yup max HP. and you are right about the skill focus I'm apparently blind. You may also take back the 10 gp for your lifestyle (see my edit above.)
*edit again*Of course now my math sucks with an 11 perform it only costs 40 gp to increase to Wealthy.

Err. I'm confused. I read the post as the rope was anchored in the air about 3ft above the fireplace opening, but went -down-. It seems people are trying to climb up, and I am very confused.
Sorry if I was unclear it's inside the shaft the top is about 3 feet up and the rope coils down from there into the ashes. Frankly the 3 feet isn't much of a climb.

Just wanted to give the group a heads up, I am currently in the middle of my M-Div studies and am getting ready to start a class. The January "J-Term" is a shortened semester, my class is only one week long for 2 credit hours, and is very intensive. I will post as able but I am reading a book a night this week as well as preparing material to be turned in each day. Please don't think I have droped out if I don't respond and DM feel free to post for me as needed to keep the story going.

Here is the treasure our DM has provided us:
- Brodert's bag of holding, type I
- Leather scroll case containing the following scrolls
- scroll of floating disc (caster level 2)
- scroll of detect secret doors (caster level 1)
- oil of magic weapon clearly marked
- potions of cure light wounds (2) clearly marked in Father Zantus's narrow script
- Wooden scroll case containing Brodert's eight page treatise (+1 equipment bonus on knowledge history checks involving ancient Thassilon)
- Vial of anti toxin, clearly marked
- 10 normal apples, 2lbs of dried deer meat, a loaf of bread, and a sharp white cheese.
- Wine skin of a common Chelaxian red
- Large archaic key (this steel key is about five inches long and resembles a thin cylinder with jagged teeth around the lower half of the key. When viewed from the end the teeth form a seven pointed star.
Clarence would most definitely claim the scroll tube with Brodert's treatise as well as the key. I think the two healing potions should go to those most likely to need it (probably Nornan and Blake/Brinda). Clarence cannot use either of the scrolls (Detect Secret Doors and Floating Disc).
Lysa doesn't have either of the spells on those scrolls either. I agree that the potions of healing should go to someone who can't heal themselves.
Norman doesn't mind carrying the stuff, I doubt it will affect his mobility. He would take a potion of healing but let's imagine it required a lot of convincing and grumbling on his part.
Quick note on the scrolls. I'm pretty sure that neither spell is on anyone's list which means either someone with a good Use Magic Device or spend a hero point for the momentary ability to cast 1st level wizard spells. So in theory they could go to anyone.
Just to be clear, Brinda's only looking at the key, she gives it up if Clarence wants to carry it.
Clarence just wants to study the key. He can share it! :)
DM: I think Floating Disc is on the Magus spell list? So Blake could try and learn it if he wishes. Not sure about Detect Secret Doors.

You are correct about floating disc It is on the Magus list. I didn't double check that before posting my reply earlier.

You got it. its funny, I was looking today when I was making sure he knew thassilonian and something didn't add up for me either.

Going through the build now. You've got Nornan w/ 6 skills, he gets 7 (4+2int+1 bonus human one). I originally had them listed w/ the armor penalty, so I changed it. Gave a skill point to Knowledge: Religion, since he would have had some learning in that area.
Question: so I get to choose an extra skill or HP pt for each level gained as a barbarian, right? Does this apply at level 1? If so, his HP is 14, if not, 13.
Other than that... I think everything's kosher.
I probably just missed one of your skills and I don't know why I shorted you an HP I'll fix and update.

Thanks! I'm very excited and anxious at the same time so unfortunately things may slow down. Right now I'm trying to hammer out the wrinkles on my organization and stay the under word count. When I take my next short break I'll try to make a coherent game post.
Okay, for now my org is finished I'll look at it again tomorrow...maybe once or twice more tonight. So I'll go compose an official DM type post and maybe we can get going again.
DM, I'll be out of town for the rest of the weekend (for a wedding), so feel free to DMPC me at this point. I'll be back on Monday.
Hey gang, long time no see! Between supporting Andrew in his RPG Superstar stuff and fielding our two children, I started a new full time job last Monday (I have been unemployed for a year o.O), so I am adjusting to my new life outside my comfy chair. Hopefully we'll all get back to normal soon :-)

Life gets in the way, I think we all understand, lol. If the game slows for a bit, it slows, then it'll pick back up. Heck, my availability on weekends is pretty unpredictable, trying to put together our wedding (yay gift convention today!). Also, congrats on the job!

I'm enjoying my character far too much to be discouraged because the GM has made it to Round 3 of RPG Superstar. The fact that you are doing so great bodes well for this game, in my opinion!
Keep up the good work and I can't wait to see what you have to offer for this round! The twist is doozy! Congratulations!

Here you can look at all the entries of the TOP 16 for the 2012 competition. Our DM is Andrew Marlowe from Cincinnati, OH he was one of 32 who the judges selected based on the Wondrous Item that they submitted in an open call. Each of them then submitted a new Golarian Organization and the voting public have advance 16 of the 32 to the next round. Now they have three days to create a monster entry that we will get to vote 8 into the next round.

I found myself getting angry at some of the judges comments, lol. I especially liked the organization entry. Unlike some of the douc... I mean judges, I found the idea of an old-guard merchant class that still harbors some resentment to abolition to be cool.

Well since I've ended my 2012 Superstar run at top 16 I guess we'll be able to get this game back on!
Thanks Nornan...I'm not big on the apostrophe names either but it fit for the Mwangi Expanse. I proud of my work in the competition and the monsters that advanced were very good. So maybe next year.
Congratulations on making it as far as you did! I really like the flavor behind your monster, but I do think the technical concerns were just too much for most people. I hope you'll try again next year because I think you have some really great ideas.
