Azana |

Narrowly avoiding the flying arrow, Azana decided two things. The cannon fire would have brought the attention of half the compound down on them anyway, and secondly that they needed to get off this wall before something shot them off it. They liked loud bangs? Azana could provide loud bangs.
Moving forwards (To j21) with a fluid dance-like motion, Azana finished the movement with a spin, bringing her booted foot down hard and giving a wordless yell at the same time.
In the midst of the enemies the yell was far more. A hideous explosion of sound roared out, covering the area in a cacophony of thunder for a moment before dying down.
(Any creature caught in the blast receives 3d8 ⇒ (4, 6, 1) = 11 in damage and must make a DC15 Fortitude save or be stunned for 1 round)

Kaleelah Highrock |

Just keep focused. It won't happen. It won't happen, no!
"Fire!" Kaleelah roared in a near feral hiss as she quickly conjured an immense sphere of flame in her hands. Only a second later, the druid gave the fireball a good toss, throwing it clear over the heads of all parties engaged in melee. It instead came crashing down on top of one of the small, cowardly archers in the back.

The Lion Shaman then waited for Jacen and Harland to bring down the rain, so she could send Nala into combat. Once that happened, the Lion Shaman rapidly gave out her orders.
"Nala, help Syndir!" said Kaleelah, pointing a finger at the enemy Elise and Syndir were currently facing. The druid figured that it would be best to focus on taking out the weakened links as quickly as possible. Less bodies to worry about.
Nala quickly followed the order without a second thought. Kaleelah had trained her to attack just about anything on command, so the armored lioness quickly joined the frontlines. Once next to Syndir, she reared her razor sharp teeth and attempted to bite the enemy.

Jacen moves forward twenty feet, squeezing around Harland to get closer to the creatures. He draws back the string to his bow and takes aim at the nearest creature not engaged by Elise and Syndir. With a prayer to Calistria he lets the arrow fly with a sharp snap of the bowstring!

Jacen- I moved you to J20, lets all be sure to read the other player's posts, Azana had moved to J21, thanks
The noise is, well, common. The strange sounds of the mysterious monsters as they hoot and screech, the sounds of boots on stone as friends charge headlong into battle, and the unmistakable sound of swords and spears as weapons are swung or thrust against flesh and armor, and then there is a brief silence, an unnatural calm.
Then the sound of a boot slammed hard and flat against the stones is followed by an eruption of noise, a explosion of rolling thunder that shatters the air.

Harland takes aim, ignoring the fact that his friends are in front of him and carefully squeezes off a shot. The bullet strikes the monster in the left arm, and to Harland’s surprise the monster seems only mildly aggravated by the attack.

Syndir – I’m not sure I understand what you were doing with the AOO there, could you help me understand?
Snydir’s sword work is both damaging and distracting to the monster in front of him.
And Elise capitalizes on the fact that the monster is distracted by Syndir’s flourish, and with speed she drives her blade in low, aiming for a vital organ in the lower back (where she hopes one will be) and it pays off.
With a screech through gritted teeth the monster between Elise and Syndir collapses and falls to the west, tumbling down the slope of the wall to land in a lifeless heap at the base of the wall.

Azana |

Azana grinned as the beasties continued to be clumped up. Fighting on the wall meant they had no choice. Of course, her own options were limited. She didn't want to get too close and get in the way of the others. And since they were still grouped up...
Spinning on the spot, Azana brought her foot down with a yell once more. The shattering peal of thunder belted out, catching the majority of the creatures on the wall in it's blast. Next time, she'd have to use something else - she didn't want to waste all her bardic gifts on this wall - but it was currently more important to get back off the wall. And right now, while they weren't shooting at her, she didn't want to call too much more attention to herself.

Kaleelah Highrock |

Having always had rather sensitive ears, Kaleelah winced as Harland's gun once again roared, though it helped distract her from certain other matters. Luckily, the gunslinger had always had been a good shot, and Nala was short enough walking on all fours that she would not be a target unless Harland directly aimed at her. With that out of her mind, the Lion Shaman then noticed that one of the smaller demonic lizard creatures was trying to surround little Elise; Kaleelah quickly ordered a full assault from her own animal companion to assist their friend.
"Nala, attack!"
The armored lioness let out an eager predatory roar, took a quick hop forward, and then quickly began to bite and claw her newly designated enemy.

