'Gar' Duncrick |

Round 4 Initiative 8: 'Gar's Last Stand'
"You scum want a pound of my flesh? Pwat!" As Gar spits a gob of blood at the Goblins.
"It will take more than that to get me to shut up" Although by the looks of him, one would think not too much more.
Looking like he put the last of his strength into it, he hits the Goblin Danarius is bothering (Gob#5 flanked)
Adze vs flanked Hated enemy ->1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 4 + 2 = 18
Adze sneak attack damage ->1d8 + 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (7) + (2) + 3 = 12
Wobbling back on his heels as he pulls the adze free (5' step to N-12), "Gods, I loves fighting Goblins," as he wipes at the blood that spilled from his mouth.

Kast Phaer |

Seeing Gar enjoying a good soak in a pool of his own blood, Kast does not hesitate to step up next to his comrade despite his own wounds.
Move: 5' hobble to L12.
Stnd Action: Strike across at Gobbo #2
Thrusting at Gobbo #2:
1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 1 = 6 to hit
1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 6 + 1 = 12 damage
"Get back, Gar! I'll hold here!"

Ranged Touch Attack: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (9) - 1 = 8 (firing into melee with Gar next to Goblin #6 at N12) The stupid shot misses, again!

Hang in there Gar! Help is on the way!
LS ATT: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11+1 for Guidance from Danaris
LS DAM: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Zees |

Round 4, initiative 3
Zees looks around to see where everyone else in town went and seems to recall someone saying something about the cathedral. He also checks to see if any other goblins are approaching. He the pulls out his dagger and moves 15' next to G4--no BAB yet. "Perhaps we should head for the cathederal!"

Dorin Zstel |

Round 05, Initiative=14 (the she goblin fell unconscious under Color Spray)
HP=7/7 points, AC=13 (touch 13, flat-footed 10), no armor, no weapons, speed=30 ft.

Movement: Dorin runs (from R11 to O10) next to Danaris, pointing at the running goblin.
Action: Dorin sends a thin blue beam after the departing green-skinned squabbler, who is hopefully not running so fast he's out of the 25-foot range. "Ray of Frost!"
Ranged Touch Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19 (And the dice actually let me hit something this time.)
Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 3 points (Max damage, too. A whopping 3 points.)
Round 6-7: Start taking bets on how long Gar stays up.

'Gar' Duncrick |

Round 5 Initiative 8
Gar stumbles over to one of the prone Goblins (Moves from N12 to M13 with a 5' adjust next to Goblin#4, map has him in wrong starting space after 5' adjust last round.)
"Hey, this puker ain't dead!" Gar lines up his adze an seeks to separate the Goblin's skull from it's shoulders.
Coup de'Grace full round action ->1d8 + 3 + 1d8 + 3 + 1d6 ⇒ (6) + 3 + (8) + 3 + (2) = 22
If that did not somehow finish off Goblin#4, he needs to make a DC 32 Fort check.

Kast Phaer |

Not sure how long these gobbos will remain stunned and with the emergence of welcome reinforcements, Kast will follow Gar's lead in making sure these goblins never harm anyone again.
Kast will Coup de Grace the lead She Goblin in J12, then 5' hobble to K11, offering flank to those who would take it.
Coup: 2d8 + 14 ⇒ (5, 4) + 14 = 23 damage to the She Goblin, with a damage+10 Fort save to live.

Kast decapitates the She-Goblin
G1 recovers from his daze and tries to flee .
(Move N9 - N8 and finish in L3 (Danaris have a AoO, Dorin has no weapon)
G3 is still unconscious
Your turn

Zees |

Round 5, Initiative 3
Zees stands over the goblin as Kast decapitates one goblin and Gar crushes another, blood splattering over Zees. The thrill of the last five minutes has left him. There is no art to this, no flare, but it is absolutely necessary as his world seems to crumble around him. Zees grips the dagger tightly with both hands and plunges it into the chest of the goblin.
Coup de Grace 2d4 - 2 ⇒ (1, 4) - 2 = 3 (LOL. That is a pathetic. How did I end up on the front line?)

