Tarinhilliberanavius |

Do I have any idea where I think he may be going based on my earlier flyover?
Either way, I'll follow for a few more minutes, then head back to report. If I'm gone too long the others will come crashing into the forest looking for me.

Darin the Cheerful |

Darin will pull several a pile of painted stones and a pair of dice out of a pouch on him, sketching a crude board in the dirt with a stick. Then he'll place some of the stones in a pile on one side and put a few in a part of the board and throw his dice.
The dice come up as two threes and Darin picks up some stones from the big pile and puts it in a smaller pile near him.
He'll keep this up for a while.

Tarinhilliberanavius |

It ate my post! Arrgh.
Tarinhil watches a moment, following, Looks like he's headed back to Turtle Ferry... but I can't exactly relay that message to the others... and, really, I've been gone long enough that they might start worrying about me having been jumped or killed.... I'd better head back...
Despite his better judgement, he follows for a few more minutes... Just in case in something... interesting happens... and just to confirm that I'm right about where he's headed...
Assuming no other interesting thing happens.... he'll turn back after 5 minutes or so... though he'll be reluctant and mopey about it.

Unalaq |

Tarin, none of us are worried about you. You can fly and are almost invisible. But, if Tarin would really come back...

Tarinhilliberanavius |

I figure if I'm gone for 2-3 hours, it'd be an issue -- wasn't worried about a 45-60 minute round trip

Tarinhilliberanavius |

Say half an hour. I can speed my way back.

Tarinhilliberanavius |

Tarinhil relates the rather boring results of his scouting, "Didn't want to end up all the way at the Ferry on my own... However, I'm thinking it might be worth starting our little raid before he gets back -- just in case."

Unalaq |

"Good thought. I don't trust him. Let's hit them immediately."

Vincente Valentino Valdemar |

Looking to the two rangers, then to his team. "I have no problem leaving him behind. We do need to get this going though...if he is going to fail us...we need to ensure he doesn't fail us while we got bad stuff going on..."

Unalaq |

"We go now. You can wait for him if you want, but there is a problem going on there. If you will not go, tell us where the entrance to the tunnels is. Tarin, are you ready for your bombing run?"

Darin the Cheerful |

But when we will deal with your pronunciation issues? Darin will mutter under his breath.

Tarinhilliberanavius |

Tarinhil nods, "Ready when you are."

Tarinhilliberanavius |

I'll stick with just the "new" mutagen and the invisibility -- though, depending on how things looked, I might trust stealth for sneaking in and invisibility to get out.
Probably try to start 3 fires -- so use the racial SLA to start the first one, then a bomb each for the others.

Tarinhilliberanavius |

Going to keep flying low and heading toward the woods, then circle around to rejoin the others. If I see anyone on the way out, I'll use the SLA (which should still be active) to lob fireballs at them.

Unalaq |

"Vinny, can you check the tunnel for traps. Ogres aren't exactly known for smarts, but maybe they have allies who are sharper and spotted this entrance."

Vincente Valentino Valdemar |

Looks to Unalaq and nods, heading forward, sneaking and searching as he goes.
Stealth: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (7) + 16 = 23
Perception: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (20) + 16 = 36 +3 vs traps

MiniGM |

sorry, super busy week at work and it was a CON weekend
Vinny finds a couple traps, but they seem to have been set by the rangers, rather than the ogres.
Above there is noise of chaos, and shouts for water.
You make your way down the tunnel to the door into the fort, it will need a DD check to open

Vincente Valentino Valdemar |

Taking a few moments, he then gives the door some work with his tools.
1d20 + 19 ⇒ (6) + 19 = 25
Muttering to himself, "You would have thought the rangers would have said something about a locked door..."

Darin the Cheerful |

Never a cheerful tunnel - can't they fresco anything these days?

Elorin |

Elorin casts Mage Armor and Shield (using the rod of extend), and resists energy, fire on himself. He recalls the shield with a pearl of power.
He then proceeds to cast Stoneskin on Unalaq, finally drawing out his rod of Empower.
Unalaq, you now have the skin of a Golem and should be well protected from at least 8 blows. We can now take the fight to the enemy. Lets go!
80 points for 80 minutes.

Unalaq |

"Any more traps Vinny?"

Fernus Stonecall |

Fernus casts Mage Armor on himself and mutters something about dark dank places giving him the chills.
"Especially after that goblin warren."

Unalaq |

"Good that there are no traps. That place was a nightmare. Any idea what this dung is from?"

Vincente Valentino Valdemar |

"Not I, I don't make it my business to know what kinda crap comes out of things..." he says with a shrug.

Darin the Cheerful |

Oh good. Finally, something that doesn't want to kill us on sight.

Unalaq |

"So take our time and no sudden noises or attacks and we should be able to avoid a fight. That sounds like a great deal." Unalaq listens to Elorin's advice and proceeds very carefully and slowly.

Darin the Cheerful |

Darin follows Unalaq.
Another situation improved by not having a bard around. Imagine that.

Tarinhilliberanavius |

Tarinhil chuckles, "I don't know... Can't think it'd be terrible to have someone tell our tale. Besides, I didn't realize that Bards were the natural enemies of shocker lizards."

Vincente Valentino Valdemar |

Vinnie gives the door some work after he sneaks past the lizards, cursing to himself as he goes.
1d20 + 19 ⇒ (1) + 19 = 20
Curses to himself, thinking there was something incorrect about how it felt.

Unalaq |

No new buffs for me. Good thing Tarin is ready to see about that door Vinny :)

Tarinhilliberanavius |

Mutagen should still be in effect -- heroism isn't. Will use a reduce person, and the barkskin. -- 9 minutes and 90, respectively.
The statblocks reflect those buffs...
Tarinhil shrinks down, then moves forward, "Smaller tools are more precise..."
Disable Device: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (4) + 25 = 29

Darin the Cheerful |

Extended communal protection from evil for all.