However, the scent of the foul thing's odor seemed to be a bit strong for the lioness' sensitive noise and made it difficult for her to focus.
Meanwhile, Kaleelah rather literally kept the heat on the cowardly archers. With a wild gesture of the her hand, she moved her fireball on top of its previous target. The druid then advanced slightly to keep up with the rest of her party.

Azana didn't dare use Thundercall again. Three peels of Thunder would draw every monster in the building, if they weren't already on there way. Instead she chose to cast one of her spells. Of course, most of her spells were flashy and explosive, but Snapdragon Fireworks would be quieter than Thundercall, and would hopefully proove distracting.
Casting quickly, she watched and focused as the tiny flaming dragon soared off, zooming between combatants to strike her target, the monster in front of Elise. The firework exploded in the square, showering the beast with flare and hopefully stunning it. It certainly didn't look like it could move fast...

Good. Just focus, thought Kaleelah as the druid thrust her palm out toward this new enemy. She clenched her slender hand into a fist, and the Flaming Sphere quickly threw itself at the giant monster as it made its way out the door and into the open air.

Its head is longer, but the same characteristic features are there. It is a sickly brown and red color and unlike the other monsters of this kind, this one wears a item of clothing that resembles a tabard or robe in style. It appears to be the hide of a large leathery creature folded in half with a hole cut in the middle for this monster’s head to poke up through. The tabard-like garment is held close to its body with a thick green rope, and from the rope hand many small bags, and unidentifiable objects that look like small wooden sculptures. Then she begins to dance, the magic of the bard flowing through her and out to her allies as she dances and sings. Hopefully it would be enough to finish off these creatures quickly.
Inspire Courage - +2 to both hit and damage, and +2 against fear effects.

Day 1, Turn 2, round 4 (Initiative count 20 to 17)
As Syndir moves forward the small monster next to him attacks him with a spear
melee Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Another snapdragon firework rockets across the top of the wall toward the large monster
Reflex Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
The large monster seems occupied by the threat of the small person in front of it and does not see the missile coming toward it. The firecracker explodes right between the monster’s eyes, and it is Dazed.
Jacen, Harland, and Kaleelah are up

Kaleelah Highrock |

"Keep on 'em, Nala!" shouted Kaleelah as the blonde druid tightened her grip on her scythe and moved closer to the fray.
Upon hearing Azana's music, Nala was able to focus her attention past her sickness and onto the nearest demonic lizard. With a ferocious roar, the armored lioness launched herself at the first standing enemy in sight. She also seemed to take comfort in the fact that her Mistress was getting ready to join the fray.
______________________________________________
Kaleelah moves to H21.
Nala full-round attacks F21. If Harland's shot killed it, then she takes a five foot step foward and attacks E20.
Nala Bite: 1d20 + 5 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 5 - 2 + 2 = 24
Nala Bite Damage: 1d6 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (5) - 2 + 2 = 5
Nala Claw 1: 1d20 + 5 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 5 - 2 + 2 = 8 Miss!
Nala Claw 2: 1d20 + 5 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 5 - 2 + 2 = 16
Nala Claw 2 Damage: 1d6 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (2) - 2 + 2 = 2

Jacen Darkvalour |

Jacen shakes his head at how this has turned out... he'd said it before... stealth... He was becoming frustrated at not being able to reach his enemies with his blade. That's why he was most deadly... up close where he could whisper in their ears, just before his blade ripped into their backs...
Azana's song of courage suddenly picked up Jacen's spirits! He puts another arrow to the string, draws it back, and takes aim at the newly arrived large enemy. He lets the arrow go with a sharp snap!
Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Day 1, Turn 4, round 4, (End of Round)
Jacen’s arrow sails over the heads of the other creatures in the way and strikes the large monster in the arm.
Harland takes careful aim and hits the small monster with a bullet. The monster staggers, but stays on its feet.
Nala lunges at the small monster, teeth and claws moving with blinding speed. A claw rends the flesh on the monsters exposed leg, while the bite finds the monsters neck and crushes all the life out it. Nala flings the dead creature to the side and snarls threateningly, as Kaleelah comes up quickly behind the lioness.
The Large Monster is Dazed
Near Elise one of the medium sized monsters scrambles up the sloped wall and tries to grab her leg
this is a Grapple attempt and provokes an attack of opportunity from Elise. Technically the monster is prone and modifiers apply
Grapple attempt: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
The monster succeed in getting a hold of Elise's leg, for now.
That is the end of round 4 (and some people say all pathfinder battles only take 3 rounds, pffft)
E,20 has taken 18 hp of damage
C,19 has taken 15 points of damage
C,20 has taken 30 points of damage
Large monster has taken 4 points of damage