'Gar' Duncrick |

Well, the good news is I don't think you can do 'zero' damage. So your first part would be 1-1=1 plus the 4-1=3. So rejoice, you did 33% more damage, forcing a DC fort save of 14. Hope that helps :-)

Malcolm Cavendish |

Round 5, Initiative 7
Status:
Malcolm attacks the retreating G1 with his LS.
You cannot escape the wrath of Abadar!

Round 5, Initiative 7
Status:** spoiler omitted **Malcolm attacks the retreating G1 with his LS.
You cannot escape the wrath of Abadar!
LS ATT: 1d20+7
LS DAM: 1d8+4
Abadar must really be upset or just didn't want you to miss the round of everyone crit'ing. Roll to confirm your crit.

Malcolm Cavendish |

What is our experience progression, Robin?
Malcolm runs around the bonfire, and checks to make sure that there is no danger of fire to nearby buildings and to see if there are any other Goblins.
Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
I do not see any others. Maybe we can track their point of origin. Does anyone present have such skills?

Kast Phaer |

After sinking his spear deep into the throat of the She-Goblin, Kast looks around to happily see the goblins dispersing or dead.
Feeling the pain of his own wounds, but knowing that Gar is in worse shape, Kast will limp to his militia friend and offer what aid he can.
Imagining a more perfect and whole Gar in his mind, Kast will impose that image onto Gar with a gentle touch.
Cast Cure Light Wounds on Gar: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 healing
After that, Kast will move over to pick up his whistle...now covered in both goblin spit and blood.
AC: 17
HP: 4/10
Weapon: Longspear
Status: A bit sickened...I can see Gar's spleen

Danaris Krupt |

"Make sure those goblins aren't getting back up." Danaris watches to make sure that all the goblins are slain so that Erastil's power won't restore any of the their fallen foes, then he, once again, calls on Erastil's to aid the defenders of his community.
Channel positive energy: 1d6 ⇒ 5
"How's everyone doing? Does anybody need additional help?"

Dorin Zstel |

Dorin says "I think if we want to find where the goblins have gone, we should just listen for the screams and shouts."
Perception check (Wis only) 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
And maybe somebody else should listen, I can't hear a thing.
Knowledge: Local check 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
Looking over at the dwarf, Dorin asks, "Haven't I seen you working on the ships at the dock?"
One introduction at a time!

'Gar' Duncrick |

Gar will be up for finishing off the other unconscious Goblin.
After Danaris' blessing. "Thanks there lad. I've never felt better killin' Goblins." He is clearly lying as he is still be bleeding in many places but seems very happy.
"And you Zees, doing something worthwhile for once! Rattling Goblin's brains is the best use I've ever seen you apply your talents."
"Dorin..right. Seen you around the Dragon, although don't recall you shooting cold rays b=from behind the bar. But yeah, that's usually me up on the hulls down at the shipyard. I wish I could get up there now, I could get a good look around and see were these Tunnelrats were coming from. But, If nobody's left screaming, and no random fires are breaking out, I guess we should check in with the sheriff at the cathedral."
Perception for additional Goblin antics ->1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

Kast Phaer |

"And you Zees, doing something worthwhile for once! Rattling Goblin's brains is the best use I've ever seen you apply your talents."
"Huh? What? Oh yeah!! That was you, Zees?! With the rainbow?! I've never seen you do that ever! Brilliant! " Kast lowers his voice and continues "Get it, brilliant? It was a bunch of colors? Brilliant! Heh."
"That was pretty good, Zees. But I wish you'd stayed out of trouble...I can't protect you all the time."
To Danaris: "Thanks Danaris. Your presence fills me with hope and security. I feel almost like new...ready to fight more goblins. Where do we go next?"
Perception 1d20 ⇒ 11
AC: 17
HP: 9/10
Weapon: Longspear
Status: Mostly healed, a little bit impressed by Zees
Spells: 2 of 4 1st lvl cast

Zees |

"And you Zees, doing something worthwhile for once! Rattling Goblin's brains is the best use I've ever seen you apply your talents."
Zees is surprised by his notoriety; perhaps he had gone a bit overboard practicing in the past. Nah. It all paid off in the end here. In fact, I bet everyone could use a good laugh after all this. Hmmm...dancing sword...ghost under a sheet...falling apples...water over the head...the elusive coin on the ground...Hmmm...should have gone with prestidigitation today.

