Roshan |
Ok, the map changed since I posted my action, so because I am engaged in melee I take an attack of opportunity, correct?
That is fine, I will continue with my previously posted action.
1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Gryne aims his crossbow and fires a shot at Enrik, it catches him in the shoulder. He then chucks his axe at you which you try and avoid, ducking out of the way but it still just manages to clip you for 2 damage. He then moves up, drawing his battleaxe as he does so.

Gryne Skystone |
Gryne, can't you 5-foot step first?
Oh yes I can, I thought Judgement was a move action, but in fact it is a swift action.
I guess I will make a 5ft step then declare judgement on Enrick followed by my crossbow attack.
Gryne Skystone |
HA! I didn't see the next page of posts.
I'm fine taking the AoO since I didn't think of the 5ft step.
It just makes me want to kill Enrick more, although I now have 1DR/Magic, so only 1 damage unless you took the DR into consideration.

Sorry, guess I didn't include it here but it was Lysa who you provoked the AOO from, she missed though.
Roshan |
Grud wavers as your magic envelops him but he shakes his head and resumes fighting though a bit shaken by the terrifying images.

CB DAM: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Konnar |
Round 1, HP: 15/15, AC: 15 (don't have my buckler on)
Konnar springs into action, making his way through the goblins, to come opposite of Filios. As he moves, he slips on his brass knuckles, a grim look on his face... Sorry lady, I'd rather not do this.
A swift punch to the gut: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 4 + 2 = 26
Confirm Critical: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 4 + 2 = 19
Damage: 1d3 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
If confirmed Crit Damage: 1d3 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Roshan |
Filios opens up with his sword but misses as the woman deflects the blow with her greatsword. Konnar however takes advantage of her momentary distraction and launches himself at the woman, hitting a weakspot in her armor.

Confronted with an opponent right in front of him.
Fextor dodges and weaves while attempting to cast Flare (cast it defensively)
Concentration 1d20+5 (DC17)and loses the spell.
That's actually a success, remember that the DC for casting defensively is 15+double spell level. Flare is a level 0 spell so the DC is 15.
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Bud blinks repeatedly, attempting to clear the light spots from his eyes. Grud moves in on Filios with his battle axe but is unable to get past his defenses. Lys attempts to make a retaliatory strike against Konnar but is too sluggish in her movements. Enrik slashes at Gryne with his battleaxe and connects for 6 damage (4 After DR, I didn't take your DR into account for the last damage roll).

Gryne, after taking a fair amount of damage knows this fight must end soon in order for him to survive. He smiles at Enrick and draws his Battle Axe and in one motion swings it upward to catch Enrick in the chin.
melee atk: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Both Gryne and Enrik clash weapons but neither seems able to gain the upper hand and strike a blow.

CB ATT: 1d20 + 5 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 5 + 2 + 1 = 13
CB DAM: 1d10 + 3 + 1d6 ⇒ (5) + 3 + (4) = 12
Konnar |
Round 2, HP: 15/15, AC 15, flank, bless
Assuming, she is still up...
Konnar rears back and takes a swing at the big woman's jaw!

Damage: 1d3 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Fextor Babbletrix |
Seeing that Bud is distracted by the spots, Fextor turns and starts to incant while still being wary of Bud.
Casting Burning Hands defensively towards the NorthWest which will catch Grud and Enrik in the cone.

fingers of flame fly from Fextor's hands singeing Grud and Enrik.
Damage 3d4 ⇒ (3, 3, 3) = 9 (Reflex save for half DC15)
Filios Philandril |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
@Belegorn: I assume that Roshan will resolve your attack in the description the next time that the bad guys act, which is after Strat. At least that is the way that I would do it. Roshan should not have to post after each of our actions. A summary when the bad folks take their turn in initiative should suffice and is customary. I like this method of combat tracking much better. It is more like a tabletop and more in line with the rules...just my 2 cents.
Gryne Skystone |
I added a comment with my HP and AC to the map doc for easier reference. Strat, if you are able to on your turn, I only have 3 hp left and would love a heal before my mouth gets me killed and you all laugh at me.
Strat Spineshank |
Heal? Pfft, I'm a BATTLE CLERIC!! But naw, I gotcha.
On Strats action, Standard to cast Cure Light Wounds (sacrificing Sanctuary), 5' step NW next to Gryne, free action to touch him.
"Let the healing power of Sarenrae keep this man fighting!" Strat summons Sarenrae's gift, moving next to the dwarven follower of Shelyn, closing his wounds.
1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Belegorn of Erastil |
@Filios: He posted right after my action should have taken effect, indicated by his init counter, thus a comment or acknowledgement of my action would be expected in his summary statement.
Roshan |
[spoiler]1d20 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Filios, again you come in with your elven curve blade attempting to snake past her defenses but between her sword and her armor you can see no openings.
Konnar, she's distracted by Filios pressing his attack and is unable to properly defend against you. You slip inside her guard and hit a weakspot, you hear her grunt and see her fall to the ground.
Fextor, bud fails his save and takes full damage, he's still standing when the flames clear but drops his shield and axe and says "I don't get paid enough for this, I'm done"
Grud, he bobs and weaves with his axe and takes a nice chunk out of Filios's side (6 Damage).

Konnar |
Looking at the map, I knocked Lys to next Tuesday!!! Epic! ;p Is she dead or dying?Never mind, I am not going to take the time to check, when my friends are still threatened.
Gryne Skystone |
Awww, I wanted to be like a super hero! ;p
Awww you'll be a superhero to all of us for that, she was tough.
Feeling reenergized by Strat's healing, Gryne takes a full swing with his axe hoping to end Enrik.
Atk: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
if hit: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Strat Spineshank |
"After the men are tied up and dealt with, I'll summon Sarenrae's blessing to help heal the wounded."
Channel to heal allies when the enemeies are tied up and out of range.
1d6 ⇒ 5
"I will tend to the goblins for now if you would like to question the men about their actions." Strat will lead them away, out of earshot if everyone is agreeable to that.
Gryne Skystone |
Sounds good Strat.
Well that was an unpleasant surprise.
I apologize if my actions escalated the event, I am merely trying to keep our captives safe until we can make the drop.
