Dot, and here's the list of our illustrious and surely undefeatable group:

Group B(ehir) in alphabetical order:

+Borgorin Rockstomper - Dwarven Cleric of Cayden Cailean
+Dreadan Darlok - Half Orc Fighter
+Iriesys Gadomain - Elven Bladebound Kensai Magus
+Ridley Blix - Halfling Archaeologist Bard
+Seltyn Sevenleaf - Elven Admixture Evoker
EDIT: Heh, I just realized Group Behir is human free.
Human free? That's the way I like it!

Now I'm curious.
*Youtube is blocked from work computer so I'll have to wait a few hours to see the video.

This group is a lot different than my IRL group. My IRL group has almost all humans. Out of the 9 of us, the gnome druid and I, the elven Alchemist, are the only non-humans. That being said, Human's are unnecessary.
Also, US Eastern time.

Central time here. :)

I'll miss every other Saturday. If my gaming schedule changes, I'll let you know.
Its cool. I've noticed that the forums seem to slow a bit on Saturdays. I, myself, run a game every other Saturday, so as long as you post regularly post during the week, there is no pressure to spend your weekend behind a computer screen. :)
Bogorin Rockstomper |
hahaha Thanks for all the laughs and smiles on her already folks! Haven't even started yet and already we're off to a great start! :)
I'm Eastern time, way up north here in Toronto Canada (well, as of last Friday. Just got back from living the past 5 years in Mexico! Not quite sure what it is in my brain that prompted me to leave paradisaical white sand beaches and crystal clear blue oceans for upcoming Winter, but that said, i am happy to be home ; )
Anyhoo, I should normally be able to post several times a day (try and stop me!) but for sure at least once, with of course allowing for the occasional unexpected intrusion of RL rudely interrupting my Game Time.
Seltyn Sevenleaf |
I don't mind humans too much. My tutor was a human. Strange fellow, in some ways, but he did know his magic. What I can't stand are those cursed Canucks!
Just moved from sunny SoCal to northern Indiana to help out with an older relative, so I feel your pain, Rockstomper. Not a big fan of the cold. :(
Ringtail |
I believe that I actually miss the same days as you. This past Saturday was a game day for you, correct? If so. Then our schedule is currently the same.
Correct. This is a good thing.

I work a desk job, so I often have time to post even while working, and am generally on to check my threads on and off several times a day, so I should be able to keep up whatever pace you set. Like I said, people seem to slow down on weekend or holidays or whenever issues in life pop up and that is all expected as long as notice is given so we don't think you've just disappeared.
I should have the game thread up sometime later this afternoon/evening, depending on how busy my work is.
EDIT: I should mention that everyone will be beginning in the small town of Wartle. You'll likely be leaving the town for the Harenshire within a few posts of beginning, so don't worry too much about having ties with the village if you didn't already intend to, but maybe a reason in mind for why you'd be on a brief stay in town so your presence won't feel forced.

I don't know what time zone it is (just moved here), but I'm in Idaho. Should be able to post at least once a day on weekdays, probably more...on weekends I don't always have net access, but it's not impossible for me to swing by. Still getting the character thrown together, but I think everything is effectively done, just need to fill it all out. Background is still being worked on. Will have it up and done after I get a look at the guide, though in about an hour I'm hitting the road again, and wont be back online tell tomorrow morning.
"For my purposes, humans are great. Always nice to have someone just a hair behind to act as fall guy when things go south."

You're probably in the Mountain time zone, unless you're in the northern part of the state, then you're on Pacific time.