Dorin Zstel |

Out of Initiative
HP=7/7 points, AC=13 (touch 13, flat-footed 10), no armor, no weapons, speed=30 ft.
Fort=+1, Ref=+3, Will=+3
Spells: inf/3 for 0th/1st; Acid Splash is 1/1; Heavenly Fire is 6/6
Dorin looks around. A dwarf, a cleric called Danaris, two town guardsmen (one is Malcolm), a youth in robes named Zees, and himself. "Not bad, fighting goblins." he says. "We usually had to circle the wagons or post guards. I thought more people would be fighting the invaders. Why didn't more people fight?" Dorin then remembers his manners. "Uh, I'm Dorin. Dorin Zstel. Yeah, you've seen me at the Rusty Dragon. I work with, uh, for Ameiko." The young man is about to offer his hand (to Gar), but notices how bloody his sleeve and shirt is, and hesitates.
I could use some names here, folks.

Malcolm Cavendish |

Nice to meet you, Dorin. I am Malcolm Cavendish, Paladin of Abadar and defender of the Cathedral. I do not believe that I have had the pleasure of meeting you. I do not often get around to the Rusty Dragon. And yes, Zees, great work with that magical display. It is not often that we find such talents in hidden places. Excellent job by all, but we must be wary. I agree that we should return to the Cathedral to check on the festival goers and possibly salvage the otherwise tarnished dedication and festival. Plus, by the looks of Gar, I would imagine that the clerics could assist Danaris in further healing.

Zees |

Hi Dorin. I'm Zees, apprentice to the great Hsoari Gandethus. You should stop by sometime, I'd love to hear more about your arcane talents. I wrote a 30 page paper for Master Gandethus detailing my research into the differences between wizards and sorcerers. I had the papers bound and Chask Haladan at The Curious Goblin even let me put it up for sale--it's in the back on the bottom shelf, in the corner, behind another book. If you can find it, it'll be like finding a buried treasure. Haladan said it was best that way.

Kast Phaer |

"Oh my yes! It's a wonderful tome, Dorin. Very educational indeed and with therapeutic effects as well. Educational in that I didn't realize the words 'spontaneonecroarcanica' and 'flamebiffify' existed as words until I read it...and as for the health effects, I slept better reading it than I had in years." Kast smiles and winks at Dorin and Zees. "You would think Zees a powerful enchanter with his ability to put the reader to sleep."
"Well met, Dorin. I am Kast. I am a teacher here in town, but today I feel a bit more like a soldier. And I like it."
With that, Kast will begin limping in the direction of the Cathedral. Speaking over his shoulder, Kast yells, "Let's get to the cathedral, eh? There still might be goblins around. I think Gar has me by 1 goblin and I aim to even the score."

robin |
The streets are now deserted . While you can hear combats going on to the south and to the north , there is no goblins in sight now
Since the cathedral is on the way north , you decide to go first there by way of the cliff street to check if there is no stragglers there
Just when you are moving up the street , you can see a mounted goblin fighting with a dog urged on by several others goblins . You move fast but the goblin finish the dog just when you are nearing the fight .
The goblins do not seem to have seen you YET , their interest more on the dead dog and the man the dog was protecting who has his back on some barrels near the White Deer
Round 1 : Initiative ;
Danaris 22
Gar 21
Zees 7
Dorin 5
Malcolm 5
Kast 5
Consider you are actually somewhere in the square L16 and Q19 in the map
You can all act
here is a better picture of the mount

Danaris Krupt |

Round 1 Initiative 22
Danaris sees the pack of goblins menacing the man and his fallen dog. "It appears we still have some work ahead of us. Turning to the rest of the party, he calls on Erastil's aid in the coming fight, casting bless .
+1 morale bonus to attack and saving throws for the party
Danaris then moves to M11, and grimly draws his dagger.

