Bran steps through the door quickly enough to avoid the bone devil and when he sees it he enters a fury.
"Die monster! You don't belong in this world!"

GM Zelligar |

Bran delivers two solid hits to the Bone Devil. Just barely missed confirming.
The Devil's fiendish power protects it somewhat from the sword. It has no electricity resistance, but it does have DR. So 31 damage to it.
The hobgoblin clerics don't like this at all. One takes a step and tries to Dispel Hamailii's Invisibility Purge.
Dispel: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
That does it! The hobgoblins are all invisible again. Since the caster had to move to get line of sight to Hamailii, you can tell where he is - at least until he moves again.
You hear more chanting, and one of the enemy reappears as he touches Bran.
Touch Attack, Invisible, vs flat-footed touch: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 7 + 2 = 26
Bran Will, Good Hope: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 6 + 2 = 18
A dark power tugs at Bran's soul, trying to weaken him, but through his faith in Kurgess he is able to shake it off. That was Bestow Curse for a permanent (until removed) -6 Str.
The final one appears as he attacks Tal'ariel with his mace, and then conjures a single Mirror Image as a move action.
Attack, Invisible, vs flat-footed: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 9 + 2 = 24
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Trellara blows up the room again.
Trellara UMD: 1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 12 + 2 = 24
Damage: 8d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 5, 3, 1, 1, 2, 1) = 22
Bone Devils are immune to fire, no point in the SR check.
Black Reflex DC 15: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15

Tal'ariel, Good Hope: 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 11 + 2 = 27
The one who attacked Tal'ariel falls to the ground, unconscious and smoldering.

Tal'ariel -7

Daniel Beatty |

Daniel turns to try and finish of the hobgoblin left standing in reach so Bran can concentrate on the devil.

GM Zelligar |

Daniel hits twice. The hobgoblin is still standing, but barely. Green at -54.
Edit: I forgot about the readied action I had specified for Hamailii. Her arrow does strike the cleric as he tries to Dispel her Invisibility Purge. There is no way he can make a DC 31 Concentration check, so he loses the Dispel and the Invisibility Purge remains up.
Blue would then have tried to Dispel instead of attacking Tal'ariel.
Dispel: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
And he fails, and he dies from the Fireball, and Tal'ariel is uninjured.
Black is at -42 and visible.
Tal'ariel is up (and not injured).

Tal'ariel Rhuidon |

Tal'ariel charges the injured cleric!
Charge, Good Hope, Bane, PA: 1d20 + 9 + 2 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 9 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 17; Damage, Good Hope, Bane: 1d10 + 8 + 2 + 2d6 ⇒ (2) + 8 + 2 + (2, 5) = 19.
And misses completely.
-2AC for the round.

GM Zelligar |

Tal'ariel misses with her sword.
With Bran having stepped between the Bone Devil and its previous prey, the fiend attacks Bran. Bran is AC 22 when in a Rage and using the Greatsword... got an extra +1 from Shield of Faith I think, making it 23.

Bran Fort, Good Hope: 1d20 + 15 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 15 + 2 = 35
The fiend has the Devil's luck and every one of its attacks hits. Even so, Bran remains in the fight, and shakes off the poison.
Hamailii again readies to interrupt casting with her bow.

Yeah 23 sadly.
Staggering back from multiple blows from the devil, he becomes emboldened and carries out his familiar assault.

"Go back to the Hells where you belong!"
He dances quickly to give Daniel some room to take down their massive foe.

GM Zelligar |

Bran's attack both miss. It is AC 25.
One hobgoblin steps back, uses his Copycat ability, and only then tries to Dispel the Invisibility Purge.
Hamailii misses on a 1: 1d2 ⇒ 1
Hamailii's arrow strikes the image, and his spell goes off!
Dispel: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
But fails to knock out Hamailii's spell.
The other steps back, conjures his own illusory twin, and casts Hold Person on Bran.
Bran Will, Good Hope: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 6 + 2 = 12
Bran freezes up! The nefarious power of the evil dragon-god's magic grabs hold of his mind...
Trellara will cast Vanish on him if needed, but let's see what Daniel and Tal'ariel do.

