While moving through the rooms, Ansgar has been silent, pondering how close to death the group keeps coming, his thoughts flashing back to Denlar.

I need to keep a better watch over my comrades lives...

Examining the plans and images when the door opens, Ansgar simply waits while the talking happens, formulating a course of action.

When the fighting starts, Ansgar joins in quickly, sword and shield at the ready.

And hits another of the women, causing her to disappear. Ansgar strides up to the remaining, true one and swings, but she dodges out of the way at the last second. Normornigan tries to dazer her senses with a spell.

Somewhat dismayed at his companions hasty words, Ansgar wipes and sheathes his blade. He takes a step back, letting the others continue the conversation. Too many voices would simply cloud the issue.

The woman drops her wand on the ground but stays on her feet.

"Go down the corridor that leads here, you'll end up into a large room with stairs to the level above and many doors, the rightmost door on the opposite wall is Ripnugget's harem, and where Bruthazmus took your friend. Now let me go and you won't see me ever again."

Zelinda measures the woman's words and decides that she seems to be speaking honestly, at the threat to her own life. She stalls a moment more, sword pointed at the wizard's throat, then finally she lowers her weapon. "Get out," she says, sternly, motioning towards the door with a tip of her head. "And you'd better not be found in the area again."

She steps out of the way and lets her pass, keeping an eye on her the whole way to make sure that she doesn't try anything.

Once the woman left and her retreating steps have receded, she waves the others on. "Let's go get Shalelu, and hope that she is still okay." She leads the group back to the door that was described and has Quiary check the door before opening it up to the room.

Someone can check this room, if they want, but I figure that we can always come back to check it.

As Zelinda steps out of the way, Norm gets trapped behind her. As he recovers, he sees the lady leaving the room

"What are you doing? I didn't really intent to let her go. She is clearly a part of the attack on the town and should be punished. People got hurt in that attack! And did you see the things we had to fight down here? She is part of something evil! You didn’t even search her before she left!”

Mumbling to himself about people not being able to use common sense and know when something is obviously not true, Norm starts going over the stuff on the table.

"There is a secret door on this wall, by the way. Good luck, I guess. And please don't mention me when you get captured and tortured."

The woman walks toward the stairs, heading up a level and vanishing from sight.

Cael stows the wand in his belt pouch and raises his sword and takes what he supposes is a galant pose. "Come on guys, let's go save Shelilu!" Then he moves to leave following the woman's directions. He doesn't go ahead alone though and pauses if the party doesn't immediately follow.

I sincerely hope that woman was exaggerating. I don't fancy getting killed or tortured...

Silent during the exchange with the lady, Ansgar decides to put it all behind him. No point in dwelling on what could have been.

Ansgar heads to the door where Shalelu is to be found.

Norm ears picks up at the mention of a secret door and moves over to the mentioned wall. (And which wall is it? And in what room?)

"And how do you open it?" Norms calls after her


Foxglove Manor

The woman points toward the wall opposite to the entrance and Normornigan can spot a small sport where the wall seems like it would rotate.

You quickly move toward the room Shalelu is supposed to be and open it.

Dozens of ratty cushions, lumpy pillows, and rumpled dogskin furs lie heaped in the south half of this chamber, which smells of a nauseating mixture of vinegar and rotten flowers.

Four female goblins and a large bugbear are in this room, in a corner, you can see Shalelu, tied, gagged, and unconscious.

All of them get ready to fight as the door opens.

Cael realizing there's a crowd moves back behind Norm and with a grin on his face says, "Well, butter safe than sorry" as he waves a daub of butter on a finger at the bugbear. Immediately the area is covered in grease.

I couldn't help myself in that one. Casts grease covering the area of the bugbear and the front two goblins. DC13 Reflex. Can someone move Carl and draw a 10ft square for the grease? I'm on my phone so I can't. Also if I'm wrong about where the doors are move Cael to an appropriate place to cast his spell.


Foxglove Manor

Behind Cliff is where you'd have proper line of sight and line of effect, so I moved you there.

Cael steps back and casts a spell, covering the floor with grease.

Despite the slippery floor, all three manage to keep their balance. The three goblins draw their shortbows and begin shooting at Ansgar.

While Asngar and Normornigan cast spells to prepare for the fight, Caeldren shouts some demoralizing words, and they seem to work, momentarily throwing off the Bugbear's focus.

Zelinda swings a second time, but finds hitting the hobgoblin from this awkward angle difficult, she retreats as Quiary lands an arrow on the bugbear's shoulder, eliciting a curse.

The goblin now focus her fire on the tiger at the door.

Despite a surprisingly well aimed shot, Cliff's magical defenses make the arrow bounce harmlessly.

Ansgar steps around and hits the bugbear with a devastating slash that cuts into his chest, the bugbear curses again and spits blood on the floor as he dodges cliffs attacks.

Focusing on his rage, he resists Normornigan's spell.

Caeldren now directs his insults at one of the goblins, who seems very scared. Zantus also seems uncomfortable.

"That...Wasn't very polite, though I guess we're fighting to death here...", he mutters.

The goblins now focus their arrows on Cliff.

Seeing that the front line is currently being held just fine, Zelinda sheaths her sword and steps to the side to get a better vantage point. She then quickly gathers the pre-arranged components from her pouch, mixes them together, then yells "Fire in the hole!" before she tosses it into the room, right into the bugbear's face.

Move Action: Sheathe sword.

Free Action: 5-Foot Step

Standard Action: Throw Bomb at Bugbear.

Bomb attack vs. TAC: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18 (Includes penalty for soft cover.)

Edit: Just realized that my original target may not be a good idea, what with an injured Shalelu in there. Changing target to Bugbear. Cliff and Ansgar will have to make the Reflex save (Sorry! :p)

Cael seeing that there is now an opening on the front line moves in to take Zelinda's place. Light on his feet he slashes at the bugbear's face. "I can't leave all the fun to you guys now can I?"

Then he falls into a defensive stance ready to parry counterblows if needed.

The last part he says with a deep growly voice as he looks the red goblin straight in the eyes