'Gar' Duncrick |

Round 1 Initiative 21
At Danaris' cry, Gar takes off at a run, charging Goblin2 (ending up in Q-9), "I dinna think there was anythin' uglier than a Goblin, yet there the beast be!
Charge with blessed Adze vs hated enemy ->1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 5 + 2 = 8
Damage with Adze1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Running in his current state seems to have taken something out of him as he almost seems to drag his adze the last couple of feet. Had to miss sometime.

Zees |

Round 1 Initiative 7
Zees draws his dagger--Sure wish this was a wand or a scroll. Oh well--and moves within 30 for a clear shot at G3 (can't see exact coordinates). He then lets the dagger fly using Hand of the Apprentice.
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 221d4 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0

Dorin Zstel |

Round 01, Initiative=5
HP=7/7 points, AC=13 (touch 13, flat-footed 10), no armor, no weapons, speed=30 ft.
Fort=+1, Ref=+3, Will=+3
Spells: inf/3 for 0th/1st; Acid Splash is 1/1; Heavenly Fire is 6/6
Looks at Thedogfightround1.xls: Great. A spread of goblins watching the poor guy getting chewed up by the goblin-dog. Just great.
Dorin nods at Malcolm, looks unsure between Zees and Kast as they banter, and learns the dwarf Gar's name from the limping Kast. He tries to remember Headmaster Gandethus, and Dorin doesn't remember Master Haladan talking about a spellcaster in town. Dorin walks quickly with Malcolm, and the group catches up with the slower-moving Kast as they go north on Cliff Street. Dorin works up the courage to talk to the gruffy-looking Gar just as Dararis turns and waves a hand at the group. Before Dorin can speak, the dwarf lets go with a shout, raising his bladed tool as a weapon and rushing off. But, Dorin says to himself, you need armor!. The youth then sees the group of goblins ahead in the street, surrounding a man next to the White Deer Inn. Some kind of rat-dog was snapping and attacking the man.
Movement: Dorin skids to a halt next to the robed Zees, even as the other boy flung a dagger. (N13 on the map.)
Action: Dorin points his right index finger at the lead goblin, hoping to hit something smaller than the broad side of a barn this time. (Goblin #G3, 20-25 feet away) "Ray of Frost!" Dorin called out.
Ranged Touch Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 1 point
Round 2-4: Wait for the others to catch up, then start sniping with Cold of Frost from around them.
Round 5: Get close enough to Gar for a touch attack Mage Armor on Gar.

'Gar' Duncrick |

Gar, your HP seem wrong to me. Kast cast (heh) cure light wounds on you for 3. Then I channelled for 5. Unless I am wrong, you should be at 9, not 6.
Thanks, I missed the CLW somewhere back thread. Need to thank Kast for that. Now I feel a little better as I charge off recklessly. :-)

Kast Phaer |

Kast wasn't looking up ahead until Danaris ran by him, yelling.
Then, Gar and Dorin ran by, seeming quite eager. Zees flailed by before Kast looked up and saw the goblins. All of them.
Ugh. I guess I've got what I wished for. And one has a puppy...a big puppy!
Know(Nature) 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12 on the gobbo mount.
Feeling the blessing of Erastil, Kast is equally buoyed as the rest. Looking for a place to move and seeing some of his companions sprayed haphazardly across his path, Kast remembers that neither Danaris, nor Dorin, nor Zees have militia training and so might be bereft of training in the military strategy of 'charge lanes'. Kast makes a mental note to discuss with them at a later time.
Move action: with a war cry, weave between allies to M13. "FOR SANDPOINT!
Stnd action: move to N11...hoping to pick up an AOO.