GM Zelligar |

Daniel hits the Bone Devil twice, but only one hit seems to injure it.
His attacks do not count as Good, correct? And he is not Smiting? Unfortunately it is DR 10/Good, not 10/Silver or Good.
Round 3 - GOOD HOPE +2
Daniel -1
Trellara -15
Tal'ariel
Bone Devil -37
Bran -41 (Held)
Hamailii
Warpriests (Black -42 w/1 image, Green -24)
Trellara moves up and casts Vanish on Bran.
The Bone Devil stabs at her with its tail as she passes.
Tail AOO: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25
Damage: 3d4 + 5 ⇒ (4, 3, 3) + 5 = 15
Trellara Fort, Good Hope: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 6 + 2 = 25
She resists the poison, then casts her spell. Bran disappears.
Remaining 4 1st and 4 2nd.

Tal'ariel Rhuidon |

Tal'ariel takes a quick sip from her sipping jacket and disappears momentarily, only to appear behind one of the clerics!
Sipping jacket to get a round of vanish, move and attack green while invisible with flank.
Bane Curve Blade, PA: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (6) + 15 = 21; Damage, Bane, Sneak: 1d10 + 8 + 3 + 2 + 2d6 ⇒ (8) + 8 + 3 + 2 + (2, 3) = 26

GM Zelligar |

That would miss by 1, Tal'ariel (their flat-footed is also 22), but I think you might have forgotten a bonus. +2 attacking from invisible, +2 flanking, +2 Good Hope, and +2 Goblin-Bane. But then your PA should be. It doesn't drop him if you hit, so let me know and I'll adjust. Probably not worth Trellara using a 2nd-level slot for a Gallant Inspiration here. Also, your damage would be +2d6 from Bane and +2d6 from Sneak Attack.
The Bone Devil has numerous targets to choose from. While he would love to rip Bran's throat out, the Vanish makes that difficult. He settles on the champion of Kelinahat.
Bite: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (19) + 14 = 33
Damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Claw: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (19) + 14 = 33

Damage: 3d4 + 5 ⇒ (2, 4, 1) + 5 = 12
Daniel Fort, Good Hope: 1d20 + 13 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 13 + 2 = 29
The Bone Devil's luck continues to hold, as nearly all of his attacks land. Daniel resists the venom of its tail stinger.
Its voice echoes in your minds.
Foolish mortals, to challenge the might of Tiamat. I will crack your bones and eat the marrow. I will flay your skin from your corpses to decorate my lair.
Surrender and I will let one of you live after but a mere week in the rack. That you may limp back to your feeble man-village and spread the word of what is to come. That they may bow down or flee in terror.
Persist in your defiance and you will all die horribly.
Bran Will: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 6 + 2 = 27
Bran breaks free of the Infernal magic! (Can 5' step if you wish.)
Hamailii again lines up a shot.
Damage: 2d8 + 6 ⇒ (1, 7) + 6 = 14

She resists the Hold Person attempt.
The other (Black) casts a spell on Daniel, shouting "FALL."
Hamailii's arrow hits his illusory duplicate as he does so, and he then takes a move action to conjure another.
Daniel Will, Good Hope: 1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 12 + 2 = 33
The Command spell fails.
Round 3

Bran O'Dimm |

Bran shakes off the paralyzing magic, the fiendish restraint giving him pause, before moving into a better position to hopefully set up a new attack.

Tal'ariel Rhuidon |

I forgot +2 from attacking from invisibility, so it hits.
Sneak Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 1) = 5
Tal'ariel keeps her focus on the clerics! She disappears for a moment again, then reappears to strike one of the clerics! Sipping jacket, move, cleave.

She strikes true and her next attack goes at the next cleric. Not sure if she's still invisible, but enemy is flat-footed due to surprise follow-through feat.
Curve Blade, Good Hope, Bane: 1d20 + 10 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 10 + 2 + 2 = 21; Damage, Bane, Sneak: 1d10 + 8 + 2 + 4d6 ⇒ (1) + 8 + 2 + (1, 1, 4, 1) = 18; Image?: 1d2 ⇒ 2.

The first hit gets an extra 7 damage. His AC is now 2 higher verses the devil

GM Zelligar |

Okay, so Green took 31 from Tal'ariel before, bringing it to -55. And then...
Tal'ariel drops two foes with one swing.
The main attack finished Green. On Black, the Cleave just barely missed, but still popped the image, so the Cleaving Finish then was able to hit.
For Daniel, those are all hits, and the crit confirms. I believe that means the +7 bonus for evil outsider also doubles on the crit. And you ignore all DR of course, so... 116 damage. Which would have killed the Bone Devil if it were at full.
In a whirlwind of steel and mithral, Daniel slashes the Bone Devil. It falls to the ground, quite dead.
After making sure the same is the case for the hobgoblins, Hamailii channels to heal.

