The town of Sandpoint is a remote town on the Lost Coast, it stands as bastion to the civilization in this otherwise rugged area. You have come from far and wide, or maybe this has always been your home, regardless today is a big day. The unveiling of the long awaited cathedral, the old church burnt down in a devastating fire that nearly destroyed the northern end of town.

Sandpoint is wealthy for its exports of wood and other goods that are plentiful in this region. The nobles funded a new lavish place of worship, and thus the new Sandpoint Cathedral was built!

The town is bustling with activity. Both inns are full, people line the streets. Early in the morning the opening speeches begin in the square in front of the new cathedral.
You do not have to be present for this part, let me know where you all are.

The mayor steps up to the front of a crowd that has gathered and she motions for silence. A murmur descends on through the square.
"Welcome to all, to the Swallowtail Festival in honor of our new cathedral! I see many new faces in the crowd and I am very happy to welcome you to Sandpoint! All the locals have come out of their homes, also, even Larz Rovanky. I haven't seen you out of your shop since your daughters wedding! Anyway, eat, drink, and be merry for this is a great time for Sandpoint!"
As she finishes her speech the crowd cheers and soon a mailed man fills her place, "There are many folk not from these parts, and I only ask you respect our home. Be careful in the festivities all, especially around tonight's bonfire. Our good friend Lonjiku was to speak as well, but a sudden illness has sent him to rest. Might I ask for a moment of silence for those who perished in the fire five year's past."
He lowers his head for a few moments, then steps off the podium, his spot quickly filled by a cheerful man.
"When I first came here, all of you were all work work. Well I saw to that, didn't I? The theatre has seen more performances in my residence than it has for all of Sandpoint's history. I plan on turning the story of our fated play into a production to travel all over Varisia and praise the name Sandpoint! I encourage you all to stop by many of the traveling troupes that have came from far and wide to entertain you all on this festival occation! And don't forget my production of 'The Harpy's Curse' only has ten more performances before we move onto some other show. Starring none other than the famous diva Allishanda straight from Magnimar so come see it while it lasts!"
Finally, a robed man steps up and speaks softly, you must strain to hear him. "Thank you all for coming and thank Erastil for our safety and longevity."
The crowd disperses for the day's festivities, in the southern end of town many games are taking place.

[spoiler=Eugeni]
You have been summoned by Sheriff Hemlock before the opening speeches along with the 5 other town guards. You stand with them in barracks.
"We are already stretched thin, without hundreds of outsiders coming to cause trouble in our little town. I know you don't like it, but I need all of you patrolling all day. We have more than we can handle .
He turns to you, "I want you and Jensen here to patrol from the Old Light to the North Gate, and as far south as Town Street. I don't expect much trouble, but the mob tends to stay under control in sight of the town watch."

He dismisses you with a wave and turns to the other 4, and begins giving them similar orders.

Excuse me but would it be possible to set up a little stand, it is a kissing both and a game, just stay awake after a kiss and you don't have to pay. what kind of price would be fair for such a game in this town? I ask because i don't normally do this. she says with a blush

goal is to do the slumber hex after the kiss, if they stay awake no payment, if they fall asleep they have to pay something small like a few copper or silver at most. this is all just for fun.

"Isn't it all of Them?", a scarfed Varisi dancer asks, smiling. "Wouldn' it be?", she smiles again. "Not that I know of such things. But I am of Desna, and we, who are devoted to Her, think this-", she indicates the cathedral with a nod of her head and an outswept arm, turning around Terran as though in dance, "-is too. But we also claim for Her the night sky, and dreams... So, don' listen to us. But try, maybe, to listen to Her."

Tessara:

You find the woman who gave the first opening speech, she introducdes herself, "Hello, you're not from around here I'd say. We don't get many elves through here. Welcome, I am Mayor Deverin, you may call me Kendra if you wish. I see no trouble with your game, you may set it up in the market square." Area 35 on the map.
Before you leave, she asks, "What brings you through these parts so late in the year?" and quickly adds "That's not to say your kind aren't welcome, I love elves."

Eugeni:

You patrol for much of the morning with nothing of interest happening. The sheriff was right, when people see you they are on their best behavior. Although as lunch approaches, you find yourselves walking north on Church Street, and the White Deer Area 3 is full of people, to many actually. People are fussing about not being able to get their promised meal. A large half-orc shoves a man as he tries to sneak in front of him. "You'll wait your turn like everyon else," He grumbles. The man, clearly from out-of-town, seems offended, "The day I eat after an orc..." He is cut off by another half-orc behind him, as he shoves the man into the dirt. Then a friend of the human, steps up and draws a blade. The four look ready to fight, and the people surrounding them back off but stay to watch the event.

