Guiness checks to the west, outside the palisade, for any signs of the goblins from that direction, as they heard voices there before.

Assuming he doesn't see them immediately approach, he takes a moment to move over and roll the sleeping goblin off the bridge with his heavily armored foot. "The water will wake him up, for sure. If he has any sense, he'll never show up around here again," thinks Guiness.

If there are goblins approaching (the ones who were making noises before off to the west), he will charge them.

While the others clean up loose ends after their battle, Flo sets to work patching up her friends. "Don't move so much, you're wounded!" she complains as everyone practically sets off into different directions. With a defeated sigh, she stands in the middle of them and channels yet again.

"Any information we can get would be useful, I think it is worth a shot!" she chimes in on the topic of interrogation. "Let's not take too long though, who knows what they're doing on the inside of the fort in preparation for an assault now!"

Guiness doesn't notice anything coming from the west, suggesting that perhaps you have a reprieve for a few moments. When he pushes the pink goblin off the bridge, its little body tumbles a couple of times before hitting the surface of the water below with a sickening slap. From the way its body rapidly sinks beneath the waves and blood rises to the surface, you think it probably died on impact.

Falling Damage vs. Pink: 2d3 + 4d6 ⇒ (3, 2) + (3, 3, 5, 4) = 20

Flo's holy energy heals the party's wounds in a matter of moments, along with healing those of the green goblin. Said goblin drops his little short sword and looks up at the longshank with mad fear in his eyes. He offers little resistance when Kargas picks him up and pins him to the wall by the neck.

"GEEHCK, GEEEEK, GUUURK." The goblin gesticulates wildly as Kargas chokes him. Though he's not able to talk clearly (due to being pinned by his throat), he still points animatedly towards the double doors to the north.

None of your gear in here Guiness.
Flo's channel brought everyone to full HP.

Sighing after seeing no sign of his gear, Guiness wipes off his borrowed dagger on a convenient dead goblin cloak, flips it and hands it back to Rig, saying “Thank you for the loan of the weapon, firey warrior.” He moves over to the fine daggers in the south wall and pulls them both down, sliding one into his well-worn boot (that seems to be well-used to housing a boot dagger) and holds out the other, ”Anyone need a dagger?”

Grunting in annoyance, Kargas lowers the goblin to the ground and releases his grip on it's throat. "Try that again," he demands.

Brother Guiness retrieves not two, but seven daggers from where they were pinning the wings in place. Of them, six appear largely ordinary. But one has a beautiful pearl handle inscribed with undulating ocean waves (An art piece worth 100 gp).

When Kargas stops blocking the goblin's windpipe, he begins to wheeze noisily before stammering in broken common "Many more goblin everywhere, up and down and around! Big- big boss Ripnugget over THERE over THERE! " He points insistently at the double doors to the north. "Honest! He even got fancy fire hammer. Swear it true! Let go! Let go!" He squirms in Kargas' grip, while simultaneously shining hopeful eyes up at his captors. "Pip helpful, yes? Let go!"

He cocks his head to the side when asked about the tunnels, not understanding what you mean.

Brother Guiness starts for the door to the north that the goblin indicated, a red haze at the edge of his vision at the thought of a self-styled goblin boss with his hammer! Is he wise enough to slow down and plan tactics with his new companions, maybe even borrowing the proffered spear from the puissant half-human?

Will save to not charge directly through the door: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12

Shaking with rage, Guiness asks in a deceptively quiet tone, "Are we ready to go in?" However calm his demeanor, the flexing fists and the tension in his shoulders, visible even through his battle-worn armor give evidence of his barely contained seething rage.

"Just a moment!" Flo responds to Guiness's call to battle. I can't stand goblins either, but something has got him riled up! If he is going to dive right in there, he might as well have a real weapon.

If Kargas accepts, she takes the Ranseur from him. She then stands in front of the Dwarf and holds it towards him. "This will probably work better for you than that," she suggests, pointing to the dagger he insists on arming himself with. Just before heading through the doors, she will spread more of her Goddess' favor upon the group.

Bless on the group right before the doors open. No opinion on what to do with our captive goblin. As a player I frankly can't say what Flo would want done with him. Goblins are assaulting her home, but this one is named Pip and Pip has been helpful. As long as Pip isn't tortured, Flo will roll with whatever happens to him.

Guiness will accept the Ranseur gratefully from Floredana, but it is clear his focus is elsewhere, like a tightly wound spring poised to release. He appears to have forgotten about Pip altogether ever since the Hammer was mentioned.

Since you guys seem like you might be trying it soon:
When you check the double doors to the north, you realize that they stand out against the simple construction of the the rest of the fort. The two heavy oaken doors with brass handles look like they must've been swiped from elsewhere and incorporated into the fort - definitely not goblin construction.

Trying the door's handles, you realize that they've been locked.