How can Trellara find Bran? Well, uh... Hamailii's Invisibility Purge should have stopped Trellara from being able to do Vanish on Bran. My bad. Slight retcon - she just pulled him 5' back and out of CdG range.
Bran at -9
Daniel at -5
Push on quickly down the stairs the Night Hag had been heading for, or explore the level more?
It has been 1 minute since you entered the Fane of Tiamat.
Big Map is up.

Bran O'Dimm |

Bran breathes a sigh of relief and lets his rage subside. "I think we need to go where that Night Hag went. If there is a ritual, a spellcasting fiend like that could very well be a part of it."

Tal'ariel Rhuidon |

Talariel nods. "I agree. Let's get off this level and push forward into the next."
Straight up the hall and down the stairs?

GM Zelligar |

The stairs lead down, deeper into the mountain.
This cavernous chamber is lit by the flickering illumination of hundreds of red, blue, green, black, and white candles fitted into niches all along the walls or into candle-holders affi xed to the sides of the long pews that line the southern half of the room. The ceiling vaults to a height of what looks to be nearly sixty feet, but it’s hard to tell for sure due to the hundreds of dangling leather strands festooned with scales and claws. These grim decorations clatter and twist softly on faint breezes, hanging in places down to just ten feet off the ground.
The northern half of the room is raised five feet above the floor of the southern half; a short f light of stairs to the east leads up to this area. The raised area is dominated by a large stone altar. Stony dragon heads rise up like the curling fingers of an upturned palm around the altar, which itself is stained, scorched, and pitted. To either side of the altar stands a twelve-foot-tall stone statue of a five-headed dragon, her leering heads snaking down to look at the altar as if in curiosity. Each statue has a long tail that ends in a hooked stinger.
Five large alcoves twenty feet off the ground overlook the northern half of the room; there seems to be no easy way of reaching these lofty perches.
Tal'ariel: 1d20 + 14 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 14 + 2 = 36
Bran: 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 11 + 2 = 23
Daniel: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 9 + 2 = 28

Tal'ariel Rhuidon |

"I hear them too. Perhaps we should withdraw momentarily and prepare for battle," suggests Tal'ariel.
She casts Detect Magic and begins observing without moving from her position.

GM Zelligar |

It is hard to tell if the wyverns see your or not... most likely they do, as you are not all hidden, but they haven't reacted yet.
"I could get two with the wand, but not all five," replies Trellara. "Unless we get them to converge."
Back up and prepare?
Bran got the Fly spell from Hamailii. I am not sure what you all have for scrolls and potions.

Tal'ariel Rhuidon |

I think yeah, turn around and prepare. Tal'ariel wants to drink her Barkskin potion, cast Fly on Daniel, and use a Wand of Shield. Probably cast Haste right before if that's possible, or else as her first round action.

GM Zelligar |

Tal'ariel spends a few rounds preparing with spells.
Daniel and Bran both have Fly now.
She casts Haste as Trellara begins Inspire Courage.
Hamailii uses Blessing of the Faithful on Bran to boost his attacks.
The party leaps to the attack!
There is no surprise round here, but rather than have Tal'ariel start things in the round before combat, I will just give you all 20's for initiating combat.

Tal'ariel Rhuidon |

Tal'ariel takes a step to get a better angle, then conjures a burst of glitter to blind the wyverns!
Glitterdust, Will DC18.

Feeling the desecration in the air, Bran tries to focus and drop his foe.

The enchantments on him allow him to swing the greatsword with supernatural speed.

GM Zelligar |

Daniel strikes the wyvern twice before Bran finishes it off with his first swing.
Bran then redirects his remaining attacks to another figured you would 5' step and attack Yellow or Black.
Black at -59.
I think Tal'ariel can hit two. Yellow and Black?

Daniel is hit once, is grabbed in the creature's jaws. Grappled.
The blinded wyvern manages to shake off the Glitterdust, and the one that resisted the spell attacks Bran ineffectually.
Trellara, understanding the need to end this quickly, moves up and uses the wand again.

@Daniel, you might want to wait until after Bran and Tal'ariel, to see if they can either drop the wyvern grappling you or free you some other way.

