Vire Locke wrote:I believe Blue is stabilized and only Eloviel is bleeding.Ah yes, I see that now. I'm use to setting the DC at 10 + current damage rather than subtracting the damage from the roll as the book spells out, so I read the roll wrong.
That's right. I though it best to keep all the information together in the roll, so you only had to look one place, not look at the roll then look at my hit points and do your own math.

I believe the goblin commander is still stunned, I'm not sure as I dint see a duration rolled, but it usually has around a minimum of 4 rounds worth of stun and up to 10.
That being the case and the goblin dog being dead, technically the goblins that you're about to use can't do anything. Which would then progress the grouping to look something like:
Vanea
Eloviel
Blue
Single Goblin by Vanea (other is unconscious)
Natalia
Vire
Please correct me if I'm mistaken.
jimibones83 |
Good point, I didn't even think of that. Blue is unconscious so I'm going to go ahead and make Eloviel's roll to stabilize, just to speed things up.
Con DC 10: 1d20 - 4 ⇒ (15) - 4 = 11
Success!
The one goblin holding onto consciousness attacks Vire.
Dogslicer: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20 Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Everyone is free to act:)
Vire Locke |
Hooray for not bleeding out!
Vire yells out "I'll deal with you soon wretch!"
Vire runs off towards the commander and attempts to behead him.
provoke from movement.
"Stay safe my lady, I'll be back by your side in a moment."
Behead the Commander: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Commander is denied his Dexterity and his armor is treated as 2 lower from stunned.
Damage: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (5, 6) + 2 = 13
Vanea Lothmatis |
The half elf walks to the only remaining Goblin, with vengeance in her beautiful eyes
Feel the sting of Calistria, stinking thing!
[dice="Touch of Chaos" touch attack]1d20[/dice]
But the goblin ducks
..or not.
I suppose that Vania won't be able to use her shield this round, lowering her AC to 16 (Armor, Dex and Shield of Faith)as she his using her shield's arm for the touch attack
Natalia Irvington |
Commander is denied his Dexterity and his armor is treated as 2 lower from stunned.
Both those goblins are KO for 5 rounds, read my duration rolls some posts above. They were no threat and could be couped once Vanea is safe :). You kind of just endangered the fair redheaded lady. :)
GM, can the previous coup-de-grace rolls be applied to finish off the normal goblin at her feet?
Dg: 1d3 ⇒ 1
Extra Dmg: 1d3 ⇒ 3
Otherwise con will be DC14

The little one perhaps, but the bigger one will be getting up shortly, you can count on that, and we'd best put him down before he does ;)
Notice how he has an actual to hit bonus that's scary? That means he has hit dice, and therefore your color spray has merely stunned him for a few rounds at most.

Also you still owe me an attack of opportunity GM.
Vire cries out seeing the Red-Haired woman struck down.
"My lady! Stay strong I am coming!"
Vire notices the goblin's newfound anger towards the other woman and calls out to taunt it to hopefully draw its ire.
"Idiotic goblin you think you can best me? I'll have you know I own a whole pack of dogs!"
Vire may not be very good at bluffing.
Anger the dumb goblin!: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (10) - 2 = 8
Vire charges the woman's attacker and tries to slice it in two.
Charging Slice: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Damage: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (1, 3) + 2 = 6
Vire Locke |
"Unfortunately your friend suffered needlessly, I should have dispatched it first before killing their leader. I had hoped slaying him would break their morale. Let us kill the last of these beasts and I will see what I can do to heal up all of those who fell."
jimibones83 |
After you kill the last goblin, the man looks up at you from the ground, bleeding and holding his dead hound. He sets him down and approaches those of you standing.
"Those goblins fought fierce, much more so than I would have ever imagined. If not for you all I fear I would have suffered the same fate as my dog. My names Aldern Foxglove. I'm very sorry about your comrades, but thank you very much for what you did. I am staying at the Rusty Dragon. I'll be there for a few more days. Please stop in while I'm still in town, give me a chance to show my grattitude."
With that he scoops up his dog and heads off.
Vire Locke |
Vire will move around to each injured comrade and administer to them a potion of cure light wounds starting with the red haired woman.
"Drink this my lady, I'm sorry I didn't protect you better."
Potion of Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Moving on to the darkskinned male.
"Awaken, brother."
Potion of Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
And finally to the fair woman at the other end of the area.
"You lost a lot of blood my lady, this should help staunch your wounds."
Potion of Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Vanea Lothmatis |
Slowy rising from the ground, Vanea tries to brush most of the dirt from her clothes, which are now tainted with her own blood.
She searches something into her backpack, and produces a small vial. Walking to the dead gobelins, she carefully let one drop of liquid fall onto each corpse.
Sprinkles some perfume on each stinking Goblin.
There is no small revenge.
Lifting her dress to look if her slender, beatiful legs are unhurted- strangely, just when the fighter was looking at her- she asks with a sensual voice
Does someone needs some more healing, besides myself? My savior, I hope?
Her smile is inviting
Vire Locke |
Vire watches the woman examine her perfect form before asking her question to him. Immediately feeling himself blush he looks away.
"I uh, suppose I could use an healer's touch. I think most the wounds are superficial, but I'm not opposed to submitting myself to your expertise."
Eloviel |
Her eyes fluttering, Eloviel finally wakes. The first thing she sees is a rugged warrior standing over her.
Sitting up slowly, she asks "W-what happened? All I remember was coming out of the corner only to find a dog rushing at me..."
Then hearing the chaos still on-going from afar, she remembers. Flashes of what happened during the last few minutes. "Goblins... goblins everywhere. Where did they come from?"
Seeing the chaos of smoke and fire triggers memories of her childhood, rushing at her; she curls up a bit, hugging her legs and rocks back and forth.
Vire Locke |
Vire turns back to face the speaking woman.
"Goblins attacked the whole town, it seems it has settled down a bit for now at least. As for where they came from, I have no idea."
Blue and Nu |
Blue opens his eyes to find himself uncharacteristically lying on the ground. His dark complexion covers some of his blush at the embarrassment. "Um, hey thanks. Give a guy a hand up?"
The half-elf comes to his feet and examines the surroundings. "This place knows how to throw a %$§ing party," he utters deadpan. "What happened to the dog and its guy?"
Natalia Irvington |
Natalia chuckles as she notices the shift of complexion on Vire.
Oh, this should be good.
She takes the hand of the half-elf to pull him up.
"The dog is dead, his master carried him off, poor buggers both of them."
She sits down in front of the knee-hugging woman.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (9) + 13 = 22
"Hey, it's over. Sshhhh.", then ruffles the woman's hair with a hopefully comforting smile.
Blue and Nu |
"Any of you know anything about these greenies? What tribe they're from, for instance?" Blue examines the commando's remains, especially for anything that resembles a tribe emblem - a token, a tattoo, a ritual scar.
Take 10 on search for 16
Vanea Lothmatis |
The half elf hand wanders around the fighter's crotch, not very discreetly, as she whispers in his ear
Stealthy naughty hand? (untrained): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Vanea then get the wounded around her, and let two short pulses of energy out. Each wave of healing caress sensually the body of the wounded, removing the painful sensation and obliterating the scars
Channel Energy, twice: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 3) = 9
jimibones83 |
hahaha, that grope couldn't have been more obvious lol
If you guys wich to backtrack you can gather up 12 dogslicers, a whip, a potion of CLW, 2 shortbows, 40 arrows, a whip, 20gp a masterwork horsechopper, a potion of CMW, and 13 sets of very stinky, makeshift studded leather armor. All gear is obviously sized for a small creature. How you guys will take care of party treasure would be a good conversation to have over in Discussion now.
Vire Locke |
The beautiful women not so subtly grabs hold of Vire and whispers into his ear. Immediately the blade of light he had been holding onto shimmers, its blade warping like a wave before popping out of existence. Vire himself seems to be overcome with a fit of coughs.
Blue and Nu |
Blue watches the antics with admiration before shaking his head. "It seems clear that the elven half of the cleric is the dominant one."
He lays out the findings from the goblins for the others to view and frowns to himself. "Is it strange that these goblins have no clan or tribal markings?"