Terran:

After Noamuth's remark, a human woman next to you says, "Aye, this cathedral pledges worship to Adabar, Desna, Erastil, Gozreh, Sarenrae, and Shelyn, all the major gods in this region. You're not from around here, I take? Pleased to meet you I am Ameiko, you should come have lunch at my inn, the Rusty Dragon, newcomers seem to flock to the place. Speaking of which, I should get back down there and make sure all's well. Farewell." She walks down the street towards the south end of town.

"Now then gents, there is no need for that. There is plenty of food for everyone and this is a day for celebration. Sir, you may be aware that there is a law in Sandpoint against baring steel towards another in anger, but we both know this was not an act of agression, is that not so? You merely intended to show your friend here the fine craftsmanship of your new blade, correct? You come upon two elves, one playing a lute, the other singing. They are a man and woman, dressed in green garments. The woman sings a common elven ballad of two lovers pitted against each other by society, her voice is soft and sweet and is complemented by the lute's mellody. There is a small crowd gathered around them, in sort of a trance. There is an upturned hat in from of the performers and every so often, an audience member steps forward to throw a copper and the occasional silver into the hat. You, however are present, as the elves were nearby for their performance. If you give chase, you quickly catch up to the guard and pass him, soon after you catch the thief after a few minutes of pursuit through the town, near the cliffs overlooking the Old Light. Noa's speed is only 30, the Urban Barbarian trades the 10' speed for not slowing through crowds. So in this case, the target might be slowed, and she might slip through and nab him. She's also got 10' of reach with a trip weapon, if that comes up. :)

"Eons ago, the great goddess Desna fell to earth and suffered many injuries. She was nursed to health by a child plagued with blindness. As a reward for his faith, he was given the greatest gift of all, immortality. He was to spend the rest of his days as a gracious butterfly, flying along the wind. He is still flying to this day."
As he finishes his anecdote, Father Zantus pulls the cover off the wagon to reveal a furious storm of swallowtail butterflies that swarm into the air in a spiraling riot of color to a great cheer from the crowd. A stray dog that has crawled under a nearby wagon to sleep starts awake, and the buzz of two dozen conversations quickly hushes as all heads turn toward the central podium, where a beaming Father Zantus has taken the stage. He clears his throat, takes a breath to speak, and suddenly a woman's scream slices through the air. A few moments later another scream rises, then another. Beyond them, a sudden surge of strange new voices rises - high-pitched, tittering shrieks that sound not quite human. The crowd parts and something low to the ground races by, giggling with disturbing glee as the stray dog gives a painful yelp then collapses with a gurgle, its throat cut open from ear to ear. As blood pools around its head, the raucous sound of a strange song begins, chanted from shrill, scratchy voices.

Let me know what you guys think of doing it this way, or if you have suggestions on how you would like to utilize the tool.

Terran, Ameiko has stayed behind at the Rusty Dragon to tend to things there, alas you do not find her.

Noa, many people around you, young and old alike, join you in the dance. And more than a few are staring.

Can I get a single Aid Another, for a 25 result? :)

I've got to the roll20 site, looks useful.

Since Noa's last in the round, I'll wait and see what happens before declaring any intent for her. I guess she's still in the dance.

Male Halfling Bard 1 / Rogue 1 (Carnivalist)

Armen rubs his eyes, confused at the sudden shift in the mood.

"Did I mix that last batch wrong?" he muses out loud. He moves toward the source of the distraction, Move Action, 20' towards the goblins

When Armen spies the source of the disturbance, he sighs.

"Ah, such an unpleasant sort. Crashing a perfectly lovely festival."

Armen points up in the sky and shouts at them in goblin

Spoken in Goblin:

"Your risk the wrath of the gods, here, foolish goblins! They bring their fire down upon you! Flee!"

Bluff check 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26

Standard Action Armen will cast Dancing Lights [DC 14] in the air above the goblins.[/ooc]

A vaguely humanoid shape appears in the air, glowing with what Armen hopes the Goblins think of as divine fury. It drops toward them, waving it's arms.

...nothing worse than a clever illusionist. For the enemy. :)

Eugeni startles by the sudden crack, but seems to get his bearings quickly. He mutters, half loadly to himself "Goblins! This time you won't find so easy victims" as he draws his Falchion and charges the closest goblin!

DM, if Eugeni can reach a goblin with a charge action he will. (if not direct line a move action will do, or else he will simply close the distance with a double move/run action)

To hit, melee 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

"Goblins why are they here? Guards men allow me to assist."

Terran will move up 15 ft closer to the goblins, and then I will cast bless to everyone who looks like they are opposing the goblins. I will then go into a sort of battle stance.

Bless:

Bless fills your allies with courage. Each ally gains a +1 morale bonus on attack rolls and on saving throws against fear effects.