Bran O'Dimm |

Seeing the jaws clamp down on Daniel, Bran knows the best way to handle this situation was to overwhelm them while they were distracted by their prey.

Daniel finishes off the last wyvern.
There seems to be no way out from this cavern.
You split up and search the back of the alcoves and the walls between them.
With Good Hope, the Perception checks are: Bran +13, Tal'ariel +16, Daniel +11, Hamailii +20, Trellara +13.
Given the size of the room, and the DCs, I will say it takes 1 minute for Tal'ariel to find the secret door leading out.
Total time elapsed since entering: 3 minutes.
A short corridor leads to the next space.
The air in this large cavern is cold and smells musty. Thick carpets of pallid fungus grow around the stalagmites that cover the floor of this cave, and razor-sharp stalactites hang from the ceiling above. The cave’s floor has three tiers, each rising five feet above the one before it. The ceiling slopes upward to the north as well, never reaching a height of more than twenty feet. To the far north, a fifteen-foot-wide passageway continues north. To the south, a massive, irregular pit yawns into darkness.
There are three dangerous beasts in here - Greenspawn Razorfiends, like you fought in the swamp. However, as Bran and Daniel are still Flying the terrain which would be an advantage to them is much less so. And the tactics described for them are somewhat hampered due to the fact that they have only +2 Stealth. Plus, the module has them using Sunder on your gear which is not a great design choice. And they are rather similar to the wyverns.
So... after a short fierce battle, backed up by a few Fireballs and Hamailii's bow, you finish off these beasts.
Time elapsed: 4 minutes.
Search the deep dark pit, or take the passageway north?

Bran O'Dimm |

Bran looks down and hears the plunk, "I think we should avoid this. Whatever lays underneath can't be good."

Tal'ariel Rhuidon |

Tal'ariel nods. "No time to waste on mysterious pits." She looks northward instead.

GM Zelligar |

Tal'ariel looks northward.
A wide hallway leads to the next room.
This circular chamber is dominated by a three-tiered circular platform. Five sinuous stone dragon necks arc up from around the second tier, their heads turned upward to aim open maws at a pulsating hemisphere set in the ceiling above. Within each of the dragon’s jaws glows a brilliant sphere of rapidly pulsating light, shifting from white to red to green to blue to black. The ceiling in this area rises to a thirty foot-high dome. An alcove to the north houses a ten-foot-wide shaft leading up through the ceiling.
Five priests stand at the dragon heads on the pedestal's second tier. They are colored White, Green, Blue, Red, and Black on the map.
Two more priests, in different garb, stand back-to-back on the pedestal's top tier. Grey and Yellow.
All of them seem to be chanting, directing prayers up the central shaft above the pedestal.
Despite Tal'ariel's great Stealth, there are four shadowy entities in the room that she cannot hide from.
Knowledge (Religion), Good Hope: 1d20 + 14 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 14 + 2 = 17
Tal'ariel knows these are wraiths, dangerous incorporeal undead. They can suck the life out of you with a touch. Incorporeal touch for Con drain, although there is a Fort save on that. And as a bonus fact I'll tell you that they have Lifesense, the dirty cheating bastards.
The wraiths shriek, and the priests turn their attention from their chanting.

There are a lot of foes here, and wraiths are quite dangerous. So consider your tactics to avoid being overwhelmed.

Tal'ariel Rhuidon |

"Beware--wraiths!" says Tal'ariel in warning. She draws a scroll of Haste and casts it on the group! 2 scrolls remain.
She then steps out of line of sight.

Bran O'Dimm |

Wraiths? Of what? Of who?
He wasn't sure what to make of the situation. After a quick assessment regarding ghosts he puts his buckler away; it wasn't going to help against their ghastly touches and he figured they were the largest threat.
"We need to do this very carefully." He glanced towards Trellara, "Do you think you can launch a fireball in there? Get them to engage us?"
Thinking on moving a little, and ready a Cavalier Inspiration on the first threat that comes. It should help with the Con saves.

GM Zelligar |

Before Trellara can react, the enemy acts!
First, the warpriests cast some spells... though you cannot tell what they might be.
Then, the wraiths fly down the hall to attack!
Two are able to reach you.
Incorporeal Touch on Tal'ariel: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
The elf's Shield spell saves her from the wraith's deadly touch, its arcane power crackling.

Fort Save, Good Hope: 1d20 + 13 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 13 + 2 = 20