Taking a deep breath, Guiness attempts to calm himself after realizing that they may need to wait to go through the door (at least until they find a key or someone with lockpicking skill can help out).

Feeling like he needs to explain himself, Guiness speaks to Floredana, who just handed him the spear. ”When I left home, my parents gave each gave me a gift. It is...difficult for me to know they are in the hands of these filthy creatures. My mother gave me a unique Warhammer, sacred to Torag and wielded by my great-great-grandmother, who was a famed warpriestess. I am...anxious to get it back.”

Kellek attempts to avoid the conversation at all costs and works on solving the party's door jam problem. He keeps his mithril-bladed dagger out, one, to show up everyone with a more usual sort of dagger, and two, in case he needs to shiv someone.

"I'd be mad if a goblin took my weapons. Embarrassed too, humiliated even," Kargas offers, apparently trying to be amicable. He grins at Flo and Rig, pleased with his first foray into diplomacy.

Thumbing at the goblin, the half-orc's smile fades. "So...do we let him go?" He would very clearly rather hurl Pip off Thistletop to be dashed against the rocks below.

Kellek listens at the doors to the west, but hears nothing on the other side. They appear to be made of salvaged timber from shipwrecks and have simple pull handles and no locks in sight.

Once you're up near the northern doors, you look down the eastern hallway and spot... yet more doors! Two more single doors leading northwards, and one more leading east. (Map updated!) Other than the aforementioned locked set of fine doors, the rest of the doors here appear to be a mismatched assortment of salvage and densely bundled branches.

Walking inside the fort, he can't help but smile at Kargas interrogation technique. When someone mentioned the locked doors, Colvyn start digging into his pockets. "Let me see if I can help with that." First, he looks for traps, and then, if he doesn't find any, he then attempts to unlock the door.

Once Guiness and Kargas swing open the heavy doors, Guiness rushes ahead, pushing through a set of woven reed curtains and into a large chamber. This large throne room is decorated with hanging furs along its walls, mostly black-and-red striped firepelt skins, various dog pelts, and in some cases, what look like horse hides. Four solid timber posts support the ceiling, their surface studded with dozens of iron spikes, with the lower reaches decorated with dozens of impaled and severed hands in various stages of decay. To the northeast, a wooden platform supports a throne heaped with dog pelts and horse hides. Dog skulls adorn the armrests and a horse skull leers over the throne’s back. A smoldering red warhammer with a dragonskin grip has been set into the horse skull's mouth.

A grey-green skinned goblin wearing a bronze helmet and iron breastplate reclines upon the throne and nurses a burned hand. (See slide 2 of handouts). Sitting at attention in front of him is a giant green and blue gecko. Two more armored goblins stand on either side, leaning into the pillars in front of them for cover, and wielding horse-choppers.

Perception DC23 as you look over this scene:
Three more armored goblins have climbed up the north west, north west and south east pillars and are currently hiding near the ceiling. Additionally, another goblin hides behind the throne.

More disciplined than most goblins, none of these rush in immediately to attack. The warchief shouts out in passable common "YOU'RE THE ONES THAT RUINED OUR RAID! BE-GOING! YOU'RE NOT WELCOME IN THE PRESENCE OF WARCHIEF RIPNUGGET!"

I expect you're interested in just caving their heads in, but this is an opportunity to (at least briefly) speak with your enemy if you wish. If no one wants to by this evening, we can jump right into combat. Anyone taking an action that could be considered hostile (like casting a spell or advancing further into the room), will also start the combat right away.

He will put her in place as servant, and raise goblins up as conquerors!"

"Maybe Ripnugget will let Nualia clean his toenails afterward, hehehehe!"

To be clear, Guiness is rushing in. Call it 3-5 seconds for him to see the hammer, take the deep breath, then bellow. Long enough for other people to react (make Perception checks, say something quick, try to stop Guiness from charging in—not advised, by the way).

Colvyn's arrow sails through the air and strikes the flatfooted blue goblin guard. While it leaves him gravely injured, he remains standing. After a blessing from Flo, Guiness rushes forwards towards his precious hammer. He reaches the throne platform, but as he tries to get past the chieftain, he finds that the area behind the throne (north-east corner of the room) is already occupied by another goblin! This goblin is lightly armored and wielding a curved dogslicer. (I moved Guiness 1 square west to account for his target location already being occupied)

Kargas weaves between the spiked columns, but his powerful swing catches on one of the extended spikes and misses its intended target.

Ripnugget quickly leaps onto his gecko and snarls at the approaching dwarf. (I've moved the gecko's token off map, as Ripnugget is sharing his square) "We should have stuck you on a spear earlier! Take this, dwarfling!" He swings in with his shortsword, glancing a blow off Guiness' armor. Meanwhile, his gecko delivers a surprisingly accurate bite to the dwarf's legs. (Dealing 5 points of damage)

Grinning from atop his gecko, he calls out "Surround the dwarfling!"
