vajra yelled

In preparation:
Aramil's actions: He shakes his head to make it clear, don's his shield and pulls his longsword from its sheath. 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23 As a swift action he spots what he can see from his sitting position.
Edit: He pulls his light mace instead.

For everyone awake you see a skeleton of a short orc with red burning pin point eyes. Walking toward you and your party, as other undead attack the other four knights, Kandler and Burch

Daellin will retrieve his bow and come out of his tent, "Wonderful, and hear I thought I'd get a full nights sleep. Foolish me." He rubs one of his eyes and raises his bow.

On George's action at the bottom of the turn he'll come out in armor (it's light so he can sleep in it) with his double-axe at the ready.

Laine stands up and grabs her mace.

Vajra draws his sai and readies action to attack the skeleton should it close.

the skeleton says"mmmmm flesh to rend mmmm woman your flesh will be my prize mmmmmm" while it spins its battle axe in its bony fingers and charges Laine

Vajra take your readied action

Laine as the skeletal orc swings its axe in a side long arc...does this hit you.. attack 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28 damage 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Shadow Blade Technique: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 101d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

And nothing.

Laine shield is brushed aside as the blow lands into her squarely. She staggers back, dropping her mace..

"Well... ****..."

I don't remember, does the standard action withdraw (if you don't have a move action) exist in 3.5e? If so, that's what I'll take.

Vajra your attacks come up shortas the skeleton ducks avoiding your attack

Laine your action please

George your action as well

Lv 1 HP: 13/13, - AC: 16/T: 12/FF: 14 - Spot: +1 - Initiative: +2 - F: +5 / R: +2/ W: +3 Speed: 30

Withdraw is a full round action that does not provoke, I'm looking at my Player's Handbook

George will drop his axe and get his morningstar and shield out. He'll do this while moving to the skeleton and attempt to smite evil. now AC 18

1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
Damage 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

Male Elf Ranger Lvl 2 HP: 18/18, - AC: 18/T: 15/FF: 13 - Spot/Listen +6 _ Initiative: +5 - F: +4 / R: +8/ W: +2 (+4 vs. enchant) - Grapple +6, Speed: 30

George do you have quick draw? Drop axe=free, draw on move action=move, don shield=move action, other wise don shield hastily=free (The armor check penalty and armor bonus for hastily donned armor are each 1 point worse than normal.), attack=standard. So it is possible. Sorry DM, my GM OCD kicked in and trying to help, if you want me to stop just say so.

Male Half-Orc Paladin 1
info:
Lv 1 HP: 13/13, - AC: 16/T: 12/FF: 14 - Spot: +1 - Initiative: +2 - F: +5 / R: +2/ W: +3 Speed: 30

Forgot about the shield it's a one point penalty so I guess I ate it, I'll get Quick draw at Third I guess. AC 17

George as you swing the orcish skeleton reels back as if burned causing you to strike air

Drat. In Pathfinder, you can take a standard action withdraw (if standard is all you have on your turn) but you only get 1 move instead of two.

In that case, Laine fires a wild-surge energy ball, after five foot stepping back.

Wild Surge, low bad: 1d100 ⇒ 21
Attack, targets touch, including -4 for target in melee with allies: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (20) - 1 = 19
Fire Damage: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (6, 1) + 2 = 9

Confirm: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (11) - 1 = 10

Male Humanoid(Shapechanger) Swordsage 2
Status:
HP 22 | AC 20 | T 18 | FF 15 | F +3 | R +8 | W +6 | Init +6 | Spot +8

Remember my flanking bonus if you go melee

Vajra attempts to strike again.

Sapphire Nightmare Blade Con Check: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Attack, targets flat-foot if Sapphire NightMare Blade Con check beats target AC, -2 otherwise: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Damage, bonus 1d6 if Con check succeeds: 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 61d6 ⇒ 6

Well.. Vajra, king of not hitting the target. :P