Seltyn, yep, in the southern part of the state, so that looks to be right, thanks.
Bogorin, thanks!
Ringtail, I was hoping, if it’s not too late, to take the following alternate racial ability from Halflings of Golarion, with the intent of eventually taking the feats described below. I just picked up halflings of golarion yesterday and saw the option when I got home last night. If you say no I promise I wont cry, but I do think it fits what I want to do with Ridley rather well.
Halfling Jinx
You lose the Halfling luck racial trait and instead gain the ability to curse another creature with bad luck at will as a standard action. This curse has a range of 30 feet, and you must be able to see the target and have line of effect to it. The target gets a Will saving throw to resist (DC=10+1/2level+charisma mod. If your target makes this saving throw, it is immune to your jinx for 24 hours. A jinxed creature takes a -1 penalty on all saving throws for 24 hours, or until you attempt to use your jinx again. A jinx is supernatural ability, is not mind-affecting, does not allow spell resistance, and can affect any kind of creature not immune to luck effects.
Sluggish Jinx (will take at 7th level)
Your jinx’s penalty on saving throws also applies to the target’s initiative and attack rolls.
Jinxed Spell
any two metamagic feats (will take at 5th level)
any creature that fails its saving throw against a jinxed spell also suffers the effects of your jinx. This feat has no effect on spells that do not allow a saving throw. If the spell affects an area or multiple creatures, you must select one creature take the jinx, unless you have Area Jinx. A jinx spell uses up a spell slot one level higher than it otherwise would.

I was very impressed with it, especially after being so dissapointed with the gnome book. The jinxes especially, though there's almost too many cool jinx feats. I wish they would have done a short prestige class for jinxing instead of the opportunistic halfling, and done a couple opportunistic feats. Either way, best race book so far in my opinion.

I'm not going to be posting for a while. My father died last night, and I'm going to be going out of town for a while to get all of the preparations done, as well as the funeral. I'm not entirely sure how long it's going to be before I'm able to post again, as I won't have regular access to a computer. Sorry for the inconvenience. If you feel the need to drop me due to lagging story or whatever, do so. I would much rather, however, be NPCd.

No problem. I'll take control of you if need be. I'm sorry to hear about your loss and hope to see you back soon.

I would like to sincerely apologize for my repeated and prolonged absences. I’ve recently been invited to take part in a rather grand project that has usurped the greater majority of my free time, and between that and my regular work hours I have little energy left over to devote to the multitude of games I am involved in (running several, playing in a few more). It is unfair of me to expect all of you to devote an amount time and effort into something that I cannot match. I’ve enjoyed all of you and your characters and it has been a pleasure to game with you, but unfortunately, after much consideration, I’ve come to the conclusion that I need to end, or at least postpone, a few games for the time being. It is inappropriate for me to expect my games to continue smoothly and satisfyingly when I can only make enough time in my schedule to post in each thread once every so often. Seeing as my newest games are my two groups of Night Below, those were unfortunately the ones that made the most sense to drop first (along with a few local table games). I hope that within several weeks my schedule will even out and I will have the ability to devote the attention to the games that I run that you all deserve, and when that day comes, I would like to invite you to continue this campaign.

Things were getting a little hectic for me too, so though I'm not happy at all to see this go on the back burner, it gives me just enough wiggle room to stay sane(ish). Thanks for the heads up, and super big thanks for the opportunity to play in this classic campaign. Looking forward to the day I see this back and running.
Seltyn Sevenleaf |
Yeah, I was going to play on the dwarves side, but there weren't enough elves initially, so I switched to elf and drug out Seltyn because I've got a zillion aliases already. If no one minds, I'd still like to play in this game, too. I can make another name and play basically the same character. That game is CRB only, 15 pt. buy, so Seltyn was cooler here than he is there.
Problem is, he's the party leader in that game, so renaming him there is a little more trouble than doing that here.
Well, we'll see what Ringtail thinks and see if we can get all or most of the group back on board. I liked the party here a lot. It would be nice to get to Galduria someday!

Human free since AR 4703!
So...enter "Sylten" Sevenleaf? :)
We really only need at least half of this group and half of group Aboleth still around. With at least 3 and 3 a gate can mysteriously open up and suck away the missing PCs while depositing new ones from Golarion World 52 into your laps.
