Yeda watches in amazement as Galeas grows in size! She almost forgets about the goblin she is supposed to be holding fast...

combat maneuver to hold the goblin: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 you have to be kidding me

...and in her distraction loses her grip on his wrist.

"What's happening to me!?" exclaims Galeas as he begins to double in size.

As Yeda's grip on the goblin falters, Galeas tries to compensate with his new, larger form.

Grapple check vs goblin's CMD: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7

Oh man Yeda, we both done goofed...

Seeing the two lose their grip, Farumph dives in to assist.

Grapple: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (8) - 2 = 6

It was a long shot anyway...

Well, worst case he runs and we fall back to AoO that probably kill it, rather than letting him run free to cause more havoc.

Eloen finally rushes in and simply smashes the goblin in the head with her dagger pommel.

Dagger attack, nonlethal: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (18) - 2 = 16
Nonlethal damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Can you guys move yourselves on the map to your respective positions? That way I know who is where, and can make a better judgement of action.

I've placed Yeda and Galeas on either side, as they had intended to grab it by the wrists and take it to the sheriff.

As more commotion starts to ensue as the goblin becomes conscious, it quickly settles back down. As Eloen, Yeda and Farumph attempt to quell the creature down, Kera's action of enlarging Galeas seems to end the fight quickly. Watching the man grow even larger, the small creature stops trying to fidget and remains still, a look of terror across his face.

The goblin is still considered prone, and did take 3 points of non lethal. I'm going to render him as helpless for two reasons. Firstly because of narrative, and secondly because I needed to end combat. I'm moving this weekend, so I'll be without a majority of my stuff for the next week or so. RP won't be affected, but backend will. Consider combat over. Yay for you guys! Lol

With the immediate threat over, Kera tentatively approves the boxes and barrels the goblins had surrounded. "Hello?" she calls. "Anyone in there? The gobs are done for!"

"Yuck!" Kera exclaims, as she uses her quarterstaff to divest the fallen goblins of their weapons, armor, and other possessions. "Do they all smell this bad?" She suddenly wishes she'd had Thimble grant her prestidigitation magic this morning, but she certainly wasn't expecting to spend the afternoon poking goblins!

"Farumph! Help me gather these weapons so no other gobs sneak up and claim them."

"Ah, yes! Right away!" Farumph grimaces as he picks up the weapons with his hands, trying to hold the sharp tools carefully as he does so. He occasionally drops one, having to readjust his carrying position and pick it up once more, usually with the occasional curse. "Of all the days to throw a festival, its the day the goblins decide to invade. Bugger! Where did these things even come from?"

"That is the key question, Farumph," says Eloen sagely. "They didn't just come over the wall."

Galeas kneels down and scoops up the cowering goblin, holding it tightly in his now even larger hands.

"Maybe our new friend here can shed some light on the situation. We should take him back to Sherriff Hemlock for questioning." he says in a booming voice.

The goblin trembles in fear, seeing Galeas's towering form in front him, knowing that the rest of his comrades are already in a worse fate than he is. As Galeas finishes his statement, a few of the barrels next to the building start to rustle a little bit as a voice comes from inside. "That most certainly seems... to be... a really great..." as a man finally pushes over a crate to stand up, dressed in a blue overcoat with mid length black hair tucked into a ponytail, and finishes his statement as he brushes off the dirt from his attire. "A really great idea indeed. It always is a good thing for the local authorities to handle things such as this. Were I to have had a blade, these little creeps would not have been much issue. But with it being a festival, why should anyone need a blade?"

Farumph turns to the man, his voice at first fraught with worry. "Are you alright, sir?" He looks over him a bit, and once satisfied, turns to conversation. "Well, one should always keep some sort of blade, at least a physical one, but the weapons of magic can do some just fine. May I ask your name?"

Eloen sheathes her dagger and checks the string on her bow, then she takes the brief pause as a chance to brush her hair back and catch a few stray strands that were in her face.

"Best not to tempt fate," she says. "A blade may be handy for defense, but if you are not trained with it, it's safer to leave that to those who are - otherwise you risk getting in over your head."

She looks up at the goblin held by Galeas, takes on a thoughtful expression for a few moments, then shakes her head.

"Is anyone familiar with their language?"

"Oh, you're alright, then?" Kera says brightly as the man pops out of the barrel. "I's wonderin' what their interest might've been. Glad to see you avoided being hurt. I'm Kera. This's Farumph, Yeda, Galeas, and Eloen."

"Is anyone familiar with their language?"

"Um. I do, actually," offers Kera, slightly dreading the thought of having to talk to the vile little creatures. "I s'pose I can help translate. The Sheriff'll be wantin' to question them, sure as the sun."

"If you can manage it, and if it is willing to answer, we need to know if others are in the city, and how they got in," says Eloen to Kera.

Yeda grabs ahold of the goblin's wrist again. "Come along then, you've some answering to do. Kera, do you want to ask any of your own questions before we get him to the sheriff?"

The man steps forward, finishing brushing his overcoat off. "My apologies, I am Aldern Foxglove." Stepping up towards Yeda, he gives a little bow towards her. "But please, just call me Aldern. And I am much in your gratitude for helping me out of a disastrous predicament. I was not quite sure as to how I would have improvise my escape. Luckily you were able to fend them off in time." he says towards the group, but putting emphasis towards Yeda when mentioning the portions about his rescue.

Yeda is taken aback by his focus on her. "Oh! Well... it was a team effort! It's good to meet you Aldern. We simply want to help restore the peace in this town."

She quickly brings herself down from the compliment. "To be honest, I suspect you would have been okay in the end anyway. You at least had a hiding place to wait out the chaos. Did you feel safe enough in there?" She smirks at him a bit, hoping his story is at least slightly amusing.

Knowledge (local) (untrained) to know anything about Mr. Foxglove: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

Kera notes Aldern's apparent interest in Yeda and smirks. It's about time she found a boyfriend.

"Yea, I'm glad Yeda was here. She's one of the best fighters I know. And an exotic beauty, t'boot! You're alright, then? We need t'get these gobs to the sheriff before they ripen any more, is all."

Galeas listens as the others speak to Aldern, but says nothing. He stares intently at the small goblin held in his now giant hands, watching to make sure the creature remains compliant.

Farumph smiles to Kera. "Indeed. Aldern, if you may join us in returning to the cathedral. You should be safe there."
