Any of you guys from the game want in, post here and we can work out characters.

•20 Point Buy
•2 traits, one being a campaign trait. 1 drawback allowed.
•Core races and Aasimar, Changeling, Tengu and Tiefling allowed. Alternative heritages for Aasimars and Tieflings barred, but you may roll once (here in thread) for a variant ability, but then twice for alternate physical features if you do.
•Core, Base and Hybrid classes allowed, but run archetypes by me first, please.
•Max HP at 1st level, rolled thereafter (but add 1 extra HP at all levels)
•Hero points will be in this, but you will only gain them at a new level. No hero pount feats or traits may be taken.
•Leadership fear barred, as are the new pseudo-Leadership feats.
•No evil alignments, nor worship of evil deities.
•Paizo official material only. Have characters concepted, made and ready by 12/16, please.

Thinking of working up a Warpriest.

AKA-Terrance.

Sounds cool! Let's see what everyone else works up.

Dark Archive

Considering a human (jadwiga) summoner with emphasis on demons, descendant of Tashanna. If another party role needs filled I can pitch something else, or if demons are too evil I can refluff.

Second option would be a giant-hunting gnome ranger.

RPG Superstar 2009 Top 16

Considering Arctic Druid or Boreal or Stormborn Sorceror, although Mammoth Shaman looks interesting as well.

Mammoth shaman?

RPG Superstar 2009 Top 16

Shaman focused on the Mammoth spirit

I'll work on her adjustments to your campaign preferences and have her ready by your deadline, in the meantime, this is the character I mentioned before complete with background. She has a dog, but he's meant to be a pet with few commands if you'll allow him.

DM Twilight

so daughter of finn, with a dog. :)
Not judging . .. whistles and wanders off into the distance. :)

@Mark: Interesting! I seem to have missed that in the Shaman write up. Thought you were talking about druids...

@Twilight: Nifty. Also, Adventure Time reference?

Oh, and Twilight, please lower Annalisa down to level 1 and adjust it accordingly (such as losing the Harbinger's Mantle)

Money ??

Derp. 150 GP starting off

Thanks. :)

Now just trying to figure a name now, but the concept is a straight up warpriest. :)

What race and deity, if I may ask?

Dwarf, and Torag

Here he is.
Mok-AKA Terrance.

Looks good so far, Mok!

Aka Ioann. Just dotting for now.

Welcome, Ioann!

So far completed we have

Melee
• Ordrik Stonehelm - Dwarf Warpriest of Torag - Northern Ancestry

Ranged

Skill

Caster

Shadow Lodge

Hi it says closed so i dont know if you are still recruiting, i was thinking i want to play a Pistolero or Bolt Ace depending on how you feel about firearms. Anyway tell me if there is a spot so i can submt :)

@ElementalXX: I'm afraid that by closed it means only people who were invited may participate in it. Sorry, but unless you have received the invite you cannot submit a character.

Thank you for your enthusiasm though!

Shadow Lodge

Ok thanks for taking time to answer tought :)

Hummm, I hadn't noticed the races. Would Sylph be acceptable? I know you did not list it, but its much less powerful than Aasimar and was included in the background of my character... as well as the personnality going with it... although, I guess I could weave in the aasimar and say its a Sylph... that would work too.

Here is a link to the original version of the character which will soon be transformed into a Skald.

Grimkell son of Ogmundr

Hmm... I guess I could open it up to include Sylphs, Undines, Oreads and Ifrits, but I'd really like a good strong background. As for Grimkell, stat them down to 1 and rewrite them to be a Skald. They are quite a unique character concept.

GM Aneirin, the background is already in the link above. Would that be sufficient to justify the race?

So guys/girl, how do our characters know each other? I am not really into reading other characters background (I prefer discovering through roleplay). However, the profile of Grimkell does contain a spoiler free background.

Anyone has ideas how to connect Grimkell to their characters? Anyone has a spoiler free background of their characters?

RPG Superstar 2009 Top 16

Will be working on developing the character tonight, I'm mst inclined to go with the Mammoth Shaman. Any thoughts?

@Celtic: I read the background, and that is the buggest reason I'm allowing it. Way to go!

@Mark: Mammoth Shaman sounds fine.

But yes, you all start in the small town of Heldren, and should know each other, either well or passingly.

I know with my warpriest, it is probably passingly, as I was just following where the wind goes. :)

Absolutely, working on it. Will have her adjusted as per your requirements by the deadline. Couldn't work on her today, but will do so tomorrow.

Alas, it wasn't directly meant to be an Adventure Time reference but now that you've mentioned it I like her that much better :D

RPG Superstar 2009 Top 16

I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around a mammoth shaman having anything on the Familiar's list rather than an animal companion, that's a wierd direction they took the class come to think of it.

I do not see any full BaB Characters.

If you would like, I could submit a character for that.

We could even take a vote on what I build!

Ake, Annalisa is a barbarian, should fill part of the full bab!

Also, here is Grimkell, resurrected from the death of his previous game! Yay!

@Ake: Annalisa is a barbarian. But build what you want, within reason of course.

Hummm.... I vote ake makes a blood rager! Super rage all around!

That or a paladin could be fun.

He he, bloodrager!

Oh, Bloodragers are nuts! But paladins are crazy too...

Make what you wish Ake, we'll figure things out as we go.

For your approval, Marcian the Stout.

Steelblood archtype on the bloodrager, Versatile Human.

Let me know what you think!

OK, I believe I have everything where it should be. If I missed anything, or butchered anything please let me know and I'll fix it immediately.

I removed her dog because I wasn't sure what your take on it was, if it's cool for her to have a guard dog, I'll add him to her altered sheet and spend the gold for him.

What is Marcian's bloodline? Steelblood is simply an archetype, not a true bloodline. Otherwise it's looking fine. Just need a short background and some way to know the other players.

Arcane for bloodline, background in a bit here.

@Mark Thomas: I guess you could always imagine that the shape of the spirit companion is that of a tiny version of a mammoth... just keep the stats of whichever animal you choose. No?

@DragonBlood: Cool, the previous group of Grimkell had a Jadigwa. However, Grimkell has been chased as is life by witches from the north... so would she still have connections with the withches of Irriesen? Just wondering how to fit the backgrounds..

Annalisa lives in Heldren, so it would be easy for anyone who lives there or visits there to have met her.

What would her job/occupation be?

Hmmm, I hadn't given that much thought before but now after going back over her story as I changed her profile I'd have to say she's a bouncer, lol. I had written in an incident (after having been asked a question by the original DM she was made for) where she was thrown out of a tavern for breaking a chair over a guy's back for getting handsy with her. The owner tried to get her to work off the damage, which was fine until she threw a flagon of ale at a man who was harassing one of the women who worked there. I'd say that these sort of incidents weren't uncommon for Annalisa, and that she's probably settled in Heldren for as long as she has because the tavern owner offered her a job to keep the drunks in check instead of banning her from the premises.

Should have him up by later today.

@Annalisa: Sounds pretty cool! Will read up in more depth later.

@Mark: Can't wait to see it!

Leaning more towards the Gnome since the Jadwiga is a little of a darker personality. Any thoughts/opinions?

Nothing saying your a good Jadwiga, though it would lead to some... Unique situations in the game. But a gnome is cool too!

Do what you want, I'll adjust!

GM Aneirin, what's your call on whether or not she can have a guard dog?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

You pay for it, it's yours. Better train it up proper, but otherwise I have no issue with it.