Whoops, forgot to address that. They are Thistletop goblins
Eloviel |
Still looking up at Vire, Eloviel witnesses the other female half-elf's 'grab', before she moves on to heal the rest of the people in the plaza. Feeling better, it allowed her to regain her composure but feeling embarassed.
Ooh. Master would be mad at me for being knocked out so easily. A week after going off on my own, and I just nearly died. And I had been so if these people weren't around.
Standing up with renewed vitality, she faces Vire and does a curtsie, finishing with a flourish. "Thank you kind sir. Had it not been for your bravery, I'm afraid I would not be able to see another sunset."
Standing up she finally addresses the group, "I am Eloveil, a travelling bard. As thanks for my rescue, allow me to sing a tune or two when we're free from this mess. But perhaps we should first check that the rest of the town is free from these creatures?"
Vanea Lothmatis |
Vanea glances coldly at the new girl, trying to assess how threatening she could be.
A bard? And she wants to sing? How does she dare? I shouldn't have healed her...
With a fake smile on her lips, the beautiful half elf says jealously
So you're a travelling bard? How sweet! Don't let us detain you and keep on travelling..
She openly removes her hand from Vire's crotch.
What an amazing trick... but i've found where you hide your "blade", sir, from a first hand experience...
Natalia Irvington |
Wow, instant recovery from rocking hugging your knees to standing like nothing ever happened...
"First "hand" experience, uhuh.", cheeky teasing smile.
"Anyway, i am Natalia, one of the locals. It's a shame your first experience of our town had to be such a troublesome one. I suggest we take a look around town and if the coast is clear, The Rusty Dragon is a good place to regain your strenght."
Vanea Lothmatis |
Where was i supposed rocking on the ground? I thought you were referring to an NPC... I described Vanea as rising, brushing the dirt from her clothes, sprinkling some perfume on the goblins.. Never hugging her knees and rocking.^^
Blue and Nu |
"The Rusty Dragon is a little rich for my blood, but maybe it's okay to treat myself after nearly dying. It's a good idea, Natalia." Blue concedes, subtly checking whether the mystical warrior has a damp spot on his breeches before turning away from the scene. He gathers the two clumsy vials and the goblins' gold. "There're 20 kings here!" he calls out loud enough for those present to hear. "Seems like a lot for a goblin. I'd suggest we split it evenly." Almost as a seeming afterthought, he adds, "Oh, right. I'm Berylandroth'ril. Most folk just call me Blue on account a my eyes."
Blue and Nu |
"Actually, I kinda need to run to the stables first and check on my 'orse. My h-orse, Nu," he repeats with some effort to get the initial sound out.
Blue and Nu |
Natalia's words give him pause. It seems clear that the half-elf is favoring his unstabbed side. The exposed wounds still look red and unstable. "Well, er..." The emotions of a forest dweller unused to asking for help cascade across his face. "I'd be a fool to turn down any 'elp offered." There is the slightest indication of relief as his shoulders relax.