Elise Emeria |

"Get off me you big freak!" Elise takes a swing at the grappling creature.
Attack: 1d20 + 12 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 12 - 2 + 2 = 30; Damage: 1d4 + 6 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 6 - 2 + 2 = 8
Crit confirm: 1d20 + 12 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 12 - 2 + 2 = 16; Damage: 1d4 + 6 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 6 - 2 + 2 = 8
She then squirms to try and get her leg free. Escape Artist: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (20) + 14 = 34.

Syndir Apep |

HP - 27/33
Syndir felt the spear rake across his exposed ribs and hissed from the pain. He would've retaliated against the little lizard but the others had killed it with a quickness... and so we fall right back into our old ways...a good sign indeed... He slid beside the one in front of him to give Jacen room to step up and sliced at the big lizard in front of him and that's when the stench hit him. Thankfully he didn't lose his last repast from it though.
5' step to E.19.
Sword attack vs D.19: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 7 + 2 = 25
Damage: 1d8 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 2 = 7
Fort save DC 14: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20

Day 1, Turn 4, Round 5 (intitiative count 25)
Elise’s blow nearly severs the monsters arm
With the blow from Elise’s sword nearly taking the monsters arm off, she easily wrestles her leg out of its grasp. Fighting her way out of its grip distracts her from the task of attacking the large monster, momentarily.
Syndir – can we take a little pause here, I’m confused. From F,20 you cannot take a 5 foot step to E,19 because you would be stepping on to a 45 degree slope something you would not be able to stand upright on, at least without making a combination of something like a climb skill check and maybe and acrobatics skill check. Do you want to try that, or do something different?
E,20 has taken 18 hp of damage

Day 1, Turn 4, Round 5 (intitiative count 25)
Sydir attacks the monster between him and Elise, opening another wound on the creatures chest.
One of the small monsters manages to scramble back to the top of the wall, and begin trying to recover the bow it dropped. The other monster keeps trying to poke Elise with an arrow
I am going to give this attack a flanking bonus because Elise is somewhat occupied by the monster that had grabbed her leg
Improvised Melee Attack: 1d20 + 5 - 4 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 5 - 4 + 2 = 18
but the monster cannot overcome Elise's armor
it is now the rest of the party's turn
E,20 has taken 25 hp of damage
C,19 has taken 15 points of damage
C,20 has taken 30 points of damage
D,19 has taken 31 points of damage

Azana |

Maintaining her dance, Azana smiled as the third Snapdragon flew towards the large monster, zigzagging it's way along and exploding in the creature's face. These things were tough, and there were a lot of them, but they were slowly working there way through the mass.
As with previous rounds, the large monster takes 1d4 ⇒ 4 in fire damage and must make the DC16 Reflex save to avoid Stunning.
Following the blast Azana moved up behind Syndir, calling out, "Everyone still OK?" Azana moves to G20

Day 1, Turn 2, round 5 (Initiative count 17 to 14)
Again the large monster is stunned by the exploding firework going off in its face.
It would be easy for Harland to bring these creatures down with the shots he is firing, but not this time, every time he is sure he has a clear shot, someone gets in the way, and this shot is no different.
just for clarification, Harland ignores the penalty to hit (a -4) for firing into Melee, but the monster, because it is on the other side of Syndir) still receives a +4 adjustment to its AC, for cover.
E,20 has taken 25 hp of damage
C,19 has taken 15 points of damage
C,20 has taken 30 points of damage
D,19 has taken 31 points of damage
Large monster has taken 4 points of damage
I will try to update the map tonight

Kaleelah Highrock |

Terquem, Harland never took Azana's Inspire Courage into account. Looking at previous hits and misses, I think the +2 would make all the difference. Also, don't firearms target touch AC?
